Always been inspired by mythology of any kind - Greek, Roman, but especially Norse. Hrimfaxi and Skinfaxi were the horses which brought the day and the night, or, more precisely, pulled the chariots of Nott and Dagr respectively. Dagr galloped across the sky and brought the day, while Nott came in pursuit and brought the night.
