Hey, I saw what someone said about your poetry and I had to say something. They said that your poetry had no rhythm or essence and that isn't true. Your poetry is amazing! Please don't change everything over what one person says

Thank you :) That means a lot, I’m pleased you enjoy my poetry :) Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I definitely won’t be changing because of one person - I always say that the most important thing in anything is to be yourself. Really my reply was just a lil bit of sarcasm - everyone is obviously entitled to their opinion but the mildly patronising tone of the original message annoyed me a bit haha! To the other guy, not all poetry has to have good rhythm - especially those written in free-verse, which is what DJ here writes in primarily. As for the essence and apparent lack of it, that's your interpretation and certainly not one that represents his

Hi :) Thanks for the message and support :) I agree - I think that’s the beauty of poetry - it can be literally anything, free or rhythmical or anything. I guess it’s all down to personal interpretation and each to their own. This message certainly did make me smile, so thank you :)
