The Four Act Structure of The Travelling Circus of Lacrimosa - My Second Novel.


The four acts, or parts, which make up my second novel,The Travelling Circus of Lacrimosa.The chapters become Acts because of the form of the novel - it combines a play and book, a novel and a work of drama. The novel form holds everything together, but is interspersed with monologues, soliloquies and stage directions. A different poem, setting the scene for what is to come, begins each new act.
