Humboldt's Natur Wasser: The Drink that goes with The Invention of Nature
I've collaborated with the amazing Tamworth Distillery in New Hampshire. They created the most delicious drink to accompany my book! Now, that's what we like. Books, cocktails and Humboldt. It's absolutely delicious - it's Tamarind-infused as a homage to Humboldt who used Tamarind to make the water of the Orinoco drinkable. Only 500 bottles were produced.
You can try them at some of my talks and they've also organised three amazing dinners (see events page) in NY, DC and Philadelphia (to buy tickets click here)
Here is a link to their website which describes the drink.
Cocktails are served at my talks in Mount Vernon, Philadelphia, NY and at the MHS in Boston.

Invention of Nature: Staff Pick Publishers Weekly
It's so great to see that people are getting what my book is about
"After reading her marvelous book its clear that wed all benefit from a greater familiarity with his [Humboldt's] accomplishments as well as his way of perceiving the world. Ecological thinkingor the act of examining how parts interact as a wholeirks those of a reductionist bent, just as it smacks of antagonism to capital, however mild such antagonism may ultimately be. Wulf likely recognizes this, or maybe she simply has good timing. Either way, her more-than-complete account implies as much about our current moment as it reveals about Humboldts. - Publishers Weekly

Invention of Nature: Review in Irish Examiner
A nice very early review in the Irish Examiner:
This is a big book about a big subject, written with scholarship and enthusiasm A book that may help restore his well- deserved reputation as the father of environmentalism the phrase lost hero of science in the subtitle of her book is no exaggeration Irish Examiner
