Someone appears to be killing teenagers, and the MO looks eerily similar to something for which the half-fairy oracle, Calliope, might be responsible. Throw in a rogue wolf pack claiming allegiance to Secret’s mother, Mercy, and she’ll have miles to go before she rests.

Warning: This book contains a promise fulfilled, sex that’s out of this world, and more heartache than one hybrid assassin can handle.

"Like, do I need to bring clothes I can get blood on? Or a shovel or something? I was watching Breaking Bad with Nolan, and you shouldn't try to dissolve him in the bathtub because that'll like, melt the tub or something. But it's gross, so don't do that."


Sierra Dean does some of the funniest and wittiest dialog I know of. If you like urban fantasy with snarky heroines, these books are awesome!

My Teaser
I didn't want to feel angry or cheated or tricked, but I did. I spent the rest of the long flight mourning the loss of the boy I'd foolishly allowed myself to envision for years on end. By the time we arrived in Ireland I'd said good-bye to the dream, and let him go. It was time to move on and face reality. Life was too short to wallow.
To short. Ugh.

Our heroine has just found out she's engaged to a wee man, a Leprechaun. Yes, that's correct, a Leprechaun. And I absolutely adored this book, like I do all Wendy Higgins' books. It's a great price, so if you're looking for a fun paranormal young adult, this is a great choice.

My Teaser
   "The city lights. The view's amazing."
   "Unfortunately it's static. Once you've examined it, there's no reason to look again. Like paintings."
   "But it changes all the time. What about in the early morning? Or when it rains? What about coming up here just to sit?"
   I had no answer that was likely to satisfy her. I had seen the view when I bought the apartment. It did not change much in different conditions. And the only times I just sat were when I was waiting for an appointment or if I was reflecting on a problem, in which case interesting surroundings would be a distraction.
 
This novel is unlike anything I've ever read before. Imagine a book in the point-of-view of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. That's what it's like reading this. And I loved every minute of it.

   Georgia threw up her hands. Sol was a one-note song. "I don't believe it. You really think every man in the world is dying to sleep with me."

   She rolled her eyes.

The rest of the scene just keeps getting better and sweeter and hotter. If you haven't read a McKnight book, you're missing out on some hot Texas cowboys.
