Finally!

I finally finished the sequel to Becoming Bimbo! All I need to is add the closing sequence, run through it a few times to fix it up, and get an independent party to proof read it. Lordy me, but that was a painful write!

Now I can get on with other stories!

Becoming Bimbo II

Well, I seem to have mustered up the strength to finish the story - at least it seems that way. There is still a little ways to go, but it is mostly written. All I need is to get it to a logical place to close, add the horrifying ending and get it edited.

Of course, the editing process sucks. I will find all my errors and where my phrasing sucks - not in the good way - and have to fix it.

As a warning, I this story is probably more difficult to read than the first. There is a lot of...psychological inner torture. At least I think there is. Not quite as much sex as before, and what there is is sort of repetitive. The story sort of demanded it. Nonetheless, for body-mod fans there should be at least enough to make you cringe.

The Plot Thins

So, here I am in the middle of Becoming Bimbo Part II and I come up with a few interesting ideas for stories - what I think is erotic stuff - and I have absolutely zero plot ideas, no story arc, etc.

Now, I do not claim to be Mark Twain...I don't have the hair for it, nor do I even claim to be a decent writer. But I would like to at least have the ability to put together a decent plot.

Fuck!

Continuing adventures...

As of my last entry, I had suffered the loss of a large portion of a sequel to Becoming Bimbo. It was quite a drag, I must say. Just the same, I am well on my way with the sequel, and though the going is slow it is steady and I am building a story I hope will do the original some sort of justice. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Meantime, I have brought an old story over to Goodreads called One Man's Art. It's a short O'Connell chronicle that should give a few of my followers a bit of fun. Do let me know if you enjoyed it.

Continued Frustration

Many of the things I have written have been done so as a personal challenge. I read something, a good idea, that is poorly put to text and think "I can do better." That's how Jerry O'Connell, my late night release of evil, came to life.

Other things I have written were just to see if I could write the same story differently, or if I could take a well-thought idea and better it, make it more believable and horrific.

More recently, I have decided to write a direct sequel to one of my stories. Holy shit is that hard. Maybe if I intended the story as a two or three part tale it would have been easier. But it was a stand alone. Hell, they are all stand alone tales. What the heck was I thinking?

Anyhow, I am going to give it the old college try. Or, I am going to continue giving it the old college try. I just don't want to keep churning out the same story over and over again. Maybe I should retire. Blah!

Frustration

Few things are more frustrating than the beginnings of a story - the set up and initial plan - that gets erased thanks to a Word failure.

That happened to me a few days ago. I had the notions of a new O'Connell Chronicle, set it up, made a few edits and checked it for continuity. I was called away. When I returned tot he story it was gone.

I'm trying to look at it as a way to improve the tale, be more concise, and make improvements. But my little brain wants to call up Microsoft and bitch them out.

Ah, the frustrations of writing. Why do I bother?

New Story

So, as I work on a sequel to Claiming Melissa I am finding it quite difficult. Those of you who know the story understand what an irritating girl Melissa is. Writing that into a story without becoming quite repetitive and boring is a Hell of a challenge. Really, it's the only reason I am doing it. That and the fact that I have yet to write a pony-girl story, which this is. Sometimes I hate writing.

Commercials

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only person who feels like committing heinous acts against the people in bad commercials. I wonder, too, if people have odd questions for the people in those same commercials.

The one commercial that gets me most is the douche commercials. Particularly the one where the daughter acts the mother if she ever gets that "not so fresh" feeling. It ends with the daughter choosing the douche that offers gentle cleansing while the mother gets the more thorough, not so gentle cleansing douche.

What the Hell is the mother doing that she needs the extra cleansing douche; and does her husband know that her vagina needs to be sand blasted?

Excerpts

Since I don't know any other way to make any sort of announcements to those people who pay attention to lil old me, I am going to do so in my blog.

I just uploaded an extended excerpt of Long Weekend for those who care to read it. Just a taste of the book I hope you will all enjoy.

Book Length

When I started writing, lo those many eons ago, I struggled with story length. Writing something that was longer than 50 pages was nearly impossible for me to do. This was not because of a lack of want, nor was it a lack of creativity. I just managed to get everything done in 50 (book format) pages. More recently, two of my books managed to reach around 80-100 pages in book format. And my last two were more like 240 pages.

Oddly enough, all I really shoot for is about 150 pages - enough to titillate and arouse without being tedious or repetitive.

I am not sure why this has happened. All I know is that it is irritating, since it takes so damned long to write lengthy stories. Now, as I have started my next book, I worry it will end up a 400 tome. Yes, I enjoy writing - but really, it's just erotica. Does it have to take so damned long to complete a story?

Stupid writing!
