Editing "One Night of Regrets"
When writing, "One Night of Regrets", I realized that it is a human tendency to want edit things before they are found acceptable to us as we would have them to be....people, events, situations, mistakes in others pasts. Whether you are a writer or not, we all have this tendency. We look at the mistakes of others to determine is they are worthy of our time. Yet, the Bible tells us that God accepts all...along with all their mistakes. He forgives and offers acceptance. This is the kind of love He has commanded us to show to one another...not judging. This is how others will know that we are His followers. Of course, in life, we can't edit out these things. But, we do have the capacity to look beyond these things.
This is the reason, I decided to intentionally leave mistakes in the manuscript of "One Night of Regrets" when sending it to final print. The book is about the many mistakes the character has made after all, and the mistakes that plagued her until she finds salvation and receives peace. By the time you finish the book, you will realize that the main character has written the book. It would not have been fitting for such a character who had made so many mistakes to take on the illusion that in her writing she had suddenly gained perfectionism only in that one area of her life.
Under my quotes you will notice:
Every life is a story. Every story has mistakes. Sometimes it is the mistakes that make the story so much more than it may have been otherwise.
From a Christian stand point, especially in salvation... It is always the mistakes one has made in their life that makes their witness of salvation more compelling. Without the mistakes, it would just be another story...just like all the others.

About My Writing
Often my heart burdens for a particular subject to write about. I start off writing small, very raw, sections - usually three to four paragraphs, just to incorporate the subject into a story. Then I let the story develop from there. I never know exactly how the story will develop. For me there is more of a focus on the subject my heart has been burdened with. I guess you could say, that somehow, the subject creates it's own story along the way. This is what I love about writing. At times, it seems as the story is allowing me to write about it. There can only be one ending to a truly biblical, inspirational story, no matter what the story line is - an ending that agrees with the Bible.

Poems For the Soul (Sneak Peek)
The Eye Of The Storm
In the eye of the storm there is perfect peace -
No fear, or sorrow - no pain, no grief.
Though trouble hurls outside the eye -
Everywhere around, no answer to their cries.
The wind - it carries them every which way.
But, within the eye, I choose to stay.
Looking for answers they can't seem to find.
From inside the eye - I bid them inside.
Tears of compassion roll down my face -
As they ignore and they stay in turmoil's place.
In the eye of the storm, I am with my God.
Can't they see no trouble with Him can trod?
How long must I call until they all will join -
God in perfect peace - within their storm?
In the eye of the storm there is perfect peace -
No fear, or sorrow - no pain, no grief.
Though trouble hurls outside the eye -
Everywhere around, no answer to their cries.
The wind - it carries them every which way.
But, within the eye, I choose to stay.
Looking for answers they can't seem to find.

Tears of compassion roll down my face -

In the eye of the storm, I am with my God.
Can't they see no trouble with Him can trod?
How long must I call until they all will join -
God in perfect peace - within their storm?

Thoughts of Faith: The Journey Home
Coming along quite well with the sequel to One Night of Regrets. Many twists and turns are planned for the conclusion. Characters will share many of the trials we all face on a daily basis. Messages from a godly mother help Jacob, as he is now older, choose his own path in life. Still a ways to go to finish, but it will be well worth the wait for "Thoughts of Faith: The Journey Home"!

Poetry Flows
Recent days have had me writing poetry - one poem a day. I find this odd since I have never been able to rhyme anything before.
I find myself enjoying getting down in print the poems that are flooding my mind.
Nonetheless, it looks as though I may have enough poems to publish my first Christian poetry book by the time I am ready to publish Thoughts of Faith: The Journey Home. I pray when it is published, you will find inspiration within - and that somehow the poems will help grow your faith.

Thoughts of Faith
I am well into my current manuscript, Thoughts of Faith: The Journey Home. Jacob is now grown and has to decided which path he is going to take in his own life. He finds guidance from his mother's words from her journal that Jacob finds shortly after her passing away.
It's been taxing to write so much of the manuscript in first person for the journal entries of Becca, Jacob's mother. As I write, I find that her words are leading me down a journey of a fictional character that seems oh so real.
I pray that reading this story... Jacob's story... touches your heart and strengthens your faith as writing it seems to be strengthening mine.
I am not sure of the release date for Thoughts of Faith: The Journey Home, but I will update with progress.
