Heart Shaped Rock wins TOP HONORS in Readers Favorite Book Awards 2014 in category of Young Adult Romance! WOOHOO!
SO thrilled and proud to tell you my young adult romance, Heart Shaped Rock, has been awarded gold medal TOP HONORS in the category of Young Adult Romance in the Readers Favorite Book Awards 2014 in a field of thousands and thousands of entries! I AM SO THRILLED AND GRATEFUL! Thank you to all who have read my little bookie and posted reviews and emails to me. WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Time to celebrate!!!

Heart Shaped Rock tattoo
If you have read my book Rocking the Pink, you know I left the hospital after my last treatment for breast cancer and went straight to a tattoo parlor and got a tattoo that reads "I'm Still Here." It's in a place no one sees unless I'm in a bathing suit. I followed that after publication of my first book (Rocking the Pink) with another tattoo, right under the first that says "ROCKING THE PINK" (naturally). Now that I've released my first novel (HEART SHAPED ROCK) I plan to get another under those tattoos to honor my first novel (Rocking the Pink was a memoir). I was thinking the word ROCK in the shape of a heart (Heart Shaped Rock). I am creating a sort of running list of the things I am proud of accomplishing since my cancer battle, which was some what of a rebirth, a fresh start on life. The tattoos are a bucket list in reverse, I suppose. If you are a good doodler and can post an idea for my Heart Shaped Rock tattoo, I'd love to see it! I'm not big into pictures and graphics. I really, really like words. But I suppose I could have a heart shape in there somewhere. Like a heart and then word rock? I dunno. Any ideas? Please post at www.facebook.com/lauraroppe Thank you!!!! Heart Shaped Rock is here!
My young adult romance/coming of age novel, Heart Shaped Rock, is now available! In print and ebook through Amazon, and ebook everywhere else.
I wrote the soundtrack, and four artists, including myself, perform the music, all in different musical genres.

Kindle Love Stories
I am pinching myself! Hosting "Kindle Love Stories" each week is a dream come true! I get to talk to the most interesting, passionate, wonderful people about great books, love and romance. What more could I ask for? And it's such a thrill that my music and songs provide the soundtrack for the show!!!!!!!!!!!
Last week, I got to talk to author Tracy Brogan, and she just melted my heart. What a beautiful person. This week, I got to talk to Catherine Bybee, and she blew my mind. Such a pistol, such a strong and confident woman. She calls herself a "pantser," meaning she flies by the seat of her pants when writing, as opposed to plotting and planning. I think we should all take inspiration from Catherine as we "write" the next chapters of our lives!
Each week I also talk to Aestas of Aestas Book Blog, Duchess Nicole, and Brigid of Flying Kickapow. Wow, these ladies really know a lot about romance fiction. They are ON IT. Their enthusiasm and passion really comes through. I think we hit a groove this week . . . take a listen and let me know what you think!
