Endings, and Life Goes On
With the blog tour over, life returns to normal. Which is nice, but I've been hit with a sinus bomb that's left me dizzy and tired, with burning eyes and ringing ears. It landed in about 30 seconds this morning, on the heels of five sneezes in a row. What the heck is that about?
Gives me an excuse to sit and write, I guess. We spent yesterday with friends, exploring the Oakland museum and hanging out at their house, eating and talking. For twelve hours. It's amazing how with some people, time ...

Blog Tour Day #9, Time Travel Journals: Shipbuilder
It's possible you thought it would never end, but the day has come. The last day of the blog tour! What a ride it's been, going all over the world on people's blogs, and meeting a few of their friends along the way.
I am so grateful to all my hosts for their generosity, and to everyone who left (or leaves) a comment.
Now – on to the last post, over at Sue Ann Bowling's blog. Sue Ann gave me the chance to interview some of my favorite people: Thomas Andrews, Casey Wilson, and Sam Altair. Yes, I ...

Write Campaign Challenge #1
The first challenge in Write Campaign is to write a 200-word flash fiction piece, starting with the phrase, "the door swung open." Extra credit for ending with that phrase, and extra-extra credit for using 200 words exactly. So here we go:
The door swung open. Nancy hesitated, not certain she wanted to enter.
A crash behind her made up her mind, spurring her inside. The bang of the door slamming closed covered her scream as she came up hard against a brick wall. Turning to hold the wall with...
Blog Tour Day 6, The Time Travel Journals: Shipbuilder
We're approaching the home stretch! Today is Day 6, and I'm excited to appear over at Darke Conteur's blog. Today's topic touches on one of my favorite questions: what would it be like to travel back in time? What would you do? How would you adjust?
Look for Darke Conteur's paranormal series The Watchtower: Terror Tower, later this year.
Now go read the post!

A Moment of Silence…
Dinner was so good.
It was all the better because it was so impromptu. Not that what I'd been planning was so bad, just that what replaced it was heaven.
I had some ingredients that needed to be used up (pattypan squash and a large heirloom tomato). Then I made an abrupt decision to pick up a few groceries. I had planned to wait a day or two, but we were low on milk and if I had to get that, then I may as well get the rest. I'm sure you understand.
So at the store, I decide it's time we had...
