When I feel this way—and I have had my share of it for a very long time now—I give myself a break. I still have to get up, but maybe I don’t have to be “on.” I don’t have to put on the “nice face.” I am okay with who and how I am, what makes me me. I am not perfect, and my life is not about pleasing others.
I am a grown woman, but I suspect many who read this blog are not. Even if they are, they may still feel this way sometimes.
Be gentle with yourselves, my friends. Please. This, too, shall pass.
