Rise and Shine

Hey everyone!
I just wanted to let you know that I’m not dead.  I’ve just been taking a break after a grueling deadline, a fate I wish on NO man. I am officially done with my trilogy and I’m ready to interact with the outside world. I’m not even kidding. I have to wear shades everywhere I go because I’m not used to sunlight. These are the attributes of a hermit and I’m way too cute for that look. I’m seriously feeling the drain of writing 3 books back-to-back within a 16-month time span,...

Cambions Gone Euro

Hey guys!
I’ve interrupted my celebration —which consists of cake and doing the Snoopy dance in my skivvies in front of my cat who denies any association with me— to bring good news in threes!
I escaped the fiery wrath of Kirkus Reviews for BURNING EMERALD. You can read here. For those who have had your book fall victim to the Eye of Sauron, you can understand that it’s quite a heart-stopping feat. Many souls have perished; many a dignity have shriveled under a single line of a Kirkus Rev...

COUNTDOWN TO COOLNESS

BURNING EMERALD, book 2 of The Cambion Chronicles will be in stores in 14 Days! Yay!
The story of Samara and her sugar-addicted Cambion boyfriend Caleb continues and the supernatural shenanigans pile sky high! The summer of love is over and Samara begins her senior year under the social radar to avoid a hormonal craze with the male students. The balance between the Cambion world and her own leads to vandalism, food poisoning, attempted murder, and an unusual case of mistaken identity.
All...

Prude-tude

Dear Virgin Female Protagonist,
I think I speak for all sexually active teens in the world when I ask you to kindly remove your head out of your rectal region and dismount your high horse. Your time in the convent may have skewed your world views or somehow erased the memory of what century you live in, so allow me to introduce you to the twenty-first century with wide internet access and highly sexualized television shows.  No one is asking you to put out for the entire football tea...

Restocking the Pantry

Hey guys! I know it's been a minute, but I've been busting my ass writing book three of The Cambion Chronicles. With that complete, I am now able to bug you guys good and proper and partake in what I like to call "Restocking the Pantry."
Stephen King calls it a "tool box", but I call it a pantry, the metaphysical storage where ideas, cool phrases, and techniques are accumulated over time by research and reading. Yes, READING! Anything and everything—not just your pet genre. That's pretty...

Writer Interrupted

Hey Guys! Just giving you an update on what's going on with me. I have to say it's been a hectic start to an exciting year. Things should be going great. Blue birds should be chirping on my shoulder, furry woodland creatures should want to befriend me. I should suddenly know how to sing and do so at random and expect everyone to already know the lyrics and sing along.

Book one, Living Violet is in stores, and it's follow up, Burning Emerald, will be out at the end of May. Right now, I'm...

Ask The Author

I'm so happy with the responses and feedback from those who have read LIVING VIOLET. But I've notice this is creating some questions about characters, plot, and what's to come. So I'm opening the floor for anyone with questions, and I'll do my best to answer them without spoiling the story. Ask any question you want: mythology, character motives, writing habits, my shoe size; whatever. I'm all ears!

Okay there are a few FAQ's I'm getting lately so I figured I'd post them to get the ball...

A.D.D Movies

This is totally random, but I thought I would throw it out into the stratosphere anyway. There are some movies that you can NOT just browse while channel surfing. The kind of movie that no matter how many times you've seen it, NO MATTER what scene it's on you will sit there in a trance and watch it all the way to the end credits. They're usually long, action-packed adventures that suck you into the television and steals hours of your day, and arguably, a part of your soul.
Case in point: Die...
