Turning The Page at Kramer Middle School, Washington, DC
TURNING THE PAGE brings authors to partner schools in DC as part of their efforts to bring books to life and support DC public school students and families. It was my honor and great fun to join the kids, parents, mentors, and teachers at Kramer Middle School for dinner and conversation last week. Students who read IF ONLY in a book group did a powerful word art project with Kori Johnson, the partnership manager at TTP, based on the similar challenges faced by the protagonist and the students. Check out this fabulous non-profit that is truly making a difference. http://www.turningthepage.org
