J.R. Rogers’ MISSION TO MOROCCO is a five-star must-read!

In MISSION TO MOROCCO, Author J.R. Rogers has put a refreshing new spin on WW2 spy stories.

This authentic and atmospheric tale pits American intelligence agency cohort Lieutenant Sam Bradford against the might of an enemy intent on destroying American Navy blimps patroling the French Moroccan coast and theStraits of Gibraltar.

Lt. Bradford has a worthy adversary in one Colonel Ferdinand Hecht, the SS officer tasked with directing French spies recruited to report on the whereabouts of the navy blimps. Neither man is what he seems: Hecht is posing as a diplomat while Bradford adopts the guise of a war correspondent.

What follows is a fast-moving, gut-wrenching, nail-biting spy story rich in tension and intrigue, and even with a touch of romance. And all in an exotic setting.

If you thought WW2 spy stories have been done to death…think again! MISSION TO MOROCCO is a 5-star must-read.         -Review by Lance Morcan

The science of racism

Eugenics, or the science of improving a population by controlled breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics, has been around since the mid-1800’s.

Social engineering some call it.

Genocide. Sterilization of the mentally ill, blacks, homosexuals and other undesirables. Euthenasia. Forced pregnancies and birth control. Racial segregation. Compulsory abortions. Genetic screening. These are examples of eugenics practices and policies adopted to varying degrees by various countries until commonsense prevailed and most countries banned such practices.

Although we don’t specifically tackle eugenics or racial issues in our thriller series The Orphan Trilogy, we use these early eugenics experiments as inspiration for the cold and ruthless way our fictional orphans are genetically engineered. Products of the Genius Sperm Bank, a real-world eugenics experiment, the orphans all have the genes of carefully selected white male donors.

Supervising the eerie experiment was Omega’s own Doctor Frankenstein – better known as Doctor Pedemont, the brilliant biomedical scientist responsible for the radical science behind it. Over the past few years, with the help of his team of geneticists, Doctor Pedemont had painstakingly selected the fetus’ genes from thousands of sperm donations combined with the genes of his female subjects. The donations had come from another medical experiment referred to as the Genius Sperm Bank. The Orphan Factory

In all three books in the trilogy, we also mention eugenics and cover very similar issues. Numerous book critics have referenced this wretched history of eugenics in their reviews for our series.

What’s scary is that some independent researchers believe eugenics is not just a thing of the past.

The motivation behind the Genius Sperm Bank, which had been initiated over a decade earlier, was to advance the breeding of super-intelligent people. The bank was stocked full of semen donations solicited from many of the world’s most intelligent men. The Orphan Factory

A short history of eugenics

Early eugenicists blamed genetics on polluting Mankind’s gene pool. They cited everything from alcoholism and prostitution to homosexuality and feeble-mindedness as examples of defective genes, and favored elimination ahead of treatment.

Eugenics’ original proponents were active throughout much of Europe, but it was in the US that eugenics really struck a chord – before the rise of Nazi Germany that is.

In the early days, the American eugenics movement received the financial backing of the likes of the Rockefeller Foundation and the Carnegie Institution as well as many high profile individuals such as Winston Churchill, H.G. Wells and Theodore Roosevelt. Eugenics was taught at many learning institutions and by the early 1900’s eugenic policies were introduced into legislation.

The Carnegie Institution in Washington D.C…prominent in America’s eugenics movement.

The Carnegie name crops up an awful lot in the shameful history of eugenics.

As Edwin Black states in his book War Against the Weak: Eugenics and America’s Campaign to Create a Master Race, in 1904, the Carnegie Institution established a laboratory complex on Long Island that stockpiled millions of index cards on ordinary Americans as researchers carefully plotted the removal of families, bloodlines and whole peoples.

And in 1911, a Carnegie-sponsored study explored solutions to ridding the population of people with defective genes. While euthanasia was shelved as one possible solution, marriage restrictions, racial segregation and forced abortions were deemed most acceptable.

Incidentally, euthanasia was only temporarily shelved as a possible solution. Proponents considered the timing wasn’t yet right to suggest so drastic a measure.“Fitter Families Contest” run by the American Eugenics Society in the 1920′s.

Compulsory sterilizations

Indiana passed the world’s first eugenics-motivated sterilization law in the early 20th Century. Thirty US states soon followed Indiana’s lead by making it legal to sterilize those deemed genetically inferior, especially psychiatric patients.

Those with certain types of mental illness weren’t the only ones sterilized en masse, however. Promiscuous women, prostitutes and females with perceived negative sexual orientations like bisexuality or lesbianism were often sterilized by authorities, while for men sterilizations were regularly done to curb excessive aggression in certain types of criminals.

A pro eugenics exhibit draws a crowd at a Kansas fair in 1929.

Outside the US, various countries including Brazil, Belgium, Sweden and Canada implemented the policy of sterilizing citizens ruled not worthy of reproduction.

During the years that eugenics legislation was in effect in the US, around 65,000 American citizens were forcibly sterilized. Although compulsory sterilization has been considered a human rights violation in most parts of America since WW2, the laws were not overturned in many states until decades later. Virginia, for example, did not overturn its sterilization law until 1974.

Exhibits like this one, seen at an exposition in Philadelphia in 1926, were popular. Based in New Haven, Conn., the American Eugenics Society attracted the support of nearly every major American eugenicist.

Final Solution

To quote author Edwin Black again, he says eugenics was the racist pseudoscience determined to wipe away all human beings deemed ‘unfit,’ preserving only those who conformed to a Nordic stereotype. “Elements of the philosophy were enshrined as national policy by forced sterilization and segregation laws, as well as marriage restrictions, enacted in 27 states (of America)…The grand plan was to literally wipe away the reproductive capability of those deemed weak and inferior.”

Apparently, gas chambers were suggested, on the record, as the final solution for dealing with the unfit!

Do the words gas chambers and final solution sound familiar?

Links between American and Nazi eugenics

Although eugenics flourished in Nazi Germany, the ideal of a blond-haired, blue-eyed master race wasn’t Adolf Hitler’s. It may surprise many to know that, in Mein Kampf, Hitler credited America with helping formulate his ideas on eugenics, and he admitted he’d studied the laws of US states to familiarize himself with selective reproduction and other eugenics issues.

Our research indicates it’s no exaggeration to say American eugenics policies inspired eugenics programs in Nazi Germany.

If that’s not disturbing enough, during the early days of the Third Reich, American eugenicists publicly praised Hitler’s plans to introduce and enforce sterilization (of unsuitable people) and other such eugenics policies!

File:Ebensee concentration camp prisoners 1945.jpg Hitler’s “Final Solution” eugenics policy part-funded by America!

Funding also flowed from the US to Nazi Germany for eugenics programs. For example, The Rockefeller Foundation financed numerous German eugenics experiments, including one that Josef Mengele worked on before he carried out his notorious human experimentations in Auschwitz.

The website for Crichton University provides a succinct summary of the history of eugenics in the US and the links between American eugenics and Nazi Germany. It points out that, “Eugenicists across America welcomed Hitler’s plans as the logical implementation of their own research” and “10 years after Virginia passed its 1924 Sterilization Act…the Superintendent of Virginia’s Western State Hospital complained…the Germans are beating us at our own game.”

America’s influence on the Nazi government was also confirmed by senior eugenics leader C. M. Goethe who, after visiting Germany in 1934, wrote the following to a fellow eugenicist: “You will be interested to know that your work has played a powerful part in shaping the opinions of the group of intellectuals who are behind Hitler in this epoch-making program. Everywhere I sensed that their opinions have been tremendously stimulated by American thought…I want you, my dear friend, to carry this thought with you for the rest of your life, that you have really jolted into action a great government of 60 million people.”

Crash Course in Jewish History Part 61: The Final Solution

Of course Hitler took eugenics to a whole new level in a way probably no American envisaged. He hijacked the term Final Solution and decided genocide was the best method of permanently eradicating his long list of ‘undesirables’ from the European gene pool.

It’s not known whether this America-Germany eugenics connection went full circle when Nazi scientists were brought into the US post-WW2 during the CIA’s Project Paperclip operation.

Benefiting from the efforts of some of Omega’s elite operatives, Doctor Pedemont had unlawfully obtained hundreds of samples from the Genius Sperm Bank. Then, taking the best ofthe sperm donations, he’d artificially inseminated the very women who were now in the process of giving birth. This meant each child that was about to be born effectively had one mother and numerous fathers. The Orphan Factory

Eugenics conspiracies

Since its beginnings, opponents of Eugenics have linked it to racial hatred. And rightly so, most would argue.

In America alone, eugenics often targeted minority ethnicities.

For example, Nobel-prize winning electronics pioneer, eugenics advocate and notorious racist, Dr. William Shockley (1910-1989), once proposed to pay black persons with IQ’s lower than 100 a cash incentive of $1000 to have themselves sterilized. There was no mention of sterilizing white persons with IQ’s lower than 100, of course.

However that is tame compared to the dark rumors swirling around modern eugenics. These rumors say the practice is not in decline but actually being used to eradicate genetic degenerates by the millions.

Such ideas stem from conspiracy theories floating around which suggest certain viruses – like SARS, Ebola and Swine Flu – were created by pharmaceutical technicians in labs.

Some conspiracy theorists even claim HIV/AIDS is a man-made disease rather than a freak of nature. These theories suggest HIV was originally eithera biological warfare virus that escaped from a laboratory by accident, or was released on purpose, as a tool for population control and eugenics implementation. The culprits are said to be shadowy, elitist organizations with New World Order ambitions.

Extreme accusations indeed, but perhaps not without some form of precedence.

From 1932 until 1972, the US Public Health Service deceptively conducted a clinical study known as the Tuskegee syphilis experiment. The notorious study was designed to monitor the progression of syphilis in African-American men who were led to believe they were receiving free treatment from the Government for the sexually transmitted disease. The infamous 40-year experiment involved medical professionals surreptitiously refusing treatment to black patients infected with syphilis.

Revelations by whistleblowers of the Tuskegee syphilis experiment led to US law changes concerning patient protection and informed consent for medical studies.

Several prominent African-American celebrities have made comments in public about the Tuskegee experiments, including comedian and film star Dave Chappelle whose grandfather was a Tuskegee survivor who was permanently blinded as a result of the experimentation. Shortly after the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans, leading film director Spike Lee mentioned the Tuskegee experiment on an episode of the TV series Real Time with Bill Maher. Lee alluded to a racial conspiracy in the Katrina aftermath by comparing the Government’s apparent lack of response to African-American communities with the ill treatment of patients in the syphilis experiment.

Various groups, including the Nation of Islam and the Black Panthers, believe the CIA purposefully infected African-Americans with HIV. Reminiscent of Tuskegee, this is said to have been carried out under the guise of hepatitis vaccinations. Those who subscribe to this theory have suggested HIV was spread by some pro-eugenics splinter group to decimate the black race, both in the US and in Africa.

The concept of AIDS being a sinister experiment seems to be reasonably accepted in the African-American community at least. In 2005, The Washington Post did a survey on the subject, questioning 500 African-Americans. The newspaper reported over 50% of those surveyed believed HIV was man-made and over 25% believed it was created in a US Government laboratory.

In Nigeria, there have been theories amongst locals that the World Health Organization (WHO) was spreading HIV via polio vaccines. As a result, there has been a decrease in the amount of Nigerians vaccinated against polio in recent years as many parents choose to keep their children away from WHO needles.

In 1986, American Physician Doctor Robert Strecker stated that HIV was not only a man-made bio-weapon created by the US military, but that it was disseminated by the WHO in Africa in the 1970’s by inserting the killer virus into smallpox vaccines. Strecker’s theory went on to suggest the distribution of HIV did not stop with Africa, but continued in the US. According to the doctor, the outbreak of AIDS in America was caused by government-sponsored hepatitis B vaccine experiments in San Francisco, New York City and Los Angeles in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. The vaccines were said to be contaminated with HIV and were apparently only given to gay men and African-American men.

                                                                                                                               Dr. Robert Strecker.

Although TIME magazine and most other mainstream media outlets condemned Strecker’s theory, it has since been supported by several prominent doctors and scientists. One of the supporters included Doctor Alan Cantwell who authored the 1988 book AIDS and the Doctors of Death: An Inquiry into the Origin of the AIDS Epidemic.

South Africa’s former president, Thabo Mbeki, has claimed HIV/AIDS is a grand conspiracy involving the CIA and Big Pharma.

But probably the most famous supporter of the theory that AIDS is some kind of Unit 731-style biological weapon is the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize laureate and environmental and political activist Wangari Maathai (1940-2011).

The Kenyan was quoted by Nairobi-based newspaper The Standard in 2004 as saying AIDS was “deliberately created by Western scientists to decimate the African population”. This lead to a flurry of world headlines including this one by Radio Free Europe Radio Liberty on December 10, 2004, ‘Africa’s First Female Nobel Peace Laureate Accepts Award Amid Controversy Over AIDS Remarks’ and this one on the same day in The New York Times, ‘Nobel Laureate Seeks to Explain AIDS Remarks’.

Maathai was also reported in a December, 2004 edition of TIME magazine as saying, “I do know things like that don’t come from the moon. I have always thought that it is important to tell people the truth, but I guess there is some truth that must not be too exposed … I’m referring to AIDS. I am sure people know where it came from. And I’m quite sure it did not come from the monkeys”.

As UNICEF has called AIDS “the worst catastrophe ever to hit the world” the idea that certain governments or agencies created the virus to attack minority groups is hard to even consider, let alone believe. Personally, we feel this theory is veering into the sort of crackpot conspiracy ideas promoted by the Tinfoil Hat Network. Then again, as Spike Lee was alluding to in his TV interview, history is riddled with malicious, eugenics-style medical experiments like Tuskegee, so you never know.

Here’s hoping this HIV/AIDS conspiracy theory ain’t true!

North Korean eugenics

As far as governments go in the modern world, North Korea is known to practice eugenics. The neo-Stalanist regime is committed to protecting racial purity and sees eugenics as the way to breed a stronger population and eradicate degenerates who carry supposedlyweak genes.

An October 21, 2006 article in UK newspaper The Telegraph reported the UN had uncovered “subhuman gulags” in North Korea where the disabled and mentally ill were locked up.

The rogue state operates a “rigorous system of eugenics” according to the article, for those “deemed subnormal, ranging from the disabled to dwarves.”

The Telegraph also reported the gulags were designed so that “those who do not conform to the state’s designation of normal do not pass on their genes by having children.”

Satellite images show gulags still operational in North Korea

An April 2014 satellite image of a gulag in North Korea.

Apparently, in North Korea those deemed abnormal are locked up for life. Marriages are allowed at segregation camps, but reproducing is not. There have also been reports of turning these ‘abnormals’ into laboratory guinea pigs for testing chemicals and germ agents.

#

In the Western World, the disturbing trend toward designer babies, the unofficial use of euthanasia by some medical professionals and the treatment of elderly people in some rest homes are just a few examples of present-day eugenics in operation – albeit tame examples compared to the genocide and forced relocation of many thousands of people occurring in some Third World countries.

American Christopher Langan, who claims to have an IQ between 195 and 210 and is also known as the world’s smartest man, has often been reported as being a eugenics supporter. The RationalWiki website describes a YouTube video in which “Langan talks about how he wishes he could implement a benign form of eugenics involving mandatory birth control and health screenings, and how breeding as much as we like isn’t necessarily a free right, and that people have to be trained to not abuse their freedoms, especially at the expense of future generations.”

Hopefully the 1997 sci-fi film Gattaca does not prove to be an accurate prophecy for eugenics implementations to come. Written and directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, the film presents a future society where nearly all children are conceived by genetic engineering technologies to ensure they do not inherit bad genes from their parents. Any persons born outside this society’s eugenics program are labeled faith births, degenerates or invalids, and are heavily discriminated against.

Primary image for Gattaca

And then there’s the whole issue of human cloning. We considered that too out there, and too far beyond our level of knowledge or understanding, to include in this book. However, we must at least acknowledge human cloning as it is a major theme of The Orphan Trilogy – in particular book three in the series which reveals the powerful Omega Agency’s cloning plans have come to fruition, allowing the organization to conduct medical experimentation on live humans.

Given the well-documented history of eugenics, and the persistence of its known adherents into the 21st Century, it is possible the controversial science continues underground. The secret use of eugenics could include classified experiments similar to the programs described and shown in The Orphan Trilogy and Gattaca where humans are genetically engineered for perfection.

Then again, maybe (hopefully) we’ve been writing conspiracy thriller novels so long our fears regarding eugenics are closer to the fiction we write than reality! If our concerns have no basis then it’s quite possible our critics are right and we really do see conspiracies everywhere in the real world.

Above the President

Obama

The President of the United States is regularly referred to as the most powerful person on Earth. This holds true for the current president, Barack Obama, as it has for all other American presidents in recent decades.

Certainly, the US is the world’s biggest economy and has the largest military force. It’s arguably the last legitimate superpower left – not forgetting that China has all the hallmarks of a future superpower – and the US President, as commander-in-chief of America’s armed forces, is in charge of the world’s biggest nuclear arsenal as well.

So, surely if anybody would qualify as the most powerful person on the planet, then it would be the President.

Right?

Um…well…maybe wrong, actually.

What the hell are you guys talking about? we hear you ask. Obviously the President is the most powerful person in the world! For pete’s sake, you guys better retire now if you can’t see that!

We hear you, we hear you. But just hold on a moment.

Appearances would certainly suggest he’s the most powerful person – especially when America’s dominant military, political and economic position is taken into account. But appearances can be deceiving.

It’s important to remember the US President isn’t only accountable to himself: he is, first and foremost, accountable to others – and we’re not just referring to the American people.

Many a political conspiracy theory has at its cornerstone the idea that whoever the US President is at any given time is merely a pawn. An employee, if you will, representing the real power players who lurk in the shadows but rule with absolute authority.

This theory requires us to believe the President has secret allegiances with invisible people – invisible to anyone below the Presidency that is – who micromanage him.

If true, the President’s decision-making power would be farcical; he’d simply be the person who presses the button – not the one making the decision to drop the bomb or send in the drones or bring home the troops.

Too big a stretch, you say?

Maybe, but stick with us…

Contrary to the media circus which portrayed politicians as all-powerful figures, Kentbridge knew from experience the vast majority of US Government officials elected or otherwise were puppets who only had the illusion of power. This included Presidents. These public figures all understood the game and were happy to go through the motions, carrying out orders that came from above from the likes of the Omega Agency so they could fulfill their own egotistical ambitions. The Ninth Orphan

Consider the “vast right-wing conspiracy” First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton mentioned in 1998 in relation to the sex scandal involving her husband President Bill Clinton and White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Mrs Clinton’s choice of words seem odd if you stop to consider she was talking about the world’s supposedly most powerful man at that time.

TIME Magazine Cover: Monica Lewinsky & Bill Clinton -- Feb. 2, 1998

Surely such a man would be immune to attacks from minnows of the right wing Republican opposition. Or did Mrs Clinton’s seemingly innocent comment allude to something, or someone, other than Republicans? Could she have been referring to shadowy figures in some invisible government who wanted to bring her husband down, or at least curtail some of his wayward policies?

Could her use of the word conspiracy in her statement have been a cryptic clue?

Bozos in the White House

George W. Bush is probably the US President whose intelligence has been most questioned. Certainly he’s up there with Presidents Ford and Reagan. His frequent gaffes, or Bushisms, and his apparent inability at times to clearly answer even the simplest of questions raised alarm bells in the minds of many Americans.

George W’s Bushisms include publicly congratulating ostracized FEMA director Michael Brown for his handling of the Hurricane Katrina emergency in 2005 despite the fact that Brown had received extreme nationwide criticism over his handling of the disaster; a year earlier, while talking about the War on Terror, Bush said America’s enemies “never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” And in a speech in 2002, he famously remarked, “There’s an old saying in Tennessee…I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee…that says, fool me once, shame on…shame on you…Fool me…you can’t get fooled again!”

Bushisms (2004) Poster

In case you’re interested, there are hundreds of Bushism compilation videos, or Greatest Hits, that can be viewed on YouTube.

Rightly or wrongly, the moniker Dubbya forever became synonymous with stupidity and ignorance.

Was this man really bright enough to run the United States of America? Was he capable of making the myriad of complex decisions required of presidents every day?

It was true Isabelle was the daughter of a politician and therefore must have had an inkling of how Western alpha male-style governments functioned, but the world he operated in was beyond governments. Nine was one of the few who knew the truth. He understood world leaders were simply opportunists placed in so-called positions of power to carry out the agendas of the real power-players who always remained behind the scenes. The Ninth Orphan

During Ronald Reagan’s presidency it was rumored he slept more than he worked, especially during his second term. As a former actor, perhaps Reagan understood better than most his White House role was less about making decisions and more about delivering lines and following scripts the powers-that-be wrote.

If even half the tales surrounding lazy or inept presidents are true then that may provide some insight into whether the US President is the most powerful person on Earth or, indeed, if he has any real power at all.

TV frontman John Stewart’s expression leaves little doubt what he thinks of the last eight presidents.

It has always intrigued us that no President ever asked Congress – on the record at least – to establish exactly who manages America’s money supply? And why are the suspicious activities rumored to be swirling around the Federal Reserve never – officially at least – investigated? Could it be that Presidents promise to support global banksters before running for office?

When there is such a long and detailed history of false flag operations, why has no recent President seriously questioned the validity of intelligence reports claiming the existence of WMD’s or the incidence of terrorist attacks in certain countries? Could it be these Presidents are also in the pocket of the Military Industrial Complex, that powerful combination of America’s armed forces, legislators, political factions, defence contractors and money men?

military-industrial-complex.jpgThe farewell speech of Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the US and the only Army General ever to be elected President, is perhaps telling in this regard.

In his speech, which was delivered in a television broadcast on January 17, 1961, Eisenhower warned America against the ever-increasing political influence of the Military Industrial Complex.

“We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex,” said Eisenhower. “The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.”

President Eisenhower also pointed out that the nation annually spent on “military security alone more than the net income of all United States corporations” – a fact which possibly holds true to this day, depending on definitions of where military security starts and ends.

Eisenhower’s speech could be construed as suggesting his Presidential powers were diluted because of the influence of the Military Industrial Complex and/or other such entities. His warning that Americans must guard against the complex’s “acquisition of unwarranted influence” certainly suggests that.

Kentbridge was certain all of the US presidents since JFK had been puppets. The lack of any real decision-making power presidents had was reflected in a long-running joke within the agency: One could place a monkey in the White House Oval Office and everything would run just fine. The Orphan Factory

The Invisible Government

Government, as we all know, is the system by which people, states or countries are governed.

Here’s an alternative definition that’s popular with conspiracy theorists: Government is a system certain nefarious people and organizations can hide behind and achieve even more than they could if legitimately elected to office. These immoral parties include unelected officials and secret societies who are collectively known in some circles as the Invisible Government.

Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. - Theodore Roosevelt

It’s quite possible there’s an Invisible Government operating in America today with some unknown entity pulling the strings of elected politicians and officials – in which case the Government that’s portrayed in the media is just a front for some shadowy group.

If it’s conceivable the Invisible Government is controlling, or at least has influence over, the banking system, the media and radical science, then why couldn’t it have influence over the President, too?

There are also theories that there are 40 levels in US intelligence above top secret, of which the President only has clearance to about Level 20. No such theories have ever been proven, however.

We realize there are a lot of what ifs in our analysis, but it’s important to remember we are dealing with 50 shades of subtlety when it comes to trying to ascertain how the world really operates. Those shadowy groups, secret societies and faceless people pulling strings in the financial, military, scientific, medical, industrial and political sectors don’t take out front page newspaper ads to advertise their agendas or their modus operandi.

So it’s up to us, average Jo Citizen, to read between the lines, think outside the square and question everything we’re told.

If you think we’re scaremongering, cast your eye over the quotations scattered throughout this chapter and, indeed, throughout this book – from JFK in particular – warning of secret societies and the like.

“There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself.” –Daniel K. Inouye, US Senator from Hawaii. Testimony given to the Senate Select Committee on Secret Military Assistance to Iran and the Nicaraguan Opposition (Iran-Contra hearings) in 1987.

The usual (and unusual) suspects

If it’s not the President and the official Government then who is really running the United States of America?

As the old saying goes, follow the money trail. That would surely make our aforementioned friends, the good ol’ global banksters, prime suspects.

banksters 5

At the very least, bankers and financial services suppliers would have to be part of the Invisible Government, if indeed it does exist. They could be compared to the outer layer of an onion: peel back a layer or two and you’d likely find covert organizations running the banks.

And if that theory holds true, secret societies like the Freemasons and Skull and Bones would probably be to the fore.

Other major players in an Invisible Government could comprise the global elite groups mentioned in previous chapters, including the Bilderberg Group and the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

Now let’s introduce another little known group into the equation…

The Bohemian Club

Bohemian Groveis a 2700-acre campground in Monte Rio, California, owned by an obscure Californian men’s art club called the Bohemian Club, which can trace its foundation back to 1872.

According to Wikipedia, “In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts a two-week, three-weekend encampment of some of the most powerful men in the world.”

Past and present members of this bizarre, invitation-only club, where grown men act like boys in the woods and conduct pagan rituals, include Richard Nixon, George H. W. Bush, Ronald Reagan and apparently every other Republican President since Calvin Coolidge. Other Bohemian members include or included Jack London, Henry Kissinger, Walter Cronkite, David Rockefeller Sr., Donald Rumsfeld and Henry Ford.

Observers say the Bohemian Club is like the Bilderberg Group and the CFR in that it undermines democracy by holding closed meetings.

In a Los Angeles Times article dated May 26, 1987, it was reported that Richard Nixon once sent his fellow Bohemian Grove members a statement saying, “Anyone can aspire to be President of the United States, but few have any hope of becoming president of the Bohemian Club”.

Nixon’s also on record as commenting several times that attending Bohemian Grove was crucial to becoming the US President. For example, in his 1978 book, Memoirs, he says, “in many important ways it marked the first milestone on my road to the presidency”.

Bohemian Grove Members

The Bohemian Club…where grown men act like boys.

If elitist groups like Bohemian Club, the CFR and the Bilderberg Group select and groom candidates to become Presidents of the US then isn’t it safe to assume they also dictate certain policies once their alumni are in the White House?

“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings.” –President John F. Kennedy, speech to the American Newspaper Publishers Association. April 27, 1961, New York City.

Secret affiliations of US Presidents

From our research into the history of American politics, one detail kept rising to the surface time and again: All recent US Presidents pledged allegiance to at least one secret society or elitist organization before they ran for office.

Freemasonry and Skull and Bones are two of the most common secret societies, while the Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commission, the Bohemian Club and the CFR seem to be the main elitist organizations on any serious presidential candidate’s to-do list.

What follows are the secret affiliations of the previous eight Presidents before Obama. This list dates back over half a century to the 1963 assassination of JFK, but excludes President Kennedy himself who appeared to belong to no such societies, organizations or fraternities.

George W. Bush (Bohemian Club, Skull and Bones),Bill Clinton (Mason, Skull and Bones, Bilderberg, CFR, Trilateral Commission), George H. W. Bush (Mason, Skull and Bones, Bohemian Club, Trilateral Commission, CFR, Skull and Bones),Ronald Reagan (Bohemian Club, Mason), Jimmy Carter (Trilateral Commission, CFR), Gerald Ford (Mason, Bilderberg, Bohemian Club, CFR), Richard Nixon (Bohemian Club, CFR), Lyndon B. Johnson (Mason, CFR).

What this amounts to is that recent US Presidents have all been owned in one way or another before they even set foot in the White House Oval Office to serve their terms.

The one potential omission in this disturbing trend is Barry Soetoro – more commonly known as Barack Obama. We refer of course to the name Obama sometimes used in Indonesia where he spent part of his childhood. Soetoro was his stepfather’s surname and Barry was the nickname he used throughout college.

However, to get back to the point, it may well be President Obama is ultra-secretive about his membership of elitist organizations and secret societies.

Sourcing accurate information on Obama’s background is tricky. There’s a huge amount of so-called evidence online, painting Obama as a fraud. But if you take the time to research the individuals making such claims you will quickly establish they are often racially motivated.

Given that racism still exists in the 21st Century, the amount of fabricated evidence on America’s first black President is hardly surprising. Even so, there have been intriguing reports that point to the possibility of Obama being a member of various elitist, non-governmental groups.

For example, on March 5, 2007, conspiracy website Above Top Secret included statements from an anonymous Freemason who claimed to have befriended Obama years earlier at a Masonic lodge in Illinois. However, the lodge in question could find no record of Obama ever having attended.

Shortly before Obama was elected to the presidency, the June 2, 2008 issue of Newsweek included a photograph with an article that appeared to show a Masonic ring on the future president’s finger. The image sent the Tinfoil Hat Network into a frenzy. However, there’s no conclusive proof that the finger is Obama’s.

The Masonic ring allegedly on the finger of Obama.

And as mentioned in Chapter 3, there have been persistent rumors the Hawaii-born Obama has also attended at least one Bilderberg meeting – namely the conference at Chantilly, Virginia, in 2008, which also took place shortly before he became the US President.

So it remains inconclusive as to whether Obama is a tool or not. Either he’s squeaky clean as his administration presents him to be, or he has covered his tracks so well that his membership of secret or elitist organizations cannot be proven conclusively.

Given the consistently nefarious behavior of the world’s elite, we certainly know which way we’d be placing our bets regarding Obama. We just cannot believe that any average, honest, law-abiding American citizen can get anywhere near the presidency without shaking hands with corrupt powerbrokers, signing deals with banksters and generally bending over backwards for the global elite.

Certainly there were obvious differences in policies between the various leaders, and an America run by a Bush, an Obama or a Clinton would have distinct contrasts. Those variables didn’t concern the secret elite rulers, however. As long as the Omega Agency and other clandestine groups ensured each administration sold out on the most lucrative issues – oil, banking, drug trafficking, arms sales – they couldn’t care less whether a political party poured a few more measly bucks into healthcare or schools. The Ninth Orphan

A DIY guide to buying American Presidents

For the sake of exploring this theory of owning Presidents and Administrations, let’s create our own secret society right here and now, and let’s call this covert, invitation-only organization Pegasus.

Pegasus members are a group of elite families whose combined wealth is worth trillions of dollars. Yet they feature on no rich lists for their wealth is created and expanded by high finance deals that are beyond governments and tax systems, and involve clandestine transfers in the murky world of offshore banking.

This consortium’s members, who now make up the Invisible Government, have infiltrated every aspect of the current Administration by conducting a silent coup d’etat that went unreported.

Pegasus can afford to buy candidates upfront before they run for office. They also gain coercive influence over the key figures in all the major parties.

Pegasus can’t lose if they back all the major political parties. Although it seems the Left side of the political spectrum is the antithesis of the Right, they understand there really is no Left or Right, or even any political parties. There is only Pegasus.

So while it appears as if voters have a choice, the reality is they don’t – at least not a choice that matters a whole lot.

Although political parties often seemed poles apart, in reality they all bowed to this higher order of power. Kentbridge had long since understood Democrats and Republicans were essentially the same party with different faces and that was why, no matter how many promises each leader made, significant change rarely transpired. The Ninth Orphan

The political apathy of today’s youth

Young people today seem to be coming round to the idea it really doesn’t matter which politician or political party you vote for; and they’re catching on that it doesn’t even matter if you don’t vote because they have realized modern elections are just a way for the 1% to appease the 99% – a way to keep the masses in line by making them believe they’ve had their say, thereby perpetuating the lie that democracy continues.

More and more young people have twigged that modern politics is all a big game. Perhaps this is because they’re more likely to source their information from the Internet, social media, alternative media and citizen journalists. They sense that leaders in power – be they presidents or prime ministers – are simply caretakers who serve a term or two before the next caretaker steps in to carry on with the charade.

The question is, are today’s youth enlightened people or cynics who don’t respect the democracy their forefathers fought for?

Perhaps authors Dan Cassino and Yasemin Besen-Cassino answer that question in a roundabout way in their 2009 book Consuming Politics: Jon Stewart, Branding, and the Youth Vote in America. They say, “The political apathy of today’s youth can be seen largely as a result of this disengagement from the parties”.

The Cassino’s continue, “Different groups within the general category of young people are looking for different things within the political world, and won’t become engaged in politics until they see those things”.

Politicians would be well advised not to hold their breath for youth to engage in politics any time soon. Today’s youth are the first generation to have realized for real change to occur, it must happen on an individual level rather than at an administrative level.

As Hollywood star Mark Ruffalo told Luke Rudkowski, a young American social activist and founder of grassroots media organization We Are Change, in a 2011 interview, “It’s not going to happen from above. We are the change that we’re waiting for”.

Mark Ruffalo's primary photo

Actor Mark Ruffalo

Ruffalo continued, “Anything worth a damn that’s ever happened on behalf of the people has always come up from the people and forced itself onto the power above. And that’s the way it always is and that’s the way it’s always going to be”.

Hear, hear, Mr. Ruffalo.

“Let’s pick up from yesterday’s teachings on the Gulf War,” Kentbridge began. He wrote Iraq 1990-1991 on a blackboard. “Now that the West has control of Iraq’s massive oil reserves, President Bush will be replaced.” The chalk squeaked as he wrote Bill Clinton on the board. “Bill Clinton will be our country’s next President. The election later this year is just a formality. The result has already been decided.”The Orphan Factory

Since winning the US Presidency, Barack Obama has been criticized for breaking almost every promise he made to the American people before running for office. And although he promised the opposite, his policies turned out to be almost a carbon copy of those of his predecessor George W. Bush – at least in terms of the big issues such as fighting unnecessary wars and protecting banksters ahead of everyday citizens.

Obama’s supporters insist his intentions were honest. Maybe they were and maybe he really believed he’d be the boss instead being a small cog in a giant wheel.

Then again before being elected Obama had little track record in Congress of voting against the major issues like Big Pharma or banking chicanery. As political activist Ralph Nader pointed out when he ran against him in the 2008 Presidential campaign, the man formerly known as Barry Soetoro was hardly a revolutionary.

So maybe Obama knew all along he’d just be another puppet for the Establishment and was happy to play along.

Or maybe the likes of JFK was speaking through a hole in his head when he warned Americans about “secret societies, secret oaths and secret proceedings,” and maybe the likes of Eisenhower was speaking through a hole in his when he warned of “the potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power.”

It’s likely none of us will ever know for sure.

The price of a free media

There’s no escaping the media. Whether radio, television, newspapers, magazines, billboards, feature films, documentaries, online news or social media – it’s everywhere.

If media in all its forms is compromised then frankly, we’re all screwed!

One of us (Lance) writes from personal experience on this subject: as a former journalist, newspaper editor and public relations consultant with experience in television, radio, print and online reporting, he has observed the workings of the media from the inside over the past 45 years.

You don’t need to be a former journalist however, to realize that manipulating the media is akin to poisoning a nation’s water supply – it affects all of our lives in unimaginable ways.

Journalists are the barometer of a nation’s freedom of speech. If they are threatened, gagged or otherwise silenced then who is going to ask the tough questions and keep the authorities honest?

“No President should fear public scrutiny of his program. For from that scrutiny comes understanding; and from that understanding comes support or opposition. And both are necessary. I am not asking your newspapers to support the Administration, but I am asking your help in the tremendous task of informing and alerting the American people. For I have complete confidence in the response and dedication of our citizens whenever they are fully informed. I not only could not stifle controversy among your readers–I welcome it. This Administration intends to be candid about its errors; for as a wise man once said: “An error does not become a mistake until you refuse to correct it.” We intend to accept full responsibility for our errors; and we expect you to point them out when we miss them.” –President John F. Kennedy, speech to the American Newspaper Publishers Association. April 27, 1961, New York City.

President Kennedy welcomed media scrutiny of his Administration.

In our thriller The Orphan Factory, the novel’s lead female character Helen Katsarakis is a student journalist in Chicago. When she learns the shocking truth of the Pedemont Orphanage and starts to write about it, her life is suddenly endangered. Without giving away any spoilers, let’s just say the powers that be swing into action to prevent her story ever reaching the masses.

Helen’s character was partly a plot device designed to ask tough questions about the modern media. In particular, questioning the commonly held belief that here in the West we have a free press.

So, what’s the truth? Do we really have a free press or are our journalists, or journos, being dictated to and told what they can and can’t report on? Are certain topics suppressed from the public’s consciousness by those who own or greatly influence the media? Are there any free-thinking, free-speaking journos left – alive and not retired that is?

What made it worse was Helen wasn’t just any old journalist. She was a student reporter unconnected to any of the mainstream media outlets – outlets Omega could usually control as a result of the moles the agency had planted in their midst. No, Helen and her university newspaper could not be bought or controlled. She was a free agent, able to investigate whatever took her fancy, and The Daily Illini newspaper was free to publish whatever it wanted to. The Orphan Factory

Taking on the Establishment

Few journos ever seriously challenge the Establishment. Why? Because it’s usually not in the best interests of their employers – the select few media barons who run mainstream media these days. (More about them later).

The upshot of this is, while their turn of phrase may be eloquent, most journos just report on issues their masters are happy to allow to be aired publicly. This makes them little more than parrots for the Establishment. Unfortunately, few realize that.

The tragedy of this is major issues remain hidden and the public are continually being denied access to the truth.

Any journo who takes on the Establishment and interrogates officialdom about questionable policies – such as committing troops to new theaters of war – is quickly brought to heel. If the journo persists, he or she risks being branded a traitor, or unpatriotic at least.

In June 2013, former Minnesota Governor, Navy Seal and professional wrestler-turned political activist Jesse Ventura told The New York Times, “You’re not unpatriotic for criticizing your government.” Elaborating, Ventura said, “I know from experience, the only way you get good government is for the citizens to hold its feet to the fire.”

Of course, holding an administration’s feet to the fire relies on total freedom of speech, and a truly free media is a major part of that.

We know from personal experience it takes balls to ask the hard questions. Questions such as why Western nations are embroiled in perpetual wars and spending gazillions on military budgets when so many of their citizens are living hand to mouth on or below the poverty line.

What’s needed is uncompromising, in-depth, insightful reporting where journos don’t shy away from applying the metaphorical blowtorch to world leaders, politicians and business moguls. This would be in stark contrast to the staged interviews we are more commonly shown where handpicked journos rarely deviate from script.

True journalism is about uncovering and reporting on the truth. Nothing more, nothing less. In today’s fast-moving world, where corruption, violence and grief are never far away, it’s difficult to think of a more important job.

News reporting or storytelling?

Traditional journalism, where reporters deliver information in a balanced and unbiased fashion, is rapidly fading into obscurity. This is especially evident on television where high profile reporters become bigger than the story, delivering news with large dollops of personality and wit – almost as if they are actors. And is it our imagination or are TV reporters becoming younger and more glamorous every year?

To our eyes, on major world issues at least, it seems very little factual-based news reporting occurs these days. Instead, it’s nearly all opinion-based and colored to some degree.

Unfortunately, mainstream news has become infotainment, sharing more in common with the entertainment industry than with traditional journalism. Gossip, characterizations and injections of drama are subtly infused with facts, altering the truth in a similar way to how dramatists twist true stories to create greater excitement.

Another useful analogy here may be documentary movies. Although as filmmakers we only produce feature films, we know a lot of doco filmmakers and many tell us storytelling is just as prominent in reality-based productions as it is in dramatic ones. This makes sense because when a doco enters post-production after the filming period, the director has hundreds of hours of footage to sift through in the editing suite. The film then has to be edited down to around 90 minutes and there are often any number of stories a director can tell, depending on what is edited out, what is left in and what is highlighted.

In theory, documentary filmmakers are able to remain totally unbiased and allow the material to dictate the most relevant story to them. But only the very best are able to achieve this. All too often the filmmakers’ own beliefs end up convincing them to tell stories that don’t actually reflect the heart of the material.

Similarly, subjective storytelling is now almost as common in the news media as it is in feature films, TV dramas, novels or theater shows. Journalists at their worst are self-centered storytellers who either knowingly or unknowingly bend truths into stories that match their personal beliefs or those of their employers.

What is scarier however, is when entire media organizations craft fictional stories out of the truth to influence the masses on a grand scale.

The kingmakers

Media tycoons are among the most powerful and influential individuals on the planet as they and their minions shape society’s opinions. It’s no coincidence that a large percentage of the members of the Bilderberg Group, the Council on Foreign Relations and other such elitist organizations are media moguls. If it’s true that nothing is more potent than an idea, then those who control the media can direct minds en masse.

Australian-born tycoon Rupert Murdoch has built a media empire unlike any other in history. His far-reaching enterprises incorporate major newspapers, television networks, book publishers and film production companies throughout the UK, the US, Australia and Asia. It’s estimated that 40% of American television viewers are watching Murdoch-owned stations at any given time.

It has been reported in the mainstream media on several occasions that no Prime Minister of the UK or Australia takes office without consulting Murdoch first. Then again, if he controls the media wouldn’t Murdoch have censored such reports? In which case wouldn’t that make a mockery of this whole conspiracy theory? Ah well, you can’t win ‘em all!

There are parallels, albeit on a smaller scale, in Italy where former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi owns much of the Italian media. During his controversial term as PM, critics argued many of Berlusconi’s newspapers and TV channels promoted his far-right political ideologies.

Bottom line is: the media, like anything else, can be bought. Everything, it seems, has its price. Even the free press.

The trend toward media consolidation

Some commentators say the world’s six biggest media empires, between them, largely control what news we see, hear or read in the Western world. Others say the 10 biggest media empires control our news. Either way, the ramifications are frightening, wouldn’t you agree?

The respected news and entertainment site Elite Daily, which calls itself “The voice of Generation-Y”, makes the following claim: “With media oversight being taken for granted in recent years, media concentration has been a trend that’s been rolling along with few signs of stopping. As a result, many of your favorite media entities have been consolidated and all work under the same umbrella corporation. If you think, for example, one channel offers better content than the other, you might be surprised to learn that you’ve stuck with the same company and are just now loyal to another one of its assets.”

media-ownership

Elite Daily has identified the following as the world’s 10 largest media conglomerates: Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, Gannett Company Inc., CBS Corporation, British Sky Broadcasting Group Plc., Liberty Media, News Corporation, Viacom, Time Warner Inc., The Walt Disney Disney Company and Comcast Corporation.

In the early 1980’s, some 50 companies owned 90% of American media. Now, 90% of US media is owned by just six corporations: Disney, Viacom, GE, CBS, Time Warner and Rupert Murdoch’s NewsCorp.

Each of these conglomerates has fingers in many pies. Take Time Warner for example. It has major stakes in film and TV companies like New Line Cinema, CNN, TNT, Warner Bros. Pictures, HBO, Cinemax, Cartoon Network and Castle Rock plus magazines like People, Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and Marie Claire.

The problem with such media monopolies, especially when they are heavily entangled with politics as Murdoch’s outlets are, is that censorship or even disseminating misinformation becomes a very real possibility.

If you believe the TV networks, newspapers and other media outlets owned by such conglomerates are regularly delivering balanced, unbiased news, you’re dreaming. Each has its own agenda and recent history has shown those agendas aren’t always honorable. Regrettably, and all too often, journalistic ethics come a distant second to corporate profits.

You only need to consider the events surrounding Rupert Murdoch’s News of the World phone-hacking scandal to be reminded that media conglomerates and their owners don’t always act honorably or have the public’s best interests at heart.

For anyone who has been living under a rock since that controversy broke, Murdoch employees working in some of his British newspapers hacked the phones of leading politicians, businessmen and celebrities, resulting in a public outcry against News Corporation and Murdoch.

“There is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know.” –President John F. Kennedy, speech to the American Newspaper Publishers Association. April 27, 1961, New York City.

Censoring the truth

Censorship involves limiting free expression and controlling information. Most Westerners tend to associate the word censorship with art – especially film. However, in less democratic regions of the world, censorship is all pervasive with North Korea being one of the best, or worst, examples of this in recent years.

aaaa

Censorship is also alive and well in the West, although it is done in far more subtle ways. Sometimes it relates to that modern day ailment known as corportocracy, or the control of economic and political systems by corporate interests; sometimes it relates to government meddling where administrations or individual politicians derail what should be a free press.

Reporters Without Borders, a global freedom of press organization, recently announcedin its annual Worldwide Freedom Index that the US has one of the highest levels of media censorship in the Western world. From their research, conducted in 2013, they reported that journalists in the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand experience greater freedoms of speech than in the US.

The index reflects the level of freedom that news organizations, reporters and citizens enjoy in each country, and the efforts made by governing bodies to respect this freedom.

Given the US was founded on the greatest constitutional freedom of expression in history (the First Amendment) it’s sad to see it only managed 32nd place on the Worldwide Freedom Index – behind the likes of Ghana and Suriname.

“Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed–and no republic can survive. That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. And that is why our press was protected by the First Amendment – the only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution – not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and the sentimental, not to simply “give the public what it wants” – but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold, educate and sometimes even anger public opinion.” –President John F. Kennedy, speech to the American Newspaper Publishers Association. April 27, 1961, New York City.

Spin doctors

A conservatively estimated 90% of all news items aired in the media – whether in print, radio or television – on any given day are placed items. (Placed news items are articles contributed by individuals, companies and organizations outside the media). An estimated 75% of all news items are placed by spin doctors, or public relations consultants.

Journos and PR gurus will know what we’re talking about, but for outsiders we accept these stats are hard to get your head around.

Incidentally, many if not most spin doctors are former journos, so they know firsthand how the media works and they have well established journalistic networks to tap into. Very handy when it comes to placing stories.

What makes it difficult to accurately assess the amount of news that is placed or contributed, is that many such items appear under a journo’s byline. All too often the journo may only change one para, sentence or word – or nothing at all – before recycling the story for publication under his or her name. Sad but true.

In the case of news items sourced from PR firms, the reality is those firms are handsomely paid by their (usually) corporate clients to publicize the clients’ products and services. In some cases their non-corporate clients may be lobby groups, politicians, political parties, government departments, armed forces or other such entities each with their own barrow to push. All too often, the truth is secondary to the message. Also sad but true.

Mainstream media all too often serves as a public relations agency for the global elite, including politicians, bankers and Fortune 500 members. As a result, the so-called news has become a junkyard for propaganda. Such an environment is open slather for the spin doctors.

“News is what somebody somewhere wants to suppress; all the rest is advertising.” Lord Northcliffe, British publisher (1865-1922)

Media manipulation

All too often news stories deliver one viewpoint, or one dominant viewpoint, so the audience will likely draw one particular conclusion. This can be done so cleverly we are usually none the wiser – unless we’re on the lookout for such subterfuge.

Politicians and political parties are very aware of this, as are our military leaders. Media manipulation they call it – off the record of course. To sell their message to the public, they need to use the media to their advantage. Sometimes they go direct, oftentimes they use the spin doctors.

A classic example of this was how the US Administration used the media to convince the American public Iraq was hiding weapons of mass destruction before the troops were sent in. How wrong they were, but how effective their advance publicity was. It was swallowed hook, line and sinker by most Americans and, indeed, by much of the Western world. Certainly, Britain and others weren’t slow to send their troops in to Iraq either. And it’s worth noting this was initially a conspiracy theory, but now even mainstream media outlets commonly accept this was fabrication or at least exaggerated spin to start a war.

Clearly, the media can be used by political administrations as a propaganda tool.

The 1922 speech of former New York City Mayor John Hylan we quoted from in an earlier chapter is worth quoting from again: “These international bankers and Rockefeller-Standard Oil interests control the majority of the newspapers and magazines in this country. They use the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of office public officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government.”

Operation Mockingbird

From the 1950’s to 1970’s, the CIA covertly funded a number of leading domestic and foreign journalists from numerous major media outlets like The Washington Post, Time, The New York Times and CBS to publish CIA propaganda. This was known as Operation Mockingbird and was first brought to the public’s attention in 1975 by The Church Committee.

Senator Frank Church, after whom the committee was named, claimed that misinforming the world cost American taxpayers around US$265 million a year. Some of that cost was wages as many of the CIA’s journalist-spooks drew a CIA salary over and above their official media salary. Talk about serving two masters!

After the initial revelations, Congress admitted in 1976 that the CIA maintained a network of several hundred foreigners “who provide intelligence for the CIA and at times attempt to influence opinion through the use of covert propaganda.”

The CIA also admitted that these individuals provided the agency with direct access to many media outlets.

Although restraints have since been applied to the CIA’s media-related activities, to this daythe agency makes no secret it continues to welcome the voluntary cooperation of reporters.

cia controls media

The CIA’s involvement with media doesn’t end there. In 1977, Washington Post journo Carl Bernstein, of Watergate fame, reported that “more than 400 journalists…in the past 25 years have secretly carried out assignments” for the CIA.

Intelligence agencies’ approach to manipulating news media is probably best summed up by a comment a senior CIA employee made to Bernstein: “One journalist is worth twenty agents.”

Besides messing with news media outlets, the agency has also been known to dabble in other forms of media. For example, the 1954 animated film Animal Farm, based on George Orwell’s classic novel, was secretly funded by the CIA. In fact, three-fifths of the movie’s half a million dollar budget was financed by the agency via one of its shell corporations, Touchstone Inc.

On the film’s listing on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) site, the following is mentioned under the trivia section:“The CIA obtained the film rights to “Animal Farm” from Orwell’s widow, Sonia, after his death and covertly funded the production as anti-Communist propaganda. Some sources assert that the ending of the story was altered by the CIA (in the book, the pigs and humans join forces) to press home their message”.

“The speed of communications is wondrous to behold. It is also true that speed can multiply the distribution of information that we know to be untrue.” –Edward R. Murrow (1908-1965), American broadcast journalist

The power of the Internet

The Internet is expanding at a faster rate than most of we mere mortals can understand. Someone seriously compared its rate of growth to the speed of light, though we suspect he’s prone to exaggerating. Even so, its growth is impressive, that much we know.

Impressive, too, is the growth and power of online news and especially social media. Nowhere has this been better demonstrated than during the Arab Spring, the revolution that is sweeping the Arab world. Since 2010, Egyptians, Libyans and more recently Syrians have effectively used the Internet both to access foreign news during media blackouts and to get news and images to the outside world as dramatic events unfolded in their respective countries.

Just as the Internet offers society many advantages and disadvantages so, too, does online journalism. On the one hand, alternative thought-provoking news and ideas can be aired online whereas they’d never see the light of day in a metropolitan daily newspaper or other conventional media outlets.

online newsroom best practicesOn the other hand, there are fewer checks and balances online where anyone can write just about anything and get away with it.

This duality of online news is exemplified by the rise of freelance journalists using the Internet to their advantage. Citizen journos we call them.

Some of these citizen journos are qualified reporters who, for various reasons, have chosen to go it alone. Many may prefer the autonomy that comes with freelance writing, others may have become disillusioned with traditional mainstream reporting. Some are good, some are bad and some should probably be shot. The latter, who are usually inexperienced or wannabe journalists, often pretend to present unbiased news stories. In reality, they have radical agendas be they political, religious, racist or whatever. These agendas, incidentally, aren’t always apparent when you visit their blog sites.

It’s also important to remember that mainstream media are major players on the Internet. Almost all major newspapers, television and radio networks have online news portals to recycle their news to reach audiences far beyond their traditional catchment areas.

Despite the Internet’s faults, more and more people are viewing it as the only source for truthful information. Politicians and business moguls are aware of this and are actively lobbying to restrict or censor this medium so they can continue to manipulate, or better still control, public opinion.

Those same politicians and moguls are very mindful of initiatives like the Occupy Wall Street movement whose members are so heavily reliant on social media to spread their message. Young people are becoming more switched on, too. They’re increasingly favoring alternative websites and citizen journos over mainstream media when it comes to receiving news and information.

We are the 99 % poster

“We are the 99%.”…catchcry of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

#

So, what are we to believe when we search online or open that newspaper or switch on that radio or TV set for our daily dose of news?

Unfortunately there’s no easy answer. As we keep saying, retain a healthy skepticism and don’t believe everything you’re told. The truth is out there…somewhere!

The Fourth Reich

Operation-Paperclip-The-CIA-And-the-Nazis3

History reminds us that communism was already a dominant political force even before the echoes of World War Two had faded. After the war, as the Soviet Union began to encroach on more and more nations, communism and the threat of nuclear war were the West’s two big fears.

However, there is a lesser known school of thought that says fascism actually posed an even bigger threat post-WW2.

On the surface, this theory doesn’t make much sense for officially speaking fascism was all but expunged from the Earth when the Allies demolished the Nazi war machine. From then on, the only fascist remnants appeared to be obscure far-right political parties as well as the odd white supremacist or anti-Semitic group.

But that’s just on the surface and what the history books tell us.

Alternative versions that lie beneath commonly accepted 20th Century history claim many Western nations – the US in particular – only missed out on becoming fascist states by a whisker. Such ideas pose the almost unthinkable question: what if Nazism morphed into something else and continued underground, in another guise, in the West?

“The fascists. They took over this country straight after World War Two. Kennedy was the last president who knew anything about this. All those who followed him have been kept in the dark.”The Orphan Factory

Fascist ideologies, practices and technologies didn’t vanish with the death of Hitler and Nazi Germany, this radical conspiracy theory suggests. Instead, they actually grew in popularity with fascist supporters springing up in senior positions of power in various Western governments. However, this theory asserts that fascism became harder to detect because of its more subtle implementation, which perhaps indicates this new breed of fascists learnt from the failures of the Third Reich.

Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?

We thought so too…until we came across a little known US Government program whose declassified files reveal damning evidence of co-operation between Nazi party survivors and the highest ranking American politicians.

Project Paperclip

As stated in chapter 2, America’s mind control programs stemmed from the US Government’s Project Paperclip, but it wasn’t just Nazi brainwashing techniques the Americans inherited. They also seized Nazi scientists whose number included known war criminals.

The top secret project, also known as Operation Paperclip, was a nefarious undertaking that allowed Nazi scientists to migrate to the US without prosecution. Some had studied brainwashing and other mind control methods first-hand in the concentration camps; many were rocket scientists who had been directly involved in the development of Germany’s feared V-1 and V-2 rockets. The latter’s contribution would pave the way for NASA and the Moon landings, and also for America’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program.

Project Paperclip was as much about denying German scientific expertise to the Soviet Union and Britain as it was benefiting US science, defence and space programs. This was happening as the Cold War loomed don’t forget and an uncertain world was being carved up by superpowers. It was a three-way grab (for the spoils) between the Americans, the Soviets and the Brits.

Remember, Nazi Germany’s scientific breakthroughs were nothing short of revolutionary. Although it didn’t last long, the Nazi era was arguably the most accelerated scientific period in history, especially when suppressed or little known Nazi inventions are taken into account. History reminds us how easily the Third Reich dominated Europe despite being greatly outnumbered by the combined Allied forces. The Germans ruled the land, sea and air, and it was obvious to all they had superior technologies.

Image

The Germans’ V2 rocket (above) and the horror it brought to the Brits in WW2 (below).

The Allies learned the hard way that Nazi engineers and scientists had made incredible breakthroughs in various fields. These included semi-conductors, plasma physics, ballistic missiles, laser technologies, electromagnetic weapons, computers, astrophysics, infrared night vision and miniature electronics to name but a few. While some of these breakthroughs were commonly known, others remained classified and were kept secret for decades.

A BBC News report dated November 21, 2005 nicely summarizes the situation that existed at the close of WW2. That report states: “The end of World War II saw an intense scramble for Nazi Germany’s many technological secrets. The Allies vied to plunder as much equipment and expertise as possible from the rubble of the Thousand Year Reich for themselves, while preventing others from doing the same”.

The report continues: “The range of Germany’s technical achievement astounded Allied scientific intelligence experts accompanying the invading forces in 1945”.

That BBC News report also reminds us “It was the US and the Soviet Union which, in the first days of the Cold War, found themselves in a race against time to uncover Hitler’s scientific secrets”.

Project Paperclip was America’s solution to this problem. Supposedly named after the paperclips that were used to attach the files of the recruited German scientists, the project was the brainchild of America’s Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JOIA), a sub-committee of the Joint Chief’s of Staff of the US Armed Forces.

Project Paperclip’s architects viewed their secret endeavor as the solution to harnessing Nazi scientists’ superior knowledge and expertise, and positioning America as the world leader in science and technology.

MK-Ultra, the CIA’s far-reaching mind-control program, was an umbrella project spawned from the US Government’s super-secret Project Paperclip, a sinister venture that involved bringing dozens of Nazi scientists to America immediately after World War Two.The Ninth Orphan

Paperclip Nazis get their greencards

The recruitment of Nazi scientists began as soon as the war ended although the project itself wasn’t officially signed off by President Harry Truman until three months later.

It should be noted that while Truman stipulated that scientists who were active in the Nazi Party, or who actively supported it, should not be recruited, such limitations would have precluded the recruitment of the most eligible prospects.

Declassified files show that Truman’s orders were ignored. All recruits were cleared to work in America after their backgrounds were cleaned up. US authorities created fake resumes, removing any mention of Nazi involvement, and entire false identities were designed for the highest profile war criminals.

Those same declassified files also indicate that, at one point, around 10,000 Nazis were living undercover in America. (Some estimates are as high as 15,000). Many were awarded citizenship. Imagine how many descendants of those Nazis reside in the US today. It’s quite possible some are reading this book right now.

Tom Bower’s 1987 book, The Paperclip Conspiracy: The Hunt for the Nazi Scientists, provides an insightful look at the history behind the project and reminds readers how quickly morals can be set to one side to meet an apparent need – in this case the need for scientific knowledge. The author cites official WW2 files as his main source of information.

Worldwide asylum for Nazi scientists

Reviewers of Bower’s book have picked up on a key point he makes – notably that the Americans, Soviets and Brits were fiercely competing to secure Nazi scientists for themselves and were prepared to overlook the fact some, or possibly many, were known war criminals.

Various international media reports have also confirmed Britain and other countries outside the US were extremely active in pursuing Nazi scientists.

For example, The Guardian newspaper edition of August 17, 1999 reports that Britain secretly organized the recruitment and transfer to Australia of scores of leading Nazi scientists and weapons specialists after the close of WW2.

Quoting newly declassified Australian Government papers, The Guardian says the German scientists sent to Australia under a top secret project codenamed Operation Matchbox included SS and Nazi party members.

The article also states: “The leading Nazi-hunting watchdog, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre, in Jerusalem, yesterday demanded an investigation into the recruitments ordered by Britain and the US, and said Australia was a haven for ‘holocaust perpetrators and mass murderers’.”

The same newspaper, on August 29, 2007, reports that, contrary to general assumption, German scientists and technicians were forcibly evacuated from Germany to Britain for more than two years after cessation of hostilities. In other words, they didn’t volunteer. From what we can deduce, the same applies to those who ended up working in the US and the Soviet Union.

Welcome mat rolled out for war criminals

In the post-war years in the US, Project Paperclip remained hush-hush and only a select few knew of its existence. It wasn’t until much later the American public learned the truth – or part of the truth at least.

A US Justice Department report dated December 2006 states: “In the 1970’s, the public was shocked to learn that some Nazi persecutors had emigrated to the United States. There were calls for their expulsion and legislation was passed to facilitate their deportation. OSI (the Office of Special Investigations) was created in 1979 to handle the caseload”.

In the report, the Justice Department goes to great lengths to explain that the obstacles to success in prosecuting these Nazi war criminals were formidable. It lists numerous reasons supporting this opinion – not the least being that so much time had passed and many of the recruits had died.

Several prominent US newspapers have claimed that the Justice Department report reveals OSI investigators learned some of the Nazis were knowingly granted entry to the US even though government officials were aware of their pasts. Some journalists have observed that America, with its proud history of providing sanctuary for the persecuted including Holocaust survivors, had ended up giving asylum to some of their persecutors.

A New York Times article dated November 13, 2010 takes the Justice Department to task for sitting on its report for so long. The article states: “The 600-page report, which the Justice Department has tried to keep secret for four years, provides new evidence about more than two dozen of the most notorious Nazi cases of the last three decades”.

However, it’s the article’s intro that caught our eye. It reads: “A secret history of the US Government’s Nazi-hunting operation concludes that American intelligence officials created a safe haven in the US for Nazis and their collaborators after WW2 and it details decades of clashes, often hidden, with other nations over war criminals here and abroad”.

While over 300 Nazi migrants have either been deported or refused visas to America since OSI’s formation, the Justice Department’s report leaves no doubt the US Government collaborated with notorious war criminals and knowingly granted them entry into the US.

The CIA doesn’t escape censure either. Its “use of Nazis for postwar intelligence purposes” comes under the spotlight in the report.

So who were these Paperclip Nazis?

There’s obviously too many Paperclip Nazis to name them all, but here’s a few confirmed names that kept popping up in our research.

Rocket engineer and prominent Nazi Arthur Rudolph was a major player in the development of Germany’s V-2 rocket before being brought to the US. Rudolph subsequently worked for the US Army, developing missile systems, and for NASA, helping pioneer America’s space program. After being investigated for possible war crimes, he struck a deal with the US Government that enabled him to depart the country without being prosecuted (in the US).One of the accusations leveled at him was that he’d worked thousands of slave laborers to death – an accusation he denied.

File:Arthur Rudolph.jpg

Engineer Georg Rickhey was awarded the War Merit Cross for his work overseeing Germany’s production of the V-1 and V-2 rockets. After being brought to the US, he was returned to Germany to face accusations of having cooperated with the Gestapo and the SS. However, lack of evidence saw him acquitted and returned to continue his work in the US.

File:Georg Rickhey.jpg

Physiologist Hubertus Strughold, Chief of Aeromedical Research with the German Luftwaffe, subsequently worked at a high level in medical positions in NASA and the US Air Force. Strughold was bestowed the unofficial title of ‘the father of space medicine’ for his studies of the effects of spaceflight on astronauts. Before and after his death, he became the subject of several investigations into alleged war crimes, suffering significant damage to his reputation. One allegation leveled against him was that he was involved in Dachau Concentration Camp experiments, including one in which camp inmates were exposed to freezing conditions.

Since Strughold’s death, debate has raged between former colleagues and between fellow scientists. Some insist his involvement with the Nazis should preclude any honors being bestowed upon him while others claim there was no evidence to prove he was guilty of the crimes he was accused of.

Perhaps the most prominent Nazi import was rocket scientist Wernher von Braun who is referred to as ‘the father of rocket science’. Herr von Braun spearheaded Nazi Germany’s development of rocket technology, and later, in company with key members of his team, became a leading figure in America’s rocket program. Along with his protégé Doctor Hermann Oberth, he was an integral part of America’s first Moon-landing.

File:Dornberger-Axter-von Braun.jpg

An injured Wernher von Braun surrenders to the Americans. (1945).

In the biography of von Braun on NASA’s official website, readers are advised the scientist engineered the surrender of 500 of his top rocket scientists, along with plans and test vehicles, to the Americans. He worked with the US Army for 15 years developing ballistic missiles before being sent to the US and eventually becoming a naturalized American.

Given that mind control as we know it was first mastered during Hitler’s reign, it’s no surprise Nazi psychiatrists were also among those brought into the US post WW2.

As Dr. Thomas Roeder and co-authors Volker Kubillus and Anthony Burwell revealed in their 1995 book Psychiatrists: The Men Behind Hitler, psychiatry was highly valued in the Third Reich. From declassified Paperclip files it’s obvious the science of the mind was equally valued by US authorities.

What’s insane is that after the American public had paid an enormously high price to win WW2, US taxpayers then paid for Josef Mengele’s protégés to live and work in America.

This means that Doctor Mengele’s dark scientific legacy not only included the countless victims of the Holocaust experiments he conducted, but also the thousands of American and Canadian casualties of the MK-Ultra program.

File:Auschwitz II-Birkenau main entrance and train wagon.JPG

Auschwitz concentration camp…just a stepping stone for Mengele and his associates.

When considering Project Paperclip’s influence on modern mind control programs, the doctor’s moniker The Angel of Death suddenly becomes even more relevant.

“What national security permits the removal of fundamental power from the hands of the American people and validates the ascendancy of an invisible government in the United States? That kind of national security, gentlemen of the jury, is when it smells like it, feels like it, and looks like it, you call it what it is: Fascism! I submit to you that what took place on November 22, 1963 was a coup d’etat.” –Monologue delivered by Kevin Costner and written by Oliver Stone in JFK (1991)

Unit 731 – the Japanese Auschwitz

File:Unit 731 - Complex .jpg

The Unit 731 Japanese Biological Warfare research facility.

It seems there was another post-WW2 program remarkably similar to Project Paperclip, involving Japanese scientists and war criminals rather than the Nazis. The US was a key player in this program, too. As a comparative example, it’s worth studying to better understand why Western superpowers protected known war criminals throughout the mid-late 20th Century.

This program involves a ghastly human experimentation project at the infamous Unit 731, an isolated Japanese Biological Warfare research facility located in what was then Manchuria, a Japanese puppet state, but is now Northeast China. The experimentation project was the brainchild of the notoriously cruel General Shirō Ishii, a scientist who was effectively Japan’s equivalent of Dr. Joseph Mengele.

File:Shiro-ishii.jpg

General Shirō Ishii…Commander of Unit 731.

Researchers at Unit 731, which facilitated secret biological and chemical warfare research, mainly used captured Chinese and Russian subjects for their horrific medical experiments. However, their human guinea pigs also included American, Australian, New Zealand and British prisoners of war.

General Ishii’s medical testing at the secret Manchurian facility included high-voltage electric shock experiments, cyanide poisonings, frostbite studies, biological weapons testing including anthrax, heroin and other drug tests, and injecting prisoners with bacteria from plague-infected fleas procured from mice; live dissections on prisoners were also common and the victims were not even given any painkillers while their bodies were slowly dissected.

The prisoners were referred to as “monkeys” in scientific papers, even though it was common knowledge amongst the Japanese military and in political circles that the test subjects were in fact humans. Tens of thousands of victims died at Unit 731 and its sister sites.

Although less widely reported than Mengele’s medical research at Auschwitz, many historians have compared the hideous medical experiments at Unit 731 to the Nazi medical experiments during the Holocaust.

Parallels with Project Paperclip are numerous. Declassified documents have revealed that after the war ended, large-scale collaboration occurred between America and scientists of Unit 731. What’s more, the insidious Japanese research became the basis for many US military operations – and like the Nazi scientists protected by Project Paperclip, many of Unit 731’s scientists went on to have prominent careers after the war.

Just as the Nazis had made incredible scientific breakthroughs during the war years, it appears Japan was another scientific giant of the era. Germany and Japan obviously got the jump on the rest of the world in the area of medical research by being able to ruthlessly experiment on as many human subjects as they wanted. And this informative and valuable research was desired by both the US and the Soviet Union at the start of the Cold War.

Japan’s scientific breakthroughs most likely explain why General Ishii and all the other Japanese scientists involved in Unit 731 were never tried for war crimes by the US or by any other Allied nation.

A US intelligence cable advised the War Department that the Japanese scientists, “headed by Ishii did violate rules of land warfare,” but that “this expression of opinion is not a recommendation that group be charged and tried as such.”

Further evidence of the United States’ intentions is evidenced by the actions of General Douglas MacArthur. While serving as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, MacArthur wrote to Washington DC on May 6, 1947 as follows: “Statements from Ishii probably can be obtained by informing Japanese involved that information will be retained in intelligence channels and will not be employed as ‘War Crimes’ evidence.”

The following year, in exchange for all their biological warfare research, MacArthur orchestrated a deal with the scientists of Unit 731, including General Ishii, whereby they were secretly granted complete immunity from prosecution. Claims of the horrors Allied POW’s endured at the hands of their Japanese captors were from that point on ignored, and the ensuing Tokyo War Crimes trials omitted reference to Ishii and his staff.

File:IMTFE defendants.jpg

Japanese war crimes trial defendants…those involved with Unit 731 conspicuous by their absence.

In the decades immediately after the war ended, the Japanese and American governments continuously denied any conspiracy surrounding the legacy of Unit 731.

However, another file from General MacArthur’s headquarters confirms the ugly truth. In it, MacArthur states that in studying General Ishii’s work, “utmost secrecy is essential in order to protect the interests of the United States and to guard against embarrassment”.

Like the US, the Soviets also appear to have secured some of the Japanese scientists’ human experimentation research, for after WW2 a biological weapons facility was built in Sverdlovsk, in the Soviet Union. The Sverdlovsk facility and practices within it are said to have been almost a carbon copy of what was detailed in Unit 731 documents.

Many conspiracy theorists as well as a number of biological weapons researchers claim the US military secretly began testing germ warfare on American citizens without their knowledge. These tests, which were apparently conducted from the 1950’s onwards, are said by some to be based on the science of Unit 731, and include tests still classified by the CIA and the US Army’s Chemical and Biological Warfare laboratories.

The suspicion lingers that many of the US military’s covert biological warfare operations since WW2, including the Vietnam War’s Operation Ranch Hand, may be related to Unit 731 – and Gulf War Syndrome could also be the result of biological warfare directly inspired by General Ishii’s germ warfare experiments.

If by chance Chemtrails – that favorite Tinfoil Hat theory which suggests governments release chemical agents into the skies above populated areas – is one day proven to be a reality, then the Japanese experiments could also be the basis for these as well.

Along with Yamashita’s Gold and Project Paperclip, Unit 731 and its aftermath – including America’s involvement – remained one of the best kept secrets of the post war era. The public finally learned about this dreadful secret in 1993 when then US Defense Secretary William Perry finally declassified army and intelligence records relating to the Japanese human experimentation during WW2.

To refocus on Project Paperclip, there’s no doubt that bringing Nazi scientists into the US fast-tracked its scientific programs. However, it’s our opinion the project had political and moral ramifications for American society as well.

As we wrote in chapter 2, mind control was a fascist technology that appears to have enabled assassinations of many important American figures. And in chapter 7, we mentioned how a Splinter Civilization appears to have suppressed advanced technologies and used them for their own ends – much as the Nazis hid secrets from the German people before and during WW2.

Just as science and psychiatry were such a large part of the Third Reich, Project Paperclip had profound effects on American and Western society as a whole. In fact, it could easily be argued fascism subtly wormed its way into government ideologies the world over.

Added to this concern is the fact that there are still a large number of classified Project Paperclip documents in existence. If their contents are more controversial than, or even as controversial as, those of the declassified documents, the mind boggles at what secrets they hide. What else were the Nazi recruits used for and how many more war criminals were admitted to the US at war’s end? Let’s not forget the UK and Australia either; they had their Project Paperclip equivalents as did Russia.

At least one conspiracy theory author claims Josef Mengele briefly lived and worked in the US before being transferred to South America. Mengele’s name appears in no Paperclip documents, however. At least not in any declassified documents.

Josef Mengele.jpg

Josef Mengele’s…his dark legacy lives on.

If and when the remaining files are ever declassified, they may reveal even greater collusion between Nazi Party survivors and the US Government. In fact, we suspect they will. Otherwise, why do they remain classified?

Perhaps it’s not too big a stretch to suggest that Nazi ideologies continue to the present day behind the veil of supposedly free societies and governments.

Some conspiracy theorists go even further and suggest the Fourth Reich – a long-predicted successor of the Third Reich – has already been achieved. And in the United States, no less!

Citing evidence of high-ranking survivors of Germany’s Third Reich being given sanctuary in the West through top-secret operations like Project Paperclip, this theory suggests Nazi practices like human experimentation, media manipulation, military aggression and 1984-style government controls on citizens have become a reality.

We don’t claim to have all the answers on this subject – or any answers for that matter.

But one thing’s for sure: Project Paperclip, not to mention Unit 731, deserves more attention from historians and mainstream media than it currently receives.

Medical Industrial Complex

0fwa-medicalmafia

Nurse Hilda was also aware that Francis’ DNA would be useful in some of the illicit scientific experiments the agency’s medical people were carrying out on human guinea pigs in its various underground labs. One of its many legitimate businesses, KaizerSimonsKovak, just happened to be the world’s number one pharmaceutical company, and Omega was anxious to protect its market share and the huge revenues it generated. Those same revenues helped finance Omega’s activities. The Orphan Uprising

In book one in in our international thriller The Orphan Trilogy, we show Nine discovering an underground orphanage and witnessing the most horrible medical and scientific experiments imaginable being conducted on young orphans; in book three in the trilogy, we show one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies kidnapping orphans and placing them in clandestine orphanages all over the world.

These are obviously fictional incidents, but they were inspired by some of the horrific medical experiments that have been reported over the years – since and including the Nazi era of heinous medical experimentation on concentration camp inmates. Naturally, being dramatists, we sensationalized things a fair bit in the trilogy…

Or did we?

You don’t need to be a genius to know that corruption is rife in the world’s most lucrative fields. It seems few in positions of power have the ability to resist the temptation of generating vast sums of money via devious if not downright dishonest means.

Whether it be profiting from manufactured arms conflicts, manipulating financial markets or creating the illusion of a scarcity of minerals and resources, history proves greed is often the rule and not the exception when it comes to the global elite’s pursuit of wealth – or, perhaps more pertinently and disturbingly, when it comes to their pursuit of greater wealth.

Many argue that the medical sector is no different. This seems a strange accusation given most in this field, including doctors, nurses and hospital staff, embark on their careers out of a compassionate and genuine desire to care for the sick.

Unfortunately, there are powers-that-be whose motives are not so noble. Collectively and unofficially called the Medical Industrial Complex, they comprise a surprisingly large number of individuals, corporations, government health services and, dare we say it, hangers-on. Those in the latter category include the likes of health systems consultants, insurers, banking executives, accountants, lawyers, construction experts and even realtors.

Big PharmaOther key players in this complex include hospitals, the medical academic establishment, hospital supply and equipment companies, and of course the drug companies – let’s not forget them.

To put the Medical Industrial Complex into perspective, consider this: modern medicine is one of the largest and most profitable industries on the planet. Someone who should know described it as America’s biggest industry. Not sure it’s as big as the war industry, but if it ain’t, it must be a close second.

At the time of writing, Americans were transfixed, bemused and frustrated by the partisan squabbling surrounding President Obama’s attempts to sort out the country’s healthcare provisions once and for all.

One who summarizes America’s health problems better than most is William A. Collins, a former state representative and former Mayor of Norwalk, Connecticut. In an article dated August 21, 2013, on OtherWords.org, Collins says in the US, the health industry’s big players focus on making as much money as possible.

Collins also says, “The providers devise the system, making profits a high priority. Patients that can’t contribute to profit margins are shunted off to government services or ignored… The network of handshakes and private agreements that links hospitals to medical device manufacturers and drug reps inflates our health cost just as much as the insurance and Big Pharma… Fortunately, the main offenders can be clearly labeled. Chief among them are the health insurers and the drug manufacturers. Big Pharma wields an army of lobbyists and administers large doses of campaign contributions to their friends in Congress”.

http://morcanbooksandfilms.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/814be-4140380_f248.jpg?w=614For those not familiar with the term Big Pharma, it’s the nickname given to the major pharmaceutical conglomerates which collectively form this multi-trillion dollar industry. Many believe Big Pharma can be compared to the most corrupt banks, media monopolies or oil corporations.

If you haven’t worked it out already, the conspiracy theory we explore in this chapter contends that Big Pharma and other participants in the Medical Industrial Complex put profits ahead of patients’ wellbeing and dollars ahead of lives.

Conspiring to quash alternative medicines

If Big Pharma is the Devil in this medical conspiracy theory, then natural/alternative medicine would probably be God.

Many of those in the medical fraternity instantly label treatments in the traditional, natural or holistic health fields as quackery. This word is even used to describe Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Indian Ayerveda, two medical systems which are far older than Western medicine and globally just as popular.

http://morcanbooksandfilms.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/db26b-big-1.jpg?w=614

One sign that the Medical Industrial Complex may view natural/alternative medicine as a financial threat is the sweeping law changes it has forced upon the alternative health market in recent years. Today, most nations now have laws requiring any health substance with medicinal claims to be legally defined as “drugs”. This includes herbal remedies and various other non-drug medicines of natural origins. Critics say such laws prevent wider distribution of natural health products and give Big Pharma ever more control.

In the US, these laws are monitored by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), an organization which conspiracy theorists argue is at the very top of the Medical Industrial Complex. That’s right folks, the same FDA that allows genetically-modified Monsanto organisms in your food supply and the same FDA that allows your kids to consume Aspartame in soft drinks is the organization responsible for telling Americans how they can and cannot treat their illnesses.

It has been repeatedly argued by natural health proponents that major pharmaceutical companies, along with their supportive cronies in governments, conspired to pass these laws to force the public to only use modern medicines that are pharmacological, patented and profitable.

Call us crazy, but we think any product with 100% natural and non-synthetic ingredients such as herbs, veggies and roots should be in a totally separate category to synthetic, laboratory-made pharmaceutical drugs.

Many alternative health researchers also claim that little funding is granted for research into natural or traditional cures because Big Pharma cannot patent things which occur organically in nature.

One such example is the work of high-profile American chemist and Nobel Peace Prize-recipient Linus Pauling (1901-1994). He received no support from the medical establishment for radical health discoveries he claimed he discovered when experimenting with mega-doses of Vitamin C. Despite his illustrious credentials, Pauling was also labeled a quack for his claims that the natural, unpatentable Vitamin C could cure a whole host of diseases, including cancer.

L Pauling.jpg

Linus Pauling…labeled a quack despite his credentials.

However, it appears Pauling may have the last laugh, albeit posthumously. Several high profile studies in the last few years suggest his theories on high dose Vitamin C being an effective anticancer agent may indeed be correct.

Suppressed cures

As covered in chapter 7, there seems to be more than enough evidence to support the claim that at least some scientific breakthroughs are suppressed. Unfortunately, it appears this also happens within modern medicine where cures for various illnesses mysteriously vanish or are quashed by the medical establishment.

This suppression theory supports the assertion that Big Pharma needs sick people to prosper. Patients, not healthy people, are their customers. If everybody was cured of a particular illness or disease, pharmaceutical companies would lose 100% of their profits on the products they sell for that ailment.

What all this means is because modern medicine is so heavily intertwined with the financial profits culture, it’s a sickness industry more than it is a health industry.

The cancer industry world wide is estimated at a 200 billion dollar a year industry. There are many in various associated positions within that industry who would be without a job if that cash flow dried up suddenly with the news that there are cheaper, less harmful, and more efficacious remedies available. Big Pharmacy would virtually vanish.” –Paul Fassa. Article excerpt in Natural News, September 24, 2009.

Finding (hiding) a cure for cancer

In the West at least, cancer is the biggest natural killer. Some fatality estimates have been as high as 20,000 cancer patients worldwide dying every day. When a cancer cure is finally found it will save millions of lives and will be the medical discovery of this era.

In the last few decades, hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent internationally on cancer research. In the US alone, since President Nixon launched his ‘War on Cancer’ program in 1971, tens of billions in government funding have been granted to cancer researchers.

However, there are theories out there which suggest there has already been a cure, or many cures, discovered for cancer. These popular conspiracy theories suggest the Medical Industrial Complex have a huge financial incentive to suppress cures so they can continue to provide their own costly treatments for cancer patients.

If true, that would be a callous and unforgiveable business model, unnecessarily costing countless lives.

There are many case studies that support the theory. Here’s a sample of those.

In the 1920’s, Canadian nurse Rene Caisse developed a natural concoction of herbs called Essiac. She claimed it could cure cancer and garnered many testimonials from satisfied patients said to be cancer-free after taking the product. Laboratory tests did not confirm Essiac offered any benefits whatsoever, but conspiracy theorists argue the lab tests were rigged and that Big Pharma flexed its muscle to shut Caisse down.

In the 1940’s, German-born American physician Max Gerson (1881-1959) developed anutrition-based cancer treatmentcalled Gerson Therapy. After repeatedly claiming his therapy cured cancer, Doctor Gerson had his medical license suspended and he died while still under suspension. Although now a maligned and mostly forgotten cancer treatment in America, it remains popular in Mexico where there are Gerson clinics in operation, treating local and foreign cancer patients.

In the 1950’s, American coal miner Harry Hoxsey promoted his family’s century-old herbal recipe, which he touted as a cancer cure. He set up clinics in 17 states around America before all were closed down by the FDA.Hoxsey made a rare documentary film in 1957 called You Don’t Have to Die, which detailed his cure and covered the patients he treated with it. There’s a more recent documentary titled Hoxsey: How Healing Becomes a Crime, which chronicles his battles with ‘organized medicine’.

In the 1980’s, Italian medical doctor, chemist and pharmacologist Luigi di Bella (1912-2003) claimed to have developed a cure for cancer known as Di Bella Therapy. The formula was a combination of vitamins, drugs and hormones.

The American Cancer Society says on its website that numerous studies showed Di Bella Therapy “may have had a negative effect compared to the outcome for similar patients receiving standard treatment”.

However, there are some alternative medical researchers who believe Di Bella therapy was a legitimate cancer cure that was permanently quashed by the medical establishment.

Despite the extremely negative press garnered in Italy and the rest of the world there are, or were, cancer patients who swore by Di Bella Therapy and gave testimonials. For example, on the website beatingcancercenter.org is the following statement: “For about three years, the patient has been following the Di Bella therapy without side effects, improving the quality of life and going back to work.”

Luigi di Bella himself consistently stated that pharmaceutical companies were conspiring against him.

cura-di-bella.jpg

Professor Luigi di Bella…claims Big Pharma was out to get him.

The list of other supposed cancer cures said to have been suppressed is long enough to fill a whole book. These range from Cannabidiol, the little-known medical compound found in Marijuana, to a treatment that involves ingesting nothing other than regular household baking soda.

If you have cancer or know anyone who has been diagnosed with the disease, Massimo Mazzucco’s 2010 documentary film Cancer: The Forbidden Cures is a good starting place for those searching for natural cures.

Of course, always consult with your doctor first. (And in case you’re wondering, this is another disclaimer we had to include for legal reasons!).

To be fair, the natural health sector has attracted its share of quacks, too, so all claims of cures should be treated with a degree of skepticism until proven. However, automatically riding roughshod over claims of natural cures, especially where those claims are supported by glowing, bona-fide testimonials, is not the answer any more than gullibly believing them all is.

There are those who may argue that Big Pharma could also make money out of cures for cancer and that it would be a lot easier than suppressing cures. To counter that, many independent medical researchers say long-term or ongoing cancer treatments, like chemotherapy, would be far more profitable than delivering single-visit cures. It has been estimated that the average cancer patient spends tens of thousands of dollars on standard treatments with some even spending hundreds of thousands.

Again, Big Pharma’s repeat customers are sick people. From a financial perspective, cured people are of little use.

As the cancer industry alone is a multi-trillion dollar industry for Big Pharma, it seems believable that if any cure was to be suppressed for financial gain it would be a cancer cure.

Like all companies in the legal drug trade, KaizerSimonsKovak needed to test new drugs before releasing them onto the market. While its competitors tested their new drugs mostly on rats, mice and monkeys, KSK had the advantage of being able to test them on humans. No KSK employee, or indeed anyone outside Omega, was aware of that, however. All testing was contracted out – to another Omega-owned company. And its modus operandi was far from legal. The Orphan Uprising

Human guinea pigs

On May 14, 2013, German news magazine Der Spiegel ran an article about international drug companies conducting illegal tests on impoverished citizens in India. The article stated, “The practice is forbidden, but the use of subcontractors makes it difficult to detect”.

In 2008, it was revealed that over a two-and-a- half-year period of testing medicines at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), 49 babies had died during clinical studies. The Times of India reported this incident in no uncertain terms in an August 19, 2008 article headlined 49 babies die during clinical trials at AIIMS.

AIIMS headquarters in New Delhi… site of illegal testing of patients.

Such experimentation is in direct violation of the World Medical Association’s Declaration of Helsinki, which requires subjects in tests to be shielded from harm. However, in the AIIMS scandal the accused international drug manufacturers denied all responsibility for, or even any involvement in, the tests on the babies.

Besides India, it’s common for Big Pharma to carry out illegal testing of medicines and drugs on human subjects in Russia, Brazil and China. So maybe showing orphans being used to test pharmaceutical drugs on in The Orphan Uprising is not that far-fetched after all.

He deliberately avoided using the term human guinea pig, preferring test subject to convey what was in store for Francis. It sounded more benign. The Orphan Uprising

Sinking natural health products in a sea of red tape? Suppressing cancer cures? Turning humans into lab rats? Cynically targeting babies, impoverished people, psychiatric patients, prisoners and others who don’t have a voice for unethical medical testing?

Even if a fraction of the conspiracy theories explored in this chapter are true, it appears something has run amuck in the medical field – within Big Pharma and other key players in the Medical Industrial Complex in particular. For obvious reasons we can’t name names, but one thing’s for sure…You know who you are!

But we ain’t doctors, so what do we know? Oh, and did we mention we forgot to take our medication whilst writing this chapter? Hmmm, maybe that’s why we’re feeling so paranoid…

Jonestown: suicides or mass murder?

The Trojan Horse Sterling had referred to reflected his belief that the truth about Jonestown had never been revealed to the American people. A belief shared by his fellow co-founders. They were certain that while there were undoubtedly suicides at Jonestown, the event could more accurately be described as a mass murder that resulted from an experiment of sorts carried out by various US agencies. The Orphan Factory

Aerial view of Jonestown, Guyana.

The Peoples Temple Agricultural Project was a predominantly American residential community in Guyana, South America. Branded a cult by the media, it was more commonly known as Jonestown in deference to its leader, Jim Jones, a former communist and drug addict, and son of a Ku Klux Klansman.

Cult leader Jim Jones

Peoples Temple cult leader Jim Jones.

The community made world headlines on November 18, 1978, when it was announced 918 people at Jonestown, including 200 children, had died. All but two Peoples Temple members died from cyanide poisoning in what was labeled “revolutionary suicide” by Jim Jones himself.

Jonestown after the ‘event’…ghastly and surreal.

Besides the suicides at Jonestown, several surviving Temple members murdered five others, includingCalifornia Congressman Leo Ryanat the nearby Port Kaituma airstrip.

Jonestown remained the largest loss of American civilian life in a single non-natural disaster until the deaths that occurred in the US on 9/11 in 2001.

Everything covered so far in this chapter is the official version of what occurred at Jonestown. However, there have long been rumors of MK-Ultra experimentation with the commune before the tragic incident occurred, and CIA involvement before and after the incident. Crucial sources, including Jonestown survivors as well as local officials first on the scene, appear to radically contradict the mass suicide story.

Cult members remonstrate with Jones (center) immediately before the ‘suicides’. The photographer was Greg Robinson, of the Examiner, who was one of the media reps killed at Georgetown Airport.

If something other than the mass suicide the history books inform us happened in 1978 at Jonestown, then what did occur? A dark social experiment, wholesale murder, CIA assassinations, mind control implementation gone wrong, or what? These, and more, have been touted as fact by independent researchers over the years.

In The Orphan Factory, we explore these theories when Nine and another orphan-operative attempt an assassination, deep in Guyana’s Amazon rainforest, of a survivor of the Jonestown tragedy.

What struck him most were the discrepancies in the body count, and Omega’s research people had come up with some interesting theories on that. –The Orphan Factory

Jonestown discrepancies

Unusual anomalies within the US Government’s official version of Jonestown raise alarm bells as they do seem to point to a conspiracy. In fact, there were so many conflicting reports that it was, and is, difficult to make head or tail of the event.

Jonestown bodies

Senseless deaths surrounded by mystery…then and now.

The Guyanese army, whose soldiers were among the first on the scene, reported only 408 Temple members had died by their own hand. Then the New York Times reported the actual number was around 500.

US Military personnel arrived several days later and the body count quickly rose – from 700 to a final tally of 909. No official explanation was ever given for these differing body counts although one US official was quoted as saying, “Guyanese cannot count.”

U.S. military officers place Jones's victims in coffins

American Soldiers prepare bodies for shipment in coffins from Georgetown Airport, Guyana (above) while more bodies are unloaded in bodybags (below).

There were also conflicting reports on the causes of death. The New York Times had reported the first medical official to arrive on the scene said he’d witnessed numerous gunshot wounds on victims. That didn’t tally with the official story that the majority had committed suicide by drinking cyanide. And no-one seemed to know exactly how many people were in Jonestown at the time. Therefore, reports listing 33 survivors couldn’t be verified.

Local newspaper the Guyanese Daily Mirror reported that around 60 to 80 American Green Berets and several hundred members of the UK’s SAS Black Watch were performing military exercise drills in the jungles surrounding Jonestown at the exact same time the mass suicides or the massacre – depending on your take – occurred.

Was that a coincidence or does it as some suggest point to a sinister outside party, or parties, being responsible for the deaths?

Another anomaly in the official version as told by the US Government was that the bodies lay neatly arranged in rows and showed no signs of the heavily twisted rigidity known to be induced in cyanide suicides.

In the coroner’s court, Guyanese pathologist Dr. Leslie Mootoo stated the bodies looked like they’d been murdered and, in his opinion, were not suicides at all. Dr. Mootoo also said that while he did find gunshot wounds on a small percentage of the victims, he found needle marks on the vast majority.

Needle usage would directly contradict the cyanide story as the official story says the cyanide was taken orally.

The US Army, however, said the cause of death was irrefutably cyanide suicides. Interestingly, it was only after mounting pressure from family members of the deceased back in America that the Army finally agreed to perform some autopsies – seven out of 900 deaths to be precise. Those token autopsies were clearly too few to gain true insight into what caused the deaths.

Assassination of a congressman

Californian Congressman Leo Ryan had flown down to Guyana to investigate strange irregularities at Jonestown shortly before the incident.

Congressman Leo J. Ryan

Congressman Ryan.

In the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Vault the following description is listed under the code name RYMUR (The Leo Ryan Murder/Jonestown Investigation): “On November 18, 1978, while investigating human rights abuses by a large cult led by James Warren “Jim” Jones (1931-1978), Congressman Leo Ryan (1925-1978) and several companions were murdered by Jones’ followers. Ryan had traveled to “Jonestown,” the cult’s compound in the South American country of Guyana, at the behest of his constituents, some of whom had family members in the cult. Following Ryan’s murder, Jones ordered his followers to commit mass suicide; more than 900 bodies were later found, most having died by taking poison. The FBI, charged with investigating violence against public officials, opened a probe into the murder of Ryan (hence the case name RYMUR) and provided other support and investigative assistance in relation to the mass casualties.”

Congressman Leo Ryan and three journalists killed on Jim Jones's orders

The bodies of Congressman Ryan and companions after the murders.

It has been claimed by some Jonestown researchers that Leo Ryan, who had been a vocal critic of the CIA for years, had discovered the community was not being run by Jim Jones, but by the CIA; instead of allowing Ryan to return to the US to inform congress, the CIA killed Ryan then shut down the entire Jonestown program by instigating a massacre.

CIA fingerprints on the crime scene

Jonestown member George Blakey, who was a chief aid to Jim Jones, was later identified as a CIA agent. Blakey purchased the land on which Jonestown was built. That, together with his CIA involvement and the community’s tragic end, could reasonably point to it being some kind of bizarre agency experiment.

What Blakey did immediately after the apparent Jonestown massacre lends weight to this theory. Within days, he reportedly moved to the nearby tax haven of Trinidad where he withdrew US$5 million from a Credit Suisse bank account.

In another CIA connection, US Embassy official Richard Dwyer was with Leo Ryan at the time of the airfield shootings and was later confirmed to have been a CIA agent. The first report of the “mass suicide” was made via radio a couple hours after the deaths occurred. Nobody has ever confirmed who made the radio reports, but perhaps tellingly, Richard Dwyer was the only person at Jonestown known to have a working radio.

Intriguingly, on the suicide tape recording of the last few minutes before the deaths occurred within the commune, Jim Jones can clearly be heard saying, “Get Dwyer out of here. Take him out of here now before something bad happens to him.” This implies Jones and the CIA were in cahoots as the cult leader would not allow anyone else to leave the commune.

Many independent researchers also believe the suicide tape was heavily edited to disguise the unmistakable sound of gunshots. If true, this also points to murders, not suicides.

“Most of the deaths were undoubtedly the work of MK-Ultra brainwashed moles operating inside the Peoples Temple community.”The Orphan Factory

The MK-Ultra theory

There are numerous theories suggesting Jonestown was a CIA test site for brainwashing and mind control. It has been claimed that Leo Ryan visited Jonestown because he’d uncovered evidence that Jonestown was a large-scale MK-Ultra experiment.

In a potential red flag supporting this theory, the psychoactive drugs found in Jonestown included most of those used in the MK-Ultra program.

Early settlers of Jonestown

Peoples Temple members in happier times.

Many investigators have theorized that Larry Layton, a senior member of Jonestown, was also an undercover CIA agent. In what could be a telling connection, Layton’s father was in charge of the US Army’s Biological Weapons Research unit. Mere coincidence? Or was Jonestown a “research experiment” conducted by the military?

Larry Layton immediately after the killings at Georgetown Airport.

Another thread that could link Jonestown with an MK-Ultra experiment is that US citizens were taken from mental hospitals and children were taken from orphanages in America and placed in the commune. (You’ll recall from the declassified CIA documents mentioned in chapter 2 that it’s on the record mental patients and orphans were experimented on against their will under the MK-Ultra program).

Why such a massacre had occurred, the Omegans could only speculate. Some thought it may have been to stop a large-scale emigration out of America to a fabled Utopian society; others wondered if it was intended to create fear in the populace – fear of cults, fear of Communism, fear of anything foreign; and still others believed it was to create a precedence whereby any groups labelled a cult would be vilified without due diligence by the public. The Orphan Factory

“A Waco beta test”

The 1993 Waco massacre of members of the Christian sect, the so-called Branch Davidians, in Texas, shares much in common with Jonestown: there were conflicting reports regarding cause of death, psychoactive drugs were found on the property and there was confusion surrounding cult leader David Koresh’s intentions. In fact, Waco had a whole host of eerily similardiscrepancies, not to mention traces of CIA involvement and possibly mind control operations as well.

Waco Massacre…similarities with Jonestown.

As we wrote in The Orphan Factory; “MK-Ultra victims included the Branch Davidians at the Waco compound in Texas,” and “Jonestown was a Waco beta test.”

The US Government’s own reports emphasize that Koresh had repeatedly insisted suicide was not an option for him or his fellow community members. As with Jonestown, the commonly held belief that the entire religious community at Waco wanted to die doesn’t seem to hold true upon closer inspection.

“It suited the authorities that mainstream media reported the Jonestown tragedy as a mass suicide,” Naylor continued. “The American public readily accepted that, shocking though it was. But make no mistake. It was primarily mass murder and the Peoples Temple was effectively turned into a slaughter house.”The Orphan Factory

In addition to what’s been covered in this chapter, there have been several other prominent conspiracy theories concerning Jonestown, including one which plays on the communist connections with the cult and claims the Soviets were responsible.

Some have even theorized the Jonestown massacre was some kind of sick “racial cleansing” experiment. As most Jonestown victims were black, some have argued it was a eugenics purification test conducted by white racists to prepare for even greater ethnic casualties in years to come. (See chapter 15 for more on eugenics).

Another strange thing about Jonestown was Jim Jones’ corpse. The Peoples Temple leader was known to have tattoos all over his chest. Yet the photos of his corpse found after his supposed suicide shows a chest free of tattoos. (See photo at right).

Jim Jones crime sceneAmerica’s House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) concluded the massacre was entirely due to Jones’ “extreme paranoia” and there was no outside interference from the CIA or otherwise. Strangely though, 5000 HFAC documents on Jonestown remain classified to this day.

If the old adage Where there’s smoke there’s fire is true then Jonestown must have been a cover-up of some kind. And it does seem unlikely anyone could convince more than 900 people to willfully commit suicide, especially when so many were young children.

Then again, our assumptions could all be wrong as brainwashing doesn’t only belong in the domain of intelligence agencies. Fanatical, brainwashed cult members all over the world have committed mass suicides. (Remember the Heaven’s Gate suicides?). And by all accounts Jim Jones was a megalomaniac. So it’s possible he killed himself and his devotees followed suit as per the official story. And who’s to say Jonestown members didn’t believe their leader was guiding them all into heaven?

Elixir of life

Ormus – aka ORME, White Powder Gold or simply White Gold – has been shown to balance the hemispheres of the brain and therefore accelerate learning speeds. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this unusual scientific discovery which, we admit, sounds like something out of an episode of The X-Files.

In book two of our international thriller series The Orphan Trilogy we refer to how daily consumption of Ormus assists the orphans in every facet of their life, from enhancing mental alertness to developing physical strength and endurance to promoting good health.

As the White Gold dissolved under their tongues, not one of the orphans gave the substance a second thought. They’d been taking the powder all their lives and gave it no more consideration than they gave drinking water or breathing air.The Orphan Factory

Few mainstream scientific studies have thus far been conducted on the mysterious substance. But even if a tenth of what proponents of White Gold say is true, the potential for humanity is remarkable.

Preliminary studies have shown it to assist in a variety of diverse fields including agriculture, engineering and aeronautics. For example, small studies have been conducted by universities to evaluate Ormus’ effects on various fruits and vegetables, and the results are impressive. Farmers and growers worldwide have also reported increased growth in crops, nuts, fruits and vegetables as a result of using Ormus.

However, it is the superconductor’s effects on humans that have prompted most interest. Slowing aging, assisting mental wellbeing, replacing gray hair, improving eyesight, re-growing missing teeth, increasing body immunity and correcting damaged DNA are but a few of the astonishing claims surrounding the substance.

Ormus test results are apparently off the charts and defy the laws of science. White Gold experts explain this by saying the substance exists in the realms of quantum physics and hyperdimensional theory. Skeptics, however, say Ormus more appropriately exists in the twilight zone and its benefits are nowhere near conclusively proven.

Consumers of the little known substance, which is created in different forms by hundreds of commercial manufacturers worldwide, come from all sectors of society. Examples range from sportsmen looking for legal performance enhancers to terminally sick people seeking alternative cures for illnesses modern medicine cannot cure. A-List Hollywood stars are also among those who regularly ingest Ormus.

Discovery

Ormus was discovered in 1975 by David Hudson, an Arizona cotton farmer and wealthy businessman. Hudson came across the substance while conducting analysis of natural resources on one of his farms in Arizona. He ended up devoting his life and millions of dollars to researching the strange substance, which he linked to Biblical and ancient Egyptian alchemy.

Ormus founder David Hudson

It was an unusual-looking white powder that the farmer discovered by chance on his farm. When he put the powder out to dry in the hot Arizona sun, it radically changed – from powder to oil!

After conducting scientific analysis of the substance, Hudson confirmed it seems to have odd properties that defy the laws of nature. For example, Ormus’ elements, which include gold, copper and iron, frequently morph into other elements and the substance becomes an electromagnetic superconductor under certain conditions.

Hudson claimed to have knowledge of secretive Government-funded studies of Ormus. He said these experiments took place in laboratories throughout the US and the Soviet Union in the 1980’s. If such experiments did take place, they’ve never been made public.

In the late 1980’s, Hudson was issued a British patent by the UK Intellectual Property Office for the Ormus product he formulated from his initial discovery. At the same time, he coined a term for the exotic elements he patented – Orbitally Rearranged Monoatomic Elements, or ORME.

Shortly thereafter, Hudson was informed he no longer had the patent. He claims no clear reason was given and, soon after, he received a visit from the US Department of Defense.

Hudson then enigmatically became reclusive and made few if any public appearances for about 20 years. Nor did he make any comments about Ormus during that period. Only in the last two to three years has he ventured into the public arena again, giving lectures about his discovery.

It’s worth considering the following excerpt by Barry Carter – arguably the world’s foremost expert on Ormus and one of the few who personally knows David Hudson – from an article Carter wrote on the subtleenergies.com website: “It is my firm belief that, once it becomes widely known, the discovery of the ORMUS materials will be heralded as the greatest scientific discovery in human history.”

As he watched his manufactured orphans consume their prescribed allocations of the substance, Doctor Pedemont pondered its scientific make-up. Besides gold, he knew it contained a number of other metals including rhodium, iridium, copper and platinum which, like the gold portion, all existed in their non-metallic states. The Orphan Factory

Scientific properties

Ormus is a complex concentrate of chemical elements. Besides gold, it contains a number of other metals including rhodium, iridium, copper and platinum. These metals are said to exist in the monoatomic state, or m-state – an unusual high-spin state of matter where metals don’t form bonds or crystals but remain single atoms.

Incidentally, Ormus’ non-scientific name White Powder Gold refers to the fact that when processed its appearance is reminiscent of cocaine powder.

MONATOMIC GOLD, MINERAL POWDER 8 OZS DIY ORMUS MATERIAL

Ormus aka White Powder Gold.

M-state elements are naturally abundant in seawater, and the pure sea salt in seawater is said to be responsible for these rare, high-spin particles.Ormus properties are also said to be present in most rocks as well as trees.

In addition, various researchers have independently claimed to have found Ormus elements embedded in the DNA structure of animals and plants as well as in humans’ brain, skin, nails, hair, blood and in all the organs.

Different methods for obtaining Ormus elements have been devised in recent years – the easiest and most common of which involves combining ocean water, lye water and distilled water in the right fashion. This method is said to be so simple it can be done by anyone in their own home.

Supposed formulas, or recipes, have been posted on various websites online. However, it’s not clear whether these formulas lead to the same Ormus elements as those David Hudson discovered.

Tut’s tail

In 2003, US citizen Dana Dudley found a stray male cat which she named Tut. Dudley adopted Tut and allowed him to sleep on the back porch of her home. Later, Tut’s tail was cut off in an accident.

tuttail08-14

Tut’s severed tail

Dudley, who happened to be an Ormus user, decided to treat Tut with the substance to see if it would help the injured cat. Every day, she placed Ormus in Tut’s food and also hand-fed some to him. It wasn’t long before she was able to report that Tut had begun growing a new tail.

In 2007, Dudley posted before-and-after photos online of Tut. In the latest photos, the cat’s tail looked normal and appeared to have completely regenerated. These before-and-after photos have been shared and reposted on various websites, and they remain online for all to see.

As of writing, Tut is still alive and Dudley reports he is a very happy and active cat.

 images2

Tut now a happy cat…

ORME’s biological results were outstanding. As well as balancing both hemispheres of the brain, the product had also been proven to activate so-called Junk DNA, and the orphans’ regular consumption of it allowed them to move, fight and think as efficiently and effectively as almost any adult. The Orphan Factory

Health benefits

As mentioned, Ormus can be taken in order to improve a person’s health. In its powdered form, it’s usually ingested sublingually, or under the tongue. When taken this way, it goes straight into the bloodstream. Alternatively, in its liquid state, White Gold can be drunk as a potion or else applied topically to the skin.

Not long after he discovered Ormus and began analyzing it, David Hudson said the substance could repair the body on a genetic level. Others have since postulated that Ormus is a universal cure for all forms of disease, including cancer and AIDS. Proponents also say the substance can correct errors in the DNA and even activate Junk DNA.

147215491.jpg

Claims that Ormus can activate junk DNA…unproven.

It’s worth mentioning that most commercial manufacturers of Ormus have numerous testimonials from customers. Testimonials on the manufacturers’ websites claim cures for all sorts of serious illnesses, including mental disorders, diabetes, heart disease and osteoporosis. Various anti-aging results have also been reported.

Again, though, it should be stressed none of these health benefits have been proven scientifically. It’s anybody’s guess whether Ormus users experienced the placebo effect or whether there simply haven’t been enough mainstream studies conducted to support users’ claims.

Only time will tell.

Dispensing a phial to the last of the orphans, the doctor then handed another to Kentbridge who promptly emptied its contents under his tongue. As the biological effects were known to be similar for everyday people like him, Kentbridge thought it couldn’t hurt. He’d been consuming it for over a decade – ever since Doctor Pedemont had assured him it would correct most of his damaged DNA and keep his body in shape. White Gold also had anti-aging benefits, something Kentbridge figured he would need in future if he was to keep up with the orphans. The Orphan Factory

Hollywood stars on Ormus

Since its discovery, White Gold has been used by a raft of Hollywood stars. It’s especially popular with middle-aged starlets – not surprising given the substance’s purported anti-aging benefits and the fact Hollywood is notorious for casting young, or at least youthful-looking, actresses for most major roles.

Gwyneth Paltrow's primary photo

Gwyneth Paltrow is probably the most vocal Ormus user in the Hollywood community. On the website alchemicalelixirs.com the following testimonial (of hers) appears as follows:

Gwyneth Paltrow said: August 10th, 2009 5:27 pm

Dear Brendan, congratulations on your wonderful website, I must admit I am a little bit jealous that our little secret about your incredible ORMUS is now available to the world. I know I can`t stand in the way of human evolution and I am proud of you for your part in raising awareness and the planets consciousness through your ORMUS, god bless you, love Gwyneth x PS can you send me another few bottles of your latest brew my stash is running low thanks xx

Alchemical Elixirs, which also lists Jennifer Aniston and Audrey Tautou among its clients, is just one of many Ormus manufacturers and suppliers that names film stars, business executives, top sportsmen and famous musicians among its customers.

Audrey Tautou's primary photo

Actress Audrey Tautou another Ormus user.

Like most of the substances and technologies Doctor Pedemont employed to perfect his orphan creations, the produce was not known to official science. Although the scientific community was aware of Arizona cotton farmer David Hudson’s accidental discovery of ORME back in 1975, they had been denied the opportunity to test the latest strains. Indeed, they never knew of their existence. Pure White Gold Powder, the rarest and most effective strain, had been completely withheld from mainstream scientists and from the public at large. That way, elite groups like the Omega Agency could use it in total secrecy to profit from its unquestionable benefits and to further their own agendas. The Orphan Factory

A suppressed version

Following on from the suppressed science covered in chapter 7, there have been rumors the Ormus that the public has access to is not the same as that which David Hudson discovered. The elements in the White Powder Gold that he discovered were said to become invisible at times, whereas nothing that radical appears to have been reported by Ormus users who source their product from known suppliers. No customers have disappeared that we know of!

If it’s true there’s a suppressed and more powerful type of Ormus, it probably relates to the top-secret lab experiments Hudson claimed the US and Soviets conducted in the 1980’s.

In The Orphan Factory we refer to a conspiracy theory which claims the US Military tested Ormus extensively. This theory contends that the Military Industrial Complex observed that the substance exhibited a cloak of invisibility, and signals in its presence were corrupted.

B2 Bomber Stealth USAF B-2

Rumors the US Military can render its planes invisible using Ormus…also unproven.

As we wrote in The Orphan Factory: “The military had discovered an unexpected but useful side-effect of White Gold: when smothered on vehicles and planes, they became invisible to radar and satellite technologies, and all transmission devices failed to emit signals effectively.”

Nine, our novel’s young hero, escapes from his masters by using Ormus to avoid radar detection. But that’s another story.

The agency had hired physicists, chemists and biologists to conduct laboratory experiments and design a version of ORME specifically for the orphans. They used various technologies to monitor the effectiveness of the powder, including dark-field microscopy of the blood and EEG tests on the brain. The Orphan Factory

The real gold of the ancients

Some say Ormus is the elixir of life that ancient peoples spoke of and that was lost to Mankind for several thousand years. Apparently, the Ancients variously referred to the precious powder as, among other things, the Fruit of the Tree of Life, the Gold of the Gods and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Great Salt Lake and Chalice

The mythical elixir of life was said to be a substance that would maintain life, or at least eternal youth, indefinitely. It has been said that the elixir of life was sought by alchemists for many centuries after it was lost. Subscribers to this theory say the Ancients had recognized this substance would cure all diseases and enable extraordinary life-spans for humans.

There have been rumors in conspiracy circles that Ormus was found in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. But again, this is not remotely proven.

#

For around US$100 or less you can try Ormus for yourself by ordering it direct from any one of the various commercial enterprises that manufacture or supply it. It appears the manufacturers all use different formulas and, in the tradition of alchemists, those formulas for the most part seem to remain secret.

Any mainstream studies into Ormus will be worth keeping an eye on.

For the time-being, however, the substance remains shrouded in mystery and it’s very hard to find the truth amongst the hype. This task is not made any easier with all the quasi-science commercial manufacturers are using to support their claims. No doubt the composition of their products is far removed from the properties of farmer Hudson’s original discovery.

If you are thinking of purchasing a batch of Ormus, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Besides the stunning testimonials surrounding White Gold, it’s worth noting numerous users have also reported taking it and noticing no tangible results.

So it’s a case of buyer beware and always consult your doctor.

By the way, we had to insert the italicized disclaimer above for legal purposes – such is the litigious nature of our society!

And, lastly, we could be totally wrong about everything we wrote or implied about Ormus / aka White Powder Gold. In which case, best you don’t throw out your anti-wrinkle cream just yet…

The Queen’s invisible riches

Queen%20Elizabeth%20gets%20money

In December 2013, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, better known as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, made world headlines over a trivial incident at London’s Buckingham Palace. It was reported the Queen was irate over policemen deployed to the palace who repeatedly helped themselves to nuts meant for guests.

Newspapers around the world ran headlines such as: “Queen not so nuts about ‘snacking’ policemen” and “Britain’s Queen Elizabeth goes nuts over nibbles at Buckingham Palace”.

Such headlines are typical portrayals of Her Majesty, implying she’s an eccentric old lady and some relic of another era. She is regularly presented as being nothing more than a symbolic figurehead who, apart from attending functions when duty calls, does little but walk her corgis and sip tea all day.

Despite the absence of Queen Elizabeth II’s name in annual Forbes Rich Lists, everyone in the room was aware the Queen was one of the wealthiest people in the world, if not the wealthiest. However, hers and the House of Windsor’s assets and income were mostly non-declared. The Orphan Factory

It’s also a commonly held belief that the Queen’s House of Windsor clan is a Royal Family in decline, desperately clinging to the past.

This concept would have been further solidified no doubt by an Agencies report dated January 29, 2014, advising that “the Queen’s household finances are at a ‘historic low’ with just 1 million pounds sterling in reserve, with courtiers advised to take money-saving tips from the Treasury”.

The same report advises that “the parliamentary public accounts committee found the Queen’s advisers were failing to control her finances while her palaces were crumbling”.

However, there is another take on this iconic lady who is one of history’s longest reigning monarchs. This alternative viewpoint suggests the public have been deceived into believing the Queen is just a vestige of the once powerful British Empire and no longer has any real authority.

According to this conspiracy theory, the Windsors have not yet passed their peak. On the contrary, they are richer and more powerful than ever. The only difference is they now reign, not rule. But that’s merely semantics, these conspiracy theorists argue, for the Queen actually makes a myriad of executive decisions and freely operates above presidents and prime ministers.

Contrary to the myth that the British Royals were no longer all-powerful, it was common knowledge within Omega and other organizations in the know that they remained one of the most dominant forces on the planet. The Royals were totally comfortable with the mass populace believing they’d passed their heyday. That belief allowed them to control things behind the scenes with effortless ease. And control they did, in every way imaginable. The Orphan Factory

Undeclared fortunes

It has been purported by financial researchers and alternative media outlets that there are individuals whose net worth would dwarf whoever tops the Forbes Rich List at any given time – net worth the likes of Bill Gates, Warren Buffett or Carlos Slim Helu could only dream about.

This may be hard to fathom, but it’s important to consider two points when analyzing the finances of the global elite.

Firstly, without being able to inspect the bank accounts of billionaires, Forbes and similar Rich List publishers can only make crude guesstimates of individuals’ true worth. As a result, their lists are anything but official and their accuracy is questionable – something the billionaire community is quick to point out.

Secondly, beyond those individuals and sums mentioned on the Rich Lists, there exists what is often referred to as invisible or hidden wealth. This involves non-disclosed fortunes that are virtually impossible to detect. The planet’s invisible wealth is comprised of undeclared income stashed away in offshore tax havens and Swiss bank accounts, secret Old World money and black market economies in which criminal enterprises conduct their business.

The criminal enterprises referred to include illegal drugs and arms dealing. One such arms dealer is Saudi Arabian Adnan Khashoggi who some banking and financial commentators estimate had a massive personal fortune of between US$2 trillion and US$7 trillion in the 1980’s.

However, the world is still waiting for its first official trillionaire, and Khashoggi’s fortune was only ever estimated by Forbes and the likes to be worth between $400 million and several billion. If the rumors of Khashoggi’s multi-trillion dollar personal fortune were true then there’s an extremely wide gulf separating unofficial and official estimates of his wealth.

The 2005 feature film Lord of War, directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Nicolas Cage and Ethan Hawke, is said to have been inspired by Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout. Like Khashoggi, Bout is rumored to have amassed a huge personal fortune impossible to estimate. Cage’s character, a Ukranian-American arms dealer, is shown in the movie to be above the law with apparently unlimited money and resources.

Blockbuster inspired by another wealthy arms dealer.

Former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos is another individual strongly rumored to have profited from the black market. As mentioned in chapter 6, many who have investigated Marcos, including politicians in the current Philippine government, say much of his wealth was secured from discoveries of Yamashita’s Gold. As the existence of those treasures was never acknowledged by any government, it’s conceivable President Marcos could have amassed a large fortune impossible to trace or estimate. Some investigators say his secret bank accounts amounted to trillions of dollars.

If this sounds totally unbelievable, consider the television interview Imelda Marcos gave in 2009 for the BBC TV travel series Explore. While being filmed inside her lavish home in the Philippines, Imelda told BBC presenter Simon Reeve that her late husband was heavily associated with gold mining companies and also traded in gold. The former First Lady then presented Reeve with an official document. Although she would not allow the document itself to be filmed, Reeve confirmed it was a Certificate of Deposit made by Ferdinand E. Marcos in a bank in Brussels, Belgium, for the amount of Nine Hundred and Eighty Seven Billion United States Dollars. For those who don’t have a good math brain, that’s only 13 billion short of a trillion bucks.

If true, this sum in Marcos’ Belgium bank account alone would be almost 13 times more than Bill Gates’ total current fortune. The legacy of the former president becomes even more staggering when considering that this was just one of his bank accounts; the Philippine government has confirmed through investigations of its own that Marcos had many such secret accounts in banks all over the world.

Sticking with the idea that there are individuals worth far more than the names topping official rich lists, some say the Queen is one of the wealthiest people, if not the wealthiest, in the world. In The Orphan Factory we run with this theory by referring to secret Royal assets and undeclared income of unimaginable proportions.

The special agent had often told his orphans that in her capacity as the reigning monarch of the Commonwealth nations, the Queen had legitimate business interests in the pharmaceutical, banking and mineral industries in most or all of those countries. No small cheese considering those nations included mineral-rich Canada and Australia as well as India and numerous African states. The Orphan Factory

The might of the Commonwealth

To get a sense of how wealthy and powerful the Queen really is, you must first study the Commonwealth and Her Majesty’s role as head of it. Previously known as the British Commonwealth, the Commonwealth is basically what’s left of the old British Empire that once ruled much of the world. As the various territories, or colonies, gained their independence, most became member states of the Commonwealth.

Queen Elizabeth…one of the longest reigning monarchs.

Queen Elizabeth II has been Head of the Commonwealth since her accession to the throne in 1952. As the multi-country union was only formally constituted in 1949, the Commonwealth and the Queen are in many ways inseparable.

File:Commonwealth of Nations.svg

The Commonwealth today.

With almost a third of the world’s population and a quarter of the Earth’s land mass, the Commonwealth spans all seven continents. In 2012, this intergovernmental organization produced almost $10 trillion in Gross Domestic Product, or GDP. In terms of population, wealth, mineral resources and land mass, the Commonwealth forms a big chunk of the planet.

Today, 53 countries remain in the Commonwealth. Members include such powerhouse nations as the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Australia, South Africa, Malaysia and Pakistan. Other nations include Bangladesh, Singapore, Kenya, Nigeria, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Jamaica and numerous other Caribbean countries.

In addition to being head of the Commonwealth of Nations, the Queen is the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states known as the Commonwealth realms where her powers are magnified.

For example, her official title in Australia is as follows: “Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, Queen of Australia and Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth.”

Her title as Queen and Head of Canada is almost identical to her title in Australia.

In a similar vein to the US Federal Reserve, the central banks of various Commonwealth realms such as New Zealand, Canada and Australia are officially titled ‘Crown corporations’ and by and large operate independently of those countries’ governments. Some commentators have argued this banking loop-hole allows the Queen to quietly but methodically maintain control of these nations’ finances.

The House of Windsor’s business activities were, of course, under the radar and not on the record, just as its operations in larger Commonwealth nations like Australia and Canada were also never reported. The Orphan Factory

The Queen’s representatives in Commonwealth realms like Canada, Australia, Jamaica and New Zealand are known as Governor-Generals, reflecting Her Majesty’s supreme authority. What most citizens of these countries don’t realize is that the Queen’s powers extend over and above elected prime ministers.

This little known fact reared its ugly head in 1975 when Australia’s elected Prime Minister Gough Whitlam was unceremoniously removed by then Governor-General Sir John Kerr. This was done at the behest of the Queen.

Prime Minister Whitlam had this to say to the press after being dismissed from office: “Well may we say God save the Queen, because nothing will save the Governor-General!”

Some researchers speculated the Whitlam Government’s policies were interfering with the Queen’s extensive business interests in Australia. It’s plausible policies that were called radical, Far Left and anti-business – as Whitlam’s policies were labeled by Australian and international media – could curtail profitability of Her Majesty’s vast enterprises.

Besides the Queen’s orders to dismiss Prime Minister Whitlam from office, there is a thread of evidence to suggest the CIA was also involved in Whitlam’s dismissal.

In 2010, a similar political event occurred in Australia when Kevin Rudd, the country’s elected Prime Minister, was abruptly replaced by fellow Labour Party MP Julia Gillard even though his popularity with the public was at a record high. Many citizens protested and some political analysts claimed it was unconstitutional to remove an elected PM from office. The Governor-General, however, did not intervene.

Interestingly, Rudd was in the process of implementing legislation to increase taxes on offshore mining companies to withhold more of the nation’s mineral riches for the Australian people. This legislation would have included higher taxes for Rio Tinto, the multi-national metals and mining corporation the Queen owns the majority of shares in.

As well as being able to replace prime ministers, Her Majesty has the authority in Commonwealth countries to dissolve Parliament and call elections any time she so desires, refuse to approve any legislation she doesn’t agree with and even pardon convicted criminals.

The leaders of all 53 Commonwealth countries officially swear an Oath of Allegiance to the Queen. Those who do not swear this oath are deemed unfit for office. Besides politicians, all public servants, lawyers, judges, police and military personnel are also forced to swear this oath. And new citizens of Commonwealth nations must swear an oath of allegiance to the Queen.

Bottom line is the Queen has absolute power throughout much of the mighty Commonwealth. Furthermore, she is unelected and unaccountable.

The reality was the Windsors had their fingers in many pies and had a huge say in global affairs. At home, they dictated to the British Parliament, and no elected Prime Minister could take up office without first pledging total allegiance to the Queen and future King. To Kentbridge’s way of thinking, that proved Britain was no more a democracy than was the United States. The Orphan Factory

The Queen’s position in modern Britain

In her native Britain the Queen also has more powers assigned to her than the average journalist, and certainly the average British citizen, seems to realize. This lack of awareness of the Queen’s true powers is possibly due to the fact that she rarely exercises her authority and only seems to do so when there’s no alternative.

Nevertheless, the powers she has could be argued to be undemocratic given she is non-elected and received her authority by birth – all of which sound like the antithesis of a democracy.

This sentiment was echoed by Graham Smith, chief executive of Republic, a British group which campaigns for an alternative to the monarchy. In an article by CNN (London) on June 1, 2012, Smith described the British Monarchy as being highly “secretive”.

Republic campaign manager Graham Smith

Anti-Monarchist Graham Smith critical of the Crown’s “vast powers”.

“Having recently lobbied successfully to have itself removed entirely from the reaches of our Freedom of Information laws,” Smith stated, “it lobbies government ministers for improvements to its financial benefits and for its own private agenda.”

Smith continued, “The queen and Prince Charles must be asked for consent before our elected parliament is able to debate any legislation that affects their private interests … The “Crown” is the supreme authority in this country – not the people. The Crown has vast powers that cannot be challenged in a court of law and those powers are exercised by the queen on the instruction of our prime minister”.

The CNN article also mentioned the Queen’s ability to appoint government ministers and other public servants, as well as “the power to go to war, sign treaties and change the law through the little-understood Privy Council”.

Conspiracy theorists believe the Queen’s imperceptible wealth – the unknown element that apparently forms the bulk of her true net worth – goes hand in hand with her rarely acknowledged political powers in Britain and throughout much of the world.

According to this theory, the Queen’s overall’s wealth can essentially be compartmentalized into three separate categories: the Monarch, her visible fortune and, lastly and most importantly, her invisible fortune.

The Monarch

Much of Her Majesty’s net worth is said to be derived from the Commonwealth and includes millions of acres of Crown land and thousands of Crown companies. In Britain alone, the Monarch’s assets are colossal. On May 8, 2011, British newspaper The Telegraph reported the Crown Estate consisted of “a vast property empire dating back to the records of William the Conqueror in the Domesday Book of 1086”.

Doomsday Book

The Domesday Book is an ancient account of all the holdings of England.

The Monarch’s diverse UK assets range from Ascot Racecourse to London’s prime real estate district of Regent Street to shopping malls and industrial estates. It also owns a large percentage of Britain’s forests, farmland and estates, and the majority of Britain’s coastline, not to mention the rights to all the land’s gold and silver discoveries.

As the reigning British Monarch, the Queen is also the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, which may or may not carry financial rewards either directly or indirectly. For Christian readers this may seem to be a blasphemous statement, but consider the vast financial empire of the Vatican. Granted, the Church of England is not the Catholic Church, but it could still be enormously wealthy in its own right with centuries-old assets.

Officially speaking, the Monarch’s assets and revenues are separate to the Queen’s personal net worth. However, the two overlap and are not mutually exclusive.

Visible personal fortune

The Queen’s known fortune was initially accumulated by indulging in tax-free investing during her first 40 years on the throne. In 1992, a law change required Her Majesty to pay taxes like any other British citizen. However, that did not curtail her business activities in the slightest.

Queen Elizabeth’s empire includes hundreds of residences worldwide, including palaces and castles; there’s also yachts, race horses, fleets of Bentleysand Rolls-Royces, tens of thousands of old masterpiece paintings and other prized artworks, the world’s biggest collection of jewels, a gold carriage and billions of shares in blue chip multinational companies; Her Majesty’s investment portfolio includes large shareholdings in major companies like Rio Tinto, General Electric, British Petroleum, Royal Dutch Shell and many other multinational corporations.

The queen’s golden carriage – valued at 28 million pounds.

Now how many of the world’s so-called wealthiest do you think have these kinds of assets? And keep in mind, all this is merely her known fortune. It has been claimed by many researchers that these official assets comprise a small percentage of her overall wealth.

Kentbridge had also told the orphans it was a commonly held belief within Omega that the Queen bankrolled and reaped the rewards from other far more secretive ventures worldwide. As for the exact nature of those other ventures, nobody in the agency knew. The Orphan Factory

Invisible personal fortune

In a case of but wait there’s more, the Queen’s hidden assets are rumored to dwarf her known ones, which would likely make her the richest person on earth.

The majority of the Queen’s wealth is said to be inherited money. After all, the British Royals descend from elite European families in a centuries-old empire that reaped the spoils of Ancient Rome, the Crusades and splits in the Vatican.

King of Great Britain James I Stuart

King James 1 (1566-1625)…one of the more extravagant British Royals.

We are talking serious Old World money here. The Queen’s ancestors not only owned untold mineral resources throughout the known world, but were also instrumental in setting up the earliest banks and controlling money supplies and lending. And the British House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha – since renamed theHouse of Windsor – actively supported and profited from nefarious but extremely lucrative historical events like the opium trade in China as well as slave-trading.

Certain theorists suggest gold alone in the Royal Family’s possession is said to be worth well over a trillion pounds. If true, most of this is likely to be inherited gold.

Some investigators, journalists and even EU politicians have over the years claimed the family’s dirty business didn’t end with the Opium Wars or the trading of African slaves. They’ve suggested the House of Windsor also participates in the industries of drug trafficking, arms trading and the landmine manufacturing, using middle men or intermediaries in order to never leave any royal trace.

For example, The Guardian reported on March 30, 2012 that the candidate for the 2012 French presidential election, Jacques Cheminade, accused the Queen of amassing a drug money fortune. The article summarized Cheminade as theorizing that “Queen Elizabeth II owes her fortune to drug money”.

“There are many other sources,” the French politician was reported by The Guardian as saying, “but it’s a series of trafficking operations within which, yes, there were drugs.”

Speculation that the Queen is the richest person alive also points to the long-rumored existence of bank accounts in the name of Her Majesty in various tax havens. The plot of Roger Donaldson’s 2008 heist thriller The Bank Job, starring Jason Statham, may vaguely allude to these secret offshore bank accounts.

Primary image for The Bank Job

This true story film highlights a grand conspiracy involving MI5, elite bankers and the British Royals. Perhaps tellingly, it shows the Queen’s younger sister, Princess Margaret, in a scandalous situation in the Caribbean island nation and renowned tax haven of Trinidad and Tobago.

Some independent researchers even say the Crown technically owns the City of London, the world’s finance capital. Tied into this theory is the idea that the Windsors are senior players in the manipulation of global financial markets.

It’s also worth noting the Queen has proven herself to be a highly effective investor and is regularly advised by her close circle of elite bankers, billionaire industrialists and leading politicians. She is exposed to State secrets and other privileged information.

When Her Majesty balances Royal duties and personal investing, we wonder whether she ever finds herself veering into conflict of interest territory?

Perhaps she never worries about such matters because British laws protect the Monarchy from prosecution or even any form of investigation. The Queen is therefore completely immune to such accusations.

This point was touched on by British pioneer organic farmer and social activist Julian Rose in an article he wrote for the non-profit news site Activist Post on June 12, 2012.

“The wealthiest woman in the World,” Rose wrote, “Elizabeth Windsor owns one sixth of the land mass of our planet. A big Estate, it consists of Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom plus many more smaller ‘Commonwealth’ fiefdoms. Her Crown Estate does not attract Inheritance or Capital Gains Tax … According to Lord Halsbury in Laws of the Land ‘The sovereign can do no wrong and no laws can be brought against her’.”

When attempting to figure out the Queen’s true net worth, you must also factor in that her husband, Prince Philip, is the unofficial leader of the mysterious Club of the Isles. A cagey oligarchy of European industrialists and aristocrats, the club is rumored to preside over approximately US$10 trillion in global assets. Companies said to be associated with the Club of the Isles include Royal Dutch Shell, The Bank of England, Lloyds Bank, SmithKline Beecham, General Electric, Barclays Bank, Rio Tinto, HSBC, BHP Billiton and DeBeers.

Prince Philip…long associated with Club of the Isles.

Some claim Prince Philip’s highly secretive organization dominates the world’s oil, banking, pharmaceutical and mining industries.

Researchers who believe there is a vast reservoir of undeclared Royal assets, have estimated the Queen’s worth between US$11 trillion and US$30 trillion. Compare this to the world’s official richest person who, as at the start of 2014, was Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Forbes’ estimate of his worth was a paltry US$76 billion. Some would say that’s how much the Queen makes annually in bank interest alone.

Naylor himself claimed to have witnessed one of the Queen’s offshore bank accounts whose value was in the hundreds of billions. The Orphan Factory

“All the democracies are bankrupt now”

In an informal, but recorded chat with President Reagan aboard the royal yacht Britannia off the coast of Florida in 1991, Queen Elizabeth II said something intriguing. Responding to Reagan’s expressed desire to cut costs and scale back government, Her Majesty replied, “Well, you see, all the democracies are bankrupt now”.

That was a surprisingly opinionated socio-economic commentary for an old lady some would have us believe is out of touch with the modern world. And starting a sentence with “Well, you see” when addressing the 40th President of the United States of America seems patronizing as, indeed, does her tone throughout the entire filmed discussion. At least to our ears it does.

Immediately after informing Reagan that “all the democracies are bankrupt now,” Her Majesty added, “because of the way the services are being planned for people to grab”.

The Queen and President Reagan…like minds.

In the footage, Reagan can be seen nodding enthusiastically. No doubt he’d found a like mind in the Queen as he was notorious for keeping a tight reign on America’s purse strings during his time in office, especially with respect to social services.

Reagan’s political stance during his two terms in office had been mirrored on the other side of the Atlantic, in Britain, where British PM Margaret Thatcher drastically slashed public services and welfare for the poor.

It’s not too much of an assumption to believe the Queen’s opinions on the dangers of providing people with welfare services stems from Britain’s ugly class system. A system which for centuries dictated that the elite – including and especially the Royals – were entitled to almost everything and the commoners and the poor were left with scraps.

Judging by her comments, the Queen did not – and perhaps to this day does not – understand that welfare keeps millions afloat. It was, and is, the compassionate lifeline that civilized societies provide to assist those in genuine need. Yes, abuse of social welfare is rife, but the politics known as Thatcherism and Reaganism were not called brutal without reason.

Such comments about the lower classes by the Queen are not a one-off when it comes to the Windsors. In fact, they have sadly been echoed numerous times by the likes of the Queen’s husband Prince Philip and their son and first in line to the throne, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales.

Royal welfare benefits

The welfare benefits the Queen spoke so disparagingly of to President Reagan don’t seem to include those received a little closer to home. For the fact is, the Windsors receive their own form of welfare. It’s known as the Sovereign Grantand is paid for by the British Government.

That’s right. The Windsors’ lavish lifestyle is paid for by the British people!

However, the Government prefers to use the term “paid for by Parliament” rather than explicitly pointing out that taxpayers are the ones who foot the bill.

The Sovereign Grant, which until 2011 was known as the Civil List, amounts to multi-millions in annual handouts to the Queen and her family. This includes several million to Her Majesty annually as well as smaller but still sizeable payments to almost every other senior member of the Windsor family. A large percentage of the funds pay for salaries of Royal staff. The scheme also includes direct payments to distantly related Royals for performing official duties and attending functions.

Lots of washing up: Staff members lay the state banquet table in the ballroom of London's Buckingham Palace

Royal staffers ‘set tables’ in Buckingham Palace’s ballroom.

The Civil List dates back to 1689 when Parliament, on the accession of William and Mary, agreed to pay the Royal Family 600,000 British Pounds Sterling for Royal expenses. These were enormous sums in the 17th Century and it’s worth noting that before this date such expenses were paid almost entirely from the Monarch’s hereditary revenues.

Royal corruption in regards to the Civil List was not uncommon. For example, during his reign from 1760-1820, King George III used his annual sum of almost a million pounds sterling as a political weapon by rewarding his supporters in Parliament with under-the-table bribes and pensions.

Besides the Sovereign Grant, the British Parliament also forks out hundreds of millions more every year to preserve the Monarch. These expenses include maintenance fees for Buckingham Palace, the Royal yachts and the Royal train, airfares and other travel expenses as well as round-the-clock security. The aforementioned 2012 CNN article written by Graham Smith also mentioned the Monarchy costs British taxpayers £202 million, or approximately US$340 million, annually.

These vast sums of taxpayer money that are paid to the already flush Windsors reflect the warped priorities of the British welfare system – a system which deprives many impoverished families of all but the barest of essentials.

Of course, the grasping people Her Majesty alluded to in that informal talk with President Reagan don’t comprise the beneficiaries of the Sovereign Grant. In the Queen’s mind, a social security system for her uber-rich Royal clan is obviously much more moral and necessary than providing for the poor and those in genuine need.

Little wonder the Windsors have often been accused of being snobby elitists by the British public at large.

America’s relationship with Royalty

It has been claimed by various conspiracy theorists that all American Presidents are subservient to the House of Windsor and surreptitiously look after the interests of the British Royals. Some also claim that every US President in history – right up to and including Obama – is related by blood to the Windsors.

Whatever the case, it’s worth remembering America was founded upon a strong rebellion against Royalty and all it stood for. Hence the Founding Fathers adding that the United States was to be a nation “of the people, by the people and for the people” in the Constitution. No doubt they were mindful of the elitism of Britain where unelected families ruled the masses.

However, in recent decades many Americans seem to have become besotted by Royalty – especially since the glamorous Princess Diana and her sons Prince William and Prince Harry arrived on the scene. Not to forget William’s beautiful wife Kate Middleton and the new addition to their family.

Prince William and Kate Middleton In USA Pics| Royal Couple At BAFTA 'Brits To Watch' Event

Prince William and Kate wowed the American public.

Possibly, this infatuation has something to do with the fact that the US does not have any royals, and there’s a celebrity factor in British and European Royal Family members the American public can’t get enough of.

Yet, conversely, millions of the working class people in Britain either dislike or are indifferent to the Royals.

That has always been the way in Britain where the Royals are generally loved by the upper and middle classes, but often despised by the lower classes who claim the Royal Family’s sadly out of touch with them. This phenomenon could be seen whenever Queen Elizabeth’s great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, appeared in London in the 19th Century. The crowds would boo and shout insults at her. Historians believe this is one of the reasons Victoria fled to Balmoral, the Royals’ country estate in Scotland.

Helen Mirren's primary photo

Actress Helen Mirren no fan of the Royals.

English actress Dame Helen Mirren, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in the 2006 international box office hit The Queen, probably best summed up the Royals from the British public’s perspective. In an interview given on the eve of the release of The Queen, Mirren had the following to say: “I still loathe the British class system, and the Royal family are the apex of the British class system. It’s a system that I absolutely hate.”

Princess Diana’s butler

At Buckingham Palace in December 1997, Princess Diana’s butler Paul Burrell requested a meeting with the Queen. Burrell believed he’d found evidence of a possible conspiracy surrounding his former employer’s recent death and wanted to inform Her Majesty.

Paul Burrell Diana s former butler

Paul Burrell suspected a conspiracy surrounding Princess Diana’s death.

The following year, at a London Inquest into Diana’s death, Burrell stated that the Queen had warned him to “be careful” during their meeting of the year before. Burrell said the Queen had told him, “There are powers at work in this country of which we have no knowledge.”

Who those mysterious powers were, the Queen apparently did not elaborate. The former butler said he had no idea what Her Majesty was referring to, but he agreed to back off the case nevertheless.

Perhaps the faceless people the Queen eluded to confirms her standing at or near the zenith of the global elite, and perhaps she’s part of the “powers at work” that she referred to. If so, Her Majesty would obviously never reveal this to such a lowly person as Princess Diana’s butler.

Princess Diana…the speculaton continues.

At the end of the day, the Queen’s true wealth is probably too vast, complex and hidden for any outsider to ever accurately calculate. Therefore, her true net wealth, and that of her descendants, will probably forever remain a conspiracy theory.

And, of course, we could be totally wrong about everything we’ve written about the Queen and the British Royals. In which case it would probably be best you accept that invitation to Buckingham Palace…

If you do, please write to us and let us know what it was like to meet the Royal Family because we are pretty sure our own ship has sailed in that regard – especially now that this book has been published!

Suppressed science

Prometheus

In January 2014, it was reported by The New York Times and other mainstream media outlets that America’s National Security Agency (NSA) uses secret technology to remotely input and alter data on computers worldwide – even when targeted PC’s or laptops are not connected to the Internet. This suppressed technology, which uses radio frequencies to spy on computers, only came to the public’s attention due to leaked NSA documents from former agency contractor-turned whistleblower Edward Snowden.

This begs the question: Is it a regular occurrence for governments, intelligence agencies and the military to withhold scientific breakthroughs from the public?

If so, how many other suppressed inventions exist in the world’s ironclad vaults of power?

And what if most of the technologies readers and cinemagoers are presented with in bestselling books and blockbuster movies are not science fiction, but science fact? What if they currently exist on the planet, but are suppressed from the masses?

They all wore neuromagnetic helmets. These would stay on their heads until morning. The orphans understood the device they wore was an example of the almost infinite number of scientific breakthroughs made by the military and secret organizations – breakthroughs the public were never privy to.The Orphan Factory

Imagine for a moment a reality where all the technologies that futurists have predicted have already been invented and are currently being used by a privileged few.

There have been numerous reports of scientific inventions that never saw the light of day even though they were perfected and ready to go on the market. Rumors of these radical inventions date back to the post-Industrial Revolution period in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, and have persisted right up to and including the present day.

Were a documentary film ever to be produced based on the conspiratorial history of suppressed technologies, the individuals featured would include everyone from inventors who either suddenly died, went missing or faded into obscurity, to tech investors who were mysteriously thwarted to scientists who lost their patents without receiving any valid explanation.

A covert civilization

If such technologies do exist, that would likely confirm there is a Splinter Civilization that secretly and autonomously resides on our planet right now. Such a group’s membership would probably be a combination of high-ranking military personnel, senior intelligence agents as well as shadowy government figures and many of the global elite already named or alluded to in previous chapters. Although all citizens of various nations and speaking different languages, they would be united by the common goal of attaining mass power, or a New World Order.

Obama - New World Order - Bilderberg

Is the New World Order already here?

Because of its almost infinite sources of funding – mostly derived from black ops appropriations – this Splinter Civilization would have in its possession technologies that would make a layman’s mind boggle. The covert civilization would use inconceivable, stealth-like weaponry to wage quiet wars on vulnerable nations. Such weaponry could even facilitate alteration of the weather and the creation of so-called acts of nature.

And of course, contractors commissioned by faceless middlemen employed by the shadowy members of this splinter group would, one way or another, silence any investigative reporters or citizen journalists who come close to uncovering evidence of its existence.

Sounds like a theory we should reserve for one of our future movies or novels?

You’d be right, except for one important point. Many of these suppressed technologies have been reported by former engineers and other employees of the Military Industrial Complex. And the list of whistleblowers is an extensive and impressive one that dates back decades.

Based on the reports of those same whistleblowers, it appears suppression of scientific technologies is done for various reasons. Sometimes it’s about governments wanting to achieve or maintain superior military might. Other times it’s for financial reasons.

Few would deny it’s in the interests of corporations that financially benefit from current technologies to block newer, more advanced technologies ever reaching the marketplace. Though immoral, that would make good business sense as it’s an unwritten rule that corporations squash competitors and quash competition.

In the course of writing The Orphan Trilogy, we researched numerous scientific inventions rumored to exist somewhere in the world right now. Covering the entire history of suppressed science would require a whole book rather than this single chapter. Therefore, we will focus only on several rumored technologies, albeit ones that potentially hold great significance for humanity.

Most secret technologies are rumored to be based on the works of the brilliant Croatian-born Serbian-American scientist Nikola Tesla (1856-1943). An inventor, physicist and electrical engineer, he is surely history’s most underrated scientist. In fact, when researching suppressed science, it often seems as if all roads lead back to the man who was nicknamed the Electric Magician. To attempt to verify the Splinter Civilization’s existence and ultimately understand its nature, we all must first comprehend what Tesla achieved in his eventful lifetime, including his tragic last few years.

Nikola Tesla…aka the Electric Magician.

In terms of official science, he is probably best known for designing the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system as well as his theoretical work used in the invention of radio communication. He’s also referred to by many as the godfather of wireless technology, having first demonstrated wireless energy transmission in 1891.

After migrating to the US, Tesla worked for light bulb inventor Thomas Edison and fellow inventor George Westinghouse before branching out on his own. He began conducting more radical experiments involving remote-controlled devices, artificial lightning and thunder, early X-Ray testing, robotics, electric cars and lasers, and he even investigated whether it was possible to collect vast amounts of energy from the earth’s atmosphere.

As revolutionary as Tesla’s known inventions and experiments sound, it’s his long-rumored suppressed inventions that have spawned countless conspiracy theories. Claims surrounding him include everything from perfecting free-energy technologies to being responsible for the mysterious 1908 Tunguska explosion in Siberia.

Tesla’s high-frequency power experiments are also said to be the scientific foundations of HAARP, a controversial military-funded research program. (Read more on HAARP later in this chapter).

During his later years, between the First and Second World Wars, Tesla worked on a directed-energy weapon (DEW) he called a teleforce gun. 21st Century researchers now refer to this device as the Tesla Death Ray. Many believe it was stolen and used by the military; and many believe it remains in use today – possibly in a more advanced form.

The Tesla Death Ray…stolen?

As per one of his theses currently stored in the Nikola Tesla Museum, in Belgrade, Serbia, the inventor described his DEW device as being a “superweapon that would put an end to all war.” He also said it could stop fleets of airplanes and entire armies dead in their tracks.

Tesla claimed he was spied on by the US War Department as well as agencies of the Soviet Union and various European nations as a result of this fantastical invention. Decades later, Tesla’s Death Ray and other works were referenced in a weapon patent taken out by Columbia Universty and MIT-educated physicist Dr. Bernard Eastlund.

As much of Tesla’s material is no longer available to the public, it’s impossible to prove or disprove his most radical science. Certainly his overall career is barely studied at learning institutions today and he is not held in the same high regard as scientists like Newton or Einstein. This despite Tesla obtaining approximately 300 patents worldwide for his inventions of such diverse things as alternating current generators, fluorescent lights, exotic power systems and even flying machines.

Whatever the case, there’s enough evidence to conclude Tesla was hounded by the energy power brokers – Edison and American financier J.P. Morgan in particular – of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. These figures recognized Tesla’s technologies as a serious threat to their financial empires and, in Edison’s case, to his scientific legacy as well.

When Tesla died in 1943, the US Government confiscated all his research material and immediately classified much of it. However, in recent years, through the Freedom of Information Act, some of that research has been declassified, leading to a resurgence of interest in Tesla.

Various independent investigators and freelance scientists claim they can identify irrefutable connections between Tesla’s inventions and the most advanced technologies used by the military today.

“As an eminent pioneer in the realm of high frequency currents… I congratulate you on the great successes of your life’s work.” –Albert Einstein, from a letter to Tesla for his 75th birthday in 1931.

Free energy ain’t free, baby!

As mentioned, there can be numerous reasons for suppressing inventions or discoveries. But financial gain is likely to be top of the heap. And few scientific breakthroughs could bankrupt large corporations like free-energy technologies would.

The Quest to Free Up Free Energy | In5D.comIn a nutshell, this conspiracy theory suggests technologies have already been invented to provide for all the world’s energy needs for free. Some of these suppressed inventions are apparently capable of generating their own power seemingly out of nothing. Quantum vacuum zero point energy is one example. Other devices are said to have the ability to extract energy from pre-existing reservoirs in nature.

Perpetual energy is a viable technology conspiracy theorists tell us, but unfortunately, it seems, there’s also a perpetual war against it. For as long as energy companies exist, they will never allow such inventions to reach the public. After all, these technologies would decimate the oil, gas, electricity, nuclear and automobile industries overnight.

This theory asserts that by propagating the lie that expensive energy systems are the only options available, big corporations are able to control one of the planet’s most lucrative fields.

Electrical engineer Thomas Henry Moray (1892-1974) claimed to have developed a working device for extracting free electricity from what he termed radiant energy waves of the atmosphere. He called his invention the Moray Valve and stated it was an effective extractor of an inexhaustible energy source. The scientific establishment immediately dismissed the device as a hoax. However, Moray claimed he received death threats and was even shot at in an effort to prevent his free-energy technology ever seeing the light of day.

Dr. Eugene Mallove was an MIT and Harvard-educated scientist, cold fusion advocate and publisher/editor of Infinite Energy magazine. He also founded the New Energy Foundation. Mallove’s 1991 book Fire from Ice: Searching for the Truth Behind the Cold Fusion Furor outlined the science he believe proved the existence of cold fusion, a hypothetical free energy source derived from nuclear reactions. In particular, the book detailed a controversial experiment conducted in the late 1980’s by one of the world’s eminent electrochemists, Martin Fleischmann, and his partner Stanley Pons. Mallove believed the pair had invented an apparatus that successfully replicated cold fusion on several occasions.

Product Details

Fire from Ice asserts that the results of the experiment and the apparatus had been suppressed. As a result, Mallove was ridiculed by mainstream physicists and lost his credibility in scientific circles. In 2004, he was killed at one of his residences in Connecticut. A decade of court proceedings followed in a complex murder trial that finally wrapped up late 2013. The judge ruled his death the result of a botched robbery. Cold fusion devotees however, claimed Mallove’s death was all part of a conspiracy to silence him and bury cold fusion technologies.

Interrelated with free-energy are theories that very cheap energy is also possible. Dirt cheap, in fact. For example, there are various conspiracies dating back to the 1920’s surrounding light bulb technology. Some investigators believe that leading corporations suppressed long-lasting light bulbs, forcing customers to regularly replace bulbs.

In 1972, Texan bulldozer-driver Richard Clem claimed to have invented a vegetable-oil turbine capable of traveling 115,000 miles on only eight gallons of chip fat. Ford Motors immediately threatened to sue Clem for installing his engine in his Ford Falcon.

Richard Clem tops up a car’s engine with Crisco vegetable-oil fuel in 1972.

As he attracted more press coverage for his invention, Clem reported he’d received death threats. He refused to yield to pressure and vowed to get his prototype engine out into the world. However, Clem died of a heart attack shortly thereafter. His family believe he was murdered.

In the 1990’s, reports began to surface in Japan that an engineer had developed a magnetic motor engine that powered itself. The inventor’s name was Teruo Kawai and he reportedly had his device verified as workable by Hitachi engineers. However, Kawai claims Yakuza gangsters then threatened him and his associates, forcing them to relinquish the technology.

This brings us back to Nikola Tesla. As stated earlier in this chapter, many investigators have suggested he invented and perfected radical energy devices that could have provided free-energy to the entire world. These investigators also say the world’s ongoing energy crisis is a total fabrication and that the problem was actually solved a century ago by Tesla.

Judging by the man’s character at least, creating a non-profit energy device doesn’t seem out of the question as Tesla was known to be a pure scientist disinterested in financial matters. Besides raising enough cash to fund his ambitious experiments, he had no record of chasing or making profits. By all accounts, he cared more about the world at large and wanted to use his scientific genius to benefit humanity. In fact, everything he did had some element of a social cause about it. As Tesla once wrote, “The desire that guides me in all I do is the desire to harness the forces of nature to the service of mankind.”

In the early 1900’s, American industrialist J.P. Morgan financed Tesla to construct a tower that would transmit wireless communications across the Atlantic. This experimentinvolved research into the Earth’s ionosphere at a facility called Wardenclyffe, in Shoreham, New York. It entailed using the Wardenclyffe tower to employ naturally occurring frequencies to transmit data like voice messages, images and text. However, the experiments took Tesla in unexpected directions and many researchers believe he discovered and then harnessed a free, universal supply of energy from the ionosphere.

The inventor had apparently not only found a way to extract electricity, but also to rebroadcast this electricity wirelessly to neighboring towns. Besides being free, he deemed it to be a safe, renewable and clean form of electricity.

Tesla’s mission suddenly shifted and he became obsessed with perfecting this newfound free-energy technology. His goal was to get it out to the world to empower individuals everywhere.

The Electric Magician expected J.P. Morgan would share his desire to assist Mankind with this incredible scientific discovery. He was grossly mistaken.

When J.P. Morgan was informed of Wardenclyffe’s potential to harness an almost limitless amount of energy and freely broadcast it to anyone in the world, he realized it would damage his own electricity empire. As a result, the industrialist instantly terminated all of Tesla’s funding. This effectively shut down the project as Tesla had lost his primary funder.

“Humanity is not yet sufficiently advanced to be willingly led by the discoverer’s keen searching sense. But who knows? Perhaps it is better in this present world of ours that a revolutionary idea or invention instead of being helped and patted, be hampered and ill-treated in its adolescence – by want of means, by selfish interest, pedantry, stupidity and ignorance; that it be attacked and stifled; that it pass through bitter trials and tribulations, through the strife of commercial existence. So do we get our light. So all that was great in the past was ridiculed, condemned, combated, suppressed – only to emerge all the more powerfully, all the more triumphantly from the struggle.” –Nikola Tesla

The saga of the electric car

Believe it or not, electric and hybrid technologies for motor vehicles have existed since the early to mid-19th Century. Hungarian engineer and priest Ányos Jedlik has been attributed by many as designing the first electric motor in 1828. Jedlik invented a small model car that was powered by his motor.

However, the world’s first recognized electric motorized vehicle, a locomotive that used electromagnets and a battery, was constructed by American inventor Thomas Davenport, in Vermont, in 1835. Around this same period, other inventors built basic electric vehicles and demonstrated them in public all over the world.

By the 1880’s, the first practical electric cars were invented. European governments, including those of France and the UK, agreed to provide support and infrastructure to the electric car market. This enabled early automobile manufacturers to mass produce such vehicles.Soon, electric cars were being driven by consumers Europe-wide.

By the 1890’s, electric vehicles hit the US market and proved to be very popular with American motor enthusiasts. In New York City, in 1897, a fleet of electric, battery-powered taxi cabs took New Yorkers around the city’s streets. The cabs were nicknamed hummingbirds because of the eerie humming sound they made.

In 1899, a Belgian-built, futuristic, rocket-shaped electric racing car called La Jamais Contente set a world record for land speed, traveling at 66 miles per hour. The vehicle remains on display at an automobile museum in Compiègne, France.

Ferdinand Porsche’s electric car…launched in 1900.

By the early 20th Century, electric cars were becoming even more popular than gasoline-powered cars. For example, of all the automobiles in New York, Boston and Chicago in 1900, one third of them were fully electric while less than one fifth were powered by gasoline – the remainder being steam-powered.

So what the hell happened to the electric car? we hear you ask.

It’s a valid question, for how can we have landed on the Moon in the intervening century or so that has elapsed since electric cars first become popular, and yet not have fully mastered this comparatively basic technology?

And speaking of the Moon, the first manned vehicle to drive on its surface was ironically an electric vehicle, the Lunar Rover, which was originally used in 1971 during the Apollo 15 mission.

Conventional wisdom says battery life and vehicle speeds are the problems that prevent electric cars being more widely sold. Conversely, many independent investigators have suggested electric cars were, and continue to be, quashed by bigger entities for monetary reasons.

If the electric car is another example of suppressed technology then oil corporations are the obvious culprits. After all, oil companies are known to purchase nearly all patents on proven efficient battery technology. Many argue this is to guarantee motor vehicle owners remain dependent on oil.

Besides the oil industry, other potential collaborators in this conspiracy include the US Government and its military – both of whom are commonly acknowledged to have major interests in the oil business. It’s conceivable they could have conspired to kill off electric cars or any other technology that avoids continued dependency on gasoline. Even more so when you consider war is big business and oil fuels – both figuratively and literally – many a war. This would probably hold true for the governments and military regimes of Britain, Russia and many other nations.

The conspiracy theory of bigger players crushing electric car inventions gained mainstream awareness in 2006 with the theatrical release of Sony’s documentary film Who Killed the Electric Car? It was notably produced by Hollywood producer/screenwriter Dean Devlin, who has a history of making conspiracy-themed films such as Independence Day, Universal Soldier and Stargate. Interviewees and apparent believers in the film’s explicit suppression theory included Martin Sheen, Mel Gibson and Ralph Nader.

Who Killed the Electric Car? chronicles the release and eventual destruction of General Motors’ EV1, a battery electric vehicle that was tested on the market in the mid-1990’s. The film rather convincingly argues that the oil industry, in collusion with automobile manufacturers and the US government, prevented the mass public from being given a chance to purchase the EV1.

Nikola Tesla claimed to have invented a highly efficient electric motor that contained rotating magnetic fields. Like most of Tesla’s more radical inventions, his version of an electric car was never made available to the public. However, his discovery of the rotating magnetic field was eventually utilized for various modern electromechanical technologies such as generators and induction motors.

Twenty-first Century Silicon Valley start-up Tesla Motors is one of the more innovative companies producing electric cars. Their name, as you may have guessed, highlights the ongoing influence of Nikola Tesla’s works. One of the latest model Tesla cars, the Model S, is equipped with a 300-mile range battery pack, potentially silencing the argument once and for all that electric vehicles have limited range due to battery life.

Tesla Model S burgondy

The Tesla Model S electric car gets thumbs up from motoring critics.

Although manufacturing very fast and reliable vehicles, Tesla Motors tends to produce premium vehicles with higher purchase prices than the average gasoline-run car. Unfortunately, this discounts much of the mainstream public from buying them, although the company is certainly worth keeping an eye on. With expected economies of scale, the prices of Tesla Motors’ vehicles are likely to become more affordable in time. If they don’t, be warned that will give rise to yet another conspiracy theory!

So, after roughly 180 years of this technology, the electric car surprisingly remains a niche automobile on the road today. However, in the last few years there has at least been a global resurgence of interest in electric cars. This revival has been primarily fueled (excuse our pun) by a few forward-thinking governments, celebrities and environmental organizations – not to mention customer demand.

Filmmaker Chris Paine, who directed Who Killed the Electric Car?, released a new documentary entitled Revenge of the Electric Car.

This updated story of one of the most environmentally friendly vehicle technologies appropriately premiered on Earth Day, April 22, 2011 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

On January 5, 2014, National Geographic ran an article on its daily news website reporting that the world’s first fully electric Formula racing championship series will soon be launched. The event, known as the FIA Formula E Championship, will take place in 10 cities including Berlin, Miami, Beijing, Monte Carlo, Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro. Virgin Group founder and long-time environmentalist Sir Richard Branson, as well as electric car enthusiast and film star Leonardo DiCaprio are among a host of big names who have already been announced as taking part in the event.

Could the world finally be ready to embrace the electric car and make it the dominant vehicle on the planet?

Whether they are altering the weather

Near the Arctic Circle, 200 miles north-east of Alaska’s capital Anchorage, exists the site for the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program – better known by its acronym, HAARP.

This controversial ionospheric research program, which officially speaking is not an intelligence or military program, has been shrouded in mystery since its inception. Little wonder HAARP has been the subject of ongoing heated debate in both mainstream and alternative media outlets.

Managed by the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Office of Naval Research, the program also receives scientific input from renowned academic learning institutions such as Stanford, MIT and UCLA.According to the US Government, HAARP is nothing but a field of antennae in remote Alaska constructed to improve telephone communications and monitor the ionosphere. Supposedly it’s just a little research project, yet it has cost American taxpayers over a quarter of a billion dollars and counting. But hey, who’s counting?

The fact that HAARP is being so heavily sponsored by the likes of the US Department of Defense, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the US Navy and Air Force, does not seem to reflect the Pentagon’s line that it’s a research program and nothing more. And why are many of America’s top scientists and engineers also involved?

Critics of HAARP include Native Americans, Alaskan residents and neighboring Canadians, environmentalists, a small, but vocal group of scientists and engineers, and naturally, conspiracy buffs. The latter theorize HAARP is everything from a weather manipulation device to a broadcaster of mind-control frequencies to a weapon of mass destruction capable of creating hurricanes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Nobody seems to know for sure. What else is new in this book?

Is there any truth behind all the wild theories surrounding HAARP? To find out, you probably need to consider the past – and as we previously warned, all roads in the world of suppressed science lead back to Nikola Tesla.

The Alaskan site certainly has shades of Tesla’s early 20th Century Wardenclyffe facility in New York State. And that’s not where the connections to the Electric Magician end. Many say HAARP is a continuation of Tesla’s technologies and discoveries. After all, HAARP’s official purpose is to study the ionosphere, and nobody studied the ionosphere more than Tesla did.

As mentioned earlier, Tesla’s Death Ray invention was referenced in a weapon patent taken out by Dr. Bernard Eastlund (1938-2007). The Texan physicist took out three US patents many believe were used to construct HAARP.

Even though the US Government denies any connection, numerous researchers concur that the Texan physicist’s designs were nearly identical to the Alaskan facility. In particular US Patent #4,686,605. In this patent, Eastlund describes a weapon that could alter the ionosphere, transmit electromagnetic radiation, modify the weather, knock out power grids, bring down airplanes and eavesdrop on, or destroy, communications of foreign enemies.

In what may be the smoking gun, the US patent for Eastlund’s invention is now owned by ARCO Power Technologies Inc., which is a sub-company of ARCO-Atlantic Richfield, a defense company hired by the Pentagon to build HAARP.

Admittedly, that’s all circumstantial evidence and it could be entirely coincidental. Then again, HAARP has almost as many coincidences flying around it as does the theory that Oswald alone killed JFK, which by the way does anyone still actually believe? Either HAARP naturally attracts controversy, or there’s a monumental cover-up going on as to the true nature of this ‘ionospheric research program’.

Haarp conspiracy

Weather manipulation accusations dog HAARP.

Manipulating the weather sounds a bit far out, doesn’t it? But consider that weather modification technologies were officially banned by the United Nations in the 1970’s. For the UN to go to that trouble four decades ago, you could reasonably assume the concept of inflicting category five hurricanes or famines on enemies by altering the weather was close to becoming a scientific possibility. Or, who knows, maybe such technologies already secretly existed.

An intriguing 1996 US Air Force paper titled Weather as a Force Mutliplier: Owning the Weather in 2025 detailed the military’s attempts to turn the weather into a weapon by learning how to control it. Another document, delivered at the 1997 Intersociety Energy Conversion Engineering Conference, stated that “The effects of HAARP on the weather are completely unknown”. It went on to make the point that “heating the jet stream over Alaska could have profound results on the weather in Denver or Miami”.

A year later, in 1998, the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Relations, Security and Defence Policy demanded an independent tribunal investigate the “legal, ecological and ethical implications” of the “global concern” that is HAARP. The US didn’t play ball and no such investigation ever eventuated.

According to some, HAARP can cause blackouts of entire regions. The technology was believed to be responsible for the extensive power cuts that hit US states and Canadian provinces in August 2003, leaving around 50 million people without power in major cities including New York, Toronto, Ottawa and Detroit. Adding substance to this theory is the University of Tokyo’s recording of a HAARP test-firing only 11 minutes before the blackout occurred.

If theorists are to be believed, HAARP’s bad karma gets worse. A lot worse.

Theories abound surrounding HAARP’s possible responsibility for Hurricane Katrina’s assault on New Orleans in 2005. On one conspiracy theory website, abovetopsecret.com, there was a chart illustrating extreme and supposedly unnatural fluctuations in the Earth’s atmosphere during the days of August 24 and 25, which was precisely when Katrina was forming. Above Top Secret forum members claimed such fluctuations could only be caused by HAARP.

Other disasters that theorists have blamed on HAARP include the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, the Haiti earthquake in 2010 and the Pakistan floods of the same year, the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and the ensuing Fukushima nuclear disaster, as well as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines in 2013.

Smoke rises from Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power complex in this still image from video footage

Fukushima nuclear disaster just one of many disasters blamed on HAARP.

If HAARP is behind any of these catastrophes then the aforementioned Splinter Civilization has a massive amount of blood on its hands. The combined death toll of all these events is in the millions and many, many more were left injured or homeless.

Counting against this mega conspiracy theory, however, is the fact that HAARP is relatively transparent. Its program is unclassified, documents relating to its environmental impact are in the public domain and it has an open day for the general public twice a year. Hell, you can even call the facility at Gakona, Alaska, and what’s more somebody will answer your call! In case you’ve gotten a sudden case of HAARPitis, here’s their phone number: (907) 822 5497.

Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure: HAARP ain’t the little high school science experiment the US Government would have the world believe it is.

“Nikola Tesla is proof that real greatness surpasses national borders and differences.” –US President George W. Bush in a message to then President of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić. As quoted in “Nikola Tesla’s anniversary and ancestry” in The New Generation on December 24, 2006.

Assuming it is true that certain scientific breakthroughs are kept from the masses by some kind of Splinter Civilization, it’s our belief that nothing is more important than releasing details of these inventions. If used for good works, such technologies would have the potential to eradicate poverty in Third World nations and increase living standards throughout the rest of the world.

Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade Website

The Tesla Memorial Society of New Work’s website is worth a visit.

Tesla’s inventions and ideas in particular should be declassified so that the scientific community can study his work in its entirety – something it has never been able to do. This step may be a necessary one if our society is ever to evolve beyond scarcity and corporatocracy, and move toward total sustainability.

But, hey, we ain’t scientists, so you probably shouldn’t be listening to us. All the technologies we wrote about in our trilogy may have been based on nothing other than fabrications by mad inventors. For all we know, the inventors mentioned in this chapter may have been nothing more than disgruntled scientists, frustrated that they could never quite nail their inventions.

So maybe it’s best you keep on assuming that latest-model smart phone or tablet you’re holding really is ‘cutting edge’ technology.
