At the time of writing this review, this book is ranked at #1 in two categories on Amazon – and deservedly so! The 40 super quick salad recipes outlined make for super easy preparation. They make for super easy reading and comprehension, too: clear step-by-step instructions include concise lists of ingredients and measurements accompanied by interesting nutritional facts.

If you were born in the ’20′s, 30′s of even 40′s you know that the country in which we were brought up no longer exists. We should have learned our lesson from the findings of the Vietnam war, but we were hyped up again by our leaders by constant warnings about Iraq’s “Weapons of Mass Destruction.” George W. Bush stole a presidential election (with the help of the Supreme Court) and proceeded to trample the Constitution. ‘Fiji’ makes Top 10 list of Books to Read While Traveling

Our historical adventure Fiji: A Novel (The World Duology, #2) has made one of TravelersToday.com’s lists of ‘Top 10 Books to Read While Traveling,’ keeping company with novels by the likes of Dan Brown and Stieg Larsson.

The list concerned is ‘Location and history-based books for travelers.’

Writing for Travelers Today, columnist Althea Serad says:

“ Books to read while traveling is not considered most searched or much of a concern for many when it comes to trips. After all, it is the destination travelers are after during a journey. However, the type of books to read while traveling can determine the amount of enjoyment a traveler’s experiences during a long haul ride.

Conspiracy Lovers Dream

I’m not sure how to put this, but this book is one that might scare the pants off of you. You’re immediately hit with the depth of research, facts that on their own might not have amounted to much, but before long any skepticism you have starts to fade away and you’re left with the sinking feeling that there are secret forces operating with extensive control throughout the world.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll find the theories covered here perfect for social chatter and you’ll be recommending the book all over. Just one point of caution. Don’t spill everything you’ve learned. If they think you know too much, that’s when the vans will come for you.   

 

‘Cloud’ appears to have gotten what we set out to achieve when we penned this book, which, incidentally, is our first non-fiction book. As we say in the book’s Introduction:

Our mission in writing this book is twofold: to expose the global agenda designed to keep the power in the hands of a select few (the top 1%) and to empower the masses with essential knowledge that’s been withheld from them until now.   

From what we’ve observed, nearly all other conspiracy theory books have either been by established conspiracy theory authors and written almost exclusively for like-minded people, or they’ve been penned by academic-types with a high-brow intellectualism that only other academics can decipher.  

This book, on the other hand, is written for the lower classes and the homeless, the outcasts and the marginalized, the abused and the victimized, the unpaid and the underpaid, the overworked and the out-of-work, the refugees and the poor, the uneducated and the undereducated, the forgotten and the lonely, the misunderstood and all the other underdogs of society who together, collectively, form the majority – or the 99%, if you will.

Thrilling suspense!!

The Ninth Orphan is a fast paced action thriller which will keep you on the edge of your seat as you delve deep into the world of the Omega organization, its infiltration within the CIA, and the story of Orphan number Nine.

Sebastian, or Nine (as he is known), has had a traumatic childhood and is struggling to start a new life, away from the danger and secrecy of the spy agency which raised him, and many others, to become skilled assassins. Nine is a master of disguises, but his former employees are as sharp as him and they cannot allow him to leave, owing to the information he carries.

Will they be able to catch him before he disappears? What will be his fate?

The author has written an engaging thriller, but there is also a very touching emotional element within the story – The relationship between Nine and Isabella, and the craving he feels to be known and loved. I guess, that is something that we all go through at some point of time and this definitely makes the tale more realistic and believable.

A fine read. Recommended!

THE BACHELOR PARTY – by Ron Hummer

The author warns in the Prologue “there is a lot to be concerned about when it comes to non-compete agreements” (where one party agrees not to enter into or begin a similar trade or profession in competition with another party) – and by the time you finish reading this book you realize he’s right: in THE BACHELOR PARTY author Ron Hummer exposes a widespread, present-day problem in a very believable albeit fictional setting.

Well researched and very well written. This is a superior mystery-thriller guaranteed to please the most discerning reader.    -Lance
