58 per cent believe 9/11 was an ‘inside job’ according to poll

Provisional results of our latest (continuing) poll show that 58% of those polled to date believe 9/11 was an ‘inside job’.

9/11 Pictures

The poll, which ends October 24 PST, asks one simple but contentious question: Do you believe 9/11 was an inside job? The question refers of course to those persistent conspiracy theories that the September 11 attacks should be attributed to the US Government (or agencies of) and not to terrorists.

This interim result would seem to reflect the belief of many (Americans especially) that the September 11 attacks – including the “controlled collapse” of New York’s Twin Towers and 7 World trade Center – were orchestrated by US officialdom to provide a ‘false flag’ justification for invading Afghanistan and Iraq.

9/11 Pictures

Predictably, the poll, which is running in our Goodreads.com discussion group 29 Conspiracy Theories, is generating some heated discussion.

Your opinion is welcome…so feel free to register your opinion and contribute to the discussion in the Poll thread in our Goodreads discussion group at: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/109642-do-you-believe-9-11-was-an-inside-job

Meanwhile, here’s some of the comments received to date (names redacted):

I’m totally shocked there are still people out here who actually still believe the government’s story!

.

Inside job as someone in our own Government did this? If that is what this quiz is about then hell no.

.

Charlie Sheen has by his own admission fried his brain with more drugs than he can probably recall and even he knows the official 9/11 story wouldn’t pass for a bad B-movie script: “It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box-cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75 percent of their targets, that feels like a conspiracy theory.” -Charlie Sheen

.

I think yes….only because it was an anniversary to something…and they were using that as justification for this attack. Very sad that people have been reduced to this type of behavior.

.

The official story is a joke and has more holes in it than a Swiss cheese. Now does that mean it was an Inside Job? Not necessarily. But it sure doesn’t bode well. Anyone who researches 9/11 soon realizes that while there’s no smoking gun, there’s a plethora of anomalies like building 7 and Dick Cheney’s “stand down” orders to his minions which is on-the-record to name only two.

.

My personal un-provable belief is that, at some level, the US knew this was coming. They calculated the benefits that could be extracted by the rulers under every scenario they could imagine, and this was the result; a perennial war feeding the war machine; a law to strike fear in the heart of every free man; a depleted US Treasury contributing to the economic demise of the population; a logical attempt at a total takeover.

.

It seems so convenient for those who wanted a “Patriot Act” and provide the excuse to fund the war machine for this to have happened. The tapes of the firefighters indicated that they were hearing continued explosions. These tapes are now “confidential.”

.

If you simply have faith in your country and government and media that they tell you the truth, then of course you’ll believe 9/11 was the whole known Bin Laden/Al Queada story.

.

Man, there’s just SO much evidence out there, I don’t know where to begin: the Bin Laden families being flown out of no-go air space the day after. The U.S/Saudi connection. The fact that Building Seven came down without reason, and is most definitely a demolition job, as was the towers themselves- supported by well over two thousand actual architects (see link). The fact that Bin Laden was trained by the CIA. The false excuse for invading Iraq which had nothing to do with Al Queada at that time. The video footage of Bush being told America was under attack, whilst he just nodded and carried on reading a nursery story about a goat…

Reminder: Our poll “Do you believe 9/11 was an inside job?” closes October 24 PST. Your opinion is welcome. Go to: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/109642-do-you-believe-9-11-was-an-inside-job

Did we land on the Moon in 1969? The verdict’s in!

Those who feared the naysayers were right and Man never landed on the Moon in 1969 can relax: the results of our poll are in and, if the majority are right, Man did, indeed, land on the Moon in 1969.

alt

The poll was a lighthearted attempt to encourage discussion among the members of our new group on Goodreads.com. “29 Conspiracy Theories – A discussion group” was established to promote discussion on the controversial topics explored in our book, The Orphan Conspiracies: 29 Conspiracy Theories from The Orphan Trilogy.

Our poll simply asked the question: Did we land on the Moon in 1969?

According the majority of our members, we did! Hallelujah, we can hear NASA enthusiasts rejoice.

However, it was a slim majority and this poll ended up a little closer than expected…

54.1% of those polled say we did land on the Moon.

31.1% say we did not.

14.8% are ‘undecided’.

photo_us-12.jpeg

This Moon poll roughly reflects most mainstream polls conducted by the media which regularly show that 25-30% of Americans believe the 1969 Moon landings never happened. That makes the Moon landing hoax theory – after the JFK non-Oswald assassination theory, Princess Diana murder theory and the 9/11 inside job theory – to be one of the most commonly believed conspiracy theories of all.

Actually, now that we do the math we note this group’s results are a little higher than the usual 25-30% average, but hey this is a conspiracy theory group after all and we will know doubt attract a few tinfoil hat wearers and/or mental asylum residents (ourselves included, truth be told).

Here’s a few randomly selected comments from our poll (names withheld):

It’s often been claimed that Stanley Kubrick ‘directed’ the fake moon landing. There’s some very interesting stuff about this in the documentary that explores hidden meanings in his film The Shining: the film Room 237. Such things as the boy Danny’s sweater featuring the Apollo rocket are seen as Kubrick’s ‘admission’ of his involvement with it.

The full documentary is available on YouTube (in the U.K at least). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y18Nl…

.

It was real. Come on people. A government conspiracy? Some of you must be off of your medication.

.

As President Bill Clinton wrote the following in his 2004 autobiography, My Life: “Just a month before, Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong had left their colleague, Michael Collins, aboard spaceship Columbia and walked on the moon…The old carpenter asked me if I really believed it happened. I said sure, I saw it on television. He disagreed; he said that he didn’t believe it for a minute, that ‘them television fellers’ could make things look real that weren’t. Back then, I thought he was a crank. During my eight years in Washington, I saw some things on TV that made me wonder if he wasn’t ahead of his time.”

.

According to all the film on the event, it would have been a very elaborate set to pull off complete with the visual of the earth and solar system in the backdrop during a time when technology had not progressed to the point of creating the kinds of special effects that we have today. I was alive and well during this time and the ‘Race for Space’ was a very real and viable project during this time instituted between our government and Russia …. we won.

.

I’m one out of my generation 1960’s that believe it was all fabricated y done on a movie set to gain whatever agenda they needed to get done. If we made it with hardly no technology in the 60’s it should be like going on vacation now in the technical age of wonders. Just a thought.

.

The thing I never understood about the fake moon landing theory is that the motives that are always given are to do with the U.S wanting to win the space race against Russia. What I don’t get is that surely Russia would have been able to track and verify Apollo, so doesn’t that debunk that theory? However, there’s plenty of good, rational evidence that we didn’t go- and the film Capricorn One seemed to almost be mocking us- but personally I’m undecided. I think there are a lot of things governments know about things beyond our atmosphere that they don’t tell us.

.

I think it has less to do with our technology at the time and more about alien technology that got us there in the first place. I too saw the lunar landing and Neil Armstrong take his steps on the moon, but it was a power greater than us that helped.

.

The apollo landed on the Moon. But they found something there (UFO bases?) and NASA didnot broadcast the true image which they saw there.

.

Pour yourself a margarita & settle in for an engrossing read!

★★★★★ BOOK REVIEW:

DIABLO NIGHTS

by Carmen Amato

Diablo Nights is a novel that takes you inside Mexico’s drug wars and introduces you to Detective Emilia Cruz, a conniving, fast-thinking, fearless crime-fighter who isn’t afraid to kick some ass. In short – a woman you are unlikely to forget in a hurry.

This is an international mystery and crime thriller that’s truly worthy of that description. One of the best novels I’ve read in some time.

Set in and around Acapulco, it’s fast-moving, intriguing and always surprising. The writing flows, drawing the reader in.

There’s a bonus for readers, too, in that even if you’ve never been to Acapulco, you’ll know it better than most tourists by the time you finish this book. The writer takes you beneath city’s postcard exterior to the mean streets – the side that tourists seldom see – where the drug lords rule.

So, pour yourself a margarita and settle in for an engrossing read! -Lance Morcan

Here are some comments from a few of our key cast members:

Zenia Starr

“Working on ‘My Cornerstone’ was a truly unique experience for me as an actress; for the first time I had the opportunity to act in a film with both of parents and so our ‘on set family’ truly was family!
The production team, cast and crew collectively put in many long and hard hours of work to get this film shot in record timing. Contrary to our on-screen interactions for the most part of the film, many lovely friendships were made and belly-laughing memories created. I hope that the message of this film will resonate well with those who watch it.”

Romin Khan

“If the words love, faith and hope resonate with you then ‘My Cornerstone’ is a film not be missed.
I have experienced a lot of love working on set with  ‘My Cornerstone’ team and we all had hopes regarding the faith of this movie to make it to the big screen and our dreams have come true indeed.
So please do come by and join us at the nearest event cinemas near you to celebrate this amazing journey of love, faith and hope called My Cornerstone.”

Gil Ben-Moshe

“I am a cast member of ‘My Cornerstone’ along with my identical twin brother Oren. Apart from being a cast member I also wore several hats within the crew department. I was the first assistant director as well as the production manager. Working on My Cornerstone was a great experience, as I got to work along some of the most incredible cast and crew I’ve ever worked with. I thank producer/director Stanley Joseph for the wonderful opportunity.”

Aishveryaa Nidhi
Copy-of-Short-+-Sweet-Aish

“It was a pleasure to play the part of Heather Pinto in  ‘My Cornerstone’. Film was so well cast that on-screen family actually became a family after the shoot. Whole cast and crew were very professional. Everybody has worked long hours to finish not one but two films in record days, which is a big achievement. Stanley has worked very hard to produce and release the film. Hats off to him!”

And lastly, myself (James Morcan)

2

“Filming this ambitious international story was a mammoth undertaking and only achievable due to our highly efficient crew who pulled off untold miracles. Personally speaking, being an actor and screenwriter on the film was a tough dual assignment given the tight deadlines and the improvisational nature of the shoot. But fortunately with Stanley’s constant guidance and a very supportive cast and crew, I managed to deliver what was required.”

‘Orange Town’ a fair dinkum 5-star read!

BOOK REVIEW:  Orange Town: FIFO 3-2-1 – by Paul Rhoden

★★★★★

In a message to the reader, author Paul Rhoden says, “Orange Town: FIFO 3-2-1 is a book I have always wanted to write.” Well, in a message to the author, this reviewer says this is a book I have always wanted to read!

From one Down Under bloke to another…It’s fair dinkum brilliant mate!

Firstly, the title intrigued me. Even though, in another time, I worked in the mining industry in Outback Australia, and mixed with many of the (types of) colourful characters who feature in this must-read novel, I wasn’t familiar with the term FIFO. Now I know: it’s the description given those hard-nosed, hard-working, hard-drinking, hard-living individuals who ‘Fly In Fly Out’ to earn a living in Aussie’s unforgiving earthmoving, construction and mining industries.

Rhoden focusses on hard case Brent Williams – better known as ‘Rooster’ – who morphs from a cattle ranch roustabout and bareknuckle fighter to a charismatic, smooth, lady’s man who scales the corporate ladder during Aussie’s mining boom of the early Nineties. In the process, he manages the biggest FIFO contract around.

Unfortunately for Rooster, he carries a dark secret around with him. Though this may be unfortunate for him, it’s very fortunate for the reader as it adds another beguiling dimension to this breathtaking novel.

Love the humour, too. It’s humour Colonials will relate to, but this is a novel deserving of a much wider audience.

Summary: This is one you have to read, mate! (The ladies will enjoy it, too). -Reviewer Lance Morcan

Paul Rhoden…author of Orange Town: FIFO 3-2-1.

Multicultural romantic comedy opens in cinemas Australia-wide

MY CORNERSTONE is an international romantic comedy filmed at various locations all over Sydney and greater NSW as well as in Mumbai, India. The story, which is a dynamic blend of East and West, covers contemporary issues in both Australian society and Indian communities in a fun and sexy fashion.

1688703_825081757544117_7822707933222638746_n

The film debuts in cinemas (Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas) this Thursday Oct 9th Australia-wide. Screening locations include Morley (Perth) WA, Marion (Adelaide) SA, Garden City (Brisbane) QLD, Sunshine (Melbourne) VIC, Southland (Melbourne) VIC, Liverpool (Sydney) NSW and Burwood (Sydney) NSW. More cinemas are likely to be added soon due to public demand in certain areas.

Later this year the film, which is the first Indian-Aussie cross-over movie in cinema history, will also screen in cinemas in various countries worldwide, followed by an eventual international DVD release.

The film’s multicultural cast includes some of the brightest up-and-coming actors from Australia and India. My Cornerstone’s lead actress, 24 year-old Indian-Australian Zenia Starr, was recently crowned Miss India Australia and was a contestant in the 2013 Miss India Worldwide beauty pageant. As a result of her role in My Cornerstone and other productions including the recent Australian indie film Backyard Ashes, Zenia is becoming a renowned name in both the Bollywood and Australasian film industries.

“Like other successful cross-cultural films such as Bride and Prejudice and Bend It Like Beckham, My Cornerstone has the potential to become a mainstream crowd-pleaser with both traditional Australian audiences and ex-pat Indian cinemagoers alike.” -Don Groves, Inside Film (IF)

Here’s the review in full:

★★★★★

Well-thought out tale. You could hear the waves, feel the sea breeze, hear the rain thundering through the thick forest canopy, Nathan’s change, Susannah’s love, feel the pain in the Qopi warriors’ sacrifice … it was all a truly remarkable read set in the lands to which I proudly call home. London is certainly far removed from paradise. -AmazonUK reviewer @JonFiji
