Easily Apply Drupal Patches with Patch Manager
Have you ever updated your Drupal site only to suddenly have errors?
If you use Drupal regularly, this will happen to you at some point. However, one of the good things about using Drupal is there are so many other users that someone else may well have found and solved the error.

Many of the available instructions for applying patches ask you to use an application called Git and to use command line instructions. These instructions can be intimidating, so we're going to show you how non-coders can safely and effectively apply patches.

There's an Updated Drupal Logo for Drupal 8
Drupal 8 will ship with a new version of the Drupal logo, known as the Druplicon.
It's not the biggest news in the world, but this will make some people happy. The discussion about replacing the logo lists several design problems with the current version:
The 'freaky alien' vibe.
It looks a bit dated - it's 11 years old now.
Some people find it "sinister", or "mean".
The lighting on the logo is from top left which can conflict with other sources.
The color scheme is muddy and out-of-sync with "Seven" administration theme.

OSToolbar for WordPress: Give Tutorial Videos to Your Clients
This week we've rolled out an update for the OSToolbar for WordPress.
If you haven't used it, OSToolbar allows you to provide our training videos to your clients.
OSToolbar is currently available for both WordPress and Joomla and we're considering a Drupal version.
For WordPress, users OSToolbar is a free plugin that you can install directly from the Plugins area of your clients' WordPress sites.

Traffic from India is Growing at a Rapid Speed
Several times every year, I wake up, check our traffic stats and think, "YIKES!!" I'm looking a drop of 40% to 50% in our overnight traffic.
Why? Because on those days, India is on holiday.
The number of visitors to OSTraining.com has grown every year, but traffic from India has grown many times faster than traffic from anywhere else.
Let me pull some stats from Google Analytics to show you the growth.

Microweber, a New Laravel-based CMS
It's a brave team that launches a new CMS into such crowded and established marketplace.
Boris Sokolov and his team are doing exactly that with Microweber. They hope to stand out in two ways. First, by being based on Laravel, a PHP framework that is enormously popular with developers. Second, Microweber has a focus on e-commerce.
I spoke with Boris shortly after the release of version 1.0 of Microweber.
