Camp Myth #1: Phoenix Watching available on Kindle!
Camp is officially open!
I couldn’t be more excited to announce that Camp Myth#1: Phoenix Watching is now available on Kindle (with softcover copies soon to follow!) From planning the kickstarter campaign to uploading the finished files, this has been an amazing journey, and I’m beyond grateful for all of the support I’ve received along the way. Curious to find out more? Well, why not read the following blurb, then DOWNLOAD YOUR COPY TODAY!
“Welcome to Camp Myth, the only summer camp built exclusively for young mythological creatures. Forget canoe rides and knot tying lessons – these kids are more likely to fish for a Kraken, or learn the proper way to train a Chimera!
Join Felix, a rebellious Fae forced to attend camp as punishment for his obsession with humans; Argee, the first (and only) nerdy Cyclops; and Moxie, a Kitsune who would rather smart-mouth than shape-shift. Can these three mythic outcasts survive long enough to earn a merit badge for Phoenix Watching, or will they end up as just another campfire story?
Packed with over fifteen pieces of amazing artwork, and an all-ages story based on mythologies from across the globe, Phoenix Watching is the perfect way to spend your summer vacation!
Camp Myth is a unique new YA series by Chris Lewis Carter that gives readers a chance to be featured in a future volume. Find out how you can enroll a character at www.campmyth.com.”

Misreading Evidence live at Thunderdome Magazine
If you haven’t been reading Thunderdome Magazine, you’ve been missing out on one of the freshest, raddest online mags to hit the scene in years. That’s why I was thrilled to be accepted for their recent collection of stories inspired by Tarot Cards – more specifically, Dan Donche’s new Darkana Tarot Deck. My piece, Misreading Evidence, snagged the 8 of Wands, and has just went live on the site. If you want to read about the fun-filled world of being a telephone psychic in less than 1,000 words, why not check it out?
Kill Screen gets retro on Pseudopod
Did you happened to catch The Cord (not literally, I hope!) over at Pseudopod a few months ago? Are you up for another round? Well, check out what they’ve done with Kill Screen! The Pseudo-crew really went all out with this recording, adding multiple readers, and a host of fantastic 8-bit sound effects. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this one something special!

Camp Myth #1: Phoenix Watching on Kickstarter!
Camp Myth is a summer camp built to teach young mythological creatures about the cultures and dangers of their amazing world. Minotaurs, Dryads, Merfolk, Centaurs – you name it! For six weeks, these children live and work together in order to earn merit badges and prove their worth to the mythic community.
But for Felix, a mischievous Fae with a knack for getting into trouble, camp means nothing more than a chance to break free from his overprotective parents and enjoy a few weeks without responsibilities. That is, until a series of accidents turn camp life upside-down, and some of the other campers start disappearing from the grounds.
Together with his cabin-mates, Argee – the world’s only nerdy Cyclops – and Moxie – an orphaned Kitsune unable to control her shape-shifting powers, Felix will meet learn about mythological creatures, what it really means to grow up, and how friendship can transcend race and culture.
If this sounds like a series that you or a loved one would enjoy, head over to Kickstarter and show your support!
Camp Myth on Kickstarter!
"Camp Myth, your name we say with pride.
Our haven from the world outside.
And when this mountain we descend,
All mythic creed return as friend."
- Official Camp Motto
Have you ever wanted to ride a Pegasus? Fish for a Kraken? How about tame a pet Phoenix, or play chess with a Sphinx?
Each year, mythic children of all ages and races are invited to attend Camp Myth, a special summer camp built to teach them about the cultures and dangers of the Unseen World.
But for Felix, a young Fae with a knack for getting into trouble, it means little more than a chance to break free from his overprotective parents and enjoy a few weeks without responsibilities. That is, until a series of mysterious events turn camp life upside-down, and he accidentally stumbles upon a sinister plot to enslave all myth-kind.
Together with his cabin-mates, Argee – the planet's dorkiest Cyclops, and Kit – an orphaned Kitsune unable to control her shape-shifting powers, Felix will meet strange new friends, earn amazing merit badges, and maybe, just maybe…
Survive until the closing ceremony!

The Cord featured in Niteblade #19
I'm thrilled to announce that my short story, The Cord, is now available in Issue #19 of Niteblade. You guys need to check this magazine out! Not only is it packed with a ton of talented authors, but they're doing some really innovative things with their pricing model.
You can visit the website any time – www.niteblade.com – to read samples of every story featured in the current issue. You can then buy it for only $2.49, and once enough people do that, they'll make it available as a free PDF for everyone else. It's a really interesting strategy that benefits both the people who are familiar with Niteblade and want to support the magazine, and those who would otherwise be on the fence, so I really hope it pays off.
Oh, and did I mention that if you donate any amount of money to support the mag, they'll give you the first six issues for FREE? That's right, hundreds of pages worth of fantastic poetry and fiction, and you get to set the price. That's how awesome they are.
So why not head over and pick up a few issues?
