Adulterous Decision

“Lucy…. Who’s it gonna be, him or me? DECIDE!” shouted Ethan, slamming his foot down hard on the accelerator, heading towards the cliff edge.

“It’s you, Ethan. Please stop.”

Ethan hit the tampered brakes.

It was too late.

Dillon, the toyboy mechanic, planned a different outcome for Ethan, when Lucy brought the car for service.

Decisions, Decisions

When he left town, he’d left her with a broken heart.

Now he was back, older, maybe wiser and definitely dangerous to her sense of well being.

He said he loved her. Now, she had to decide, remain silent, or tell him the truth about what really happened the night he left.

What to do?

Chance Meeting?

She found the cryptic note in a library book, just a time, a place and a date.

On a whim she decided to check it out and went to the cafe at the designated time.

Recognition was immediate. She saw the man, a volunteer from the library, stand and smile in welcome as she approached.

Difficult to Choose

Tom couldn’t decide on which one, the velvety black dressed with her glassy stare or the beige colored outfit with her smoky air. His eyes darted from one to the other and longingly stared at the one dressed in black. Tom could see his reflection in her.

“I’ll take the Arabica black coffee straight, thanks.”

The Old Switcheroo?

She loved Andrew and his dark curls, but Johnny … bald and sexy!

“Johnny’s crashing here tonight” he grinned. She knew they liked to tease her about it.

Andrew seduced her in the dark. She loved grabbing his hair, but tonight … nothing. She froze.

Next morning she stood there, mouth open wide. “I’ve decided to shave, honey!”

Dual Desires

A scantily clad woman struts the streets of King’s Cross, her heels elevating her above the filth.

Desperate for inclusion, to be appreciated, to be loved; she longs for the lingering stares.

In a lounge room far away a desperate father hangs his head. Where did it go wrong … when will my little princes return?

Full Disclosure

“There has to be full disclosure,” the realtor said.

The client looked about the empty room with trepidation. “It was never solved?”

“No. The man and his mistress were found in her bedroom, murdered, yet the door was locked, the house undisturbed.

She smiled, thinking of her late husband. “Let me know what you decide.”

A Spiritual Devotion

He sensed the change in the air; the gentle breeze across his face like a lover’s kiss, the scent of Soir de Paris, the echo of laughter.

She’d been murdered in that house.

He was intrigued, enthralled with a dead woman, and must decide if he wanted to, or could, live with her ghost.

Morning Coffee?

I adore the coffee down the street. I stride in and place my order.

“A large mug of virgin, Arabica black.“

I glance to my right and notice Fred making steaming, hot liquid that froths with white foam. The steam forms tendrils of luscious smoke.

“I’ve changed my mind, I’ll decide on the hazelnut latte.”

It’s a Mystery

The blonde or brunnette, I couldn’t decide.

The blonde evoked nights of lust and passion,

the brunnette the usual romantic, sweet night cuddled by the fire.

The blonde.

“Come, let’s roam the streets and scream the houses down.”

“Not likely. Me and Flo here are gonna go eat that fish supper in the kitchen bowl.”
