The Essence of the Labyrinth – by Amy J. Rio
On an overcast Sunday afternoon, filled with sporadically spitting rain, a friend and I explored a private labyrinth which was created from a metaphysical perspective. Labyrinths speak to me, as they have for countless people for numerous centuries. As to why, I normally can only answer with a favorite response from Divinity School – “It’s […]

After the Equinox
Are you feeling any changes after the equinox? I always begin to feel more energy and focus at this time. Use this meditation to help with this transition. Read through the meditation and then close your eyes and follow your own meditation path.
Post Equinox Meditation
Take a few deep breaths and close your eyes. Find yourself standing in front of and arch leading down a dark tunnel. What does the arch look like? What is it made of? Touch it and feel the texture and the temperature of this arch. How do you feel when you look down this tunnel.? Are you nervous or excited?
You see a glimmer of light farther down the tunnel and this makes you feel more comfortable heading down this path. Step into the tunnel and as your eyes adjust to the dark you notice that it isn’t completely dark. The walks seem to glisten and reflect back the light from farther down the tunnel. What is the temperature in the tunnel? How do you feel walking through this space? What do you anticipate you will find at the other end.
You begin to see the light get brighter and find yourself nearing the end of the tunnel. Before leaving the tunnel for the bright light at the other end, savor the last few minutes in the tunnel. Take some deep breaths in this space and think about how you feel in this environment.
When you feel ready walk out into the bright light on the other end of the tunnel. What does this place look like? Is it what you expected? What surrounds you and how do you feel in this place. You find that a few guides are waiting to greet you here. They are very happy to see you.
Have a seat with them and ask them a few question about this place and what you are meant to learn here. Take whatever responses you receive from your guides although the answers may not be totally clear. Thank your guides for their help.
Walk around this place and feel the difference after the tunnel. Think about what you would like to have different in your life. You may even ask your guides about this and how to make these changes.
Take as much time as you would like in the place and enjoy the feeling it gives you. When you feel ready to return to your physical body begin to hear the sounds in the room where you meditate. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you feel ready, open your eyes.
Take some time to write down what you learned in meditation. This will help you to process and gain more from what was given.
How did you feel in the tunnel?
How did you feel when you left the tunnel?
What information did your guides give you?
What have you been unwilling to change?
What are you willing to give up to make a new path for yourself?
Thank you so much for taking this Journey with me. Find more like this in my Kindle and Paperback Journals.

Only your heart and soul can guide you to the truth. – Rainbowtree Woman
Too often, we accept information presented to us as the truth, with no effort to ask any honest, critical, or introspective questions. We’ve become so blinded by outer “nicely packaged” forms of deception – especially, by people we see as having authority, power or “more knowledge” than us.

Release your Burdens
The energy lately has felt very heavy for me as we transition into Spring. It is now time to start moving forward into this new Spring energy. Use this guided meditation to prepare yourself for this move.
Read through this meditation and then close your eyes and remember what you can. Let your meditation follow whatever path it takes.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Find yourself climbing a staircase. As you climb you feel heavier and heavier and it is harder to keep going. Luckily you see a landing up ahead although the staircase continues beyond it.
When you reach the landing you see there is a couch with a table in front of it. Some tea things have been laid out ion the table. There is tea and coffee, water and some snacks. You collapse onto the couch feeling exhausted. It feels as if every burden in the world has been laid on your shoulders.
After taking some deep breaths and laying on the couch you reach over to take something to drink. As you sip you feel ask if some of the weight is being removed. with each sip you feel lighter. You then sit up and reach for some food on the table. With each bite you feel reinvigorated. You are amazed by the transformation.
As you look around the table you see that there is a menu of the items prepared for you. The ingredients for each item are also listed but they are not food items. Each ingredient is something you need in your life to lessen your burden. They may be emotions or they may be activities or even people. Read through the list. Are you surprised by any of the ingredients you are craving? Feel free to taste some additional items and feel yourself renewed.
When you feel you have absorbed all that you can of this amazing meal, rise and walk towards the staircase. Now, with this new energy you bound up the staircase ready to tackle this new challenge. When you are ready, begin to hear the sounds around your physical body. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and open your eyes.
Now take some time to write down what you have learned in this meditation in order to enhance your experience.
What do you feel is weighing you down?
What ingredients were on your menu?
How can you incorporate those things into your life?
What is one thing you can do today to reinvigorate yourself?
What burden are you ready to release?

Intensity and Serenity by Andre van Zijl
It is easy to coast through each day, managing a mild form of acceptably “normal” anguish.

Don’t Waste this Energy.
Is your intuition feeling strong? Mine sure is. Take advantage of it and then some time to recuperate. Take good care of yourself over the next week.
Read the following guided meditation and then close your eyes and remember what you can. Take whatever wisdom and relaxation you are given. Whatever direction your meditation takes is exactly correct for you.
Take a few deep breaths and close your eyes. Find yourself walking towards a large old mansion. The mansion has not been kept up and looks run down and weary. As you get closer you notice the front door is slightly ajar.
When you reach the front steps a gust of wind blows by and opens the door even wider. You walk through the open door and look around for any signs of life. There are no sounds and it is pretty clear that no one has been in these rooms for a long time.
You walk through the dusty rooms and see there is still some furniture under sheets and even some pictures on the walls. You walk over to one of the pictures and blow off the dust. A beautiful young woman is in the picture. She looks happy and her eyes twinkle. It reminds you that this must have once been a place of joy although those days are in the past.
As you come to the end of a row of rooms you see a staircase that leads up into a turret room. The stairs look sturdy and you are curious to see the view from the top of the turret. You walk up the stairs and notice that there are a few rooms near the top. The doors to these rooms are shut but they do not seem as dusty. The stairs at this part of the turret are clean as if they are being used.
Therefore you decide to know before entering these rooms. You knock on one of the doors and hear a faint sound from inside. You open the door slowly and see and old woman sitting in a straight back chair near one of the turret room windows. The room is clean and seems comfortable although it is small and does not have must furniture. There is a small but ornately carved bed, a dresser, a few trunks and chairs and table in front of which the old woman sits.
She looks at you and smiles and you see the twinkle in her eye and recognize her from the picture. She waves for you to join her in the chair across from her at the table. You sit and look out the window and the view is beautiful. You can understand why the woman has chosen this part of the house to occupy.
The woman asks you to tell her about yourself and you give her a brief overview of your current life. She asks how she can help you. Ask her for some guidance. She says that she can give you the wisdom of the very old who are less connected to this world and closer to the next. Listen closely to what she tells you. It may not be received in world but in pictures, ideas or even just feelings. Take what is given and there will be time later to consider what it means. You may ask a more specific question if you have one.
Thank the woman and ask if you can do anything for her. She asks you to pour her a glass of water from the pitcher on the dresser where there is also an empty glass. You hand her the water and she takes a long drink. She tells you it is the simple pleasures like quenching thirst that sustain her now. She asks if you can also get her the book from the top of a pile of books on the floor. Retrieve the book and you can look at the title before you hand it to her. She takes it an places it on a stack of books next to her on the table.
She thanks you and you thank her again and say goodbye. You head out the door and back through the steps. You walk through the mansion to the front door and back outside. Walk down the front steps and away from the mansion. As you walk down the drive you look back at the mansion. You see a small hand wave to you although you can’t see her face. You smile as you wave back and then continue to walk down the drive.
Begin to hear the sounds around your physical body. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you feel ready open your eyes.
As soon as you can write down some notes about the meditation.
What did the woman tell you?
Could you tell what book she was requesting?
Does that book have any meaning for you?
How can you commit more to yourself?
What wisdom is your own intuition giving you?
How can you support yourself in moving forward?
I really hope you enjoyed this meditation. I enjoyed writing it so much. I write these with my eyes closed while going through the meditation and I found this one very powerful. I hope you do two!
Please let me know your experience in the comments. If you have any questions or issues that you would like me to make a meditation for please let me know in the comments as well.

New Moon and Solar Eclipse
This weekend we have a new moon with a solar eclipse. The energy begins right now. This is a time when anything can happen and we may not even realize what a big change has occurred until weeks later. This is a time to really take care of yourself and let the storm swirl around you. Stay calm in the eye and watch the craziness unfold but don’t jump in.
I love these times as it is when shift you have been hoping will happen can occur. I always feel like I am in control of whether I step into the shift or if I let it pass me by. When I am bored or unhappy with my life I take the plunge but if everything is good I just watch it pass by.
Therefore this energy never scares me, it is just a door opening that I can walk through or not. Having the option of a big change is always nice. It either shows me that my world is too small and I need to shake it up or gives me gratitude for how good things are and that I don’t want it to change.
To consider what changes you may need try this guided meditation. Read through the meditation and then close your eyes and remember what you can. Whatever direction your meditation goes in is exactly right for you.
Take a few deep breaths and close your eyes. Find yourself sitting on a porch swing. Sit quietly for just a moment. Hear the relaxing sounds around you and feel the warm breeze. Although this place feels very peaceful you can feel the potent energy all around you. You intuitively know that this swing is a portal through time. With each swing a year will pass and then allow you to meet with your future self from that year.
Take some time to decide how far in the future you want to go and when you are ready begin to swing. The landscape changes rapidly around you with each swing and you know you are moving quickly. When you are done stop swinging.
After a short wait you hear footsteps and your future self appears. What questions do you have for this future version of who you may become? Don’t worry if you receive unsettling news. This is just one possible future and they may have come to warn you so you can avoid this outcome. Ask about their life. Ask how they came to be where they are in life. Ask what is most important to them. Ask what suggestions they would give you. Ask anything you can think of that you would like to know and that would give you guidance.
Take whatever information is given. It may not be entirely clear and may take further thought or journaling. When you have asked all of your questions you may ask if they have anything they want to tell you. Thank this version of yourself and they rise and walk away.
When you are ready, a few more swings will return you to the current time. Begin to hear the sounds around your physical body. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you feel ready, open your eyes.
Take some time to write down some notes after this meditation. This will help you process what you received in the meditation and remember what you learned.
What did you learn from your guide?
Where do you need to focus on what you want?
How did you feel about your guide?
What did your guide show you that you haven’t seen?
Did your guide help you choose a new path or to stay on the current path?
How can you support yourself on this path?
These moon cycles are reminders to make conscious decision in our life. Know where you want to go and take incremental steps in the right direction. This is hard work and you should be proud you take this time for reflection.

Me and My Shadow – by The Wilderness Road
It is a frightening thought that man also has a shadow side to him, consisting not just of little weaknesses- and foibles, but of a positively demonic dynamism. The individual seldom knows anything of this; to him, as an individual, it is incredible that he should ever in any circumstances go beyond himself. But let […]
