The fierce BlogBattle day is here! Chapter 7 is my entry. If you’ve missed any of the previous chapters, you can find them all here.

Madnes Solver
Chapter 7:Power for a Price

Evading Inspector Coolette’s grasp, he trotted through the downtown’s maze of streets, a series of twists and turns until the March’s Repairs workshop and garage came into view:An uneven, two-story complex, with mix-match roofs, and a clock tower growing through the upper portion of the workshop building. Giant wheels, s...

Madnes Solver: Under Suspicion

The fierce BlogBattle day is here! Chapter 6 is my entry. If you’ve missed any of the previous chapters, you can find them all here.

Madnes Solver
Chapter 6: Under Suspicion

“Madnes, careful!”

Ssshhh! I am being careful,” he glowered over a shoulder, then carefully creeped forward. One step at a time towards the glass doors, a fading sunset reflected off the surface dimly. He stepped just close enough for his arm to reach while keeping the rest of him out of sight. He quietly set the satchel...

In time to the bard’s soft voice,
Mourning rain descends.

A Dreamer’s Updates: May 2015

I’ll be posting monthly updates from now on under “A Dreamer’s Updates.” If you would like to read more about me, WIPs and things not on the blog, see mymonthly mailing list.

Time has flown by! I can’t believe it’s June already. I thought there was more time to get things done before full summer arrived, but I was oh so very wrong, hehe. For instance, I thought my WIP’s Draft #2 would be done by now, and that I’d be half-way through Draft #3! But instead…well, you can read about it further in...

Ninja Banana Problem

I’ve been looking for a pic to give you all an idea of what Cheshire looks like all dressed up, and I found the one above, by artist Ken McCuen–You can find his artwork here. I would say that my idea for Cheshire looks more fluffy and a lighter gray, but other than that that’s him in Steampunk Wonderland style! :D

Cheshire won this round, obviously, hehe. I hope you enjoy seeing our fluffy, tabby friend again. Madnes may not agree, but I think his Victorian apparel is quite adorable. :D If you...

She steps outto think

Breathing in the fresh morning,

Lacey wings unfurl.

Freshly baked bread is

The most delicious, I think,

A chocolate world.

In the first haikuI imagine a fairy or some little creature with wings...

The Reader Problems Tag

reader-problems-tag[1]

A big thank you to Sara Letourneau for tagging me for this fun blog hop! I’m finally getting around to doing it, yes! I’ve been so wrapped up in editing and stuff that blog challenges fell to the side of my “to do” pile (eep!), but now I am going through them, and it’s so much fun! I’m very happy to have been tagged. :D Now, onward we go to the questions!

Q: You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

Oh my goodness, I would fall over and die if I let...
