I have a crush...

Savannah Chase does a post every week of a hunk and a few weeks ago she did one on Channing Tatum because I asked. Isn't she sweet? Yes, he's hot.
And while I think he's lishous, he's married and not appropriate for me to have a crush on. Plus, I'm married and I don't roll that way.
I do however think it's appropriate for me to have a "crush" on someone who is absolutely unattainable (yeah, 'cause Channing Tatum isn't, right? lol)
Here is my favorite actor to crush on.

Les sigh.
I am so weird...

Do You Know Romance?

A lot people read romance, watch romance, think they live romance, or pine for romance, but I don't think many really know what romance is.
In the literary world, romance is defined as two people meet, fall in love, and have a happy-ever-after (HEA). True, this could be complicated by suspense, action, mystery, intrigue, misunderstandings, internal warrings, paranormal outside influences, barriers that seem impossible to overcome, or anything else that might come to mind. But all-in-all, thes...

When You Want What You Can't Have

Isn't that breaking a 10 Commandment? or committing one of the 7 cardinal sins? Coveting? Something like that.
But is it?
I'd like to think that maybe, just maybe, it's ambition. We want something - say to be in a movie based on a book written by you - and it just seems impossible. Absolutely impossible. Do we just write it on our list of "Want Tos", tuck it away, and never look back?
Most of the people I know, don't do this. They might write in on a list - I know I do - but then they start se...

What Is Your Controversy?

There are all kinds of political, religious, ethical, business, etc. issues out there that SMACK of controversy. Nobody seems able to agree 100% on anything. Even members of the same church/religion, business, race, or even household have exactly the same ideas on everything.
But I'm not up here to get on MY soapbox about my stance on abortion, same-sex marriage, contraceptive use, pre-marital "activity", or even how the Federal budget should be arranged. No. Those are issues I'm comfortable...

Some Current Obsessions...

Things have been so different with this pregnancy. Oh, it's a boy by the way, YAY!Anyway, cravings are off and tastes have become slightly ecclectic - for me. I thought I would share where my inspirations for my days are coming from besides my awesome kids and hubby. So... Here goes! First off, music I'm into.  Normally, I ride with Journey, Aerosmith, Pink, or Matchbox 20 playing on my iPod. But lately I'm revving closer to groups like Gotye, Adele, local artists and more late-90s versu...

For A Limited Time...

Into the End will be $0.99 on Amazon for a few days. This is your chance to grab it and get a taste of what attacks on America would be like.

Oh, and Barely Alive is at the same price! Run! Hurry! Before zombies decide they want to date you... or your daughter.

There Are So Many Options...

There are so many options out there many people are unaware of.

It doesn't matter if you write, ride, cook, eat, sew, knit, blah blah blah... there is information and options out there for you. Almost so many, your own creativity can suffer.

Or can it?

I like to think that all the options out there help me brainstorm for more ideas all without having to leave the comfort of my home. I like hanging with my friends online and not feeling bad if I have to run to take care of lunch or laundry befo...

My Friends...

First, a caveat. This does not include ALL my friends. I'm highlighting my writing friends (and only a few at that) that have touched my life in a significant way recently (and in no particular order).
Maggie Fechner: I got together with Maggie over the weekend and we discussed our usual stuff - family, writing, family, writing, reading, etc.  One of the things I adore about this girl is her ability to take things in stride. She doesn't judge me for my out-of-whack comments or even my cr...
