What Makes a Good Cover Artist...

Is the reader insider her or him. I haven't known Ashley Byland long, but what I do know amounts to a dedicated mother, reader, reviewer, and cover artist.  I'm actually in the process of writing a book just so I can have her design the cover. She's that awesome.  I asked Ashley to write up a paragraph about what she likes about books and why she reviews them and enjoys cover design. I have to say I love her answer.  To contact Ashley for more information on her book covers (un...

Through the Flames Cover Reveal!

I am so excited for this book to come out. It is #2 in my Into the End series. Through the Flames. I have been beaten and left for dead writing this thing and I hope when you get a chance to read it, you'll be as affected as me. But better.

What do you think?

Stay tuned for the blurb!

Camping Time!

I'm AWOL over here, have you noticed?

With rain and sun in the Northwest, it's perfect camping weather and yep, we're taking advantage. But camping is hard with a 7 month pregnancy stomach and aches. lol.

I don't have much to contribute to the blogosphere today except for a top 5 list of what NOT to take camping (especially in Northern Idaho).

A BB gun. If you're taking a gun for protection, take one that will do damage. A BB gun will just make animals or attackers mad. Anything sticky -...

Something Drastic This Way Comes...

Good morning or whatever time you're visiting.

And how are you? What do you have planned for today?

Okay, here's my question for you on this potentially glorious day.

Your town is bombed (where did the glorious part go? Jeesh) and you're not home. What do you do? Where will you go? Who do help or seek out? Are you prepared to be stuck somewhere or in your car or?

Go!

And have a great day. I hope no bombs go off for you unless they are good news bombs dropped in your lap!

Can You Handle Changes?

I'm dealing with a ton of changes right now that apply to my writing world and everything else. Wanna hear?
Baby is almost here - have 14 weeks left and yes, that's not nearly enough time. Fatigue seems to be my new besty! Grr.  I always have some level of fatigue, but this new level is unreal! Work has opted on using a new platform and since I've started that it takes me three times as long to get my work done - this is frustrating since I get paid on production and not by the hour. My...

What Authors/People Can Learn From Domino's

Let's face it. People aren't perfect. We destroy first impressions and even long term relationships more times than we want to or are even aware of doing. Companies do this as well, being run by... well, humans.
Let's look at Domino's. Because I love pizza, and talking about any thing that has to do with that topic makes me happy.
Have you ever eaten at Domino's? Ten years ago, my husband and I were faithful customers, went once or twice a week. Then the product went downhill and there wa...

I'm an LDS author and I write mainstream thriller, romance, and YA urban fantasy among other things.

The book I'm featuring is - Into the End, the first in my apocalyptic thriller series. From many who have read it, I've heard it spurs on the need for preparedness. We all need a little encouragement now and then, right?
