Nancy Wait was born in Chicago and grew up in New York City where she studied acting at Performing Arts and Carnegie-Mellon before moving to London in 1969 to study at RADA and have a career in England (1970s as Nancie Wait), in film (Au-Pair Girls), television and theater. She returned to NYC and became a painter during the 1980s (portraits, architectural renderings, soul visions), and moved into writing in the late 90s when she began her memoir. What she finds so thrilling about her experience of writing, was how she managed during the process to actually solve the mystery that had plagued her most of her life.
