Happy Friday!

I am so glad it's Friday and 6 more days.  I am not much into mornings so if my posts are not very lengthy or full of witty comments I apologise. My mind is not set to come up with anything this early and the heat here in Ohio has sucked any thoughts of any substance from my brain. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Good morning readers!

It is Thursday already (YAY!) and 7 more days. It's hard to believe. It looks like the edits, corrections and re-reads are about done. I am sooooo happy. I have a busy weekend ahead of me and then I can just breathe…for about two seconds and then on to the next thing. Have a great day!

Good Morning!

It's Hump Day and 8 more days until the release of Deady Dreams. I am excited, tired and hoping everything goes off without a hitch. I have been working toward this for a long time and it's finally going to happen.

Scary book thoughts!

You know in writing a book and getting it ready to be put out there I had so many thoughts.  Is this going to mirror someone else's writing?  How many books out there are going to have the name I want for mine?  Are people going to actually like it? Is it going to read like a mature novel or sound weak?   Unfortunately I don't know the readers mind when I go through it myself. It will appeal to some and others will probably think it's f lop, which I dread beyond measure, but we will see. I am so excited about the responses I have been getting already about the book and I really hope that it lives up to that expectation.

Well another week has begun and 10 more days till my first book is released. I am excited and nervous and busy editing the second book. I want to thank everyone that commented, "liked" and requested to be my friends. I hope you like book. Just had a random thought!

After checking my Facebook page and trying to get my book info out there for everyone to see, I noticed that alot of people still read books. I am talking physical, hold in your hand, flip the pages books. I absolutely love, love books. I have had up to probably 3 large bookshelves full of them at one time. I now have a nook and I don't know what I would do without it, but even after getting it I still had shelves full of books. I couldn't and didn't want to let go of them. It didn't matter that they had been sitting there for a few years, collecting dust and the only times I touched them was when I put them in a box and took them back out again when I moved. Finally, in an effort to get rid of clutter and stuff that just took up space…I got rid of my books. It took going through them 3 and 4 times, trying to weed out the ones that I really, really wanted to keep and those that could go. I sold off two of my complete series sets on Ebay and believe me, I did not want to part with those, but for the greater good I did. Then I finally got rid of all the others, except for one set that is one of my favorite paranormal series. When a new book comes out that I just have to read, or it's a long awaited, next in the series book, sometimes my fingers itch with the need to turn those pages.  I walk down the book isle at Wal-Mart and feel the pull. I see a new book cover that catches my eye and I want pick it up and take it home with me. Then I think…I don't need this, just go home and download it. Yay technology! But I still long for the written word on paper.

Good Morning

Hello and good morning everyone. It's a beautiful Sunday morning here in Ohio. I can't believe how hard it is to get a book out there. This is my first book and I want to do it right. There are so many things to think about, copyright, formatting, marketing, blogs, websites, where to post it. Not to mention everything that goes into getting the book ready. I believe I have everything figured out. At least I won't have to go through all of this for the second book.  Here's to 11 more days till release! Have a great day!
