The America I was born into is dead
When I was a kid, school prayer was legal and abortion, pornography and gambling weren’t. There weren’t such things as school shootings–ever. Mothers didn’t murder their children. God could be mentioned in public without triggering a lawsuit. Local governments didn’t seize property under eminent domain and then grant it to their developer buddies for “the public good.” Illegal immigration wasn’t heroic; it was illegal. Crooked elections were noteworthy and mostly seen only in Chicago. And the communists trying to bring us down were in the Kremlin, not Congress.
Sometimes I feel as if I’m stuck in some alternate universe like the one in that old Star Trek episode where Spock had a beard and the Federation was evil. I always used to wonder if in that universe the Klingons were the good guys. Now I read about Putin’s Russia standing up for the traditional values of Western Civilization against Islam and militant homosexuality. A ruthless, “ex”-communist dictator seems to be the closest thing we have to heroic in this perverse reality we live in.
There’s a lot of talk about how Conservatives can reverse the rot after the next election by retaking control of the Republican Party and turning out the Progressives. But that won’t bring back the country we used to have. Even if Conservatives did wrest control of the Republican Party from the Neo-Cons, swept the elections, and then enacted every piece of dream legislation: abolishing the IRS, the EPA, the Department of Education, the Federal Reserve, and the NSA, it could all be overturned after the next election.
The problem isn’t an all-powerful government grown out of control, it’s the half of the population that voted for that in the first place.
Half the population likes the freebies they get. Half the population wants a big, powerful government to stick it to the 1%. They want a massive surveillance state to protect them from gun owners and “those crazy religious fanatics on the right that want to establish an American theocracy.” You could wave a magic legislative wand and restore America to what it was and those people would immediately dive right back in to undo everything. You’d only be one election away from having it right back like it is today.

Now that half the population are no longer a “moral and religious people,” the constitution we used to have can’t hold Progressives back from doing what they want to do. They see it as an obstacle to “doing good”--the same kind of “good” that killed a hundred million people in the old Soviet Union and Mao’s China, and left Venezuela a poverty-stricken wasteland.
Some reformers go to the extreme of working for a constitutional convention to “restore” limited government. But this is a dangerous fantasy. Such a convention would either have to exclude representatives of half the population from participation, or risk them hijacking it. The first day they’d replace freedom of speech with “free” health care and then edit their way through the rest of the Bill of Rights. They’d give us a new constitution more suitable for the amoral and irreligious people we’ve become, something like the old Soviet constitution.
America is the way it is because the people who live in it are no longer the people who lived in it when I was a child. The small minority of leftist redistributionists back then has swollen into a horde estimated by Mitt Romney in the 2008 election as “47%.” His estimate was a little off. The redistributionist candidate in that election actually got 52% of the vote. Over half the people in this country like the way things are. If anything, they wish things were even more in the direction we’ve been going.
No amount of preaching the virtues of limited government will make any difference. They don’t believe it. They believe the very opposite. Those who stand for freedom are seen as uneducated, redneck fools full of racial hatred and homophobia, mere stooges for the evil one-percenters. In a perfect world the redistributionists would put them in mental institutions and reeducate their children into “tolerance.” And they’re working toward that perfect world.
Elections will make no difference. At best all Conservatives can hope for is to obfuscate and delay that future. We certainly can’t roll anything back, even without the obstruction of Progressive Republicans. Half the country is already against us.
As Lincoln said in 1858, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” He predicted our first civil war. And another one is coming. Unless one side surrenders and allows itself to be reeducated—and fat chance that’ll be the Social Justice Warriors—war is inevitable—unless our side surrenders, which they’ve made a habit of for the last two generations.
Don’t get me started about Trump and all his promises to drain the swamp he’s been supporting with political donations his entire adult life. Christ taught you could tell false prophets by looking at what they did, not what they say. “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:20) Despite his Conservative talking points, Trump hasn’t actually done anything he promised. Obamacare lives, the IRS chief that harassed Conservative organizations remains, his famous wall remains theoretical, and we’re still supporting Iran and facing off against Russia in Syria. Is Obama still president?
Progressives are using their power now to ensure through IRS harassment, selective prosecutions (like Dinesh D’Souza’s) and outright fraud that they never lose an election again. America has been “fundamentally changed” and it cannot be turned back. Not through elections. Once Conservatives understand this, hot heads will be calling for revolution.
But violence isn’t going to do anything but destroy the country. Any Conservative who advocates a revolution hasn’t thought it through. That didn’t work in 1860 before drones and smart bombs and I don’t doubt Progressives would resort to nuclear weapons if necessary. Why do you think after forty years of knowing our electrical grid is vulnerable to EMP that nothing’s been done to protect it? That’s their fail-safe.
Even if you win the bloody war and they didn’t just nuke you back to the Stone Age, half the population is still against you. If you restore the old constitution, after the first free election you’ll be right back where we are today. You can’t let Progressives vote their conscience because those consciences want everything you believe in destroyed. We can’t go back.
And you can’t go forward. Establishing a dictatorial “limited” government that outlaws Progressive candidates and eliminates their free speech goes against everything we stand for. We can’t have the old America with the new people who live here now, even before they import millions of Third Worlders to permanently change the voting base. The only solution is to change their hearts. But why are their hearts in the wrong place? How did we get here in the first place?
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Jesus commanded us to make disciples… and we did nothing. The reason the country is in the fix it is today is because our grandparents, parents and ourselves have not made Christian disciples as we were commanded. We played church and didn’t stand up for what was right. When the Progressives took prayer and the Bible out of public schools, we did nothing. We let them legalize pot, abortion and pornography. We let them debase TV shows and movies. We didn’t do what was right because it wasn’t “popular.” We let the will of the people determine things, not the will of God. And now we’re going to reap the consequences of our disobedience. We have “sown the wind, and now we shall reap the whirlwind.” (Hosea 8:1-14) That’s our nation’s future—fire and judgment. Even if civil war can be avoided, judgment is coming, just as it does for every nation that abandons God and embraces demonic socialism.
But the situation is more serious than it seems. Anyone who keeps up with current events can see we’re rapidly approaching the End of History. Marxist philosophy rules the Great Powers. America, Russia, China, the European Union—even Japan is socialist. The only serious international rivalry left is whether the New World Order will be run from Washington and Berlin or Bejing and Moscow.
We’re on the cusp of finally achieving Marx’s fabled worker’s paradise or more likely, to quote Winston Churchill, “we will sink into the abyss of a new dark age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science” under a One World Government that makes the totalitarian surveillance of Big Brother in Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-four appear quaint and ineffectual.
But for those of us who aren’t left-wingers—what should we do? Neither politics nor armed revolt can give us our country back. We can’t return to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That’s plain. What do we do now? The old ways are untenable.
In the 1930s Jews could flee Nazi Germany. During the Cold War dissidents fleeing oppression could defect to the West. But today the Free World is no longer free and there’s nowhere left to go. Marxism has metastasized worldwide. You can’t run. And with the modern surveillance state, you can’t hide. Google knows all about you and the NSA has all your e-mails and phone calls.
You must choose a side. As Christ said in Matthew 12:30, “He that is not with me is against me….” Not to choose is still making a choice. And the Marxist social justice warriors that make up our Ruling Class see silence as consent. All they need to succeed is for good men to do nothing. There are only really two choices.
You can switch out your red “Make America Great Again” hat for a blue “Make Gaia Great Again” cap. Or, if you’re a believer in God in this godless Marxist world—a world that’s anti-Christ in spirit even if the personification of anti-Christ has yet to reveal himself—you need to double down. Progressives intend to erase our faith from history, and us from society. Believers need to become more resolute, tenacious, and zealous. We need to be about our Father’s business—saving others from the fire, making disciples and spreading the Word.
That’s your choice—either to jump on Evil’s coat tail, or to try and save as many as you can from the horrors to come. The End of History is upon us. Christ is either returning within our lifetime or he’s never coming back. You must choose a side.
Back in 1427 B.C. the Israelites faced a similar situation, although theirs was not quite as apocalyptic as ours currently is. As their war leader Joshua lay dying, in his final words he urged them…
Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. So choose and choose wisely.

Is Christmas a “Christian” Holiday?
What a strange question. How could the celebration of Christ’s birth NOT be a Christian holiday? But the real strangeness comes when we look at history and reality, rather than what society claims to be true.
The Bible doesn’t say Jesus was born on Christmas Eve. It doesn’t say when he was born exactly, probably purposely. The whole point of Christ’s first coming was his death, not his birth. There are many holidays the Bible commanded commemoration of. Passover is a good example. But nowhere in Scripture are any of the ways we celebrate Christmas commanded, or even listed.
The Roman Catholic Church established Christmas as a rival celebration to the pagan saturnalia and the Zoroastrian celebration of the birth of their god Mithra. The saturnalia was celebrated by parties, feasting and gift giving (sound familiar?) Like almost all “Christian” traditions the Christmas celebration was imported almost unchanged from official Roman pagan government “church” practices.
The Christmas tree is imported from the Norse pagan Yule celebration of the winter solstice (December 21st.) And our modern Christmas icon, Santa Claus, although nominally based on the Catholic Saint Nicholas, bears little resemblance to the 4th century Greek patron saint of thieves, prostitutes and pawn brokers. The infant Jesus in a manger plays second fiddle (if that) to a consumerist icon ruling a toy-making empire based on Elfin slave labor. And parents know full well that despite the legend, it will be them who must to pay hard cash for every toy “Santa” leaves under the tree.
While Christianity is a religion of self-sacrifice, self-control and sober discipleship to develop oneself into the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Christmas celebrates consumption. We are required to give “presents” to anyone and everyone, the extravagance of the presents defining our own self-worth. Those who decline to participate are evil “scrooges” with no compassion for their fellow man. We’re encouraged to “make all our Christmas dreams come true,” by satisfying each and every desire.
Christmas songs celebrate sexual seduction (“Baby, it’s cold outside), adultery (I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus), and orgies of conspicuous consumption (the 12 days of Christmas.)
Christmas celebrations encourage feasting to the extent that people gain an average of two pounds between November and January.
Even the token nativity scenes we throw out as our excuse for self-indulgence have no basis in fact and twist scripture to encourage our pre-conceived doctrine of consumption. The wise men were not there at Christ’s birth and didn’t show up until as much as two years later. (Matthew 2:16)
Christmas morning has become a demonstration of the seven deadly sins: greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony, with wrath being reserved against those who decline to participate.
Just as as Halloween has become a modern celebration of death, horror and despair, Christmas is the least Christian of holidays. I really don’t understand the hardcore militant atheist fetish of hatred toward it. They should embrace it. Christmas as we currently celebrate it stands against everything Christ encourages in his disciples. There is no Christ in Christmas.

Christmas celebrations encourage feasting to the extent that people gain an average of two pounds between November and January.
Even the token nativity scenes we throw out as our excuse for self-indulgence have no basis in fact and twist scripture to encourage our pre-conceived doctrine of consumption. The wise men were not there at Christ’s birth and didn’t show up until as much as two years later. (Matthew 2:16)
Christmas morning has become a demonstration of the seven deadly sins: greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony, with wrath being reserved against those who decline to participate.
Just as as Halloween has become a modern celebration of death, horror and despair, Christmas is the least Christian of holidays. I really don’t understand the hardcore militant atheist fetish of hatred toward it. They should embrace it. Christmas as we currently celebrate it stands against everything Christ encourages in his disciples. There is no Christ in Christmas.

The Religion of the Future is Already Here
Religion is as any cultural system of designated behaviors, practices, and ethics based on a worldview that explain the purpose and meaning of life, providing its adherents with a set of “moral” and “ethical” guidelines for living their lives. It tells you what is right and what is wrong and what to do about it. Religions provide ethical guidelines for how to act and penalties for violation. Religions tell Jews and Muslims not to eat pork, the Hindu not to eat beef, and Christians to set up all you can eat buffets. (Luke 14:12-13)
The religion of the future already exists today. The West has been Christian for two millennia. But that’s changing. The new generation, the ones who’ll be living in the future after their elders have passed on, have overwhelmingly rejected Christianity. The religion of the future will be Political Correctness.
I know any Trump supporters are certain their messiah is going to sweep all that garbage away—just like he’s built a wall, done away with Obamacare, ended our interference in the Middle East and given us a big tax cut. But that’s not going to happen. Political correctness is now the dominant religion of the West. One person can’t change that. (Not like Trump’s doing much about those other things he promised either, but that’s an issue for another post.)
PC is a religion. It tells adherents how the world came to be (evolution) and how we should live—with the smallest carbon footprint possible. It provides a set of ethical laws to follow with penalties for failure. If we don’t reduce our carbon footprints, Global Warming will kill us all.
This religion dominates our schools. It’s what our children are converted to at the local temples of learning run by the priesthood of political correctness—public school teachers. The kids may not be able to read or write, but by the time they graduate they know all about recycling, condom use, that gender is just however you feel that day, homosexuals are always the coolest people in the room, and that Whites can’t help being racist homophobic bigots.
These kids are not going to suddenly discover a new way of thinking later. As Lenin, the Bolshevik leader of the communist revolution said, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.” We give his modern disciples twelve years. The kids who go on to college get even more indoctrination, becoming even more fanatical social justice warriors.
In the old days when the West was Christian, the few real religious fanatics, the “true believers” as Eric Hoffer called them in his book of the same title, were the ones who volunteered as missionaries to take the Gospel to places like darkest Africa. They were the abolitionists who fought against slavery, the prohibitionists who struggled against “reefer madness” and “demon rum,” and the ones who fought for civil rights and broke the back of Jim Crow and the Klan in the 1950s. Religious fervor drove them on. They did those things not because they were easy but because it was the “right thing to do.”
The modern Social Justice Warriors’ attention is focused on different targets, but it’s the same religious fervor driving them. The same fervor that drove conquistadors to slaughter whole native populations. It’s the same fervor that gave witch burners the moral standing to torch old women who practiced herbalism and owned black cats. It’s the same type of fanatical fervor that once drove a few Germans to stuff twelve million people into gas chambers because they were considered “sub-human.”
These people aren’t going to “grow out of it.” Eco-warriors are not going to suddenly decide it’s okay to drive a gas guzzler. Vegans don’t mellow out and start enjoying steaks. Religious fanatics follow the dictates of their conscience. And their conscience says heretics must be destroyed, unbelieving voices silenced, curb-stomped into oblivion. The fate of the planet depends on it!

The Salem witch trials died out because local Christian leaders spoke out against them. The Inquisition was eventually reined in. Even Prohibition was eventually voted out. It’s hard to justify atrocities when your religion stands for “love thy neighbor” and “do unto others.”
But political correctness knows no such limitations. Every nation in which the Leftist religious mania has taken power, that mania has always led to mass killings as the fanatics try to purge their nation of “wrong thinking.” The Cultural Revolution in China alone claimed over a hundred million lives. SJWs who curb stomp Trump supporters don’t seem to show any restraint. Casual talk by SJWs that climate skeptics just “need to die” show their thinking.
If the last election had gone the other way, we’d be in real trouble. I think this was primarily responsible for Trump’s victory. Polls have shown most people who voted for him didn’t vote for him, as much as against the other candidate. Fear drove them on. After eight years of Obamunism voters know what’s in store when the Democrats win and complete the revolution. And sooner or later those kids being “educated” in your local temple of political correctness—excuse me, I mean public school—sooner or later they’re going to become eligible to vote—and then we are doomed.
Political correctness when applied to its logical conclusion will destroy this country. Their goal is bad enough—an impoverished Marxist state with the majority of the population condemned eternally to lower class status for their perceived “White privilege,” with Christianity outlawed—essentially disallowed in any “public” place with adherents criminally prosecuted for daring to stand up for its tenets. Worse yet might be a race war between desperate Middle Class Whites and the rest of society that’s trying to destroy them.
But divide and conquer is the tactic Progressives have preferred for a century now. Why stop when it’s working so well for them? They’ve turned the richest, most free, and color-blind nation in the world into a stumbling nation of over-taxed debtors where skin color determines whether you get into college, how your professor grades you, whether you graduate, what sort of job you can get, and whether you get promoted. Studies have shown that since cops take so much grief for shooting Black suspects, that now the lighter the color of your skin the more likely you are to be shot by the police.

Elmer Gantry Runs Our Churches
Elmer Gantry is an Academy Award winning film of a book by Sinclair Lewis. The book and film were widely condemned in evangelical circles but won numerous awards and critic’s acclaim. I wasn’t even born when the movie first came out (1960) but I had an opportunity to view it a few years ago. I highly recommend it.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, the plot revolves around Gantry who is an unchristian charlatan who gets involved with a traveling revival meeting after discovering it’s a better way to fleece suckers than any of his usual rackets. He convinces the woman running the revival of his sincerity and soon takes over.
From some of the criticism I’d heard, I’d thought the movie was anti-Christian, but it makes it obvious that Gantry is not authentic. He’s not a Christian. He’s a liar and thief. He deceives people for his own benefit, taking advantage of their emotions to “raise a temple for God” to drain their bank accounts before moving on to the next town. He eventually has a falling out with the saintly woman and everything ends in disaster.
But the thing that struck me when watching the movie was that it is, like all old movies, a time portal to see how life in America was years ago. The book was written in the 20s, the movie came out in 1960 and things were different then. I remember going to church when I was a kid back in the 1960s and it was nothing like it is now. Modern methods resemble the methods Gantry employed to ramp up interest (and donations) in his traveling revival. Those methods have since conquered American church administration, with the results predicted by the film.
A scene where the city fathers of a town have gathered to discuss if they’ll allow the now famous traveling revival to visit their town illustrates this. The businessmen are all for it. It’ll bring increased business. The cops think it’ll probably reduce crime (at least in the short run.) The only voice against it is a prominent reverend, the pastor of the biggest church in town.
You might think his opposition was jealousy, but it wasn’t. His concern was that people would, driven by the emotional frenzy Gantry was known for inducing, make hasty decisions for Christ, throwing themselves down at the altar call. (But that sounds like a good thing, doesn’t it?) Then when the revival rolls out of town, the new Believers will be abandoned with no one to train them up into good disciples. Like the seed that fell on stony ground that sprang up and then withered and died (Matthew 13:3-23) he suggests it would be better to let the good ground of the local church handle the spiritual renewal of the populace. But he’s overruled and events unfold pretty much as he predicted.
In America today, it seems most churches have adopted the trappings and style of Elmer Gantry. Traditional hymns used to be about how mighty and awesome God was, or what pathetic sinners we were. Now they’re all love songs to Jesus, about how much he loves us. No mention of our sin. Or repentance.
After the praise team gets everybody riled up, the speaker comes out and harangues the crowd, not to present information or educate them but to further stimulate them
emotionally before the climax of the event, the altar call. The meeting style employs the exact same methods used in totalitarian party rallies. (But churches do it for all the “right reasons” of course.)
In the old days the preacher spoke about our sin, and the need for repentance, or things like dealing with problems in the Christian life, what it meant to be a disciple. Churches knew their main, even only task, was to train up disciples. Sunday school had serious lessons and Bible studies and prayer meetings were serious activities.
Today, the sermon is all about how much God loves you and how you can get your ticket to heaven. Every service ends in an altar call. The whole point is to get people to pray that prayer of salvation. There’s little or no effort to go much beyond that. Churches today are little more than Gantry’s traveling revival meeting.
He’d blow into town, rile everybody up, get a bunch of “decisions for Christ,” pocket their donations and then blow along into the next town along the line and do it again. His goal was getting people to “accept Jesus” so they’d pony up the funds to expand his ministry so he could do more of the same. Whether or not those new “Christians” ever actually repented or developed into effective disciples was left to local churches. (Actually Gantry didn’t really care. He was all about the cash.)
The problem today is, there’s nothing left but revival ministries. The local churches aren’t making disciples. They’re operated exactly like Gantry’s ministry with no concern for disciple making. And just as Gantry’s “ministry” ended in disaster, so have our Gantry wannabes.
American society today is post Christian. Churches are in decline. Sin is rampant. Christianity has lost most of its social influence. And it’s because we quit making disciples back in the 1970s.
You’ll never hear a sermon about repentance. No pastor will ever preach against abortion or divorce. Too many of his flock have already had one. Pastors are too afraid of offending people to ever condemn anything. They’re all about God’s love, but never his justice or judgment. God “loves you just the way you are.” There’s no need to repent. This is because the ones who run our churches see them as a permanent revival meeting.
According to the Barna poling organization “The year's research also underscored the fact that half of the people who attend Christian churches on any given weekend are not Christian - that is, they do not trust in Christ alone for their eternal salvation.”
Research reveals few congregants have a biblical worldview, half the people they minister to are not spiritually secure or developed, kids are fleeing from the church in record numbers, most of the people who attend worship services admit they did not connect with God, the divorce rate among Christians is no different than that of non-Christians, only 2% of the pastors themselves can identify God's vision for their ministry they are trying to lead, and the average congregant spends more time watching television in one day than he spends in all spiritual pursuits combined for an entire week.
In a national study only 7% of Christians identified spiritual wholeness and development as the factor that will produce a successful life. Barna went on to state: "The Christian faith commends sacrifice, servanthood and sharing as the means to significance. How is it possible to have more than 120 million adults attending Christian churches on a regular basis, but only 15 million who grasp the message that success is not about personal accomplishment or material possessions?"
Because churches have gone from seeing their mission as making disciples, to merely getting new people to pray that prayer of salvation and become regular church goers. (And hopefully put a little cash in the collection plate so we can expand the building program and seat more people.)
Sermons are no longer about sacrifice, servanthood and sharing but God’s love and how Christ’s sacrifice has gained you your own place in heaven just for the asking. Sunday school has changed from a serious Bible study, to a fellowship time designed to keep people coming back next week. Christianity has changed from a second chance, a new life of discipleship as a changed person, to a passive social activity to pass the time while we wait for Jesus to pick us up for our eternal heavenly vacation. Over a million people are currently in prison, (statistics from Prison Fellowship) one of the highest rates of incarceration in the world, certainly in American history. How can this be if three-quarters of the adult population have made a personal commitment to Christ?

Politics and Religion
The two topics banned from “polite” conversation are politics and religion. This is because in today’s polarized society we so often end up at each other’s throats over them.
Most people’s politics are determined by their religion, which is the basis of their worldview. This is why beliefs seem to come in a package.
On the one hand you have the right-wing fundamentalist anti-abortion gun rights fanatics campaigning for limited government and against gay marriage.
On the other you have the left-wing secular-humanist pro-choice anti-gun Obamunists campaigning for government-funded health care and against “homophobia.”
Most people fall into these two categories because the belief package is driven by worldview. It’s not an a la carte menu. (For a more elaborate development of this concept read my Conservatives are from Mars and Progressives are from Venus.)
People who believe in a supreme Creator also see abortion as murder, gun rights as essential to self defense and believe in limited government because people are inherently sinful and power corrupts.
Those who prefer instead to put their faith in evolution uphold a woman’s right to choose and believe mankind is ultimately perfectible if we can only get the “right” people into the government and give them the power to “educate” all these inbred right-wing Neanderthals holding society back from progressing to its evolutionary destiny.
Despite what people say, they didn’t come to these positions by being argued into them. Most were educated into their belief system by their parents. Any reason or evidence cited today is only justification after the fact.
Now, some people don’t believe the rubbish their parents taught them. When they became teenagers they saw the lack of evidence and rejected it, switching instead to another worldview they found more agreeable.
This is not to say there was no reason or evidence for whatever it was that their parents believed. But parents often don’t pass that along to their kids. They treat their beliefs as true because that’s what they believe and that’s what they were taught. They don’t generally feel the need to justify them, especially to a six-year-old.
And rebellious teenagers who reject their parent’s worldview usually gravitate to whichever one is guaranteed to annoy their parents the most. For example, we see this illustrated as the cultural stereotype of the preacher’s kid being the wildest and most sinful kid in town. But it works both ways. Prominent atheist Madalyn Murray O’Hare’s son became an outspoken Christian fundamentalist. (She’s the one who originally sued to take prayer out of public school.)
Rarely do people sit down with an open mind and try to examine all the religions to determine which one was true. They were either brought up in whatever they currently believe or ran across it somewhere and thought it looked cool and would annoy their parents. Most people are fairly ignorant of what other religions believe. They’ve found what works for them, so why bother?
Trying to discuss politics or religion with people who don’t share your foundational principles is just an exercise in exchanging factoids the other won’t accept. Since nothing productive comes of it, you’re just better off not going down that road, which is why “polite” company avoids those topics. But sometimes that’s hard to do.
Fanatics just don’t take changing the subject well. They keep going back to their pet topic. They just can’t take no for an answer. And I can understand this. I feel sorry for them spouting their ignorant drivel, enslaved to their cult-like thinking. I want to help them break free and find the Truth. I find it difficult not to respond. I can’t seem to take no for an answer.
But since most people’s beliefs aren’t determined by logic or reason, you’re not going to reason them out of theirs, or into yours. You’re just spinning your wheels until one of you gets frustrated at the other person’s ignorance (for not knowing the “truth”,) stupidity (for not accepting it,) or sheer bloody-minded wickedness. Then the yelling begins and feelings get hurt.
Your “facts” and logic have no effect because they’re not being reasonably considered. The other person is speaking out of foundational beliefs. These were laid down through emotional means, not rational argument. You can’t make a Christian into an atheist by mocking his God any more than you can get an atheist to accept Christ by spouting Bible verses at him.
The other side is trapped in an emotional response. Your evidence will be automatically rejected because the validity of that evidence is determined by whether it matches their worldview, not the other way ‘round. Their worldview is the standard, not any evidence. A person who is honestly open to new ideas and searching for Truth uses other means to evaluate the evidence, and then tests their worldview against the evidence to validate their worldview, not the evidence. But most people don’t do this. So how can we get the other person to reconsider their beliefs?
People trapped in cult thinking stay there because it’s comfortable. They went there in the first place because it met some psychological need, and they stay there in spite of the craziness of their ideas because to believe otherwise is acknowledging they were wrong to go there in the first place. And there’s nothing harder in the world than to get people to admit they’ve been wrong.
This is why drunks and drug addicts cling to their addiction. It meets some psychological need. (The physical addiction just makes things worse.) They can’t reform until they reach “bottom” and accept the habit will destroy them if they don’t quit. Addicts who don’t reach bottom continue to relapse until they do, or until the addiction kills them.
Unfortunately, being a mind-numbed dumb ass is not generally fatal. People often believe rubbish their entire lives with little physical harm. But the principle is the same. They can only become free if they acknowledge what they believe is nonsense. Professional deprogrammers do this by forcibly confronting them with evidence until they accept it. But we can’t really use those methods in polite conversation.
What we can do is an end-run around their emotional responses to force them to engage the logical parts of their brains.
First, when dealing with someone of a different persuasion, avoid arguing over absolutes. You want to deal with specifics. You can’t argue successfully against someone defending propositions like “Jews control the world” or “Black people are inferior.” They don’t accept your evidence and you think theirs is flawed. You’ll end up arguing like a couple little kids, “are not”–“are too”–“are not”–“are too.”
Don’t get sidetracked arguing factoids. You want him to stop reciting his catechism and engage the thinking part of his brain. Get him to explain how and why and who. You want specifics.
For example, you don’t want to talk about Jews in general; you want to talk about specific Jews. “Jews” is a nebulous category that means whatever the user thinks it means. In his mind it’s a group of rich, sinister (probably) Marxists with big noses out to do terrible things to the White Race. This is a mythological and emotional fantasy you can’t argue against, not with logic. But when you ground his fears to specific people, he might begin to see the absurdity of his all-encompassing conspiracy.
Which Jews control the world? Is it all Jews? Or just some of them? That guy Herbie Meyer who owns the deli up the street? Why’s the poor slob working six days a week making sandwiches if he controls the world? If it’s just some Jews, the all-encompassing excuse to persecute a whole race becomes just a rant about a few rich guys who happen to be Jewish.
As you discuss things, remain specific and ask questions. Nothing demolishes cult-like thinking like making the holder have to explain it logically to you. This was Socrates’ method, although it got him killed eventually. Some people would rather commit murder than accept the Truth.
If Jews control the world they must control China then, right? So do Chinese Jews control the Communist Party in Bejing? How about Russia? Is Putin a Jew? How about Iran? Do Jews control that country too? What about the rest of the Muslim world? How about this country? Do they control the Klan in Georgia? How about the Mafia?
How do they control the world? They own the banks? Which banks? All of them? Are you sure? Who exactly owns Chase? Or Wells Fargo? Whose name is on 51% of the stock? Do you even know? If not, how do you know if they’re Jews? How do you know it isn’t really Albanians who control the world but they just want everybody to think it’s the Jews?
Nothing is more erosive to a belief with poor foundations than the question why.
If Jews are trying to control the world, why are they doing it? Did God tell them to? I’ve never seen that in the Bible. Do you know the chapter and verse? Are we supposed to convert? Do they want us all to get circumcised? Why not? What’s the point of taking over the world if they aren’t going to convert us? Why is it the Jews you do see in positions of power are the most secular? If Communism is an insidious “Jewish” conspiracy why didn’t Karl Marx or Leon Trotsky ever go to synagogue? Why did they despise the religious Jews of their time? Why isn’t Israel a communist country? Is North Korea Jewish? (One of the lost ten tribes, no doubt.)
What you’re doing is forcing him to compare his theoretical “truth” to the real world. This is like getting a drug addict to explain why his drug habit is such a good idea. Charlie Sheen can do coke all day in his $20 million mansion and never see the need to change. But it’s a lot more difficult to resist facing the truth when you’re face down in the gutter, hungry and homeless.
You can’t argue someone out of what they believe. But if their beliefs are built on a foundation of sand, most people are reasonable enough to open up to new ideas if they’re allowed to realize this themselves and not be forced into a position where they have to publicly confess they were idiots. Let ‘em save face by not making it a debate with a winner and loser and you’re far more likely to get your point across, and more importantly, accepted.
Next time you meet a fanatic in polite conversation, don’t start marshalling facts and fashioning clever arguments. Stay away from making statements. That’s just you spouting your core beliefs. Instead, keep asking questions and let the nutcase discover for himself how crazy his ideas really are. You won’t win any arguments but you may make a few converts. And isn’t that what you want anyway?

Gravity is a Social Construct
Once upon a time there was a group of highly enlightened ones who discovered gravity was merely a social construct. They knew in their hearts if people just understood the truth, they could fly.
One day they took over society and began to re-educate the people. They took them atop a tall building and gestured over the edge. “Gravity is a social construct. It’s not real. Mind over matter.”
They chanted heroic slogans until someone nodded. “I believe,” he said. Then he leaped off the building.
The leaders looked down at his broken body spattered on the sidewalk. “He just didn’t do it right. Who’s next?” The others were reluctant, so the leaders grabbed a woman at random. As they threw her off the roof they cried, “Flap your arms! Gravity’s not real!”
She also lacked the proper class consciousness. But the leaders knew gravity was nothing more than a social construct. They persisted, re-educating their reluctant followers and having them jump (or be thrown) off the roof. Later they tried other buildings, cliffs, even constructed purpose-built towers, but there was no place that could “do it right.” Thousands of their followers, then millions, then tens and finally hundreds of millions died. All the while the leaders repeated, “You’re just not doing it right!”
Marxism in the Twentieth Century has killed a quarter billion people, and destroyed the economies of every country that practiced it, but Progressives keep repeating, “they just didn’t do it right.” And Socialism (Communism Lite) doesn’t work either. It’s just less destructive. Marxism in any form has never worked in any nation, culture, or situation in which it’s been tried.
Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.” The next time some mind-numbed Progressive cultist tells you, “But that wasn’t real communism. They didn’t do it right,” tell him this story.

Oppressed or Oppressor?
I recently ran across a fascinating video on YouTube by a Canadian psychologist about “Ideological possession.”

Ideological possession is similar to demonic possession except the possessor is an evil ideology rather than an evil spirit. It renders the possessed just as powerless. They’re merely puppets for the possessor. Being ideologically possessed alleviates any need for thinking. A fact goes in one ear, is compared to the “truths” of the ideological catechism and is filed according to the algorithm. It’s exactly like a computer program—no thinking involved. For example, a Progressive sees a White male speaking. Is he repeating the Progressive catechism? If yes, he’s right-thinking, a good person. No, means he’s an agent of the Right-wing Patriarchy—a fascist. You don’t actually have to pay any attention to the actual content of what he says. Facts, figures, arguments, evidence is all superfluous. All one needs is enough data to fit him into the proper ideological box.
To Progressives, other people aren’t individuals. We’re members of a class—male, female, trangendered, White, Black, Hispanic. We’re either Oppressed, or the Oppressor. This is why they can condemn a White male for being a patriarchial oppressor without knowing anything else about him—for all they know he’s homeless. But that wouldn’t matter. He’s a White male, by definition an oppressor. That he can’t even effectively oppress a stray dog is irrelevant. Reality doesn’t matter. “Truth” is what their ideology says is true. In their algorithm White + male = oppressor, and Black + female = oppressed, even if it’s Oprah.
It doesn’t matter if you personally aren’t racist. If the “class” you belong to is defined as racist—you’re guilty. We saw the same thinking in the Soviet judicial system—and for the same reasons. During the Russian revolution if your family owned a cow you were a Kulak, a bourgeoisie oppressor and therefore guilty of theft from “the People.” That you paid for the cow by saving from your factory salary was irrelevant and immaterial. All that mattered was your class identity. This is the same sort of seductive thinking one finds in cultists. By giving in to it the cultist is automatically a moral person. There’s nothing they have to do to improve themselves other than to just continue to believe. Anyone who disagrees is automatically either ignorant or Evil. The ignorant must be re-educated. The Evil are the Enemies of Humanity and must be destroyed.
Progressives are in favor of free speech—for right thinkers. Enemies of Humanity spout (by definition) Hate Speech and must be silenced. Progressives are in favor of free elections—unless their opponent is a fascist (i.e. not a Progressive.) In that case anything goes—vote fraud, intimidation, breaking up opposing rallies with violent attacks—whatever it takes. This is a war against the Enemies of Humanity. By definition anyone who opposes them is a White Supremacist, a Nazi in favor of oppression. The actual beliefs of their opponents are irrelevant. No need to talk to them. There are no individuals. If they’re White and male they are always oppressors. If they’re a person of color or female (or think they are) they are always oppressed.
This is the opposite of the scientific method. It’s the same way of thinking that led in the Middle Ages to literal witch hunts—except now our witches aren’t cat-loving old widows who dabble in herbalism—they’re White males.

For example, a Progressive sees a White male speaking. Is he repeating the Progressive catechism? If yes, he’s right-thinking, a good person. No, means he’s an agent of the Right-wing Patriarchy—a fascist. You don’t actually have to pay any attention to the actual content of what he says. Facts, figures, arguments, evidence is all superfluous. All one needs is enough data to fit him into the proper ideological box.
To Progressives, other people aren’t individuals. We’re members of a class—male, female, trangendered, White, Black, Hispanic. We’re either Oppressed, or the Oppressor. This is why they can condemn a White male for being a patriarchial oppressor without knowing anything else about him—for all they know he’s homeless. But that wouldn’t matter. He’s a White male, by definition an oppressor. That he can’t even effectively oppress a stray dog is irrelevant. Reality doesn’t matter. “Truth” is what their ideology says is true. In their algorithm White + male = oppressor, and Black + female = oppressed, even if it’s Oprah.
It doesn’t matter if you personally aren’t racist. If the “class” you belong to is defined as racist—you’re guilty. We saw the same thinking in the Soviet judicial system—and for the same reasons. During the Russian revolution if your family owned a cow you were a Kulak, a bourgeoisie oppressor and therefore guilty of theft from “the People.” That you paid for the cow by saving from your factory salary was irrelevant and immaterial. All that mattered was your class identity. This is the same sort of seductive thinking one finds in cultists. By giving in to it the cultist is automatically a moral person. There’s nothing they have to do to improve themselves other than to just continue to believe. Anyone who disagrees is automatically either ignorant or Evil. The ignorant must be re-educated. The Evil are the Enemies of Humanity and must be destroyed.
Progressives are in favor of free speech—for right thinkers. Enemies of Humanity spout (by definition) Hate Speech and must be silenced. Progressives are in favor of free elections—unless their opponent is a fascist (i.e. not a Progressive.) In that case anything goes—vote fraud, intimidation, breaking up opposing rallies with violent attacks—whatever it takes. This is a war against the Enemies of Humanity. By definition anyone who opposes them is a White Supremacist, a Nazi in favor of oppression. The actual beliefs of their opponents are irrelevant. No need to talk to them. There are no individuals. If they’re White and male they are always oppressors. If they’re a person of color or female (or think they are) they are always oppressed.
This is the opposite of the scientific method. It’s the same way of thinking that led in the Middle Ages to literal witch hunts—except now our witches aren’t cat-loving old widows who dabble in herbalism—they’re White males.

What Evil Is
Hollywood productions these days don’t seem to understand Evil. Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter movies is a perfect example. He’s ugly (bald and noseless) and seems to enjoy hurting people, even his closest associates, just for the sake of it. And when his Deatheaters trash the Quiddich Cup they seem more like a gang of vandals than a political terrorist group. At least when Al Quaida blows up a church in Baghdad, it’s to deliver a political message. The Deatheaters were simply having a good time. To Hollywood, Evil people are ugly, unpleasant, and disagreeable freaks who “just like to watch things burn.” I think the Hollywood Leftists who control the media think this way because it absolves them and their favorite political groups from ever being thought of as wicked. They’re beautiful and stylish and just want the best for society. ”Those damned fascist Republicans are the evil ones!”

Modern rock concerts today owe most of their theatrical techniques to 1930s Nazi Party rallies. And the Nazis introduced the Olympic tradition of running the torch up from Greece to the site of the games, turning the simple task of lighting the official torch at the opening of the games into a spectacular event.
The black uniforms of the SS were actually designed by Hugo Boss. They’re a cut above those of any contemporary military, making their rivals seem rather drab in comparison. Compare their slick black boots, death’s head insignia and silver embroidered rank badges to the doughty khaki outfits British officers wore. The dreary brown American dress uniforms of the period seem designed almost as camouflage the way the wearers blend into the background of any formal occasion. Yet the deeds of the SS during the war made even the bloody-handed Soviets seem like choirboys.
Those deeds were what made the Nazis Evil. They directly murdered twelve million Jews, Slavs, Gypsies, and other “sub-humans,” plus caused a world war that killed fifty million more—all in the name of “saving” Humanity.
According to Nazi philosophy, the Jews had contaminated the Human gene-pool, dragging us down from a formerly superhuman, magic-using civilization. Mankind was doomed unless we could breed the “Jew” out of our “bad blood.”
But it was how they acted on this belief that made them Evil with a capital E. They could have educated Germans on their theories, and peacefully urged Jews to emigrate elsewhere—but they didn’t. They decided to collect them into camps, and then exterminate them, as well as anyone else who resisted their crackpot theories.
The true nature of Evil is selfishness. The Nazis elevated their beliefs, their ideas, and their plans over everyone else’s. They didn’t persuade, they forced. Jews and Slavs weren’t people. Their lives had no value—not to the Nazis. All the Nazis saw was the wonderful Utopia they were creating on the bones of millions of what they saw only as vermin. Himmler thought it a great joke that the Zyclon B gas used in the extermination camps had originally been developed as a fumigation agent for getting rid of rats, mice and bugs. To the Nazis, the Final Solution was little more than an exercise in pest control.
For monumental Evil you need a monumental ego to think your ideas trump everyone else’s. Everyone must bend to your will, and die if that’s what’s necessary because, well, because you know better than anyone else. Other people are stupid; they make the wrong choices. They don’t know what’s good for themselves, so it’s up to you to make sure they do the right thing, even if they don’t want to. And if that means taking away choices, putting a few into reeducation camps or even killing them… well, can’t make omelets without breaking a few eggs, can you? And omelets sure are tasty—unless you’re a chicken.
The seed of that Evil lies inside each one of us. This is why when Christ summed up the entire Bible he said,
But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

Today we face another Great Evil, of greater magnitude than the Nazis—Progressivism. Progressive Leftists enforcing their political correct doctrines upon the world are motivated by the same selfish altruism as the Nazis. They’re determined to build their social justice utopia regardless of the cost. All of society must be fundamentally transformed—whether it wants to or not. No one can opt out. Just as the Islamic terrorists—also possessed by similar selfish ambitions—destroy thousands of years old cultural artifacts they deem “blasphemous,” Progressives must destroy any historical monuments they deem “racist.” It’s the same spirit, the same actions, the same Evil. Disagree and you end up crub-stomped by some Antifa storm trooper, beheaded by an Islamic terrorist, or stuffed into a Nazi gas chamber.
But the Nazis only had Germany. The other world powers were able to take them down (eventually.) Today Progressives control the entire Western World—Europe, Canada, the United States, Japan. They dominate Hollywood, the media, publishing, education, both of our major political parties, and most churches.
Worse, there’s very little resistance. We bomb the crap out of ISIS and spend billions fighting a “War on Terror” but our media won’t even condemn Antifa when they rampage and burn our own cities. Facebook, Google, Wikipedia, and Twitter censor information critical of Progressives. Hollywood fills theaters with propaganda movies. Educators stuff our children's heads full of Leftist dogma...and what do we do about it?
What do you do about it? Better pick a side, because if you just let them complete their plans you’ll either be fundamentally transformed or end up like those Jews and Gypsies. Not to resist is to support Evil.

People Believe What they Want to Believe
I’m a big fan of reason and I used to think people who believed differently than me were simply uninformed. I thought all they needed was the proper information and then they’d be fine. I’d been a member of my high school debate team and was active both in church and in politics so I had ample opportunity to try to set people straight. It took a long time—decades—but I’ve finally seen the error of my ways.
Truth is irrelevant.
Not that it doesn’t exist or any such post-modernist nonsense. No, there is such a thing as Truth. It’s just most people don’t want to know it. People believe what they want, and if it happens to correspond to reality, great. If not, they’ll find a way to work around it.
People say their beliefs are determined by the facts. But in reality, whether or not they accept those facts depends on whether those facts agree with their preconceived positions. If they really were open-minded, their beliefs would be determined by the facts, not the other way ‘round.
If you compare the evidence to what you already believe to see if the evidence measures up…you’re doing it backwards.
And I’m not excepting myself from this. I’ve been wrong before and stubbornly refused to accept the truth until there was no other option. To give you an example of this, I present the pre-tribulation rapture theory.
I used to believe Jesus was going to come seven years before his “Second” Coming to take away all the Christians in a secret “rapture.” I’m sure you’re familiar with this idea. Even if you’re not a Christian, between Hal Lindsey and the Left Behind series of books and movies, you’d have to live in a cave not to at least heard of it.
Over the years, I taught several “Bible” studies presenting the theory as fact. To tell the truth I didn’t know any better. There really isn’t much else available from any other viewpoint, not in bookstores these days. It’s not that nothing else has even been published on the topic. It’s just that dissenting books are long out of print, the authors dead and buried.
But it bugged me that logically if Jesus came first in the First Century to die for our sins, then the next time he came would be his second coming. The Rapture ought to be the “Second” Coming with his coming to conquer and rule the world at the end of the Tribulation being the third. But according to pre-trib theory, Jesus’ coming for the rapture doesn’t count as a coming because “his feet don’t touch the ground.” This never made sense to me. (Although it didn’t stop me from teaching it.)
I’d heard there were other viewpoints about the End Times, but I’d always been told they were wrong. But eventually I decided to look at the evidence anyway. You know…actually read the Bible rather than Hal Lindsey’s latest masterpiece of Groupthink. And wouldn’t you know it? I discovered I’d been full of crap all along.
I switched my beliefs because the evidence didn’t match. And I’ve done this a few other times, too. It’s never easy. You feel like a fool (for good reason) and have to admit you were wrong. It’s a lot easier and more comfortable to just discard the evidence, and most people prefer this to the truth.
You believe you’re rational. But when somebody presents you with evidence that contradicts something you believe, what do you do with it? If your first thought is “I know this so-called evidence is wrong because it contradicts something I know to be true” (i.e. your belief) you’re not being rational. It’s not scientific to accept or reject evidence for or against Global Warming merely because you already know the theory is true/false.
You need to actually consider the evidence. Take a good look at that hockey stick graph. Weigh the hundreds of leaked e-mails that demonstrate a widespread conspiracy between pro-warming scientists to skew their data. Examine the jump in global temperatures in the Roman and Medieval warming periods, long before any human industrial development could have caused it. Compare it to recent scientific studies that demonstrate that global temperatures are directly correlated to solar activity. then make a conclusion and be intellectually honest enough to change your beliefs if they don’t fit the evidence.
But most people prefer a comfortable falsehood to an inconvenient truth.

What’s Up with Facebook?
Facebook, Youtube, Spotify and other web services have recently announced they’re censoring “hate speech”--essentially anything conservative or Christian that criticizes political correctness or opposes the Progressive political agenda. Pod-casters have their videos demonetized, depriving them of income, with some videos tagged so they don’t even show up in searches.
I find recently when I try to share such sites on Facebook it often “can’t find the URL.” Some tagged posts that it graciously allows you to share won’t appear on friends’ walls—you see them on yours and think you shared it but they don’t see it. This is clearly an attempt at stealth censorship to keep anybody from noticing. The Progressive social justice warriors who run Facebook, Youtube, and most of the tech sites are purging the Internet of opposition. Why is this?
In Communist countries when the Communist Party seized power, the next thing they always did is eliminate all potential opposition. Non-communist political leaders, dissenting intellectuals, religious leaders, anyone who might organize opposition are all rounded up and either shot (Che Guevarra’s favorite solution) or sent to concentration camps to be re-educated (or to just die—either is equally acceptable to the Powers-that-be.) In 1948 in Czechoslovakia they even threw a prominent politician out a window to his death. Whatever it takes to protect their revolution.
The first six months of the Trump Administration have demonstrated his utter inability to “drain the swamp.” Obamacare lives. The tax cut he promised at his inauguration disappeared faster than the fog in Foggy Bottom. His handpicked cabinet has been smeared and forced to resign one by one, replaced by Insiders with ties to the big New York banks and the Council on Foreign Relations. After criticizing Bush and Obama’s aggressive foreign policy of intervening all over the world he’s had maritime incidents with Iran and China, shot down a Russian-allied Syrian fighter jet, threatened to nuke North Korea and send troops to Venezuela. So much for America First.
Only mobs with torches and pitchforks can “drain the swamp.” This won’t happen unless the People rise up as they did here in 1776, and in France in 1789, storming the barricades and destroying the Ruling Class. Only an armed and bloody revolution will do it.
Antifa thinks they’re rising up to overthrow Capitalism but somehow they only end up fighting protesters against the status quo. The Powers-that-be have been firmly Marxist since they murdered JFK back in 1963. They’re using Antifa to smash any opposition on the streets. But they also know the only way to organize a revolution that might turn them out is on the Internet.
The Progressive Revolution is complete. They control both political parties, Hollywood, Education, television news, publishing—all the high ground in the Culture War. They’re educating the next generation in Marxism. Government regulations are strangling businesses that aren’t on their side. They control what we watch and read. The only thing left is to neuter the opposition so we can never threaten their control.
But their hold isn’t that tight. There are still two hundred million people in America who aren’t brainwashed or on the public dole. If we rose up, there’s no way they could stop us, and they know this. So they have to do everything on the sly—a few people at a time. Soft repression. Stealth is what got them the power they currently enjoy.
Once upon a time it was said you could never boil a frog by just dropping it into a pot of boiling water. It’d panic and hop right back out. But if you put the frog into a pot of tepid water and raise the heat gradually, it won’t notice the change until it’s too late. For a century the Progressives have been doing this. It’s why they chose that name—Progressive, a little at a time. It won them Hollywood, TV, Education, the publishing industry and government. Even the Fox channel is being purged. In the last year Rodger Ailes, O’Reilly, Charles Paine and Eric Bolling have all been fired and Hannity is under attack. The constitutional conservatives are gone, while the Republican establishmentarians remain. The only thing left is the Internet.
Eventually this blog and all my writings are headed for the “memory hole”--to quote George Orwell’s book, 1984. The social justice warriors seem to think that book is a to-do list, not a warning. Meanwhile, a third of the nation is more interested in the latest episode of Survivor on the feelies while others enjoy the latest legalized recreational pharmaceuticals, and the rest argue over whether defending statues of the Founding Fathers makes you a Nazi. Somehow I don’t think Hitler was into Thomas Jefferson.

I find recently when I try to share such sites on Facebook it often “can’t find the URL.” Some tagged posts that it graciously allows you to share won’t appear on friends’ walls—you see them on yours and think you shared it but they don’t see it. This is clearly an attempt at stealth censorship to keep anybody from noticing. The Progressive social justice warriors who run Facebook, Youtube, and most of the tech sites are purging the Internet of opposition. Why is this?
In Communist countries when the Communist Party seized power, the next thing they always did is eliminate all potential opposition. Non-communist political leaders, dissenting intellectuals, religious leaders, anyone who might organize opposition are all rounded up and either shot (Che Guevarra’s favorite solution) or sent to concentration camps to be re-educated (or to just die—either is equally acceptable to the Powers-that-be.) In 1948 in Czechoslovakia they even threw a prominent politician out a window to his death. Whatever it takes to protect their revolution.
The first six months of the Trump Administration have demonstrated his utter inability to “drain the swamp.” Obamacare lives. The tax cut he promised at his inauguration disappeared faster than the fog in Foggy Bottom. His handpicked cabinet has been smeared and forced to resign one by one, replaced by Insiders with ties to the big New York banks and the Council on Foreign Relations. After criticizing Bush and Obama’s aggressive foreign policy of intervening all over the world he’s had maritime incidents with Iran and China, shot down a Russian-allied Syrian fighter jet, threatened to nuke North Korea and send troops to Venezuela. So much for America First.
Only mobs with torches and pitchforks can “drain the swamp.” This won’t happen unless the People rise up as they did here in 1776, and in France in 1789, storming the barricades and destroying the Ruling Class. Only an armed and bloody revolution will do it.
Antifa thinks they’re rising up to overthrow Capitalism but somehow they only end up fighting protesters against the status quo. The Powers-that-be have been firmly Marxist since they murdered JFK back in 1963. They’re using Antifa to smash any opposition on the streets. But they also know the only way to organize a revolution that might turn them out is on the Internet.
The Progressive Revolution is complete. They control both political parties, Hollywood, Education, television news, publishing—all the high ground in the Culture War. They’re educating the next generation in Marxism. Government regulations are strangling businesses that aren’t on their side. They control what we watch and read. The only thing left is to neuter the opposition so we can never threaten their control.
But their hold isn’t that tight. There are still two hundred million people in America who aren’t brainwashed or on the public dole. If we rose up, there’s no way they could stop us, and they know this. So they have to do everything on the sly—a few people at a time. Soft repression. Stealth is what got them the power they currently enjoy.
Once upon a time it was said you could never boil a frog by just dropping it into a pot of boiling water. It’d panic and hop right back out. But if you put the frog into a pot of tepid water and raise the heat gradually, it won’t notice the change until it’s too late. For a century the Progressives have been doing this. It’s why they chose that name—Progressive, a little at a time. It won them Hollywood, TV, Education, the publishing industry and government. Even the Fox channel is being purged. In the last year Rodger Ailes, O’Reilly, Charles Paine and Eric Bolling have all been fired and Hannity is under attack. The constitutional conservatives are gone, while the Republican establishmentarians remain. The only thing left is the Internet.
Eventually this blog and all my writings are headed for the “memory hole”--to quote George Orwell’s book, 1984. The social justice warriors seem to think that book is a to-do list, not a warning. Meanwhile, a third of the nation is more interested in the latest episode of Survivor on the feelies while others enjoy the latest legalized recreational pharmaceuticals, and the rest argue over whether defending statues of the Founding Fathers makes you a Nazi. Somehow I don’t think Hitler was into Thomas Jefferson.
