New Book Reveal - Hell Without You (Coming Soon!)

Lately I've been hinting around about a new book reveal, and today's the day. Not long ago, I blogged about my writing and publishing plans for the rest of 2013. This is the "surprise" project I mentioned (not part of a series). Hell Without You will release on September 9th. Time changes everything, except what’s meant to be.Seven years is a long time – long enough to transform Clementine from a small-town teenager with a broken heart into a woman ready to take on the world, but not long enough to make her forget about the man she was never supposed to see again. A temporary return to tiny Willow Heights thrusts her back into Donovan’s life and home, unearthing heartbreak and obsession that have stood the test of time.He left seven years ago too, for war and other things Clementine can only imagine. Coming back to the town where he grew up in the shadow of poverty and drug addiction makes no sense, and neither do Clementine’s feelings for him. He could never forgive her for leaving, could he? Even if she had no choice.Now, she has the freedom to choose … and so does he. Every day in Willow Heights makes it clearer: all he ever really wanted was her, and nothing will change that. Not even a taste of the hell that drove them apart in the first place.Novel releasing September 9th, 2013 as an ebook and in paperback.In the very near future, look for Chapter 1 on my website. I'm really looking forward to sharing it so readers can meet Donovan & Clementine. :) (Link will be posted on my site's Coming Soon page.)

On another note, I'll be signing paperbacks of Hell Without You next month at Lora Leigh's RAW. The signing will be on Sunday, September 22 at the Clarion Hotel in Hagerstown, MD. If you'll be there, I look forward to seeing you!

Cover Reveal: Hidden Destiny (Redwood Pack) by Carrie Ann Ryan

I've got something gorgeous to show off on the behalf of a friend - a new cover! I know many of my paranormal readers love Carrie Ann's Redwood Pack, and this is the sixth installment in that series - North's story.

North Jameson has always held his wolf closer to the surface then others. He's the quiet one, the one no one really knows about yet he holds the darkest secret. He’s watched his brothers find their mates and start families, and now it was his turn. He knows Lexi could be his and her son could be part of his family, but he doesn't know if he's ready to share the darkness that's entwined with his soul.
Lexi Anderson is a mother, a sister, a latent wolf, and a new member of the Redwood Pack. She’s also holding secrets so close to her heart she’s not even sure she knows the truth anymore. When North takes another step closer to wanting to cement their bond, Lexi must come to grips with her past and what it means for her future. The Centrals’ war isn’t over yet and Lexi’s life is on the line as the paths they've chosen takes a drastic turn.
* * * * *A note from Carrie Ann...
Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for much for stopping by to see my new cover for Hidden Destiny. I love this one. The background, couple…everything. Scott Carpenter, my artist, did an amazing job. Also, one of my favorite authors, gave me a cover quote that made me cry.
Carrie Ann Ryan writes sexy shifters in a world full of passionate happily-ever-afters” – NYT Bestselling author, Vivian Arend

* * * * *Sounds exciting, right? Thanks for stopping by to help me celebrate Carrie Ann's cover reveal. If you love shifters you don't want to miss out on the Redwood Pack and if you love the Redwood Pack, Hidden Destiny will be a must-read. :)

Coming Soon: New Book News, New Book Looks & Lots of Pink, Apparently

Happy Friday. :) This weekend marks the end of an exciting week for me (I say that as if I'm not going to work straight through it, LOL). Since I have several things to share, this is one of those news round-up posts where I just list it all. So here goes!
First: new book news. Remember the other week when I blogged about my writing / publishing plans for the rest of the year? Well, I listed several projects that I plan to release before 2013 comes to an end, and soon I'll be announcing which one you can expect first. I'll be making the announcement later in August.
And I'm looking forward to sharing (as usual). Until I reveal the news it's just me saying things like "I'm so excited!" ten times a day to my editor and default confidant. And yeah, that gets old pretty fast. Especially for my editor. LOL
* * *
In other book-related news, Battered Not Broken has received a cover update. The new design is much like the old one, but blue-er and better. I figured anyone who's read BNB (or Rough Around the Edges) has pictured Ryan with his Super Snake (*ahem* the car, of course) and therefore knows how good he looks in blue. Here's the new look:

Soon, the new cover will be displaying at all retailers (it's already live at some) and paperback copies will be printing this way. This cover was designed for me by the amazing Talina Perkins of Bookin' it Designs. Thank you, Talina!
* * *
Speaking of Talina and her beautiful designs, she also recently created a new desktop wallpaper for me. This one's for the Inked in the Steel City Series and you can download it free (in the size of your choice) here at my site.

* * *
It's no secret that I've been busy with the release of Dedicated Ink (Inked in the Steel City, #3), which came out 10 days ago. Thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate - your kind words and enthusiasm mean a lot. And of course, thank you x 1,000,000 to the readers who've placed the book on so many retailers' best-seller lists, even recently making it the #1 book in the Australian Apple iBookstore!
I'm so glad there's this kind of interest in the Inked in the Steel City Series, because I don't plan to stop writing new installments any time soon. There are still some members of the staff who haven't found love yet, after all. ;)
If you want to be the first to know when new books in the series release, you can sign up for the Inked in the Steel City new release mailing list below. Subscribers will receive a notification e-mail each time a new book in the series is released. That’s it. No spam, no other e-mails, and your contact info is kept completely private.

* * *Lastly, on a personal note, this week I finally got to find out the baby's gender! I say finally because it always feels like an eternity, waiting for the halfway-point ultrasound. Much like I bombard my editor with "I'm so excited!" daily when I've got a new book I'm itching to reveal, I'm pretty sure I said "I'm so excited / I can't wait to find out!" to DH every day for weeks leading up to the appointment.
And now I finally know ... it's a girl!

A baby of either gender would've been welcomed, but you know what this means? I will no longer be the sole female in my household. My family (both immediate and extended) is severely imbalanced when it comes to the male / female ratio. Guys everywhere! Well, looks like I'll be evening the playing field this winter.

When he walks into the Hot Ink Tattoo Studio looking for much more than some new ink, she risks their rekindled connection by confessing that she’s pregnant … with his twins.

Sworn to serve and protect, Pittsburgh police officer Sam isn’t one to back down from responsibility, and he’s definitely not going to let the woman who’s been haunting his dreams all summer get away again. But two babies on the way means a reunion that’s anything but what he imagined. Can unforgettable chemistry evolve into real love before her due date arrives?

More Ink, Shifters & Surprises - Writing & Publishing Before the Baby Arrives

You know how retailers run 'Christmas in July' sales? Or TV networks use the phrase as a reason to run a stream of holiday movies in the middle of summer?
It makes it sound like the holidays are so far away, but when I really think about it, it almost feels like they're just around the corner. Maybe it's because writing and publishing books requires so much thinking ahead, or maybe it's the deadlines that make time fly. Either way, I can't stop thinking about how Christmas is actually only five months (one day less than five months, actually) away.
And I know that time will fly, especially since I'll be having a baby around New Year's.
It probably goes without saying that there's a lot I'd like to get done before then. When it comes to writing, I've been thinking a lot about what, exactly, I'll realistically be able to get done before the year's end, and working to make it happen.
I thought readers (especially series readers) might like to know what to expect from me in the second half (well, less than half!*gulp*) of 2013, too.
I don't like to set anything that hasn't been written yet in stone, but here's what I hope to bring to the table before the holidays strike...A new Half Moon Shifters bookA new Inked in the Steel City bookA surprise
Both series are up to three books now (well, come Monday, which is officially Inked in the Steel City #3 release day, they will be) and it's my goal to release the fourth installments of each by this winter. And I've been working on a surprise project that I just might be able to add to my 2013 release schedule too.
Not that I'm going to drop off the face of the planet or retire my keyboard after the new baby arrives (my early books were written while my son was an infant, and I don't even know what it's like to have a child in school), but obviously, I'm going to have a lot on my plate and making the most of the remainder of 2013 is extra-important to me now.
I hope my Inked in the Steel City and Half Moon Shifters readers will be as happy to have a new series installment in the coming months as I'll be to have them out there.
Oh, and...

Couldn't resist. :) Not the end of my writing world, I promise. I plan to take both Inked in the Steel City and Half Moon Shifters beyond Book 4.
A few people have asked me whether I'll 'stop' or 'take a break' from writing when the baby is born. Well, obviously a short break (it's not like I'm going to be typing away in the hospital, or performing a postpartum sprint to my office), but I think that what those people don't comprehend is that writing is my full-time job (not to mention my passion!), not a hobby. Of course I'm not going to stop. In a few months I'll probably be telling you about my plans for 2014. ;)
