Tantalizing Talks! Winter Holiday EditionVictim #7: Amber...

Tantalizing Talks!
Winter Holiday Edition

Victim #7: Amber Garr
Welcome, everyone, to Tantalizing Talks: Winter Holiday Edition! For our first holiday victim of my completely ridiculous and unconventional Q&A, we have the uber-talented, paranormal author Amber Garr! I’m reading Promises (The Syrenka Series) right now, and I can PROMISE you (hee, hee—sorry, I’m feeling punny) it is absolutely amazing! Her world where mermaids and selkies blend into the modern world is wonderfully realistic. Our heroine, the conflicted mermaid, Eviana, is being forced to choose between her duty to family and her heart. Her predicament reminds me a bit of Romeo and Juliet. Of course, her “Paris” is WAY more tempting than Shakespeare’s “other guy” from his famous tragedy. (Right now, I’m “Team Kain.”) However, this is more than a love story. I can feel danger lurking around the corner, getting ready to pounce. I love this world Amber has created, and I know you will, too. Let’s hear what she has to say . . .

THE AUTHOR:

1.) Your favorite holiday movie and why?
Shaun of the Dead - that counts for Halloween, right? Oh, but for Christmas…I’d have to say A Christmas Story. My aunt made us watch this every single Christmas when we would visit the family! It will forever be engraved into my brain.
2.) Three of your favorite holiday things?
The smell of fresh pine trees (makes me miss PA), decorating the tree, and collecting a new ornament (kind of a family tradition).
3.) Where you live and who lives with you?

In sunny Florida with my husband, a dog, and two cats.
4.) The best thing about where you live?
It’s nice pretty much every day of the year. Might get hot sometimes, but you get used to it.
5.) The worst thing about where you live?

It gets hot sometimes - which means people blast the air conditioning and then I’m always cold!
6.) Currently your favorite author and why?
Ooh, tough one. It’s a tossup between Kelley Armstrong and Richelle Mead.
7.) Quote by your favorite author of all-time?

How about a favorite quote? “Be obscure clearly.” E.B. White

Promises (The Syrenka Series, #1) THE BOOK:

1) Name of the main character and three adjectives to describe him/her?
Eviana Dumahl - tenacious, passionate, loyal
2) If your main character could be any season—Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter—what would he/she be? Why?
Spring - she goes through a period of transformation and awakening in numerous ways throughout the series…just like nature gets a new beginning each spring.
3) Name of the villain or antagonist in your story and three verbs to describe him/her?

Lucian Sutherland - manipulative, psychotic, obsessive
4) If your villain were a winter element (a blizzard, icy wind, stinging sleet, a frost, or icicles), what would he/she be and why?
An icy wind - sometimes those sneak up on you and take you by surprise.
5) Describe the main plot of your story in one sentence.
A young teenage mermaid is forced to decide between love and duty, and when she chooses wrong, her world will change forever.
6) The best theme of your story?
Actions have consequences.
7) One of your favorite sentences in your book?
Now I had a water sprite in an old bottle that I was getting ready to release into my bathroom.
 8) One thing you’d like readers to know about the world you created or the characters in them?

They are young and learning, especially Eviana. So bear with her as she grows into the leader she’s expected to be.Thank you ever so much, Amber, for joining us today! I know readers are as excited as I am about your story. You can all find Amber's links below and look into her wonderful books. And aren't her covers just beautiful! Amber will visit us AGAIN later this month to share with us her latest novel and a special project (that I'm giddily thrilled to be a part of), FURTHERMORE.

LIVING IN THE DARK IS HERE!

It completely baffles me that LitD is now out there in the real world but it feels like the greatest adventure I'm going to embark on. Yes, that was completely cheesy....I apologise. It's so difficult to pick an excerpt when every sentence is so dear to me but I thought I'd go with this one. Eric is one of my favourite characters, every scene I wrote him into had me grinning from ear to ear. So without further ado:
“You don’t normally wear hats, Em,” Eric commented as I met him outside the arcade. My cheeks flushed as I self-consciously pulled the beanie a little farther down my head to hide the bandage.“Maybe I wanted to surprise you?” It didn’t throw him off the scent as I’d hoped, but he knew I wouldn’t admit what happened.Eric took a deep breath and raised his eyebrows as we trudged down the street. “So...” He wasn’t going to make it easy for me.“Who have you got for Registration this year?”“Oh, Mr. Carter.”“The Physics teacher?”“That’s the one. The Bogeyman!” Eric swooped beside me and tried to dig his fingers into my sides.I smiled as I dodged him and couldn’t help but give him a playful punch. “It wasn’t bad enough that you caught him digging for gold so now he has to put up with your face for the next year?” Eric’s jaw dropped in mock disgust. “What’s wrong with my face?” His hands pawed at his perfectly chiselled jaw.“Oh you know, you just have a little something,” I waved my hand in a circle in front of him, “right around here.”“Your words cut me to the very core, Em.” A wry smile passed over his handsome face, and my stomach clenched in response.“I’m sure you’ll survive. Maybe you and Mr. Carter could comfort each other?”“Maybe you’re right. Maybe I’ll tell Mr. Carter about crying myself to sleep at night because you don’t like my face.”“I didn’t say that.” A wicked gleam leaped into his brown eyes, and a grin stretched at my cheeks. “So you like my face?”“I didn’t say that, either.”
What do you think? I'm so excited about the release that I am also giving away five electronic copies of the book. FIVE! FURTHERMORE . . .

As promised yesterday, I've got some details about my next release that I'm uber excited about.First and foremost: the name.FURTHERMOREWhy? You may ask. Well this name has a double meaning (I love those). The first, each author involved in this anthology provides a further look into their series. Perhaps it's a short story told from a different POV. Maybe it's an extra scene. Whatever the case, you're given a new glimpse into their world. And second, 100% of proceeds will go to further more cancer research. It's as simple as that. After our release on December 11th, all proceeds from paperback, kindle, nook, and any other digital formats will be donated to the American Cancer Society. So with further ado, we'd love for you to get involved. The form below provides additional details on how you can help us kick cancer's ass.Loading...
If you want to help further, use this link to share the form with others:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGVmMWR4dUdTWXc3MHhNXzdObVdvV2c6MQ Or grab the HTML to share this form on your own blog:<iframe frameborder="0" height="1400" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/e..." width="600">Loading...</iframe>  Meet the authors of FURTHERMORE   Rebekah Campbell  All in a Day's Work (As part of the Darkness Through the Light series) Surprise Visitor While it seems as though everything is crumbling around her, Emily can still see glimmers of light. One particular glimmer takes the form of her hot best-friend-turned-boyfriend, Eric Baker. Unfortunately, Emily’s suspension from school leaves her with a lot of time to fill. What she doesn’t realise is that today is about to fill up quite nicely.
Getting to Know the Heavies  Normally, you will find the two Sullivan bodyguards running errands for their intimidating employer, leaving destruction and pain in their wake. But Miles and Tai are still human beings underneath it all. And everyone has a weakness.
People Change Dennis Baker has spent the last sixteen years trying to raise his son the best way that he can. When Eric asks him a question about his mother, it’s time to go back to where it all began and then went so badly wrong. David Estes The Runaway - Tawni's Story (As part of The Dwellers Saga) In The Moon Dwellers, Adele befriended an upbeat and unusual girl named Tawni, whose life was inexplicably linked to hers in ways she has only begun to understand. Wrongfully confined to a juvenile prison—the Pen—together, they began a journey of hope, friendship, and family that would change them both forever. But what happened to Tawni before being sent to the Pen? How did she end up in such an awful place? And why did she run from a life of privilege and luxury? Find out in the short story, The Runaway - Tawni’s Story.
The Life Lottery - A Story from Year Zero (As part of the Evolution Trilogy) Before the creation of the Tri-Realms, and before there were moon dwellers, the inhabitants of the earth lived in relative safety. But then a massive meteor locked on a collision course with our planet. U.S. scientists had predicted it for years, using a substantial government-funded budget to carry out their contingency plan—a series of extraordinary caves and tunnels deep below the surface of the earth. Despite their efforts, however, when the harbinger of Armageddon arrived, there wasn’t enough room for every U.S. citizen. Not nearly enough, in fact. A mere one percent of the population would be able to enter the hidden sanctuaries and start a new life. Who would be chosen? Who would be left to die above? No one could predict the outcome of The Lottery.
Amber Garr Cold Feet & Rift (As part of The Syrenka series) Eviana and her friends live in a hidden world at the precipice of civil war. Their powers are new, their responsibilities daunting. Forced to decide the fate of their kind, a decision made in haste will have lasting repercussions. When Eviana chooses to run away from it all, she hurts those who love her most, especially her fiancé.  Ever wonder how Kain felt on their wedding day? Or how the return trip to California tested the bounds of Eviana’s relationship with her friends? In Cold Feet, Kain witnesses Eviana’s deceit and is forced to deal with the consequences of her behavior. In Rift, Daniel encourages the group to make a detour to the Grand Canyon, as the distance between the friends begins to rival the great ravine. Discovery & Human Resources(As part of The Leila Marx Novels) Leila is different. Her touch clairvoyant abilities set her apart from most, but she’ll soon learn that she is not alone. When exploring the psychic community of her new city, she meets Terez. A true clairvoyant in every sense of the word, Terez quickly recognizes Leila’s talents. In Discovery, Leila’s first encounter with her mentor is nothing short of memorable. Excited to be an entrepreneur, Mac overestimates his ability to hire an employee. Tired of interviewing humans, he uses his fae powers to keep himself entertained. That is, until Blake walks through the door. Reminding him of his past, Mac is thrilled to find one of his own. In Human Resources, Blake finds a new job while Mac finds a new friend. Karen Amanda Hooper The Sound of Love(As part of The Kindrily Series) Glimpse into one of Nathaniel’s previous lives and see how his soul mate reacts when tragedy strikes. Stephanie Judice Rapture (As part of the Saga of the Setti series) Muirne's Melody 1352 A.D. — Muirne is a slave in the land of Icelandic barbarians. Captured from her Celtic clan, she now serves in the home of Torvald—watchful and silent. On this night’s gathering, her angelic voice and beauty entrances everyone, especially her master. Torvald’s desire sets her on a path toward her true destiny, one that will bind her to a green-eyed stranger and a perilous future. As a dark evil approaches, Muirne is given the power of a Sounder, the first one to ever walk the earth. Jeremy's Heart  Present Day — Jeremy is the cocky, confident Sounder of Homer’s clan. Nothing can touch Jeremy, or so they think. Behind the suave, swaggering exterior, there are fractures threatening to pull him apart. The lack of love as a child, the loss of a dear friend, and the unknown future loom before him as the Setti prepare for the next battle with the Reapers. The last thing he expected at this point in his life was... love. Fall from Grace Near Future—Svegja was once a Setti, having lost the right to call himself a soldier of light. He walks in the dark, accepting its cold embrace. For over a millennium, he has been content with his loss, with his lot, but meeting the Guardian Clara has changed things. She reminds him of himself before the change, before the darkness. Recognizing this aching feeling inside, he does not want to go on alone. He longs for a future where he no longer bends his knee to the King of Beasts, Bolverk. He wants the crown for himself. Now he must plan to win Clara’s obedience by persuasion or by force. Leigh Michael Fate(As part of Annabelle's Story) Annabelle Walsh thought she had it all. She was living every girl’s dream – until her life was turned upside down. All starting with finding out that she's not just a human, but also a water spirit. Half-human, half-sprite to be exact. Although not just any sprite, Annabelle is prophesied to be the only one who can save both the sprites and mankind. Annabelle’s Story is a two-part tale that chronicles Annabelle’s mission to fulfill her fate. Through Annabelle’s first person prose, we’re given an inside look into her fears, her hesitation, her disbelief, her courage, her hopes, and ultimately her dreams. But what about the other characters that bring Annabelle’s Story to life? Each character whose destiny becomes a reality upon setting eyes on Annabelle? Fate retells this beloved story through the thoughts of Adrian, Aurelia, Blake, and Katherine. These are their parting words.

COVER REVEAL AND TANTALIZING TALKS

Tantalizing Talks!  Victim #6: Rebekah Campbell Welcome back, book lovers! Holy schmoly, it has been WAY too long since our last “TT” event! I apologize from the bottom of my heart. (Let me blame it on the pre-release and launch of RESISTANCE, which literally consumed me from September through October.) Now that I’ve done the appropriate amount of groveling and begging forgiveness, let me tell you about Victim #6, Rebekah Campbell! I am so insanelyexcited to introduce this author and her debut novel Living in the Dark ! Her paranormal YA is new, fresh, and as the title implies, a bit on the dark side. You will SO want to go there the minute you read page one. Her unlikely heroine is Emily, an orphan living with an abusive uncle. When she experiences a tragedy no teenager should suffer, something awakens in her, a "monster" that has a life of its own. It reminds me a bit of Stephen King's Firestarter if you know that book. Serious tone with simmering drama. Here's the blurb:

LIVING IN THE DARK . . .

Experiences can make us or break us and it's no different for sixteen-year-old Emily.

Living under the roof of her abusive Uncle, Emily is brutally attacked by a gang and wakes up from a coma with no recollection of the accident.

As the amnesia starts to clear, Emily realises that her memory is not the only thing coming back to her from the accident. There's also a wild, angry power that she has to control before it destroys her and everyone else.

So the question remains: Will Experience make her or break her?
In addition to an outstanding first novel, Rebekah is just top notch herself. She is witty, charming, and just plain fabulous. I adore her, and so will you! Let's see what she has to say . . . THE AUTHOR: 1.) A simile that best describes you? I’m a bit like a train. I start off really slowly (especially first thing in the morning) and then I gain momentum until I eventually run out of steam. 2.) Three of your favorite things? * Music. If I didn’t have books or music in my life, I don’t know what I would do with myself! *Pyjama days. There’s nothing quite like snuggling up in your bed, wearing a onesie and diving into a new book. *Handbags. I’m a bit of a fiend when it comes to handbags, I have so many stashed in a box that I never ever use because they’re too pretty. 3.) Where you live and who lives with you? I was raised in England but I now live in Scotland, sharing a flat with my best friend. It’s an old Victorian house that’s been converted and we love it; it’s like our very own Tardis. We just need to find David Tennant… 4.) The best thing about where you live? The people are so nice in the town I live in and the scenery is just beautiful. Within twenty minutes I could be up in the mountains, sat next to a waterfall or skipping across a beach. 5.) The worst thing about where you live? It’s cold. Sooooo cold. I suppose you get used to it once you turn blue. Plus, the accent is pretty cute. 6.) Currently your favorite author and why? Ilona Andrews hands down. They’re a married couple that writes together and they just captivate me with every single story they write. Their characters are so well developed for each plot and they’ve perfected the ultimate action/humour balance. 7.) Quote by your favorite author of all-time? “People treat you as badly as you let them treat you. Key word there: let.” By Karen Marie Moning. So true, you have to stick up for yourself and not let anybody tear you down. Sometimes there isn’t always someone there to help you back up. ……That’s way too deep for a weekday! THE BOOK:
This is also the official COVER RELEASE for LIVING IN THE DARK. Isn't it amazing?

1) Name of main character and three adjectives to describe him/her? The book is told from alternate POV but the main character in the middle of it all is Emily. I would say she’s mainly willful, introverted and sincere. 2) If your main character could be earth, wind, fire, or water, what would he/she be? Why? She would be fire. Emily isn’t one for hypocrisy, if she gets a whiff of double standards then she’ll take it to heart. That girl has one bad temper. 3) Name of villain or antagonist in your story and three verbs to describe him/her? There are actually three antagonists in the story and they each play different parts. First of all, Uncle Norman. He’s grotesque, resentful and just plain cruel. Poor Emily also has to put up with the school bully, Carrie Sullivan. She’s spiteful, determined and selfish. (I love to hate her!). Because the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, we have Michael Sullivan too. He’s powerful, manipulative and influential. 4) If your villain were any flavor ice-cream, what would he/she be and why? That’s so difficult! Norman would have to be a lemon sorbet because he’s so bitter. Carrie would be Raspberry Ripple because of the red hair and the extra zingy taste. Michael would be Dublin Mudslide, he’s Irish and smooth with a bit of a kick. 5) Describe the main plot of your story in one sentence. Emily Jenkins has had enough. She won't be bullied anymore, but standing up for herself also means unearthing emotions and secrets that would be better off buried. 6) The best theme of your story? It has to be about how we can grow as a person. When we go through different situations, we all have to make a decision to either grow as a person or let it poison us. I won’t tell you what Emily decides. A lot of people don’t realize how much bullying can affect you and there’s just no need for anyone to be that cruel. 7) One of your favorite sentences in your book? There are a couple of sentences that come to mind, especially from Eric’s dad. The one that stands out though is from Emily. “A little man with a tie clip behind a big desk can take on the world.”8) One thing you’d like readers to know about the world you created or the characters in them? I suppose I would like them to know that it’s not the end of Emily’s story. The characters have bullied me into writing another two books for the series, even though it was originally a stand-alone. The world I created may seem quite dark but there are light moments in there, too. Moments that every day should have more of I’d also like to say that Emily’s situation is one that a lot of people can find themselves in today. So we should each make ourselves more “aware” of the way we act towards others. Thank you so much for having me, Steph. Some of these questions stumped me but they were so much fun to answer! You’re such a fantastic writer and the fact you are so genuine and eager to help others is truly humbling. Thank YOU, Rebekah, for stopping by and sharing thoughts on your awesome new novel! And I have to admit, I am SO jealous of where you live. I swear, I'm more than cyber-stalking you, I'm just going to show up on your Victorian doorstep one of these days. So, look out for a giggly, redheaded American cruising through your town. :) Speaking of stalking, readers, please see below for links to check out Rebekah's book and blog! LAST DAY OF CHARACTER QUEST: GABE IS HERE!

We have come to our 7th and final day of the Resistance Character Quest. For our final day, we are welcoming Gabe to the blog!

Gabe's Bio: Vanquisher in Homer’s clan, Gabe is a compassionate, giving leader, but sometimes brooding and introspective. While leadership is a natural role for him, he sometimes longs to be the one who is taken care of.

Welcome, Gabe. Glad to have you here to SUBDUE our snooping minds! Let's get down to the nitty gritty of it all...

What’s your favorite book?
1984 by George Orwell. My favorite short story is “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut. Funny, I was always drawn to dystopian stories in high school, and now look where I’m at.
What worries you most these days?
Never getting rid of the reapers, never getting back to normal, never getting back home. But mostly, losing those I care about.
What do you like most about Clara? Least?
What I like most? Her smile, her honesty, her eyes. The way she bites her lip when she’s thinking about something. Least? When she closes herself off to me. I can’t help her when she pushes me away. Sometimes, I wish I was a Tracer like Homer so I could just talk to her directly mind-to-mind. I wonder if she could block me out then. Hmmm…that’s something I’ll have to ask Homer.
In your Setti clan, who is the most difficult to live with and why?
Well, no one is really difficult, but Ben snores really loud sometimes. Honestly, I’m probably the most difficult because I tend to always think I’m right about things. (Of course, that’s because I usually am.)
What’s a quote that would represent your life right now?
“Faithless is he who says farewell when the road darkens.” J.R.R. Tolkien

Thanks so much for stopping by and chatting with us today, Gabe. It's been great having you here!

CHARACTER QUEST: DAY 6!

Welcome to day #6 of the Resistance Character Quest. We hope you are all finding our bios and questions interesting and enlightening. Today we are privileged to welcome Sonya to the blog.

Sonya's Bio: Vanquisher for Herrald’s clan. There is no one who will tell you like it is the way Sonya will—whether you like it or not. She’s strong-willed almost to a fault. Jeremy’s nickname for her is “she-cat.” And she totally deserves it.

It's so great to have you with us here today, Sonya! We're glad you stopped by to QUELL our inquisitive minds! On with our interview...

What is your favorite movie? Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino. Uma Thurman kicks ass in that movie. So cool.
What is a special childhood memory? Well, I certainly don’t divulge this kind of information often, but I’ll be honest with you. My favorite childhood memory was Christmas when I was 9 years old. My dad was on tour in Afghanistan, and I knew he wouldn’t be home in time. Still, I also knew that he would send me something special. That morning, it was just Mom, Grandpaw and me. I kept opening presents, every time hoping it was the special one from Dad. After opening everything under the tree, Mom finally gave me a small, red-wrapped package the size of a jewelry box.
The way my mom smiled with tears in her eyes, I knew this was the one. But what could it be? The box was so light. My dad knew I didn’t care for jewelry, not really. I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy. Very excited, I unwrapped it and opened the box gently. Inside, there was a small, square sheet of paper. In my dad’s handwriting, it said, “I love you, Buttercup.  Look outside.”
I ran to the window and pushed opened the curtains. There in the middle of the front yard was my dad, beaming from ear to ear with a giant red ribbon wrapped around him. Needless to say, it was a happy reunion—the best Christmas ever.
(If you tell any of the others my nickname was ‘Buttercup,’ I might have to kill you.)
In your clan, who is the easiest to get along with? That’s easy. Hannah. Sometimes I think she should’ve been a Healer. She’s got that serene, giving spirit, like an angel or something. Sooooooo not like me. Nice to have her around though.
Do you like to sing and dance? Sing? Uh, no. Never. But I like to dance, or at least I used to. My best friend Jenny and I used to hang out at the top of the bleachers with the band during football games and dance right alongside them. That was so much fun. Wow. I haven’t thought about that in a long time. Feels like years ago, not months.
What’s a quote that would represent your philosophy on life? “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” By Dr. Seuss. I’ve always been one to do and say what I mean and what I feel. Sometimes, I piss people off, but whatever. Like the quote says, those people don’t matter. I am who I am. No apologies.
Thanks so much for stopping by and letting us into your world a bit, Sonya, it was great having you here!

CHARACTER QUEST: DAY 5! MEET MICHAEL!

Today we're moving on the day #5 of the Resistance Character Quest. We're gonna be having a little chat with Michael today!

Michael's Bio:  Guardian for Herrald’s clan, there is one word that describes Michael—confident. Some might say he’s cocky, but he doesn’t think so. A motto he lives by? “Know what you want in life then go for it.”

It's so great to have you stop by here today, Michael. We want to welcome you and hope you can break the BUBBLE of curiosity we hold about you! On with our questions!

What’s your favorite book?

Well, I’m not a big reader, but our English teacher once made us read Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. That story has always stuck with me. Jean Valjean was a good guy, but was corrupted by a cruel world, becoming sort of heartless after a 19-year stint in prison for stealing a loaf of bread. When he finally leaves prison, one man teaches him that anyone can change from bad to good, from darkness to light. Valjean ends up doing just that. I love this kind of story. I have to believe that there is redemption for anyone, no matter what dark path they are on.

What do you miss most about high school?

I miss football the most—the guys, my coaches, my best friend, Daniel. There was something about being on that field with my offensive line, calling out plays in the huddle, hearing the crowds in the stands and the coaches calling from the sidelines that made sense to me. Everything was simpler, easier to figure out. Now, the world’s upside-down and we don’t know what’ll happen from one day to the next.

What’s a quote that would represent your life right now?

I remember this guy reciting a monologue from Henry V on Speech Night the very week before the Reapers came. His words are constantly in my head. Well, I guess they’re actually Shakespeare’s words. He said, “From this day to the ending of the world, we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; for he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother.”

Yeah, that’s how I feel these days, but it goes for the girls, too. I feel tied to the Setti. We’re in this together till the end.

What is a special childhood memory?

Daniel has been my best friend since 1st grade. Even then he was a big kid. He’s always been the big kid. He’s also always been the nice guy. Well, Daniel and I lived about a block apart. When we were in 5th grade, I remember there was this middle-school bully that lived in a house between ours. What was his name, Gary or Jerry, something like that.

One day, I was waiting for Daniel to meet me at my house, and he was taking forever. So I got on my bike and rode after him. Halfway there, I see Gary what’s-his-face with two other scrawny kids surrounding Daniel, throwing globs of dirt at him. Daniel’s just standing there, taking it, even though he was bigger than all of them.

So I rush into the circle, pushing one of the kids to the ground and asked Daniel what was going on. He sort of whispered that his mom told him it was bad to fight. I told him there was always a time to fight and this was that time. It was like a light went off. Daniel pushed skinny kid #2 to the ground then punched Gary right in the nose. Gary squealed like a girl and ran off.

That might seem odd to define a “special childhood memory,” but I’m fond of it, because it was the day Daniel stood up for himself and never looked back. Yes, he was still the nice guy, but no one tried to pick on the “big guy” after that.

What draws you to Clara? Do you think she feels the same?

What’s not to draw me? Number one, there’s undeniable chemistry between us. She’s hot, and well, she seems to like what she sees in me. It’s kind of obvious the way she looks at me all the time. Number two, we’re both Guardians. We just fit in every way.

And yes, she definitely feels the same way. No doubt.

Michael your answers to these questions were certainly enlightening! Thanks so much for stopping by and spending time with us!

CHARACTER QUEST: DAY 4

It's day #4 of the Resistance Character Quest. We hope you're enjoying getting to know these characters! Today we're gonna hear a bit about Jeremey!

Jeremy's Bio: Sounder for Homer’s clan. Jeremy is calm, cool, and confident.  And, yes, he knows it. His favorite hobbies besides listening to his iPod? Annoying Ben and teasing Clara. Something no one really knows about him? He loves playing the piano.

So excited to have you with us today, Jeremy! Welcome! I hope you have a BLAST answering our questions! Let's get down to them....

What do you miss most about life before the Reapers came?
Let’s see, I hated school, so I didn’t miss much there. Except maybe art class. That was cool. I hated my home-life, so not much to miss there. I know my parents weren’t much of parents, but I do hope they made it out okay. (I doubt it though, so I don’t like to think about that.) I’d say the only thing I really miss is downloading new songs to iTunes and listening to my favorite bands’ new music. I mean, the idea of no new music being created is driving me crazy! Is this it? Will there be nothing else? That’s insane to think about. We’ve gotta do something about that.
If you could have any three people from history over to dinner, who would it be?
Beethoven, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Amy Lee. Dude, that would be so awesome! Napoleon could tell us stories about fighting in battles and all that, Beethoven could compose music for it, and Amy could sing while I play the piano. Cool, right? I mean, I’ve always wanted to know if Napoleon really was as short as they say he was. I think history experts just make up a lot of stuff. History books are probably full of just made-up opinions by some stuck-up professor somewhere along the line. I’d bet my iPod that Beethoven was probably a Sounder, too. I just really wanna know. And, why Amy Lee? Have you seen the woman? Have you listened to her? She’s got a set of pipes that light me on fire. If Beethoven and Napoleon stand me up, that’s fine by me. Amy and I will just have a candlelight dinner for two.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
Don’t have one. I don’t get embarrassed.
In your Setti clan, who is the most difficult to live with and why?
Melanie is by far the most difficult. She’s gotta have everything in order and in its place. It’s like living with Mary Poppins or something. I mean, who really cares if there are socks on the floor or Ding-Dong wrappers in the car?
What’s a quote that would represent your philosophy on life?
“Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you’re not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. ‘Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That’s just the way it is.” That’s Clint Eastwood in Outlaw Josie Wales, one of the greatest movies ever made. Next to the Star Wars movies, of course And you can’t forget Obi-Wan Kenobi’s advice: “May the force be with you.” Don’t ever lose the force, dude.
Thanks so much for coming by and chatting with us today, Jeremy. It's been really great learning a bit more about you!
