The fabulous wee indie press that my novel is published with turned 27 this week! Ringwood Publishing is an independent publisher based in Glasgow and is dedicated to publishing quality works of Scottish fiction and non-fiction.

Ringwood relies on volunteers, from founders and shareholders to the amazing team of interns that make it all happen and I could not sing their praises loud enough. The intern model helps Ringwood give people a leg up to get into the industry, while also having greater freedom to publish books by voices they want to be heard.

If you’re interested in Scottish literature, please do give the Ringwood catalogue a browse and support a small yet mighty press 💙💪

My out of context editing notes are a journey

Sorry but refusing a skin of water because there’s only one then turning to look at a waterfall is comedy gold

Idk some of this is cringe man! Like Arlo whipping out the flute

A mhàiri pov??? In this economy??

Who the fuck is barry

This chapter was weird

Also don’t know what this scene is doing with its life

Cait you’re being STUPID also why is a watchman just in his uniform in a house at night

But why is it under her pillow?

Why the return to simpering fool?

I don’t think Aggie is self aware

I do like that Bess punches him, that’s hilarious

Really stupid of them to go with the dude

Grim acceptance

The guard distraction is so silly

Where did Cait’s trauma go?

WHY has [redacted] joined them??!????!!

We say ‘jings’ too much

Make it BETTER!! Build up to this moment!!!

Cait hasn’t thought about potentially being disowned for a long time

Maybe we need more yearning

Oh I like that they quarrel!!

Again, no party

Where the hell is the train station? Is it in Clackhatton or Carse???

The fuck happened to Innes’ arc?

Oh Jamie’s here? I genuinely forgot about her lol.

Does he really want that? Maybe we should ask him

He dies WAY too easily/quickly
