Froliche Weihnachten/Merry Christmas

Good morning and welcome to Sunday Blog Share. Today, our story being featured is Fröliche Weihnachten/Merry Christmas.
Stuck in an abusive relationship, Riona feels her life will never change. An accident right as the winter holidays begin ends her military career and she returns home. Bill made one mistake and he’s paid for that for many years. In his  heart, he still longs for the girl he hurt.

Blurb
Riona’s life of self-doubt stranded her in an abusive marriage with four small children to raise. Her children and a successful career in the Air Force made her life bearable. She needed out—and Fate handed her a way.
Once, when she was younger, there was a man she thought good until he stood her up. She had no way of knowing that he had endured a bad marriage and a bitter divorce, leaving a teenaged daughter in the middle. He had never forgotten Riona.
Both their hearts were hurting. Fate would help them heal.

Excerpt

Riona hurried to finish dressing. Unable to handle the cold weather since the birth of her son, she wore a pair of cream wool dress slacks with a black sweater. The baby, Ricky, lay on the bed, ready for her to place him in the car seat she would have to carry down the stairs and hook up in the back of their mini-van. If she was very lucky, Hank might carry out the food, but only after she packed it into boxes.
“I wish we were staying home today, instead of going to the church supper.” Riona immediately felt shame for her less than Christian thoughts.
Raised Catholic in a family deeply embedded in their Irish roots, she had loved the holiday celebrations, until she married Hank Sanders and was forced to ignore her upbringing, his continual putdowns of everyone raised Catholic, and endure what she knew was very slanted Biblical teachings.
I deserve this. Didn’t Mom always tell me that I wasn’t good for much? She’s always been right in the past. Riona sighed. Guess I’d better get moving, before Hank’s too angry to go to church.
Although it bothered her to attend Sunday services at the B.I.M.I. (Baptist International Ministries) mission, Riona did so without complaint. One thing she’d learned young and well was that a wife didn’t complain, nor did she do anything to make her husband uncomfortable. Those were the words hammered into her head day in and day out by a mother quick to find fault but slow to praise.
Just me. I’m the only one Mom criticizes.
Riona secured Ricky into his car seat and slipped on the London Fog lined raincoat her maternal aunt had given her before she came to Germany three years ago.
I guess Mom was right, when she talked to me about being a lady on my thirteenth birthday. I’m about stupid when it comes to understanding anything.

New Release ~ Blaze A Team Omega Thriller

Blaze A Team Omega Thrilleris an exciting psychological thriller from best-selling author, K.C. Sprayberry. This particular story has been in my to be completed files for sixteen years. The concept was always a group of Elementals, individuals capable of manipulating earth, wind, water, and air to control wildfires, working together and sometimes against each other. It wasn’t until I noticed a trend of brush fires in California, blazes that seemed almost unnatural, that I came up with the thrilling adventure this tale is now.
Fires ravage California for eight long years.

Into the fray of taming these beasts comes a group of people with the power to control the elements of fire, water, wind, and earth.

Their only duty is to subdue the flames ravaging the state, to assist firefighters, hot shots, and smoke jumpers dedicated to protecting the Golden State.

You can get this exciting book here...

Print Book

One team stands out among the others, a group of four twenty-three year olds. They came into their abilities while these blazes were at their strongest. Dakota Henderson, Cary Toronto, Fante Cyndall, and Luisa Henderson appear to be ordinary people, doing normal jobs. Yet, when the call out comes, they dive into the belly of the beast to protect those threatened with the flames of destruction.

One of them receives the ability to lead all Elementals, the powers to battle against rogues from their organization. Can this individual put a stop to these wildfires and bring peace back to the embattled state?
