Those people we value, who are such a part of our lives that it seems they will be there always—won’t. We need to make time for those people and not take them for granted.

In today's world full of complaints and rants, we all––and I exclude no one from this solar system size category––have said something or done something to place us in the not so smart category, at least momentarily.

RWA is one of the most validating events I go to as a writer of romance. From the fans who wait in line for hours upon hours to see their favorite authors, to those very same authors who give so freely and kindly of their time and advice, to the thousands of writers, editors, agents, and industry people who are always willing to chat and get to know you, this is such a worthwhile conference for ANY writer of romance. If you ever get the chance to attend one of the RWA annual conferences, I would recommend – STRONGLY – that you take the opportunity and go.

For writers, refilling the well of creativity is a necessity. You can only dip into that well for so long before it goes completely dry.

Reviews can make or kill an author. The elation of five stars thrills us, but one, two, and three stars rip at the core of our confidence. It's important to remember: “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” - Eleanor Roosevelt.
