Another Year Ends and Whats to Come
2013 us coming to an end and what a year it was. I released my third book and it was my best received story yet! I also had my first short story accepted into an anthology. I can't wait to see what is to come in 2014. More stories of, lovers, strength, hope, and worlds to lose ourselves in.
Writing started, for me, a way to refocus my creative side. Being an artist as well, sometimes the brain needs a different channel to turn to. So putting words on a page helped me do that. Both of my creative worlds helped inspire the other.
I have a few stories in the works for the new year and a couple that may slip into 2015 but I'm so excited to get these out to you all.
YA/NA Marionette Release 2014
"I gazed upon him from behind glass eyes. My mouth wouldn’t move, I couldn’t tell him the words I had longed for him to hear. He had always taken such care when he placed me away into my cedar box but if he only knew that I screamed inside. I screamed to be released from the wooden cell I had been cursed to long ago…"
Adult A Shifted Soul Release 2014
You can now read the first few chapters in the Anthology "Soul Games"
"I came to with the gritty taste of dirt and asphalt on my tongue, the oily tang made the corners of my mouth water. I raised myself to my knees, only to find I was too dizzy to go any further. I paused there, perched on my hands and knees with my eyes squeezed shut—I was afraid of where I would find myself."
Adult The Eternal Lovers (Trinity Pierce, #2) Release 2015
The second installment in the Trinity Pierce Series follows our favorite "thing finder for hire" as she is thrust into another twisted adventure.
Trinity's last job ended with a phone call from a new client, Walden McCarthy. He wants Trinity's help in finding a statue that is believed to hold the most historic couple in literature.
Romeo and Juliet were just characters in a play...or were they? In the paranormal community it is widely believed that they were more fact than fiction and could still be walking the earth. It's Trinity's job to find their final resting place. The statue could be worth millions and prove that the lovers were living, breathing humans.
Trinity will find herself surrounded by help--more than she'd prefer. Help always seems to turn into complications, raging emotions, and heartache but she can't deny the men she's connected to. No matter how hard she tries.
Adult The Guardian's Envy Release 2015
Third installment in the Brand Series. This book will be in the view point of Babs, Samantha's sister.
You can find my current releases on amazon and Barnes and Noble. You can also request it in print wherever books are sold.
I wish you all happy and prosperous New Year. God bless.

Here are what some are saying about Hearts of Sand:
5.0 out of 5 stars Hearts of Sand-Awesome! September 20, 2013By Amy D. CaemichaelAmazon Verified PurchaseI read Hearts of Sand by Jamie Lynn Dougherty. I am not a vampire reader, but I loved this and can't wait for the next book in the series. Well written and kept me captivated. This was probably the fastest book I have ever read. Again...AWESOME!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down! August 29, 2013By Heidi HinesTrinity Pierce is a "blend into the woodwork" girl due to her mother's constant belittling of her. She's in college when she meets the dark and mysterious Vlad. Her encounter with him changes her life forever. Then add Arsen, her personal assistant, to the mix and you have a fascinatingly complex story that is difficult to put down.
I'm so glad I read this story and will be reading more of Jamie Dougherty's books.

Read in August, 2013
Amazing story, I could not put it down and actually stopped in the middle of JD Robbs Time of Death to read this. Eagerly anticipating a series with this storyline by this author whom I consider an amazing artist and author. Now I need to know where is Aurel, has he met the true death, and Sorin, is he secure. What does the future hold for Trinity, Arsen and Vlad? Things I must know, lol, soon I hope.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!, August 17, 2013By Angela Butler - See all my reviewsAmazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)This review is from: Hearts of Sand (Trinity Pierce) (Kindle Edition)Read this delightful book in 1 sitting. Couldn't put it down. So it's now midnight and I'll be getting next to no sleep & it's worth it!
A heroine that's strong, opinionated and has a self esteem problem. Add 2 gorgeous vampires fighting for her affection while trying to save the day and you have a recipe for a great book!

New Release!!!
Hearts of Sand is finally being released. I decided to release it independently and I can't wait for you all to read it! It is the first of a new series.
It is currently available in ebook on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Print will be available soon.
Trinity Pierce goes from mousy book worm to vampire royalty. Hired by her creator to search for a very powerful vampiric artifact, she finds that she might actually be what everyone is after. She won't be without help, her personal assistant Arsen lends his hand in more than just her professional business and Vlad who funds her expedition hopes for more than just his artifact.
A book full of excitement, romance, and a touch of humor. Follow Trinity as she goes on a wild goose chase to find a vampiric artifact that might be more Roma myth than archeological fact. But will it ever matter as much as the two men who are willing to help her?
"Matters of the heart slip through our fingers quicker than sands in an hour glass"

Back to Blogging
It's been well over a year since I had the time to commit to my blog. I've had a few stories in the works (among other commitments) that felt more important than my ramblings here BUT I feel its necessary to keep this thing up to date.
First off I have been included in a giveaway going on all month long and if you go------> HERE you will find all of the details :)
Next I have released a shifter short story with Bayou Brew Publishing--in their anthology Soul Games. The book can now be found in ebook and in print on Amazon.com. The story is about a woman battered and bruised by a tarnished marriage. She is thrust into the world of the paranormal when she discovers she is more than mere human.
I have been expanding on the short and hope to have a full novel out by the end of summer. I also have another book slated to come out later this summer called Hearts of Sand. You can now add it to your book list on Goodreads.com. The story has been seen by a few readers already and it's received a great response.
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy.
