Ramadan 2012 Lgaymat Day

Ramadan does not feel like Ramadan until the Lgaymat day arrives. Lgaymat day is the day when you have the most amazing most delicious Lgaymat ever delivered to you and you eat them first thing at futoor and want to have nothing else but them.

Last year I had one hell of Lqaymat day from Baking Tray and dear giggles (post). This year my Lqaymat came from my dear friend Charpys who arrived just before futoor bearing a plate full of bubbling hot Lqaymat plus Bala7 elSham.

Bala7 el Sham are Lgaymat’s cousins but they come in a different shape and are also a favorite of mine and the ones I got were no exception.

Look at those golden orbs of sweetness

As expected I had a fine time breaking my fast over the lovely golden Lgaymat dripping with sweet syrup.

I even experimented a little. Why not spread the Lgaymat with some chocolate? You know what? I did and I loved the combo! Someone should open up a home business selling Lgaymat dipped in chocolate!

It was one fine day. Good Lgaymat, tea, and Arabian coffee. What more could you ask for

Thank  you my dear Charpys for sending those delicious lgaymat noq9a :)

Viva’s Gergai3an Gift

Last week on the Gergai3an day I received one huge heavey clear plexi box chock full of chocolates from Viva.

The box is very neat and provides complete protection of the bowl inside.

The bowl is gorgous, big ceramic with Arabic engravings all around it.

If I’m not mistaken the bowl is from Silsal, a local Kuwaiti business that provides amazing ceramic products.

The bowl is gorgeous mo?

The lovely bowl is filled to the brim with golden wrapped chocolate pieces, the result of gold in the bowl is breathtaking. Like finding Ali Baba’s treasure.

The chocolates, which are very delicious by the way, are from Kakao (post).

Thank you very much VIVA for your gift, I loved it. Mbarak 3lekom el shahar o 3asakom min 3owadah.

Milk’s Qerqe3an Gift

One of the memorable Gergai3an gifts I’ve recieved this past week was Milk’s Gergai3an! It came in a big green cooler… why?

Because inside the cooler was the Geragai3an bag plus four white boxes of Milk’s ice cream!

I’ve already tried -and fell in love- with Milk’s ice cream before (post). This time it came in four new flavors: Saffron Cardamom, Pomegranate Sorbet, Lemon Lime, and Rahash. Yum!

Next come the Gergai3an bag that looks like a gray tshirt with blue handles. Nice!

The loot inside is amazing!

:Milk’s famous chocolate dippers (post), mixed nuts, Milks chocolate coated honey comb and almost biscotti (post), mini marshmallow, and good old Mars bar and his friends in fun size. It was delicious!

And my favorite part of anything I receive, the card of course.

Thank you Milk for sending this amazing Gergai3an my way. It was one of my favorites indeed. 3asakom min 3owadah insha2 Allah :)

Milk Cafe is located in Al-Seif area right next to Burger Hub and Pizzetta. For more information about Milk Cafe you can check their facebook page (link) or follow them on Twitter (@Milk_KW) or on Instagram (@Milk_KW).

Picture of the Week: Cooking Suhoor

There is nothing more tantalizing than the aroma of boiling pasta promising you a warm hearty meal at the end of the road. Its so fulfilling! I love pasta so much I allow myself to eat only plain pasta with salt when I’m sick as comfort food, sort of like a guilty pleasure

A few days back I’ve been craving Spaghetti Pomodoro like mad so I decided to have some for my Suhoor meal and it hit all the right spots. I took the picture of the dry spaghetti noodles above while simmering the tomato sauce. That was one memorable Suhoor meal, Yum!

What was your most memorable Suhoor meal this Ramadan?

Q8Up2date Qerqe3an Gift

Ever since the 13th day of Ramadan we’ve been bombarded, literally bombarded, by Qerqai3an gifts from all over Kuwait. Friends, family, neighbors, fellow bloggers, and companies. The first one came from Q8 Up 2 Date online store.

A gift basket with three glittery small pots inside and a beautifully written card.

What’s inside the three pots? The first had mixed nuts.

The second had a mix of retro chocolates that I adore from my childhood.

The third had two pouches from Abdul Samad Al-Qurashi, one of my favorite Arabian Perfumes sellers.

One pouch had pieces of Bukhoor and the other had a small Arabian Perfume.

Q8 Up 2 Date’s gift was beautiful indeed and so much fun! For more information about Q8 Up 2 Date you can check their online store (link), check their facebook page (link), or follow them on Twitter (@Q8Up2Date) or on instagram (@Q8up2Date). Thank you Q8 Up 2 Date for the gorgeous Gergai3an, 3aswakom min 3owadah insah2 Allah :)

Delivery Express Ramadan Gift

The other day I received a white bag from Delivery Express, inside was lots of orange and yellow tissue paper and a nice cream box.

Inside the box was a selection of chocolates and Ramadan sweets from Chocopolis.

One thing I’ve noticed about Delivery Express’s cars is that they use one of those car with small fridges in the back. That way whatever you send will arrive cool and in one piece instead of melting in the heat before the delivery. For more information about Delivery Express you can check their website (link) Call them on 22499996, check their facebook page (link) or follow them on Twitter (@Delivery_Xpress).

Thank you delivery express for the nice Ramdan noq9a. Akramkom Allah o mbarak 3lekom elshahar :)

Tempura Q8′s Breaded Shrimp

The other day I received a box of breaded shrimps, Japanese style, from a home business called Tempura Kuwait. When I opened it it looked exactly like Ninja Kabamaro’s Quraidis Maqli!

The box contains about 6 pieces of shrimps that are breaded with the Japanese bread crumbs, panko I think they are called? They also come with four different dips.

Taste wise I wouldn’t know frankly as I do not eat shrimps but my husband liked them. Said they were well cooked and tasty.

The next time you are hit with breaded shrimps craving you can order from Tempura Q8 by calling 94446039 or contacting them on Twitter (@Tempura_Q8) or Facebook (link). Thank you Tempura Q8 and akramkom Allah.
