LTUE Symposium 2012! (P.S. I'm still alive, though I haven't posted for a very long time
So much for New Year Resolutions. I was going to be so much better at blogging, but here I am again....Life gets crazy I guess.
If you're planning on being in Utah February 9-11, then I've got a great event for you to consider! LTUE--Life, the Universe, and Everything symposium, where many great local authors will be leading discussions on writing, plus signing their books--what's not to love? For more info, including prices and schedules, visit http://ltue.org/LTUE_2012.html.
This is FREE for students, by the way!
I'll certainly be there, so come join me for some epic fun!
As an endnote for this post, I'd like to mention that I was recently given the soundtrack for Inception, and I find it a great soundtrack to write to. Hans Zimmer, you amaze me!
Thanks for reading!

Thanksgiving Thoughts
I love this time of year! Not only is it time to dig out the Christmas decorations and crank up the carols, but family and friends become a huge focus for a lot of people. At least, I know that's true for me. Even as the days get colder and darker, people seem to grow more loving toward others, and more grateful for the blessings granted to them.
This Thanksgiving I'm grateful for a lot of things. No, a TON of things. Here's a short list of the basics: I'm grateful for my loving family, and for my faith in God. I'm grateful for my health, and the marvelous opportunity that I have to be in school. (Although this one may feel like a curse come finals week. But for now, I see education as it is: a tremendous blessing.) I'm grateful for the chance that I have to follow my dreams as an author, and even if it sounds a little eccentric, I'm grateful for the overflowing bookcases in my bedroom. Some of my best friends are double parked on those sagging shelves. I'm grateful for the color green--isn't it the most beautiful color?--and I'm just so grateful to be alive. I'm also extremely grateful for the love and support my friends and family have given me, these past few months especially. And I'm not shy about the fact that I'm grateful for food. Apple pie, life would be grim without you! And music. I'm so grateful for music!
This Thanksgiving, I encourage you to start a list of a all the things you're most grateful for. It certainly helps keep me focused on the things that matter.
I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, and a glorious Holiday Season!

Happy Halloween, and Other Greetings
Life has been so crazy, I haven't had a second to post anything for a while, and I apologize! But it's been a good kind of crazy, though. :) So even though this post will be short, by the end I'll have offered you a holiday salutation, and you'll have a link that will take you to a wonderful place--a place where you can win a copy of Seers!
First off, though, I want to thank everyone who has come to a book signing so far--I love meeting other book enthusiasts, and I truly appreciate your avid support! And if you've been unable to make it to a book signing, especially because of the distance, I want to thank you for the lovely reviews and support you've given me and Seers through other means.
Also, I wanted to let you know that the Kindle edition of Seers is now available: http://www.amazon.com/Seers-ebook/dp/.... The NOOK version should be available soon.
Well, I promised a few things at the beginning of this post: that it would be short, it would have mention of a particularly creepy holiday, and that you'd have access to winning a copy of Seers. So, here you go:
Happy Halloween!!! May you be safe, warm, and eat plenty of chocolate! And to help celebrate this fall holiday, follow this link to win a copy of Seers through the wonderful Spooktacular Giveaway Hop! (http://www.cedarfortbooks.com/spookta...)
Enjoy the beautiful fall season, and happy reading!

The End!! (Of One-Liner Wednesday)
Well, we've finally reached it: the last leg of the journey, the last breath before the plunge, the last pause before the action! Seers will be officially released this Saturday, on October 8th. Since this is the last Wednesday before the release of the book, this is the last quote we'll see here in the form of One-Liner Wednesday. It's been a fun weekly event for me, but I must say I'm absolutely excited to reach the end--because that means Seers is almost here!
It may take a little while for Seers to appear in your local bookstore, but you can always order Seers online at Amazon.com, or B&N.com, or go to Cedar Fort's website to find your copy.
And now, Quote #12: "In short, we're in epic trouble."
If you missed any of the quotes, they are all here on this blog, so feel free to look back. If nothing else, you can go re-discover your favorite One-Liner! If you find that one that made you grin the most, be sure to let me know in the comments!
Thanks for your support of Seers, and as always, for taking the time to read this. Have a splendid day!

Quote #12 (Second to the last One-Liner Wednesday!
Isn't that crazy? Only one more One-Liner Wednesday after this, and the book will be out! I'm so excited!
I'm so busy right now, with school and writing, planning book signings and getting ready for the launch party on October 22, and then there's that other task called revising book two in the Seers trilogy. If you missed the announcement at the end of the Blog Tour, books two and three will be published by Cedar Fort! Demons should be out around this time next year, and book three (tentatively known as Guardians,) will be released the year following. So, extremely good news!
And now, for the second-to-last One-Liner before Seers is released:
"Does that mocking response mean you're not going to trust me?"
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope your day is a splendid one!

Quote #11
Hello! Goodness, it's hard to believe that the blog tour for Seers is already winding down. If you haven't had a chance to visit any of the stops, I would definitely recommend it. :) There have been some awesome reviews, and just all in all a great tour. Here's the link to the calendar: http://www.cedarfortbooks.com/seers-b.... Please feel free to make a comment somewhere, and let me know how you've liked the tour!
Well, seeing as it's One-Liner Wednesday, I should probably get to the quote of the week, which is from Toni. And according to what I've heard on the blog tour, Toni is a definite favorite. I agree wholeheartedly. :)
Quote #11: "You sure don't act like you know what you're doing."
Thanks for your continued support of Seers, and for checking in here and reading this! Hope you have a splendid day!

Quote#10
First off, I've got to say how much I've been loving the Seers Blog Tour. Thanks to those who've been so graciously participating by hosting the various stops, and to all of you who've been following along; especially to those who've left comments. Thanks everyone!
Just as a reminder, if you haven't had the chance to preview the prologue of Seers yet, you can find it here on my website: http://heatherfrost.com/seers.html. Hope you enjoy it!
I almost can't believe it, but this is the tenth One-Liner Wednesday we've celebrated now. Only a few more, and October 8th will be here at last!
And now, for Quote #10: "Warn me the next time you decide to randomly test out your brakes, okay?” -Lee, Kate's best friend.
Thanks for reading, and have a splendid day!

Quote #7
Another week has gone by, and I'm waist-deep in packing. School starts up on the 29th for me, and I'm beginning to realize I should have started packing a while ago. But, as the saying goes, hindsight is 20/20. :)
Well, the most exciting news for me this week is that my website is now officially up and running! Some minor changes are still going to be happening, but it's working! So, go check it out at http://www.HeatherFrost.com. There you'll find info about me, Seers, and even a short fairy tale written by me!
As far as the blog tour goes, I think I'm almost done with interviews and guest posts. Yeah! If you haven't yet, check out the banner on my author page http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/..., under the events section. One click on the banner will take you to a calendar so you can see what blogs I'll be at when.
As a last item of business: Seers has been added to the 2011 YA Debut Author list. So if you've got a sec, go vote for it! http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/88....
And now, I think we're more than ready to see our weekly quote, which is Quote #7 in the countdown to the release of Seers.
"The Immortal Killers? It sounds like a bad 80s band."
For more frequent updates on Seers, pop in to see the official Facebook fan page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Seers-T.... Thanks for reading, and have a splendid day!
