Jason Lane was a historian, writer, and dedicated community leader known for his passion for life and history. Author of General and Madame de Lafayette: Partners in Liberty’s Cause, he was researching a biography of Henry IV at the time of his passing. A retired advertising executive and successful real estate broker, Lane also served as mayor and council member of Manhattan Beach, California. He was an avid traveler and mountaineer, climbed Mt. Whitney, and reached the base of Mt. Everest, reflecting his determination and adventurous spirit throughout life.
