Breena Cassidy
Cursed with what could be one of the worst supernatural abilities imaginable, Breena has never had the luxury of falling in love. Hell, she’s never even held a guy’s hand. At only twenty-two years old, she’s just about given up on the whole love thing. Hawk Covington
Hawk’s hard body and skill have earned him a starting position on the Pioneer’s college hockey team. But it’s not his talent with a hockey stick that’s the most remarkable. His gorgeous two-colored eyes not only draw the attention of every female on campus, they also allow him to track people and objects. Unedited
We headed into his apartment and I shrugged my coat off my shoulders, but that’s as far as it got. As soon as Hawk dropped his equipment bag on the floor, he turned to me and grabbed me, pinning me against the wall, my jacket wedged behind me, my arms a prisoner in the sleeves of my jacket as he settled his beautiful mouth back on mine again. I was grateful for the support behind me, so I wouldn’t lose my balance. Though I doubt there would have been any chance of that happening since Hawk had such a secure grip around my waist. When he stopped kissing me, he stared into my eyes. I couldn’t move. My arms were still pinned in my jacket. I couldn’t do anything except stare back into his eyes. The grey and green colors of his eyes danced with desire. Desire for me. The thought scared me, but then he began kissing my neck, trailing kisses down inside the collar of my jacket, sucking in places on the way. He pushed my jacket down my arms, letting the heavy fleece fall to the floor. Then he swept me up in his arms, carried me to his couch and placed me down.
His mouth was instantly back on mine. The sensation of his taste buds mingling with mine was like honey, ever so sweet and smooth, yet electric. When his lips left mine, I began an internal protest, but relaxed when his tongue skimmed along my neck and down my chest. A small gasp escaped my throat when his palm briefly cupped my breast before his fingers inched inside my sports bar, lifting it up to expose both breasts. “I told you, you have nice breasts,” he mumbled before taking one into his mouth and cupping the other in his hand. A second gasp flowed from my lips, but it was more from the sensation and pleasure he offered than surprise.
Then he lodged his knees between my thighs as his hand came under my bottom and his other was on the back of my neck, urging my mouth toward his. He squeezed my backside and caressed each cheek, pulling me against him. My legs hugged his waist.
“You have such a beautiful ass,” he breathed in between kisses. I want to kiss it. Will you let me kiss it, gypsy?
I giggled. It was uncontrollable. “You want to kiss my ass?” I repeated out of sheer lack of not knowing what else to say. He made me hot and the thought of his lips on my rear end made me even hotter.
“Yes, because you have an extremely supreme derriere, but that’s not all I want to do to you.

I daydream often. And sometimes my daydreams interfere with my daydreams not to mention real life. Because, let’s face it, my character’s lives are so much more exciting. Sometimes it’s young adult or new adult contemporary romance and sometimes it’s paranormal romance, where my playing field delves into a different milieu than the usual vampires and werewolves.
Some day I might write about vampires, fangs and fur, but for now, I prefer sticking to strong heroes and heroines confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers and abilities beyond the norm, mixed with a heavy dose of romance to get the blood boiling.
Of course, there are times I love writing the normal contemporary love story and enjoy getting lost in the dream of a hot sexy hero. I love when a story takes hold and pulls me into the fantasy, that's magic.

Sharing the Love Blog Hop
We're Sharing the Love this week and surprise bombing bloggers and authors we adore with a little love! Hop by all of the blogs for chances to win great prizes at each stop and find out which authors and bloggers we think are so darn special!

I have a couple authors who I'd love to help get the word out about their awesome books, authors I've read and loved. Funny how I picked two authors who write about sports figures.
Hmmm... my next book, A Gypsy's Kiss, coming out in March, a sexy supernatural read featuring a hot ice hockey player who falls hard for a feisty, psychic reader. An icy/fiery match made in heaven or is it hell? A Gypsy's Kiss is the first of an eight book series and a spin off from the best-selling Whisper Cape Trilogy and is on sale this month for only .99 cents

The first author I'd like to introduce is Holly Roberts and her sexy sports reads - the Completion Series and believe me, "It's all about the boys and their balls." Visit Holly's Wicked Story Telling

Will Killian’s bad boy rep and Rebecca’s need for commitment, make this the most impossible “Play” of the season? Or, will Killian’s haunting past and need for victory destroy the most important game of his life?
“Play” is intended for mature readers 18+. Enjoy with caution… this book contains adult situations, sex, and more balls than a girl knows what to do with.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second one of my favorite authors is Author Anne Carter. She writes sweet paranormal and contemporary romance. Her love of lighthouses has inspired a heart-stopping, supernatural, emotional series, Beacon Point Romance and includes the FREE prequel, Ever and Always, Go download it now
Ice Hockey. Strong coffee. His infant son, Duncan. Three things Jack McKenzie could not do without. Now he was about to add a fourth. In a sunny So. California park, beautiful, green-eyed Madelyn Cross has reappeared in his life... a second chance with the one that got away.
New Release - Mending Scars by Brandy L Rivers
Preston finally knows what he wants, but it’s an uphill battle to win her confidence. Dacia has been hurt countless times, including by his own hand. Despite her accusations, he wants what’s best for her.
Dacia struggles with her inability to trust. Her mother has always been too wrapped up in her own life to pay attention. Her father only comes around when it benefits him. Dacia no longer believes she’ll ever come first.
Remus is a fugitive on Earth and in Faerie. His ungrateful daughter refuses to help, even when a mage nearly tracks him down. His best hope is pitting Dacia and Preston against each other.
Ultimately, Dacia must choose. Can Preston help mend her scarred heart? Or will her father’s corrupt plan spoil Dacia’s chance at happiness?
~ PURCHASE ~AMAZON | iTunes | B&N | KOBO | Paperback
~ TEASERS ~
~ EXCERPT ~His head throbbed in sync with the sound of his phone buzzing
out of reach. Preston cracked one eye open to find her elegant face relaxed in
peaceful slumber.
Slivers of memory floated through his mind. Toryn’s party. Dacia
throwing herself at him. Then it went fuzzy, other than flashes of explosive
sex.He regretted his temporary lack of memory, which he hoped would
be restored once the hangover abated. The unrelenting metallic vibration
started again, and he sat up to take a look at his surroundings.Dacia’s house.Shit.Last time he was here, everything had ended in disaster. He
nearly died at her hands, though she wasn't in charge of them, thanks to a
shadow fae taking possession of her body. Then Amethyst, the woman he'd been
trying not to love healed him, shattering the dam of pent-up
emotion he had walled off so long he nearly drowned in the ensuing rush. Jamie,
who knew their relationship was over before he did, ended things that night. At
least Amethyst and Jamie had found their soulmates, even if he was left behind.He wasn’t sure Dacia was his forever, but he wanted to find out. If she’d
let him. There was definitely a spark between them.Insistent buzzing from his phone jerked Preston back to the here
and now. He spotted his pants hanging from a chair. His shirt was on a bed
post. Dacia's dress lay on the floor in at least two separate pieces.Must have been in a hurry. A stupid grin spread on his face as he remembered Dacia
screaming out his name.Shaking off a wave of desire, he got up to grab his phone and
found a list of texts and missed calls from Robert.The texts were nagging him about what he’d learned, and trouble
with the fae. He scrubbed a hand over his face and tried to remember what
Robert was referring to.What the hell? I never forget anything—not even when I want to.He sat on the bed and Dacia curled around him in her sleep. A
slow smile reappeared on his lips as her satin skin caressed his.Looking down, he saw her, the real her, without makeup or
glamour. She didn't need any artificial shit. Dacia looked a lot like her aunt,
the queen of the Air Kingdom in Faerie. Unfortunately, her piece of shit,
twisted-as-a-Twizzler-stick father was still at large after being caught
conspiring against the queen, plotting unthinkable acts against his niece, and
torturing women. Yup, inter-dimensional scumbag.Dacia had a few issues, but deep down she was a tough woman
dealing with a fucked-up family, much like him. She was so used to
disappointment she’d built a fortress around herself, and had recently
developed an annoying habit of bolting rather than risk being disappointed.
Sooner or later he would scale the walls and sneak inside.Maybe last night he had. Maybe. But he couldn't
remember much—certainly not enough.“You're still here,” she murmured sleepily, hope shining in her
eyes.“I told you, and I'll keep telling you, it's you I want to get
to know, you I want to please, only you.” He brushed his knuckle down the faint
scar on her cheek. The line ran from just below the inner corner of her eye,
down to the corner of her jaw.She flinched away, covering that side of her face. The hope died
as her gaze went stony. “Because you feel sorry for me. I don’t need your
pity.”“No, fuck, not because of that! Yes, I'm sorry I put the mark
there. But listen closely, that scar isn't what I see when I close my eyes.
What I see is a feisty woman who holds my interest for a laundry list of
reasons. I want to learn everything about you.”“You keep touching it, kissing it. You
pay too much attention to it. Even when I have my glamour in
place.”Well, shit.He did, but only because it was seriously hot. That might make
him a freak but he was okay with that. He gave a sheepish shrug, and tried for
an innocent tone. “You don't want to hear my reason.” She was too vain to
appreciate his point of view.Her eyes flashed with anger as she ghosted out of bed. She
materialized a few feet in front of him with her hands on her hips. “Because
you feel guilty for making me ugly!”And damn him, but Dacia pissed off made him hard as adamantium.
He rose to his feet, pointing to his cock that stood at attention, wanting
nothing more than to be buried to the hilt in her heat. “Does it look like I
feel sorry for you? Or maybe that I don't like what I see? Trust me, Minx, I
want you any way I can get you. This,” he gripped his length and her gaze
followed his hand as she hungrily watched the slow stroke, “should be a
significant indicator that you—scar included—are more than sexy. I can't stop
imagining your taste, the feel of your nails in my skin, the way you wrap
around me. This is what you do to me.”He blinked and she was gone. Then he was shoved onto the
mattress and she was over him, sliding onto his thick length as her mouth
closed over his, taking what she wanted. Borderline punishing, her nails cut
past skin as she rode him hard. Tears fell on his chest.Grabbing her face, he rolled them over, gentling the pace while
he dried her tears. “Don’t cry, Dacia. I’m not giving you a reason to cry. I
want your pleasure, your desire, I want us, but I don’t want to be
the reason you cry,” he promised as he thrust into her slowly.Her big onyx eyes bored into his. “Why?” she whispered. “No, don’t
answer.” Dacia flipped them over, pushing her pace harder, faster. Her mouth
meshed with his, their tongues dancing.He was right there on the edge, trying to hold back, when her
core started to ripple around him. They both cried out as flames danced over
them and everything in the room was picked up in the whirlwind that surrounded
her bed.A rush of excitement, desire, and panic shot through them as he
tried to pull her closer but she phased out as the fires faded and her
belongings fell around him.Stunned, Preston lay there, wracking his brain for an
explanation, but the pounding in his head renewed with force.He felt her, floating in the room. Her eyes burned a brand into
him. “Dacia, please talk to me.”
What's Behind The Cover?
A little insider information about Whisper Cape
I'm often asked if the setting for Whisper Cape is based on any particular area in Oregon.
Well, the answer to that is yes and no.
I originally based it on and around the Arch Cape and Rockaway Beach areas along the Oregon coast. I even went up there to do the research because of the cliffs. I changed the name to Whisper Cape because in case I got the scenery wrong I didn't want anyone to call me out on it. LOL Things like that can be so upsetting.
Though the story itself takes place along the Oregon coastline, I also used a spot in Mendocino, California. The Beach house Cael purchases as well as the archway where Addison see's and talks to her father is based upon the Little River Inn in Mendocino. My husband and I stayed there for one of our anniversaries and I fell in love with it. The picture on the first book with the archway was taken on that trip. When I saw the formation made by the position of the rocks under the archway, my mind instantly started conjuring up all sorts of possibilities. It looked to me like a ghost or an angel.
Here is the original picture that I took during our visit to the Little River Inn. The archway was just a short walk from the house over a large, well manicured lawn.
Below is the cover as it istoday. By the way, the original title, before it was published as Whisper Cape, was A Secret Fate. It was changed and I have always regretted it. So I had to title the last book A Secret Fate.
You can download Whisper Cape, the first book in the trilogy for FREE at Amazon, iTunes, B&N, Smashwords, google play, and Kobo. It is also available in audio at audible.com
Donation to the Joyful Heart Foundation
Back in December, I joined in on the Christmas Wonder Hop and had a contest that would enable me to donate to the Joyful Heart Foundation. This is their vision and mission.
The vision of the Joyful Heart Foundation is a community with no sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse._______________Our mission is to heal, educate and empower survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse, and to shed light into the darkness that surrounds these issues. - See more at: http://www.joyfulheartfoundation.org/...
Please take a moment to visit their website and see for yourself how they help heal the wounded.
The contest during the hop involved purchasing a copy of Beautifully Wounded and I would donate all the royalties to the Joyful Heart Foundation for every purchase from that contest. Well, I'm happy to say that I did that this morning. I'd like to thank everyone who helped by purchasing a copy of Beautifully Wounded. I hope you enjoy Lena's story. Although it is a romance story, it took a lot of emotion and pulling from deep inside my inner core to write the story to revolve around the domestic violence aspect. Things move quickly in the story only because there is only so much time between the first page and the last. I'd tried to space out the timeframes the best I could in order for the story to seem realistic without taking away from the romance that does occur. Although it is fiction, I have to say that unfortunately, those things happen too often in real life and I am thankful for your support in helping others heal. I hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous New Year 2015!
This is the letter they sent me:
Dear Susan,
On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Joyful Heart Foundation, we want to thank you for your contribution in support of our programs.
At Joyful Heart, we are boldly meeting the growing needs of our community. Since our inception in 2004, we have utilized the $17 million you have helped us raise to:
- serve over 14,000 survivors and healing professionals;
- connect over two million visitors to our website and social media to resources and life-saving help;
- garner more than two billion media impressions about our issues and work; and
- effect policy changes in jurisdictions from New York to California.
We are witnessing transformation, here and now. It’s taking place in the minds, bodies and spirits of those we serve. It’s taking place in our collective consciousness as we work together to create a community that thinks differently, behaves differently and responds differently to sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.
Your support makes many remarkable moments possible in our work to heal, educate and empower. We are thrilled to launch the new "Your Moments" platform so you can share your own meaningful moments right on our website. Whether words, an image or a video, we invite you to contribute your moment of joy, gratitude, healing, change, hope, progress—anything significant to you. To share yours, click here: http://www.joyfulheartfoundation.org/your-moments.
With gratitude,
