Six Sentence Sunday – From my #wip Another Night, Another Planet #SixSunday

Hello and thank you for coming to read my Six Sentence Sunday post!

Today, I’m sharing six from ANOTHER NIGHT, ANOTHER PLANET,

my current work-in-progress.

Here’s the first six:

Ava hit send on her application to the 1Night Stand dating service. With no time to wait for a confirmation that her email had been received, she shoved her tablet computer into her carry-on, slung the bag over her shoulder, and rushed out the door. The Star Spirit was scheduled to leave Earth in two hours, and she had to zip through town to get there and clock in before then. Hopefully Madame Eve would find her perfect match during her six month tour.

Sure, she’d met many men travelling back and forth between the Milky Way and the Belvarian System. But most looked down their noses and other appendages at the woman who cleaned their room.

Be sure to visit http://www.sixsunday.com/ to find out who’s participating in

Six Sentence Sunday this week or follow the #sixsunday hashtag on twitter.

Sizzling PR VBT: Interview with Arlene Webb, author of Harey

Please welcome fellow Decadent Publishing author, Arlene Webb to the blog! Arlene, can you tell us about your new release?

AW: Harey is the honest to God (I’m lying) true story of the man behind the myth of the Easter bunny. It contains violent, and what I found to be shocking, historical fact (I’m not lying) and tells my version of how love can triumph over sacrifice, betrayal, religion, and allegiance.

What was your inspiration for this story?

AW: History. I tried to give voice to the fallen, and bring to life how the legend of Easter could have started.

What other titles do you have published?

AW: Taking Down Mistletoe is a spin on modern day Norse mythology where a sword of gold took down mistletoe and Loki, god of mischief. Of course I added a descendant of a vampire slayer just to liven things up in an M/M romance.

Arrow to the Heart is a novella that brings Cupid to life in a modern day setting. A spicy M/F romance.

Last Request is my contribution to the popular one night stand series and involves, well, a last request from a woman who hopes for more than a special meal before she’s put to death.

Do you belong to a critique group or have critique partners? If so, what have you learned from them? How has it affected your writing?

AW: I learned how to write from my critique partners, and if any reader disagrees it’s no fault of dedicated and long suffering friends. Barbara Elsborg, a world famous author with around 30 novels published, has read and re-read everything I’ve written. DL Jackson and Cate Masters are two other Decadent authors who’ve helped me tremendously.

What is the best piece of advice you would give to aspiring authors?

AW: Read and read and read and then pull out one word at a time and edit and edit and edit.

Great advice! Where can my readers find you?

AW: Website / Blog / Facebook / Twitter / Goodreads

Where can my readers find your books?

AW: Decadent Publishing

Harey by Arlene Webb

Gwas can outrun a horse, knows how to hide and steal, but is ignorant of the ways of men. The last thing he expects when he is rescued from a miserable existence by a blue-eyed, blond haired angel is to be promised as a Druidic sacrifice to Eostre. Unfortunately, the only direction Gwas wishes to flee is straight into the arms and knife of his savior, Gareth.

Maura knows Gareth is no angel, but she adores him with a passion that time and loneliness cannot dent. When he rides in carrying an injured lad who fears her on sight, she is drawn to open her heart to the abused orphan as well.

Gareth is caught between his liege lord and brother’s fist, and an emotional dilemma that grows harder and harder to deny with every passing season. If he must defy man and gods in order to embrace his heart’s desires, so be it.

When the clash of old and new religions puts lives in peril, ultimate sacrifice bears witness to enduring love. Winter gives way to spring, and the evolution of a colorful myth spreads across the land.

Excerpt:

I am no angel. Gareth’s shoulders slammed into the ground. A heavy body covered him, and the adrenalin jolting through him made him feel like a powerful animal. But I am in heaven. He tugged his arms free, wrapped them around Harey and grasped the back of Harey’s head. And I do not care if adulterous sodomites go to hell. He jerked him upward and took his lips.

No time for tender exploration. He had to show Harey who he belonged to, and it was not some bloodthirsty deity, or the daughter of a mass murderer. What if Aethelfrith, the devil who had ordered one thousand, one hundred and sixty-five men killed so they could not pray against him, had still lived? Harey would have walked into his knife with a smile, a pet hare, and promises of painted eggs.

I will not let this man leave me again. Never. Not ever. He’s mine. Gareth fought back his moan and deepened his kiss. Harey tasted so good, fresh and sweet like Maura, but firm and bony where she was all curvy softness. He intensified the pressure, relishing the feel of the lips he had desired for so long, and Harey yielded. Gareth rammed his tongue in, danced around, and then back out to repeat. He had never held a body to mirror his own like this, captive over him, and the sheer joy of not being gentle saturated him.

Day 12: 13 Days of Halloween Blog Tour – FREE Halloween Erotica story!!

Hello, and welcome to Day 12 of the 13 Days of Halloween Blog Tour!

First and foremost, I’d like to thank JoLynne Valerie, for inviting me to be a part of this event. It was such an honor to be asked to participate along with many talented people.

I’d like to present a story that I wrote specifically for this event. It is a Halloween erotica MFM menage story. Thank you to my editors, Valerie Mann and Kate Richards, from Wizards In Publishing, for all of your help!!

So, I present to you… LAST MINUTE CUSTOMERS. Enjoy!!

~*~*~

LAST MINUTE CUSTOMERS

JESSICA E. SUBJECT

Mandy handed the bag of costumes to her old high school math teacher and his wife with a smile. “Bye, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan. Have fun at your party.”

After they left, she glanced at her watch. Ten minutes until closing time, then she planned to go home and crash on her bed rather than attend one of the multitude of Halloween parties her friends and older customers had invited her to. Tomorrow, costumes had to be marked down and the Christmas and other holiday decorations brought out. Store sales from October had more than quadrupled from last year, but tonight she’d celebrate by catching up on her sleep. In the morning, on top of everything else, she had to place an ad in the paper to find more staff.

She slipped out from behind the counter to straighten the costume aisle after little kids had decimated her neat display of only hours ago. She’d been so swamped, she hadn’t had the chance to reorganize it again.

The door chimed. She glanced up, stifling a groan over the last minute shoppers. But the sight of the two men walking in left her unable to do anything but stare. One was tall, broad, and dark, while the other was blond and built like a track star—long lean, and all muscle. They couldn’t be more opposite, yet both made her heart pound. She’d seen them around town before, but had always been afraid to engage in an actual conversation with them. What did she have to offer anyway? All of her time was dedicated to her party supply store.

The taller of the two raised an eyebrow. “Sorry to bother you when you’re about to close, but we’re looking for costumes, and well…. We haven’t had much luck.”

She stood and brushed her hands down the front of her starship commander’s dress, hoping she didn’t look like too much of a geek in front of him. He was good-looking and well mannered? She didn’t see that combination very often. Most males she considered drop-dead gorgeous knew they were hot and made sure everyone they encountered knew it, too. His mother taught him well.

The blond ran a hand through his thick, wavy hair. “I doubt she’s going to have anything left, Zane. No one does on Halloween night. We should have started looking before today.”

“No!” She covered her mouth. She hadn’t meant to yell. They stared, as if waiting for her to continue, and she lowered her hands. “I’m sure I can help you find what you’re looking for. And I’ll give you fifty percent off.” Shit, that sounded desperate for a sale. Really, she wanted to keep them in the store a little bit longer. They would make excellent heroes in her future fantasies.

Zane chuckled. “Sure, let’s see what you’ve got. My brother and I are going to a sci-fi themed party. Do you have anything that falls under that description?”

Brothers? Could have fooled her. But she wasn’t about to argue. And they were into sci-fi, like her. “Sure. We have your movie costumes. Star Wars, Star Trek, Avatar….”

He shook his head. “I don’t know. What do you think, Blaze?”

“Those have been done,” the other brother said. “Anything else?”

She gave them a quick glance over to gauge their sizes. Her cheeks warmed as she caught sight of the bulge in Zane’s pants. A wave of desire swept over her. She inhaled deeply. They were only customers and hadn’t given any indication they wanted more than costumes.

It had been so long since she’d even seen a man’s cock, dedicating all of her time to the store. She needed to get out and live again. She needed to get laid.

With a sigh, she spun around. Best not to think of that now. She had customers to serve. Two very hot guys who wouldn’t want anything to do with her. Men didn’t notice plain women like her. It was a fact of life. Her life, anyway.

She approached the rack of large men’s costumes. The men were at least that size, and she had quite a few left. Males didn’t dress up as much as they wanted their woman to dress up for them. Yet in her extremely short dress, she didn’t seem to attract the attention of one single male.

Plucking a couple of the expensive Transformers costumes off the rack, she held them out to the two men. “What do you think of these?”

Zane rubbed his chin. “I don’t think so. Too many parts.” He started rifling through the selections and motioned to his brother. “Help me look.”

Mandy rushed over to the door and locked it. It was closing time anyway, and she wanted to devote all of her attention to the hot customers already in the store. If she got to know them better, she wouldn’t be afraid to talk to them at the grocery store. And maybe, just maybe, one of the guys would ask her out. In my dreams.

A hand clamped on her shoulder. She screamed and spun around to face two aliens. Or Zane and Blaze dressed as extraterrestrial warriors.

“Holy shit, you scared me.” Her heart had never beat so fast.

Blaze wrapped his arm around her and drew her into his side. “Sorry, honey, but it was pretty funny.”

Honey? Did he actually mean her? “Found something you like?”

“We saw something we liked as soon as we entered the store,” Zane said, reaching for her hand. He placed his lips on her knuckles then flipped her hand over and kissed her wrist all the way up to the inside of her elbow.

Her nipples pebbled against her dress. What the hell was going on? As much as she’d love to know what it was like to experience either of these men dressed up as aliens—or not dressed as aliens for that matter—even both at the same time—they were strangers. She had to get to know a guy before jumping in the sack with him. Though the images of writhing, naked bodies running through her mind, of what it would be like to have a ménage, left her weak in the knees.

She straightened her shoulders and tucked away those thoughts. Best not to get ahead of herself or hope for the impossible. “Mind telling me what’s going on?”

Blaze pulled her closer, whispering in her ear. “We want you. But first, tell us your name.”

She froze. She didn’t know these two aside from seeing them on the streets and in the grocery store. What did they really want with her? Would they hurt her? Or worse? “It’s, um…. M-Mandy, but…you’re kidding with me, right?”

“No kidding,” Zane said, suddenly behind her. He set his hand on her waist, and held himself against her. “Ever been with two guys before?”

His hard cock pressed through both their clothing to rest in the crack of her ass. She whimpered. Oh God, they were serious. She actually had the chance to live out her favorite fantasy, one she recreated often by using her toys before she went to sleep. One she never thought possible.

She spun away from him, her cheeks burning. “No, but I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

“Why not?” Zane asked, though he backed away. “Do you have a boyfriend? A husband?”

She shook her head. “No. It’s just….” She yearned for Zane to be behind her again, to feel his warmth, his dick. Holy shit, I really do want this. “I’m scared.”

Blaze brushed his hand along her cheek. “We won’t hurt you. We just want to bring you pleasure. I can already smell your arousal.”

She squeezed her thighs together. Was it that obvious?

He leaned in and joined his lips to hers. With gentle prodding, he deepened the kiss. She moaned into his mouth, desire zinging through her body.

Zane moved behind her again, caressing her breasts as he laid kisses along the back of her neck. Her toes curled. Enjoying their touch was so wrong, but she couldn’t find the words to object. All doubt flitted away as primal need took over.

Blaze fingered the hem of her skirt. He lifted it and ran his hands along her thighs. So gentle. Backing away, he and Zane raised the dress up and over her head then tossed it to the floor. They caressed her body with their large hands and warm, moist tongues. Fuck, it’s actually happening! Two men had come into her store, seduced her, and would take her. Right in front of the window.

She pushed Blaze away. “Not here. Not for everyone to see.” Although some adults would appreciate the view, she wasn’t an exhibitionist and didn’t need the local newspaper splashing naked pictures of her onto the front page like a tabloid.

But where to take these two? The back room provided little comfort, but did she trust them enough to take them upstairs to her loft? She rubbed her hands down her arms. If she didn’t decide soon, she’d need their two bodies just to thaw her out.

“Do either of you have condoms?”

Zane wrapped his cloak around her, holding her in his arms. “We don’t, but I can go get some if you want.”

That solves it. She had some in her bedroom. They’d been a gift from her friends when she moved in. She’d never had any reason to test them out. Until now. “Upstairs. I have some there.”

“Sounds good.” He scooped her into his arms, his cape covering enough of her to go outside. “Which way?”

“Straight down this row.” She gripped his neck, excitement buzzing through her. “There’s a door to the left. Stairs are just outside. I live in the loft above the store.” The shop door would lock behind them.

With her in his arms, Zane bounded out the door and up the metal steps, Blaze close behind them. She fumbled to enter the code to her lock and they all burst through the doorway. Zane shuffled his way around her furniture then laid her down on her bed. How he found it in the dim light, she had no idea.

Warm hands glided across her skin, lighting up every single nerve ending. Her boots were removed. Then her panties. She moaned, overwhelmed by sensation. She couldn’t tell which brother lay where, but they were naked on either side of her. Their eager cocks pressed against her thighs. One brother guided her chin until she faced him. Zane.

He pressed his lips to hers and plundered her mouth, his tongue sweeping inside. She groaned into his kiss, hungry for more. His brother sucked on her nipple, heightening her arousal. Holy shit. She was actually having a ménage with two hot brothers. She thrust her hips off the bed, desperate to be fucked.

Zane slipped a hand between her thighs, drawing along her mons. But she wanted him closer, inside her. He skimmed his fingers between the lips of her pussy, filling her with charged tension. She cried out, turning away from him. “Yes, that’s so good.”

He drifted down to the foot of the bed, spreading her legs open. And Blaze inched farther up, capturing her mouth. His tongue tangled with hers in an erotic dance. From one man to another, they left her breathless, unable to think clearly.

Zane laved her pussy, his skilled tongue grazing along her folds, pressing against her clit. She squealed, gripping the sheets. She hadn’t expected the intense pressure of impending orgasm when both men had yet to penetrate her.

“Where are those condoms?” Blaze whispered.

A new rush of desire rocketed through her veins. The guys were actually going to fuck her. She swallowed, hesitant yet anxious for the ménage to escalate. “The nightstand right beside you. Top drawer.”

How was this going to work? Would they take her at the same time? Take turns? She’d never been with two men at the same time before. Would she be able to handle them?

Zane plunged his fingers into her sex. She bucked against him, her head spinning. Going without intercourse for so long had turned her wanton the moment it was offered. She couldn’t wait to feel their cocks inside her.

He circled her swollen clit while gliding his fingers in and out. She quivered, the pressure building inside her. If he kept up his assault, she’d orgasm before being fucked by either one.

“That’s it, honey. You’re so close. I can feel it.” Zane quickened his motions. “Come for me, Mandy.”

He withdrew his fingers and slid them down to her anus, circling her tight hole. She writhed against the pressure of the new torment. Blaze returned beside her, sucking and massaging her breasts. Together, the men made her feel desirable.

In a frenzy of simultaneous explosions, she cried out, gripping the bed. Her release swept over her in intense waves. Neither man let up, prolonging her pleasure until the orgasm finally subsided.

Closing her eyes, she lay back, panting. It had been way too long since her last fuck. And she whimpered for more.

The brothers spread out beside her. She reached out to grab their velvet cocks. Holy shit! Their dicks would be a challenge to fit inside her because of their girth. But she’d try. She didn’t want to stop.

Zane leaned over her, capturing her mouth. She tasted herself on his lips, enjoying the decadent flavor. Proof he had just given her the best orgasm of her life.

Behind her, Blaze fingered her pussy, her asshole, spreading lube all over. He must have found it in her drawer along with the condoms.

Something ripped open behind her. Blaze kissed her shoulder then whispered. “Are you okay, Mandy? You still want to do this?”

She chewed her bottom lip and nodded. Might as well live out my fantasy. Who knows if I’ll get another chance.

Zane stroked the side of her face. “This is all about your pleasure. If you experience any pain, tell us, and we’ll stop. Okay?”

“Okay,” she whispered. Before tonight, she never would have thought guys could be as concerned about her pleasure as they were their own.

Blaze buried himself inside her pussy. She moaned with every long, slow stroke. Zane left the bed, but his brother cradled her into him, holding her, teasing her. Never before had she felt cared for during sex.

Another condom package ripped open. Zane lay in front of her as his brother pulled out. He rolled her on top of him, his erection pressing against her heat. She’d missed the feeling of a cock filling her and eased onto him, taking him deep inside. She gasped as her pussy clenched around his shaft. Need cascaded through her body. How had she gotten so lucky?

Sitting up, she rocked her hips across his groin. He grasped her waist and quickened her movements, hitting her G-spot with every thrust. Shit. She lost control, could no longer hang on, her next release drawing near.

Blaze reached around her to caress her breasts. He worked them in his hands and pinched her sensitive nipples. Nibbling the back of her neck, he sent her over the edge. She bucked against his brother, riding Zane along with the waves of pleasure.

Collapsing against his chest, she fought for oxygen, struggling to calm her pounding heart. She’d just experienced the best sex ever.

Zane brushed her hair away from her face. “Are you ready for more? Do you think you can handle both of us?”

“I….” She hesitated, still scared to delve into this new territory. Except for the extra male, she hadn’t experienced anything unfamiliar. Okay, so the orgasms were out of this world. But to have both inside her…? “Be gentle, okay?”

Blaze massaged the cheeks of her ass, bringing her a sense of calm in the electrified situation. “Always. If it hurts, just say so.”

“’Kay.” Sucking in a lungful of air, she swayed over Zane. Warm moisture dripped down the crack of her ass. Blaze massaged the ring of muscle at her entrance then slipped a finger inside. “Easy now. Relax.”

She concentrated on Zane, his lustful smile barely visible in the dim moonlight shining through her windows. God, why hadn’t they approached her sooner? All this time she’d wanted an experience like this, and they’d been in the same town.

The bed jiggled as Blaze settled behind her. A new force pressed against her ass. Bigger. Harder. Steadying her breathing, she tried to ignore the sharp pinch of Blaze’s intrusion. He took his time, pushing in little by little, allowing her time to adjust.

With a deep grunt, he pressed his hips against her ass. “How are you doing, Mandy?”

“Good.” Oh yes. So full. She moved against them both, taking their cocks inside her at the same time. So much pressure. Pleasure. Intoxicating fulfillment.

She burst in an explosion of ecstasy, gripping Zane’s shoulders as she cried out. “Oh. My. God.”

The brothers took control, driving into her until they, too, released.

She lay, spent, on Zane’s chest, as Blaze wiped her off. If she died at that moment, she would die happy. Zane wrapped an arm around her and kissed her forehead. “Thank you for trusting us.”

She smiled, some of her focus returning. “My pleasure.” Literally. She would never settle for the mediocre lovers she’d had in the past. From now on, it was all or nothing. And these brothers had given her everything.

Blaze lay beside her, draping his own possessive arm across her back. “Ours, too. Hopefully we can do it again.”

“Yes,” she sighed. Exhausted, she closed her eyes, snuggling into the crook of Zane’s neck. After tonight, Halloween would never be the same.

***

“Excuse me, Miss. Hello?”

Mandy flicked her eyes open and gasped. She’d fallen asleep at the counter.

Zane stared at her. Not the Zane who’d brought her unbelievable pleasure along with his brother, but the customer. It had all been a dream.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

She rubbed her eyes. “Yeah, sorry. I must have dozed off. Did you find what you were looking for?”

“We’re the ones who are sorry. We kept you here late.” He set his costumes down and laid his hands on the counter. “It’s Mandy, right?”

She nodded, still trying to shake away the drowsiness.

“Well, Mandy.” He leaned forward. “We haven’t quite found everything we’re looking for.”

“No?” she squeaked out. She couldn’t help but stare at his lips, remembering how he had used them to bring her so much pleasure in her fantasy.

“Uh-uh. See, Blaze and I are going to a party tonight and we don’t have a date.”

His brother approached the counter. “And we were hoping you’d be our date. Our costumes go together, like the perfect threesome.”

Her pussy clenched at the thought and her cheeks warmed. A date with both of them? She squeezed her thighs together.

“That is, if you’re not too tired,” Zane added.

A rush of adrenaline flooded her body, washing away all of her fatigue. “I…I’d love to. I just have to close up the store.”

“Great!” Blaze grinned like a kid in a candy store. “Anything we can do to help?”

She shook her head. “No, it’s okay. I’ll ring you through then meet you outside in a few. Okay?”

“You just made my night.” Placing his hand on hers, Zane brushed his thumb over her skin. “Though I’m hoping it gets even better.”

He winked, sending a shiver down her spine. Would her fantasy come true tonight? Only one way to find out. She hurried through her closing procedures, anxious to join Blaze and Zane outside.

After grabbing her jacket, she locked up the store. In the parking lot, the two customers from her most erotic fantasy waited for her. And if tonight was anything like her dream, it would be the best night of her life.

Victims of Unsynchronized Mishaps – Guest post by Selena Robins and FREE book!!

Please welcome Selena Robins to my blog. Not only is she a huge support to other authors, but she writes fabulous stories. Her book, What a Girl Wants left me busting a gut from laughing, crying, and in desperate need of a fan. Selena, take it away…

~*~*~

It’s happened to all of us at one time or another, right?

When we’ve had to endure minor or major calamities.

The reaction of course depends on how often one unleashes their internal drama queen. Luckily for me, my internal-DQ is in a coma (most days).

If you’ve followed my blog, you would have read where I got gob-smacked (I’ve been waiting to use this word) once or twice with a minor mishaps.

Telemarketers hanging up on me. (I still maintain they hire people who are snooze-instigators).

Through no fault of my own, my close encounter with a cholla cactus—those anti-oxidant little pricks.

Disastrous first date—I shaved my legs for this? Again, not my fault.

Things I think about when doing Yoga. Unfortunately, I say some of those things out loud.

As you can see, I may have had more than one mishap, and probably a few others that I haven’t mentioned, but trust me, they were no where near the calamity of events that the hero and heroine of my newly released, short story, Tempted By An Angel go through when they first meet.

Tempted By An Angel:

Matthew Lockwood hired entertainment for his nephew’s birthday party. Instead an Angel showed up, wearing killer heels, carrying a bouquet of what he thought were balloons and possessed heavenly curves—except she had an attitude that was anything but angelic.

Unfortunately for Angel Montgomery—life doesn’t have auto-correct.

Matthew and Angel are both victims of unsynchronized mishaps.

TEMPTED BY AN ANGEL is a FREE fun, light-hearted comedy short story with a splash of romance.

You can download your FREE copy at the following places:

Kobo /  Sony /  All versions available on Smashwords

Also available on I-TUNES

Readers: Please share any misadventures have you experienced?

We won’t laugh at you. We always LAUGH with you. :)

Excerpt

“Thank you, Pete. I appreciate your help.”

He dangled her keys. She grabbed them and walked to the door as fast as she could without appearing to run.

His sexy drawl seduced her ears just before she opened the door. “But darlin’, if I do have to dig you out of a ditch, I promise I will toss you over my knee, pull your panties down, and tap that ass until you can’t sit.”

She spun around to glare at him. Anger burned in her chest along with a host of other, more erotic, emotions she wasn’t about to confront. Using the one weapon that always produced success, she flashed her best sexy smile. “I’m not wearing panties.”

A bold-faced lie that worked like a charm. His eyes rolled back in his head and closed as he tried to control the desire that flashed over his rugged features. He took a deep breath, and she noticed the seams on the crotch of his pants looked a little strained.

She smiled in satisfaction. Worked every time.

But then he was on her, pinning her against the glass door with his massive body. The entry bell jangled with the force. She couldn’t catch her breath. His hands roamed her sides, touching and grazing. She couldn’t move and didn’t want to. The heat of him lit her on fire, and every place their bodies met ignited a flame.

He buried his nose in her hair and blew a moist breath in her ear. “Won’t that make it easy then?”

The lazy drawl sliced through her like a sharp knife into tender flesh. Goosebumps rose over her arms and the skin on the back of her neck tightened. Her nipples hardened and pressed into his chest. His presence crowded and demanded more space, making her shrink, but the door held her in check. He flattened her upper body against the glass as he fit her lower body snugly to him.

Her head dropped back and banged the door as his iron-hard erection bored into her hip. She still couldn’t get enough breath, and the sound of her panting shocked her.

She should’ve been scared or, at the very least, alarmed, but all she could feel was the pulsing between her legs. And his obvious regard against her hip.

He slipped his hands around to her back and cupped her ass, holding her firmly. His lips feathered down her neck then traveled to her mouth. He placed the softest, sweetest, lingering kiss on her lips. Her knees turned to goo. If he hadn’t been holding her up with his body weight, she would’ve slithered to the floor. Hot didn’t do him justice. Molten worked better. His mouth was soft, but insistent. Hard but gentle. A contradiction she could spend a lifetime analyzing. But right now she just needed to enjoy.

He pulled away and said in a husky voice that concentrated the firestorm between her legs, “Sure I can’t convince you to stay?”

Howloween Blog Hop

Thanks to Drea Becraft for organizing another fabulous hop!

~*~*~

Today I’m sharing an excerpt from my latest release, Crash Landing, an ARE bestseller.

Crash Landing (sci-fi erotica):

As his ship plummets toward Earth, Cael believes his life to be over. His last ditch effort to save himself ends in a fiery crash. When he wakes up, he believes he’s entered the afterlife, but his surroundings indicate otherwise. He made it to Earth. But who saved him, and what do they want with him?

Excerpt:

Cael gasped, bolting upright. He peeked around the room, the same place he’d woken before. He swept off the sheet covering him. All of his bandages had been removed, leaving only slight scarring on his blue skin. He stretched his arms into the air, surprised by his lack of discomfort. Had his captors healed him? Why? And how long had he been out? He needed to escape before they came back.

His semi-hard cock strained for attention and with the need to urinate. One thing at a time.

Bracing his hands on the table beside him and the platform where he’d slept, he rose to his feet. He waited for the dizziness to take over, as usual when he sat up after lying down for what seemed like forever. But it never came. All his grogginess and aches had dissipated. His limbs no longer throbbed. Had whatever they injected into his veins helped to cure his injuries?

He shuffled toward the nearest door, hands extended, ready to catch himself if he stumbled. He didn’t believe he could come as close to dying as he had and not be attached to medical equipment to keep him alive. Unless he’d been unconscious for weeks, or even months. Maybe Terrans had extraordinary healing abilities his people were not aware of.

When he reached the door, he pushed it open, finding fixtures of white porcelain. A bathroom. From the images he’d studied, he found the toilet and relieved himself, thankful that part of his anatomy still worked.

Something thumped against the wall behind him. He spun around. No one else occupied the room. Strange. Was he about to meet the Terran who had rescued him?

“Oh, God,” a woman moaned. “Harder.”

English. A language he recognized. He stood up straight and listened for more. What kind of place is this?

“Fuck me harder, Mare. Make me come.”

Giveaway!!

For your chance to WIN a swag package, tell me what you would do in Cael’s situation. As a visitor to another planet, would you go in search of the people you heard, or would you try to escape? What do you think Cael does?

Contest is international. Contest ends October 29th at midnight. Winner will be notified by email. To earn more entries into the draw, sign up for my newsletter and/or “Like” me on Facebook. If you have already done so, please indicate in your comment. Good luck!

Interview with author Diane Dooley & Giveaway!!

It gives me great pleasure to have fellow science fiction romance author, Diane Dooley, on my blog today. Welcome Diane! Can you tell us about your new release, Blue Nebula?

DD: Thanks for having me, Jessica! Blue Nebula released September 24th from Carina Press, and is the sequel to Blue Galaxy. It continues the story that began in Blue Galaxy, but this time from the heroine, Sola’s, point of view. It’s dark, angsty, and made my big, tough husband cry. (He loves Sola more than me, I think)

Describe your heroine, Sola, in three words.

DD: Damaged, powerful, driven.

What traits does Javan possess that make Sola swoon?

DD: A terrific sense of humor, fierce loyalty, and the ability to love and accept Sola despite her numerous faults.

Now that Sola is expecting, what changes have occurred in their relationship? In their lives?

DD: As expectant fathers are prone to do, Javan has become fiercely protective of Sola and their unborn child. He wants them to settle down somewhere safe and quiet. Sola has other ideas and plans. Their difference of opinion threatens to destroy their relationship.

Destin Grady, is he a character we want on our side?

DD: Absolutely, though his reputation would suggest that he can never, ever be trusted. He is infamous for carpet-bombing New York City and destroying colony ship, the Vesuvian, with all souls on board. He’s a very dangerous man.

What was your inspiration for this story?

DD: I’d originally intended to write Blue Galaxy as a stand alone, but Sola interested me so much I just had to continue. I wanted to get deep into that strange little head of hers. I’m wondering if readers will find the bounce from Javan’s happy-go-lucky personality into Sola’s much darker and tortured one jarring or fascinating. Sola did some terrible things in Blue Galaxy, but nothing could stop Javan from loving her. In Blue Nebula she will put their relationship to the ultimate test.

Who is your favorite character from this book and why?

DD: Sola is my favorite.  Her struggles with her conscience, her desires and her ambition are the focus of Blue Nebula. The poor thing has a terrible time trying to become a better human being. I tortured her horribly. In fact, I tortured all the poor characters. I am awful person *grin*.

What was your favorite scene to write?

DD: My favorite scene to write was the one in which Sola encounters her older sister, Serena. The family reunion does not go well. There are several reunions in this story. I enjoyed writing them all.

Now, I know you write science fiction romance. What other genres do you write in, and what appeals to you about those genres?

DD: I also write contemporary romance, which I find extremely difficult. I like to give my characters deep flaws which can make them somewhat hard to sympathize with. I enjoy the challenging of having imperfect people fall in love with someone who is perfect for them. As you always say, Jessica: “everyone in the universe deserves a happily ever after…”

That’s right! *grins*

DD: I also write horror short stories. In these I indulge my righteous feminist anger, my massive streak of cruelty and my love of dark, twisted humor.

What other titles do you have published?

DD: Blue Galaxy (Carina Press) is a science fiction romance novella written entirely from the hero’s point of view. Makos’ Bounty (Decadent Publishing) is a funny and sexy novella about a one night stand between enemies who are destined to fall in love. My short stories tend towards the horror side of genre, with twisty endings and dark humor, though one of my favorites is, In The Year Twenty Five,  which I wrote for one of your blog events, Jessica. My writing gets so dark sometimes that I tried to write something imbued with hope. I was quite pleased with the result.

With all of your book covers, I’ve noticed a blue theme. Is that on purpose? Is blue your favorite color?

DD: Blue is my favorite color, but the fact that all my sci fi covers are blue was entirely unplanned, though with titles with ‘Blue’  in them I did expect them to be that color. I like the idea, though, of having all my sci fi stuff with blue covers. It would help readers who enjoy my writing in that genre identify them more readily, and would help them avoid my contemporary romance and horror stories if that’s not their cup of tea. Really, though, anyone who enjoys my twisty tales or dark humor, would enjoy my writing in other genres, too, I believe. My next release, contemporary romance novella, That Night (Wild Rose Press) has a very different cover.

What are you working on now?

DD: I’m hard at work and, much to my distress, have far too many works in progress. They include another installment in the “Blue’ series, a horror-imbued gothic romance, a post-apocalyptic love/hate story, a historical novel in the research stages, a trope-twisting contemporary romance, and a short story about a pillar of the community whose hobby happens to be serial killing the local scumbags.  I really need to give myself a hard slap and focus on one thing at a time.

What genres do you enjoy reading?

DD: I’ll read anything. Honestly. High literary, classics, non-fiction, a wide range of genres, poetry. I just wish there were more hours in the day for all the books I want to read!

Is there anything else my readers should know about you?

DD: I adore commas, make fantastic soup, worship my husband, and am a geek of inter-galactic proportions.

Where can my readers find you?

DD: On my blogFacebook and Twitter. Please feel free to stop by and holler at me in any of these places. I have author profiles on Goodreads and Amazon. I also blog regularly at Contact: Infinite Futures and am a regular contributor to The Galaxy Express.

Where can my readers find your books?

DD: Probably my website is the best place to find my books and their buy links. My blog is the best spot to find my short stories. I have them listed here. Many are free, click-through reads.

Thanks so much for visiting us today, Diane! All the best!

DD: Thanks again, Jessica!
