Missing the drawing
I worked through an exercise this morning that reminded me how much I miss drawing. Now I just need to get my timer (Temmy lost it again. I swear, I can’t leave anything anywhere. She finds a way to get into everything! One eyed cats are unbelievably sassy and unstoppable.) and start using it again … Continue reading Missing the drawing

No sleep and no writing, only allergies
Last night was a hard night. Merlin has not been feeling well since I picked him up yesterday. Today, his poor bark sounded way too high as if he’s got a sore throat. I suspect both of us are losing to allergies. Since I was up multiple times with Merlin last night and I gave … Continue reading No sleep and no writing, only allergies

Unexpected
Unexpected things happen every day. For example, cats stretching into comfortable poses while being completely asleep. Is Prancer really comfortable or not. I’m not really sure. But those toe beans are sure cute. But that’s only one happening. Today, my unexpected thing is my eyes burning to allergies. I don’t do allergies, not like this. … Continue reading Unexpected

Gem State Comic Con 2024 day 2
Another brilliant day. I got to the show a little early, so I had a bit of time to run through and talk to some authors. Hopefully made some new friends. Overall, a fun time. Now I’m home, a halfway unloaded, but not unpacked. Return to work tomorrow. Coville gave me a scolding when I … Continue reading Gem State Comic Con 2024 day 2

Gem State day 1
Good day for Gem State Comic Con. A couple of my day job co-workers stopped by to visit with me. Wonderful to see them face-to-face since they work in a different office. One of them brought me a little stone as a present. Made my day. I did manage to get some writing done in-between … Continue reading Gem State day 1

Show day tomorrow
Gem State Comic Con tomorrow at Expo Idaho, starts at 10 a.m. All set up and ready for it. The top hat is prepared. We’re ready to go. (Except, that I learned that I have no 1-800-CallLoki! I’m sold out and just remembered why that is.) Now, I’m going to get some writing done. Cheers!

Inventing
Some days, I think we’d all like the answers to life. The truth is that we are inventing our path every day. Many times, we are not just inventing one path for ourselves, but several that are all woven together and some are further along than others. Especially if one is reinventing his/herself and it’s … Continue reading Inventing

Spring day
Merlin and I got to go for a walk this evening. He was so excited. I swear he knew what was going on the moment I brought out his little buggy’s wheels. It felt really good to get out and stretch my legs on such a beautiful day. It’s supposed to snow here this weekend. … Continue reading Spring day

Passing the energy on
The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin. It dang near jumped off the shelf when I was walking around the Barnes and Noble in Reno a couple months ago. Maybe if you feel it calling to you from reading this short blog, it might be something you want to check out too. … Continue reading Passing the energy on

Personal journey renewed
While I’m trying to make some numbers go up (like my word counts, numbers of titles published, ACEOs finished, etc.), I’m trying to make other numbers go down. Okay, here’s a big leap for me because this is very personal. I am once again on the wagon and trying to get my weight down. Several … Continue reading Personal journey renewed
