PASTOR LLOYD AT PILLAR COLLEGE
Thursday, May 3rd at 7:00am – Pillar College is hosting a National Day of Prayer event at Robert Treat Hotel, 50 Park Place, Newark, NJ. The theme is “Unity” and Pastor Lloyd is the Devotional Speaker.
Making every effort to keep unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. – Ephesians 4:3
All are welcome! Doors open at 6:30am, prayer is 7:00am – 8:00am followed by coffee and bagels.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE
Thursday, May 3rd at 7:00pm – special evening of prayer on the National Day of Prayer.
Our nation desperately needs prayer! God’s people must cry out to him. Come out and pray with us.
Note that this will replace the monthly Prayer & Praise service which would have been held on May 6th.

CALLED TO SERVE
Beginning Sunday, May 20th at 10:00am in Chapel Room A and meeting weekly for six weeks: Called to Serve classes.
This 6-week course is required of all who serve in our ministries. Called to Serve classes are designed to help believers follow the example that Jesus provided as servant of all. You will learn important principles of Christian service necessary to minister effectively in the Lord’s name and in His strength.

BIBLICAL COUNSELING – CLASS 2
Begins Monday, April 9th at 7:00pm in 109 White Oak Lane Room 5.
This 5-week class is designed to equip saints with foundational biblical truths that can help others who are suffering, or in need of biblically-based wisdom, and to encourage saints for the work of ministry, if “only” over a cup of joe at the kitchen table.

MOVIE: TORTURED FOR CHRIST

This film is about persecuted Romanian Pastor Richard Wurmbrand who spent 14 years in Communist prisons for his belief in Jesus Christ and his public proclamation of his faith.

CREATION CONFERENCE
Saturday, April 28th – Monday, April 30th – Creation Conference with Dr. Jason Lisle
Dr. Jason Lisle is a Christian astrophysicist who researches issues pertaining to science and the Christian Faith. Dr. Lisle has always desired to serve the Lord out of love and gratitude for salvation, and to spread the Gospel message to all people. Dr. Lisle double-majored in physics and astronomy with a minor in mathematics at Ohio Wesleyan University. He then went on to obtain a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in astrophysics at the University of Colorado in Boulder. There, he used the SOHO spacecraft to analyze the surface of the sun, and made a number of interesting discoveries, including the detection of giant cell boundaries.
