Cover Reveal for TO SAVE HIM, my newest release!

My upcoming release has been a long time coming.  Some of you might know I actually started writing it in May of this year.  Since then, my personal life has become a bit overwhelming, and that, of course, has slowed my progress.  That said, now that the hardest part is behind me, I know you will love the finished product.  It’s dark (yet full of hope) and steamy in the right places.

But enough about me.  How about a little info about the book that you’ve been waiting forever for?

Throwing Books Across the Room

Those of you who have been following me for a while know that I strive for realism. You might wonder why; after all, much of fiction is fantasy (and I’m not talking about the genre).

It’s because I subscribe to the belief that one must be able to suspend her disbelief while reading to really enjoy a book or movie. Maybe you’re not like that. Maybe it’s easy enough for you to read and go with the flow, no matter what’s thrown your way.

I can’t.

Don’t ask me why. I’m not sure why. But even science fiction, when done right, can feel believable. Horror is the same. But if I read something and find myself doubting, doubting, doubting…well, eventually, I will put the book down. Maybe not at that particular sentence. Maybe not at that particular paragraph or chapter. I’ll even forgive one or two “transgressions” along the way. After a while, though, you’re going to lose me.

There’s a famous series that did that to me (even if you haven’t read it, I promise you’ve heard of it!). I read the first book—hell, consumed is closer to the truth. I devoured the damn thing and the next day drove to the bookstore and bought the rest of the entire series (don’t look at me like that! I still like paperbacks on occasion). Book two, book three, book four. There were some pretty weird things going on but I was along for the ride. A lot of unbelievable elements (some serious throwing on of paranormal stuff—an overload), but still…I was hanging on and suspending my disbelief because the storyline and the characters were so damned captivating.

Until then.

Until book five. Somewhere in the first half of the book, the author did what Stephen King’s character Annie Wilkes (in one of my favorite books of all time, Misery) accuses fictional author Paul Sheldon of doing: “cheating.” Yes, you can stretch and probe and skew my believability index within the context and confines of the book universe you’ve created. But when you PRETEND in book five that something was different in book one when it wasn’t—I know, because I just read the book three days ago—then you have lost me. For good. A character all of a sudden changed his entire motivation to serve the author’s new plot.  Sorry, but that’s unforgiveable in my book.  Pardon the pun.

When Assholes Prosper

I’ve kept my mouth (somewhat) shut for a very long time, but I can’t do it anymore.  I can’t even begin to tell you how incensed I get and how outraged I feel when I see people I perceive as “bad guys” getting ahead when they really don’t deserve it.  Don’t worry–I can hear my dad’s voice in my head reminding me that “life isn’t fair,” but I also cannot be the person who stands on the sidelines and doesn’t say a word against injustice.

Most of you know I’m a huge music fan, particularly of the metal/hard rock genre.  That means, of course, that I not only listen to the music but I often keep up with band news–especially if they’re my favorites.  Don’t worry.  I give a lot of them leeway.  For example, one of the bands in my top five has a lead singer who’s so egomaniacal that I’m surprised his inflated head allows him through normal doorways anymore.  But I forgive him and love him because his music speaks to me.  That said, I’m this close to unfollowing him on Instagram.  He’s too much!  But I want you to know that I get it–I understand that we’re dealing with egos here.  I give those egos some latitude…because I really do get it.

But there’s only so much freedom we should give these egos.  It’s one thing to post a picture of yourself and then kiss your bicep or your reflection in the mirror or pat yourself on the back because you’re so enamored of yourself; it’s entirely another to make others feel bad about themselves because you have removed yourself that much from the rest of us “common” people.  This particular artist might even feel the need to sue me for talking bad about him, so I’m not going to mention his name.  I would seriously have no doubt that he has staff who look up articles about him online so he can continue to feed his monstrous ego…but I’m only speculating.  I’m instead going to talk about real life incidents that I know about.

The first is one you’d never read about, but it’s one told to me by a friend.  A very close friend of mine used to be my boss when I taught writing at the local college and he and I discovered early on that we both loved the same music…so we’d talk CDs, concerts, new tunes–you name it.  No matter how our conversations began, they almost always ended with music.  Well, one of my favorite bands at the time had just released a new album.  My friend told me promptly that he would never buy their music again.  When I asked why, he told me about an incident that had happened at a concert a year or so before.  Yes, he had at one time loved this band enough to attend one of their shows.  Anyway, a bunch of teenage boys were enjoying the music and one of them had his middle fingers in the air.  My friend said he was being a typical kid and hadn’t meant it as an insult.  But the lead singer of the band–let’s call him God Wannabe since I refuse to call him by name–called the kid out and ripped him a new one.  My friend is not an alarmist and is quite good at reading people and he told me that God W was completely out of control and ridiculous and, at that point, my friend vowed to never buy any of the band’s stuff again–no music, no merch, nothing.  But they’re a good band, so he happily borrowed my CD.  At the time, I supported my friend, telling him I trusted his judgment and wouldn’t buy any of their music again either.  I’m glad to say I’ve stuck by that promise, but I was beginning to think it was a silly idea, that maybe God W had learned his lesson.

Well…no.  He’s still an asshole of huge proportion.  Recently, he made the news because he’s an egomaniacal asshole.  Earlier this year he and his band were playing a concert.  One of the concert goers was texting on her phone.  God W called her out on it, ranting and raving that she dared be on her phone rather than give him the adoration and attention he deserved.  It was later revealed that the woman’s daughter was texting her and, being a good mother, she was responding.  I personally don’t give a shit whom she was texting or what she was doing.  God W, by his actions, not only made her feel bad (when she shouldn’t have–and he subsequently apologized for it, but I’ll tell you in a while why that shit doesn’t matter to me), but he ruined the concert for everyone else attending.  First off…have you ever had a parent punish his kid while you were standing right there?  How did it make you feel?  Or did you ever have a couple fighting with you nearby?  I don’t know about you, but it makes me uncomfortable.  A kid getting chewed out by dad or a couple arguing in my earshot is none of my business and I don’t want to be privy to the details.  A concert holding thousands?  The lead singer on a mike chewing out a woman trying to find out how her kid’s doing?  Well…pretty impossible to turn your head and pretend you didn’t hear it.  She was, in a word, humiliated–and she couldn’t even explain herself while God W chewed her ass in front of thousands of people.

That’s secondary, though, to what really irks me.  If I’m a concert goer, I have given the band lots of cash.  Oodles of my hard-earned money because I wanted to see and hear them perform.  I did not pay to hear the stupid asshole lead singer rant and rave at a fan who wasn’t giving him the attention he thought he deserved.  He is ruining MY good time by being a ranting asshole.  I came to hear them play, not hear about how Mr. Ego’s feelings are hurt because not all eyes are on him.  But what about ME?  What about the thousands of other fans who ARE paying attention, hanging on every note, banging our heads and singing along?  By outing the one person not paying attention, God W has negated the rest of us.  Suddenly, our attention doesn’t matter; our money and adoration don’t matter because one person wasn’t properly worshipping.

Seriously.

I can’t support that kind of ego.  This guy…you can Google his name along with the word “rude” and you’re going to get over 50,000 results.  Articles, YouTube videos, you name it.  My friends, you’ve heard me say it before–I love music and I support the bands I listen to with my money.  This?  I can’t support.  I will not EVER give this man my money ever again.  Yeah, my twenty bucks for a CD now and again isn’t going to cut into his retirement fund but it’s the fucking principle.  I can sleep at night knowing I’m not contributing to his megalomania. He apologized to the fan via an interview and that’s great.  I’m glad he did.  But I don’t believe he was sincere.  I think he did it because it was a big deal–it made the news in a big way.  So, for now, I’m sitting on the sidelines just waiting, because megalomania has no cure, and I don’t buy it for a second.  If, in ten years, I hear he’s volunteering to help at the site of a devastating hurricane or sending money to help homeless families…and no longer acting like an asshole, then–maybe–I’ll begin supporting him again.  Till then, I’ll have to catch his songs on the radio.  Damn shame too, because his band is amazing.  But his ego overshadows it all and I can’t support that.  And it’s not the first time I’ve boycotted a band for bad behavior:  Once Upon a Time… (or Lies, the Internet, and Rabid Fans)

Peace out, friends.  \m/

Author Interview: L.A. Remenicky

L.A. Remenicky writes “Love Stories with a Twist.” Let’s see if she tells us why in my interview with her (psst!  I know why!!!).

L.A. Remenicky (photo credit: Jeremiah Schumacher, Schumacher Studio)

L.A., thank you for answering questions for me today. You and I have been friends for a while, and it’s my pleasure to interview you!

We both write contemporary romance. Can you tell my readers how many books you’ve published and what makes yours stand out from the crowd?

I currently have three books published and stories in three anthologies. Saving Cassie and Ragan’s Song are books 1 and 2 in my Fairfield Corners series. These are contemporary romance with a twist of paranormal. I have three more books planned for this series (hopefully book 3, Fate Stepped In, will be out before the end of the year). My other book, Invisible, is romantic suspense. Two of the anthologies I am in were put together by a group of awesome authors: The Awethors. One Night Stand is in Awethology Dark and my short story “Christmas Dreams” is in The December Awethology, The Dark Volume. And I had a story in Sensual Diversions (which is no longer available).

Do you have a bestselling or “breakout” book you’d like to tell me about?

My “breakout” book hasn’t happened yet but I’m hopeful it will happen soon… maybe it will be Fate Stepped In. When Lavish re-released Invisible, it did get put in The Rock Stars of Romance sales section in their email. I was flabbergasted – I’m sure it was due to the ladies at Words Turn Me On who were doing my blog tour – they did a fab job contacting blogs to post and tweet.

Have you written in other genres or do you plan to? Please tell me about them.

Well, I have a feeling I will always write some type of romance, I’m a sucker for a happy ending. I do have story idea that’s shaping up to be a fantasy/sci-fi NA romance (but that may change by the time I get to write it). Also, be on the lookout for some rock star romance RagansSongEbooknext year – I’ve got a four book series in the works: Ground Zero ~ Rock Star Love Stories.

How exciting! It seems a good many authors struggle with writer’s block. How do you cope with that particular problem?

That has been a problem for me this year (along with starting a full-time job!). I had such big plans to publish three books this year but that didn’t quite happen. Usually, if I take some time to relax and read or watch some movies that will usually bring my writing mojo back.

Any rituals you perform before, during, or after you write? Anything you do to get “in the zone”?

I have to have music playing – I usually put on my music player and have it play random – I may get Metallica followed by Keith Urban and then some Styx or REO Speedwagon and then something by John Schneider (yes, he sings). My collection has a little bit of everything. Occasionally, I will select certain songs or types of music to get myself in the right frame of mind if I’m struggling with a scene.

Any of your characters you love more than any others? Hate? Any of them “speak” to you more loudly?

Logan and Cassie will always be my favorites as they were my first. I dreamt about their story for a couple of years before I started writing. Usually, the ones talking the loudest are NOT in the story I want to work on, which wreaks havoc with my deadlines.

SavingCassieHow much of you can we find in your characters? Can you give us an example?

There’s a little spark of me in all my characters. Cassie’s red hair, Adam’s stubbornness, Ragan’s love for her family, Lainie’s shyness.

If we had to read one book of yours, which one would you recommend and why?

That’s a hard question. I would have to say Ragan’s Song. I’ve grown so much as a writer since that first NaNo when I wrote Saving Cassie on a whim.

Tell me about something exciting or weird that’s happened to you since becoming an author.

Author events. The first time someone brought one of my books that they specifically bought beforehand to have me sign, I was giddy. I’m just a shy redhead from Indiana; attending author events has pulled me out of my comfort zone and made me interact with readers. I’m not as outgoing as I’d like to be but I’m working on it slowly. If you see me at an event be sure to stop by and say hi.

What else do we need to know about you and/or your books?

I am so thankful for every reader who picks up one of my books. When I started on this crazy writing journey, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have three published books to my name with more to come. Keep reading and I’ll keep writing!

Saving Cassie and Invisible are available on Audible.com and Ragan’s Song will be available in audiobook soon.LP LAR - Ebook

Renee Dyer’s Newest Book!

As many of you know, I consider Renee Dyer a dear friend, and so I’m helping her out with the release blitz for He Loves Me Healthy, He Loves Me Not.  A portion of the presale proceeds benefit Chiari research.

Title: He Loves Me Healthy, He Loves Me Not
Author: Renee Dyer
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: August 30, 2016
Publisher: Forever Red Publishing

“If you are looking for a book with substance, I highly recommend this.” – Cranky – The Book Curmudgeon

A story of strength, Love and bravery. A story that will make you think and bring you to tears but most of all a story that will fill your heart.” – The Book Fairy Reviews

“Renee Dyer has poured her heart and soul into the pages of the novel, and could be felt more with each word read.” – Prisoners of Print

Chiari.

It’s a strange little word about to change Nick and Brenna St. James’ world forever.

Brenna was raised to believe love conquers all. Losing piece after piece of herself causes her to waver in her beliefs. Insecurities abound and she can’t stop wondering if Nick can love the person she is now. Is it fair to ask him to?

Nick wants a do over. To go back to a time before Brenna was sick, before everything changed. But genies don’t exist, life doesn’t grant wishes, and time machines haven’t been invented. All he can do is follow his heart…and his heart wants Brenna.

Together, they have to face a battle they never imagined.

When fighting is all you have left…

When love can’t heal everything…

When life rests in the balance of the unknown…

When their vows, “…in sickness and in health”, are put to the test…

Will Nick and Brenna be able to fight through the odds stacked against them, or will everything come crumbling down?

From a young age Renee Dyer had a love of writing, starting with a doodle pad at age four that soon turned into journals and later computer documents. Poetry became short stories and short stories became a novel. Although she’s surrounded by males all day having three sons, a husband and a hyperactive chocolate lab, she still finds time to be all woman when she escapes into the fantasy of reading and writing romance. That is, until she needs male perspective and garners eye rolling from her husband. She’s a true New Englander. You’ll find her screaming profanity at her TV while the Pats play and cuddling under blankets during the cold seasons (which is most of them) reading a good book. To her snow is not a reason to shut things down, only a reason to slow down and admire the beauty. Ask her questions and she’ll answer them. She’s an open book, pun fully intended.

Author Interview: Renee Dyer

Renee Dyer is a romance author with a huge heart and a passion for a cause—keep reading my interview with her and you’ll find out why!

Renee, thank you for answering questions for me today. I first met you at the North Shore Author Signing in Massachusetts in 2014. Please tell me and my readers how long you’ve been writing (both published and unpublished).

Do doodlebooks count? I got my first one when I was four and I never stopped. Those little books turned into journals, and then poetry, short stories, and eventually novels. At eight, I told my mom I would write books one day. I didn’t imagine it would take me thirty years to accomplish that goal, but you know…life. It was actually a month before meeting you that I published my first book. I was so nervous going to that signing. I was fan-girling like a teenage girl at a boy band concert, but every now and again it would dawn on me, I’m an author too. It was such a strange day.

Renee, please tell me about your book He Loves Me Healthy, He Loves Me Not and what inspired it as well as what’s coming!

Oh, this book. In October of 2006 I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation. It was then and still is a brain condition that little is known about. In January of 2007 I found out I had to have brain surgery. My life was turned upside down. Within six weeks, I had two brain surgeries, almost dying in between them. For a few years I got better. Almost felt like the me I was before the diagnosis, and then my brain went haywire again. I dealt with it as long as possible, but eventually it lead to another brain surgery. It’s hard to explain in a short answer, but the book is my story and my husband’s story. One day as I was writing the third book in my Healing Hearts series, I Renee teaserthought, the most incredible love story I know is the one I live every day. This man has held my hand through the worst-case scenarios and he still does. I felt that story needed to be told—the story of what happens when love is truly tested. How far can it be pushed and will it survive? Can love really conquer all?

What inspired you to write your first book?

It’s funny. It wasn’t supposed to be a book at all. I wasn’t planning to write anything at that point. I was at a low point in my life and my friend Amie, whom you met with me at North Shore, started getting me to read romance novels. I fought her at first because all I thought when she said romance was the awful books my grandmother gave me as a teen. But she introduced me to Kelly Elliott, Molly

Amie, We Stole Your Book Boyfriend; yours truly; and Renee at the first North Shore Author Signing (TalkBooks) in Massachusetts, April 2014

McAdams (Oh, Chase), Gail McHugh, Heidi McLaughlin, you. My world view was forever changed and something woke up in me. I wanted to write characters that made people want to laugh with, cry with, fight with, fight for. Amie and I would talk and I’d make comments that I would write things a certain way and one day it clicked and she said, “Wait, what do you mean write? How have I known you this long and I didn’t know you write?” So, I began to write her a short story and the personalities were based off the friends in our neighborhoods. Actually the story was based in our town. Well, she liked it so much she kept telling me to write and write and write. And then she made me show our friends. She refused to let me keep it to myself. That’s how I became a published author. Without Amie, I don’t know that I would have taken that step.

I know you write romance, but how else would you describe your books?

Heartbreaking. Seriously, I don’t try to do it, but I always write things that make people cry. I think because I had a lot of tragedies in my childhood, I can tap into that when I write. But I also love writing funny. I don’t want readers being a snotty mess the whole time. That’s just gross.

Do you have a bestselling or “breakout” book you’d like to tell me about?

Not yet, but I have two in the works that I think may just be the ones. One, I’m possibly going to be co-writing with another author. Can’t say who just yet because we haven’t crossed the t’s and dotted the i’s.

Do you plan to write in other genres? Do you have any other books on the horizon?

Oh, yes. I’ve had a vampire series in my head from day one and I can tell you it is like no other vampire book out there. I’ve checked and checked and checked. My mom is thrilled. I don’t know when I’ll get to it, but I have notes written and a couple characters plottedexposed2 already.

I currently have seventeen notebooks going with different book ideas. That does include the rest of the Healing Hearts series. I swear book four is trying to be the death of me. I’ve been working on this book for seven months and I’ve rewritten it more times than I care to mention. Funny thing is, I absolutely love it. Guess I’m a glutton for punishment. I can’t walk away.

It seems a good many authors struggle with writer’s block. How do you cope with that particular problem?

Honestly, I walk away. I’ve tried to write even if it’s bad. That just makes me feel like shit about myself. I go do other crafty stuff, so my brain stays in the creating mode. I make swag. I bake. I craft with my kids. Or I take a lot of showers because my characters tend to like to see me naked.

Heh. Any rituals you perform before, during, or after you write? Anything you do to get “in the zone”?

The zone in my house is a little corner of my couch with my kids running around like maniacs, screaming while my husband eggs them on. I have learned to just type no matter what’s happening. It’s actually weird to work when it’s silent in my house. Give me chaos anytime.

Any of your characters you love more than any others? Hate? Any of them “speak” to you more loudly?

I will always have a fondness for Alex because he was the first character I envisioned and my entire Healing Hearts series came to be because of him. I just love everything about him.

There’s no way to not love Nick because he’s based off my husband.

Davyd is a douche and saying I loathe him is an understatement. Everyone who reads him agrees. I literally felt sick every time I wrote him.

Grams, oh, she is that all-knowing, give-you-a-hug-and-make-everything-better character.

And Mick, I could write this character all day every day. She’s loud. Doesn’t give a shit what anyone thinks and you never know what’s going to come out of her mouth. She’s actually based off one of my good friends.

Tell me about something exciting or weird that’s happened to you since becoming an author.

My seven year old asked me if he can read my books, so I of course told him no. To that he told me, “Well, you’re not cool anymore. Not until you write a book I can read.” I took that as a challenge. He was just barely six at the time. His name is Sam and he loves sharks. I wrote him a Sammy the Shark book (not published). He was thrilled. My then ten year old (now eleven) Aiden was upset I didn’t write him a book, so we’re writing a book together. This is not the co-writing book I was talking about. I’m just waiting for my twenty-one year old to make a request.

Very cool! What else do we need to know about you and/or your books?

They’re long. Hahaha. It’s true. Honestly, over the next couple months, I’m rewriting the first two books in my Healing Hearts series. I love Tucker and Adriana’s story, but my writing has grown since I wrote them and I feel they deserve to be my best and I feel the readers deserve that too. I’m a Virgo; nothing is ever good enough. I try to be as realistic as possible, but sometimes the dreamer in me comes out. It’s why I write fiction. We all need to get away from ourselves from time to time. I’m no different.

Renee Dyer is a tea drinking, Supernatural obsessed Patriots fan (no hating!) who writes what the voices tell her…

Author Interview: Line F. Nielsen

Line F. Nielsen writes romance and poetry–and she’s also a university student. But she took some time out of her busy schedule for a quick interview!

Line, thank you for answering questions for me today. We met on Facebook a couple of years ago and have been friends ever since.

Anyway, I’ve read some of your poetry but haven’t had the chance to read your fiction yet. What impresses me the most is that English is not your native language, but you write and publish in English. What kind of challenges has that posed for you?

Line F. Nielsen

Line F. Nielsen

It’s actually funny you ask this because people usually ask me “Why did you choose English?” and I don’t have an answer for that. Truth be told, I find more challenges in writing in my native tongue. I always have. It’s like I could never be creative in the same way in Danish; the words I had to use weren’t good enough and they didn’t explain what I felt to the extent that I wanted.

BUT with that said, of course, there are some challenges. Though I think of myself as being really good at English, I was still raised with a different language so I’m constantly questioning myself whether my grammar will be good enough or whether I spelled a word correctly. Other than that English is just what I love; it’s even what I am studying on University.

What inspired you to write your first book?

My life is worth something too is a collection of poetry that was inspired by everything I felt and thought. It started as a way of letting go of emotions no one C5965DD5E8B24B8BBCCA843B28F6DECDever truly understood because no one knew there was such a thing as being a Hyper Sensitive Personality back then, and the more I wrote, the more a dream grew, until I realized that I wanted to help other young people to understand they weren’t alone in their struggles.

How would you describe your stories and poetry? What makes them different?

Well, we are never really that different in the end but what I pride myself with is that my stories and my poetry have a great deal of emotion in them. I write with emotion over everything else and I write what I know. I also use my gift as an Empath to write pieces that often shock people because they tend to be spot on. So, what is all me about my writing is that I put a little piece of my heart into everything I touch.

Do you have a bestselling or “breakout” book you’d like to tell me about?

Well, I recently began writing an entirely different project that struck me out of nowhere. I was in the middle of studying for my exams, when I had this dream one night that led to me getting up and turning my laptop on right away and before I knew it, the time was 5pm and I had written 8000 words in a day. I never did that before.

This book is written in a form I haven’t played around with before but it just felt right, you know?

It sets off sorta in the middle of a story. You find this young woman heartbroken after having been without the love of her life for two months. He just disappeared one day without a word and she has tried to pick herself up ever since, without much luck, might I add. He, however, returns but the girl obviously has some problems trusting him and as we go on the story jumps back and forth between present and past until you finally have all the answers at the end – why did he leave and who is he? It’s also features both her POV and his.

It’s quite an emotional book and I even cried writing some of the scenes, though I don’t ever cry over books, or movies for that matter.

BBA0A530B13E44248C61CA8F0A0CB478OMG! That sounds sooooo good, Line. What a great idea for a book. Speaking of which, do you have any other books on the horizon?

Yeah, I’m relaunching From the Shadows very soon; just waiting to get it back from my editor, then I am writing its sequel, which I just got the cover for, Chasing the Light. I have the new book from the earlier question coming out sometime this year (yet to be titled) and other than that I plan to have a spin-off novel for the Light&Shadows series called Chasing Colors and as my poetry never simmers down, there will be a fourth poetry collection at some point too.

It seems a good many authors struggle with writer’s block. How do you cope with that particular problem?

At first I just put my projects aside for a while, try to do something else to get out of my head, and if that doesn’t help, I try to push through it. I am of the opinion that no matter what amount of words you get down each day you write, it is a win because you can’t always be in the perfect mind to write.

Any rituals you perform before, during, or after you write? Anything you do to get “in the zone”?

How strange it may sound—I actually don’t have any. I prefer peace and quiet these days when I write and if hubby starts talking to me, he gets told to shut it. LOL   When I finish, I do like to get up and stretch and do some exercises or go for a walk, though, because you can get kinda busted in the head after having been in your own little writing bubble for a while.

Tell me about something exciting or weird that’s happened to you since becoming an author.

I’ll go with exciting. *smiles* I got to attend my first signing last March, which was super exciting and left me quite humble. I kinda went 84EBE0C7A7CD4775B622178ECEBC8C6Bin thinking that I probably wouldn’t sell much or get to sign much either, being a new author, but I actually sold almost all my books and had a few who came to meet me, which I really did not expect. I met so many amazing authors and readers, and it left me even more convinced that writing is what I’m meant to do. To realize one’s true path is something you just can’t explain; it just leaves you breathless and hungry. On the down side, though, it made me resent my education for a while. I study to be sure I am safe if my dream never comes true (Bachelor with dual focus: Main focus is English; Secondary is Marketing, Branding and Communication).

What else do we need to know about you and/or your books?

I always tell people to ask. Whatever you want to know, just ask. I am a super open minded person and I love to meet new people so never be afraid to write me.

Furthermore, I do a great deal of IG posts about being true to yourself, because I myself am both an Introvert and a Hyper Sensitive Person and I find it really important to stand forward, showing the world that there is no shame in being different. I might not have reached my dream to the extent that I want, but as I see it, the fact that I am able to do what I love to any extent is a victory that I had never dared to even dream about only five years ago and I believe anyone deserves to experience that feeling. The feeling that being different isn’t a bad thing but a blessing because you can create something not everyone can.

Line F. Nielsen is a Danish born writer who speaks English like it’s her second skin. She wholeheartedly believes in chasing your dreams with courage and soul.

What? A *SWEET* Romance from Jade? What is the World Coming To?

First, a HUGE thank you to all of you who purchased Pink Shades of Words: Walk 2016.  As many of you know, I have donated to the cause every year (both by contributing words but also by buying at least one copy of the anthology).  This year, I actually bought several copies as giveaways to readers of my newsletter.

Second…a little bit more about PSOW.  This amazing cause is run by the beautiful Glorya Hidalgo.  Every year, she raises money for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade as Team Captain for the Fifty Shades of Pink team.  She invited me to contribute to the first PSOW anthology in 2014, and I told her this year that I will contribute something every year as long as she will have me.  Glorya’s energy and dedication are tireless, and I’m proud to do my part.

Third…the rights to the story I donated have now reverted to me, so I am going to share that story here.  I want to warn my regular readers that this story is very different from what I usually write.  This is sweet–no sex!  In fact, I don’t have to throw up an 18+ disclaimer this time.
