This is gonna hurt. Someone, anyway. Who wrote in this journal? To whom was it written for? What exactly is inside? Could it be love notes written to a best friend? Or a book of confessions? If so, what kind of confessions? A true identity? Infidelity? Murder? Maybe the author suffers from demons they couldn’t share out loud. Maybe those demons weren’t just inside their head but were people close to them. What if the journal contains poems of falling out of love? Or maybe this is a list of all the girlfriend or wife’s preferred places to eat.

Ooh, fun! It could be anything! What have they found and what could be the implications? Letters to loved ones detailing the reason for the suicide pact? Mummified pet dinosaurs? The Ark of the Covenant? Blackbeard’s treasure? Hundreds of unmatching socks? Could this be the burial site of the lost Roanoke colony and every indication suggest they were murdered? Are the bodies ancient but the devices or weapons with them are more scientifically advanced that what we have today?

Is he a bartender who is stunned and equally impressed with his new beautiful colleague who can out-do him on serving tricks? Amid a damn fine time vacationing at a tropical resort had the sexy girl he met hours before just fleece him? Was he just told the dumbest joke ever?

Most likely photoshopped (let’s hope), but what an interesting prompt.
Is someone stranded in a crumbling, sinking city surrounded by hungry sharks? Has there been a natural disaster or global flooding and sharks have become displaced and looking for food? Could this be the release of genetically modified apex predators as a weapon against mankind by an evil enemy?
