Broken Butterflies update

I have the story part of Broken Butterflies done.  Now I'm going to start edits.  I want it to follow Legion of Bats quickly.  I've had several people begging me for this book, so it should be exciting.

Christmas's Past

So today is Thanksgiving.  As I was cooking this morning I watched A Christmas Story. Classic. Ralphie put on his pink bunny costume and was made to come downstairs and show everyone.  This is how it always is in my family on Christmas-every gift you get you need to show everyone. This brought me back to a time when I was around ten.  I was with my dad in West Virginia. As my family gathered around my grandmothers tree I was passed my first box. Keep in mind that I was ten and half the population of the room were boys and men. My grandma decided that I needed new underwear-why oh why? I had the entire room asking me to show what I got. My face reddened and the sweat poured as I shook my head no.  Finally my dad got irritated and insisted I show my gift. With my eyes down I pulled one pair out and held them up pinched in between my thumb and index finger.  All my cousins burst out laughing and I started crying.  Note to self and any future children I may have-if your kid says they don't want to show a gift off—listen.  Bahahaha.  I hope you all have a great Turkey day. We have so much to be thankful for.  Even in the darkest of times we have blessings.  May many be on all of you this day.

Great New Book

While Olivia Martin observed life through her camera, the abyss gazed back at her. She discovers mysterious men follow her around, people close to her are dying, and her dreams are no longer her own as she falls head over heels for a perfect stranger. A chance encounter leads to an obsession that could destroy everything she has ever known or loved. Olivia is about to find out there is a lot she doesn't know and sometimes what you don't know can kill you.

80's Movies

As I was reading my book this past weekend Fletch was on TV. Classic movie-so damn funny. Anyway, I started laughing because at the beginning there is the traditional 80's synthesized music.  This was in every movie made back then. Of course at the time we thought it was as cool as Aguanet hairspray and Transam's.  Watching movies of that decade now-it's rather annoying. Case in point Beverly Hills Cop-man that one takes the cake. Still great movies, but I think they hat Flock of Seagulls write all the music.   In all actuality I'm surprised anyone survived that decade. If you weren't stuffing your nose with cocaine and driving a Delorean, you were in the high school bathroom spraying more Auganet on your hair around a bunch of girls smoking. I fell into the latter of these groups. Hey the fashion was bad, and the yuppie was born, but we also got hair metal. The only band I follow from the Sunset Strip scene is Motley Crue.  I was more of a Metallica and Iron Maiden girl. Rock on my peeps-hopefully to something other than You Spin Me Right Around.

Writers Fetival

So I have been invited by my friend Daniel to speak at a writer's festival. AAAHHH. That's excitement and panic. It's an awesome way to get my book out there, on the other hand what do I say? There is also going to be a massive book signing. Thankfully this isn't until March so I have some time to prepare.

Dream last night

Stellar, creepy dream last night. For some reason I wasdriving a pickup truck-which would never happen, but on to the good stuff.  I was in a housing development. All the housesstill had the studs showing. Dust drifted across the headlights in the dark.  Ahead, in the dirt road, lay a red flannelshirt and jeans.  As I approached closerin the truck the clothing lifted off the ground.  Like a vampire raising from a coffin it haddepth and a figure filled the fabric. What filled out those clothes was an off the Richter scale hottie guy. Istepped out of the truck and knew I should run and run fast-that feeling ofpure evil radiated off the guy.  InsteadI kept walking toward him. When he pounced that's when I decided to run-idiot.  Long claws dug into my back as he brought meto the ground. I landed face first in the dust. When he flipped me over, insteadof killing me, he kissed me.  Bummer-that'swhen I woke up.
Book for the future??? HHHMMM.  Could be good-the reallyevil guy who has only a soft spot for one girl.   That's what you call crazy Benadryl dream.

Animals and Writing

When reading your manuscript out loud to yourself if your dogs are looking at you like your nuts, does that mean you are? All three of them just sit and stare at me with a look that says-who in the hell is she talking to? So I've decided to play with them. If someone is speaking in an excited voice in the book I say it excited-then they all start barking.  Bahaha.  Then there are my other two trouble makers-my Cockatoo  Bazzle and my cat Moe. Both like to walk across the keyboard. Next thing I know I have gibberish in a paragraph.  I love them all and would never want them to change.

Update to Legion of Bats

I got this round of edits done.  Now I need to go back and read the entire book to myself aloud.  Shouldn't be long now for a release. Thank you all for being patient with me.  It's hard to find time to do all that needs to be done working full time and reading for The Sanction Chronicles.
