NEWS REPORTS: Children Spot UFO Behind Schoo
Sounds fanciful? Well it actually happened. In February 1977 in the remote coastal village of Broad Haven.
It was a Friday afternoon when headmaster Ralph Llewellyn realised something was wrong. His pupils had a story to tell. About a silver, cigar shaped craft that they had seen on the ground in the field behind their school.
At first the headmaster dismissed the tale, but when the kids reported what they had seen to the police, Ralph Llewellyn decided to separate them and, under exam conditions, had them draw what they had seen.
Their drawings matched. So did many of their stories.
David John Davies (10): said that they were standing at the top end of the school playing field watching a bush where the object was sighted. Philip (Rees) was trying to get a close look when up from the bush popped a cigar-shaped object. It was silvery, bright and humming. It seemed to be tugging . Then we all ran. The time was around 3.35pm as they had just finished school.
Philip James Rees (10) stated that he saw silvery object at ground level around 1.30pm after school dinner and was still there when he went back into school at 2.00pm. “My friends and I asked the headmaster to have a look at the object, but he refused. A couple of my friends saw movement of a figure, but I did not. I was frightened. Two friends, Tudor and David, were very frightened.”
Micheal Mathieson Webb (11) : “It was silver and a cigar shape with a big dome and a red light flashing on top.”
BBC news reporters were on the scene and spoke to the children.
After that, all manner of peculiar happenings descended upon the village of Broad Haven. Polterguiest disturbances, UFO sightings, and giant silver suited entities peering in through farmhouse windows.
The mystery of The Watchers had begun.
The truth is coming. 24.09.15

The secret UFO investigation hidden from the public by the MOD
… It’s publication week.
This Wednesday, a day before The Watchers land, I’ll be giving an interview to BBC Radio Wales about the inspiration for the book– a once classified MOD document that proves that military police were asked to conduct an investigation into a spate of UFO sightings in Broad Haven, a remote coastal village.
The then Parliamentary Under Secretary for Defence James Wellbeloved MP, said the MOD had “no record of unusual activity in the area.”
But we now know that a discreet investigation was indeed going on, and was hidden from the politicians.
Nick Pope, who investigated UFOs for the British Government, has acknowledged the significance of the document:
“This bombshell document shows how the MoD's UFO project asked the RAF Police to conduct a secret investigation into these mysterious events, while Parliament, the media and the public were being told the subject was of no defence significance” he said. “Defence Ministers were cut out of the loop so as to allow for plausible deniability.”
I’ll be reading out the contents of this crucial document live on air, so listen out.
The Watchers is published this Thursday.
Be the frist to find out the what really happened in Broad Haven. Pre-order here: amzn.to/1KAnFwf

ITV Casting Announcement - Harry Price: Ghost Hunter
Rafe Spall (Life of Pi, The Shadow Line, Prometheus) has been cast as Harry Price in ITV’s brand new film 'Harry Price: Ghost Hunter' written by Jack Lothian (Doc Martin, Death in Paradise, Ashes to Ashes) and produced by leading independent production company Bentley Productions. Joining Rafe will be Cara Theobald (Downton Abbey, The Syndicate, Last Tango In Halifax) who will play Sarah Grey, one of Harry’s team in his paranormal investigations; Richie Campbell (DCI Banks, The Frankenstein Chronicles) will play Albert Ogoro, Harry’s friend; and Lewis Reeves (Unforgotten, Uncle) will play journalist, Vernon Wall. Further casting includes Tom Ward (The Frankenstein Chronicles, Death in Paradise) as MP Edward Goodwin and Zoe Boyle ( Downton Abbey, Sons of Anarchy) as Edward’s wife, Grace.
The film is a spine chilling mix of real history and fiction and is based on the novel The Ghost Hunters by Neil Spring. Set in 1920s London at a time of rapidly emerging technology, the 1 x 120’ film is a stand-alone story about Britain’s most famous real life ghost hunter and sceptic, Harry Price, who investigated tales of the paranormal and supernatural.
An expert at sleight of hand and with a keen eye for identifying charlatans and tricksters, our story begins as Harry has fallen on hard times in recent years, professionally and ethically losing his way. He’s resorted to making his living as a fake medium and fraudulent ghost hunter, conducting séances for unsuspecting families who think their lives have been made a misery by ghostly mischief making.
Harry’s duplicitous lifestyle has also had serious consequences when, after conducting a séance for a soldier looking for solace, the young man later takes his own life on the doorstep of Harry’s home.
A couple of months later, Harry is offered the chance to investigate the haunting of a local MP’s home as the case threatens to ruin the politician’s reputation. With the prospects of leading his political party, Edward Goodwin can ill-afford the scandal as his wife Grace begins to hallucinate and act bizarrely, believing their family home to be haunted. There’s a possibility Grace may be committed to an asylum if Harry doesn’t take on the investigation. Ghosts from Harry’s past influence his decision to take the case and he begins to think it might be time to take a new path.
Together with the Goodwin family maid, Sarah Grey, whose own mother has fallen prey to con artist mediums in the past, their detection and investigative skills complement one another and they make a formidable partnership. Smart, driven and open-minded, Sarah is a strong-willed woman who can handle herself when unravelling the mysteries behind the hauntings, which are seriously affecting Grace’s health and well-being.
Harry also calls on the services of his old friend, Albert, during the investigation. An African pharmacist with a sideline in voodoo con-artistry, Albert has a keen interest in medical and scientific discoveries, which Harry exploits to the maximum.
Journalist Vernon Wall also finds himself in Harry’s orbit. Cynical and hard-bitten, although clever at winning the trust of the people he’s interviewing, Vernon is keen to learn about Harry’s techniques and sensing a political scandal sets out to inveigle his way into his life by extracting information from Sarah.
Rafe Spall said: “I’m delighted to be portraying Harry Price for ITV. It’s a fantastic piece of history that has mass appeal and I can’t wait to start filming”.
Harry Price: Ghost Hunter will be executive produced for Bentley Productions by Jo Wright (Midsomer Murders, The Sculptress, Othello), produced by Denise Paul (Doctor Who) and directed by Alex Pillai(Being Human, Da Vinci's Demons, Merlin).
“It’s a great thrill to be making Harry Price: Ghost Hunter for ITV,” said Executive Producer, Jo Wright. “Bentley Productions is developing a raft of new and exciting projects and this is one of my favourites. To be able to combine the book by Neil Spring with a script by Jack Lothian has been a delight, and we look forward to making this for our ITV audience.”
The film has been commissioned for ITV by Director of Drama Steve November and Controller of Commissioning Victoria Fea.
Filming will be commencing in London from the end of August and throughout September 2015.

Play your part in something BIG
The Watchers
Publication day for a new novel is always exciting.
I remember the build up to publication of my first novel, The Ghost Hunters, like it was yesterday.
The countdown, signing off the proofs, getting pre-orders, sending out the excerpt, delivery of the first copies, raising awareness on twitter, rounds of interviews, the preview party, the series of launch events, and finally waiting nervously - very nervously - for the first reviews.
Thankfully, the novel became a bestseller. And in a few weeks, work begins at Pinewood Studios to turn it into a two hour movie for ITV; which could also lead to a returning series.
Amazingly, the publication of The Ghost Hunters was nearly two years ago. And now I'm preparing to do it all again! In just 40 days, my second novel The Watchers will hit the shelves of bookshops across the country; and already, television production companies are bidding for the rights.
With over 500 new books due to be published on Super Thursday, just two weeks after The Watchers lands, I need your support to make an impact and stand out in the crowd. So this time, we're attempting something BIGGER than before.
I'm using a new service called Thunderclap with the aim of reaching 1,000,000 people on the day of publication and tell them about #TheWatchers.
But I need your help to do it.

ITV commissions Harry Price: Ghost Hunter
The Ghost Hunters
“To believe in the paranormal, in the possibility of another world beyond ours – it’s seductive”
ITV has commissioned Harry Price: Ghost Hunter to be produced by leading independent production company, Bentley Productions.
Set in 1920s London at a time of rapidly emerging technology, the 1 x 120’ film is a stand-alone story based on Britain’s most famous real life ghost hunter and sceptic, Harry Price, who investigated tales of the paranormal and supernatural.
Written by Jack Lothian (Doc Martin, Death in Paradise, Ashes to Ashes) and based on the novel The Ghost Hunters by Neil Spring, Harry Price: Ghost Hunter is a thrilling, spine chilling mix of real history, fiction and the famous legend of Harry Price.
Harry’s duplicitous lifestyle has also had serious consequences when after leading a séance for a tragic soldier a young man commits suicide on the doorstep of Harry’s home.
A couple of months later, Harry is offered the chance to investigate the haunting of a local MP’s home as the case threatens to ruin the politician’s reputation. With the prospects of leading his political party, Edward Curtis can ill-afford the scandal as his wife Grace begins to hallucinate and act bizarrely and very much out of character as she believes their family home to be haunted. There’s a possibility Grace may be committed to an asylum in scandalous circumstances if Harry doesn’t take on the investigation. Ghosts from Harry’s past influence his decision to take the case and he begins to think it might be time to take a new path.
Together with the Curtis family maid, Sarah Grey, whose own mother has fallen prey to con artist mediums in the past, their detection and investigative skills complement one another and they make a formidable partnership. Smart, driven and open-minded, Sarah is a strong-minded woman who can handle herself when unravelling the mysteries behind the hauntings, which are seriously affecting Grace’s health and well-being.

The film has been commissioned for ITV by Director of Drama Steve November and Controller of Commissioning Victoria Fea.
“Harry Price is an intriguing character at the very heart of the drama,” said Steve. “Jack Lothian’s wonderful script is a skilful blend of fact and fiction as Harry’s past, his fascination with the paranormal and his faith in science are all real yet set against a fictional backdrop of political conspiracy and scandal. We’re delighted to commission this film from Bentley Productions in the hope the audience will be captivated by Harry,” he added.
Details of casting will be made available in the coming weeks with filming for Harry Price: Ghost Hunter taking place in London in September and October 2015.
