Alias Released Everywhere Today!

[image error]For those of you who’ve been waiting patiently for the wide release of Alias – today is the day! It’s now available to buy as a Kindle/e-book and paperback from pretty much anywhere that sells ’em, and the audio book should be released very shortly, hopefully before the end of the month.

As ever, reviews, ratings, and kind words are very welcome. Positive word of mouth is worth its weight in gold and nothing makes authors happier

Playing with Point of View – Alias

[image error]I’ve been chatting with a few readers about writing Alias from a first person point of view, and happened to mention a recent writing exercise from the Bold Strokes author retreat where we played around with switching the POVs in a particular scene. The workshop gave me my one and only chance to write from Pryce’s POV and I said I’d share it on here for people to have a toot at.

It was written on quite a tight deadline, and I’d probably have included more detail had this been in the actual bo...

Mountains, Manchester, Lakes, and Lighthouses – Setting the ‘Alias’ scene

A few years ago, a scavenger hunt sent me and my missus to the top of Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak. The summit itself wasn’t much to write home about, but we were surrounded by spectacular mountains with countless paths snaking amongst them, and we swore we’d come back one day to leave the crowds behind and properly explore.

Flash forward a couple of years, and, not counting one rained-off attempt, we still hadn’t managed our return-to-Wales hiking...

Alias Giveaway Winners

A big thank you to everyone on here for taking part in the Alias giveaway. Across Facebook, this blog and Goodreads, almost 200 people put their names into the hat and the winners were Lee Michelli Baker, and Elaine Mientus Mattern.

Cheers to you all for your enthusiasm. If you’re an audio fan, I’ll be doing a giveaway of the audio book as soon as I get my freebie codes – closer to the June release date – so keep an eye peeled.

Schedule for Bold Strokes UK Bash

For all those planning to attend the BSB UK Mega Bash in Nottingham this year (5-6th May, with about a squillion overseas and UK authors attending), here’s the full two day schedule of happenings, panels, signings, eatables, etc.

Due to the sheer size of the thing, the event is being split between the Nottingham Waterstones and the Mercure hotel so keep an eye on where you want to be and plan accordingly!

Tickets are £3, redeemable against a book, and they’re available from here.

Bold Strokes UK Mega Bash!

The 2018 Bold Strokes UK book bash is going to be absolutely massive this year, with a load of authors from all over the world scheduled to tip up in Nottingham for the event. And I really do mean a load. It’ll all be happening May 5th – 6th at the Waterstones in the centre of the city. I can pretty much guarantee you’re not going to find this bunch at another UK gathering for a good while so make the most of them while they’re here. And yes, I’m giddy as fuck about this. It’s going to be fab...

Interview with Nicola Victoria Vincent – Audio Book Narrating Wizard!

I recently finished listening to the Dark Peak audio books and, like quite a lot of folks, I absolutely adored the way that Nicola Victoria Vincent narrated them. When I wrote to her to do a bit of shameless fangirling, I asked whether she’d take part in a Q&A because I was fascinated by the whole recording process and I wanted to know more. She very kindly said yes and didn’t run a mile when I sent her a ton of questions. I definitely owe her a brew for this…

New Book ‘Alias’ Due for Release in Spring

Well slap my arse and call me Mary! I finally have some new book news

Alias – my seventh novel – is scheduled for publication in spring, 2018. It’s a standalone thriller/mystery with a complicated and somewhat prickly relationship bubbling in the background, and it’s set in Manchester and Snowdonia. I can’t give much away, hence the deliberately vague blurb, but oh my, I do so love its cover…
