rdhero:

so I’m bored as frickity frack of studying. I thought I’d tell a little tale:

Somnolence came about because I noticed someone request something on a forum I used to frequent a lot. Her prompt:

I want to see a story with a younger dom and older sub. It doesn’t have to be hardcore BDSM but I definitely would like the younger dom to call the shots, be the obvious alpha of the two and willing to be handsy. Some resistance from the older sub would be lovely due to the fact the dom is younger (but of legal age, please) and perhaps not comfortable with the idea of being dominated. Oh and lots of explicit sexytimes. And a romantic relationship evolving out of this would be the icing on a very awesome cake. Anyone who would like to take this on? Would be much obliged.

Possible scenarios:

Younger boss/dom and older employee/sub

College/Uni athlete dom and older professor/staff person

Younger alpha werewolf and older sub werewolf

Obviously this spoke to my soul, yes? Welp, Somnolence was supposed to be a little different than what it turned out to be, and today I was itching to actually fulfill this prompt. I chose werewolves! And it’s something I have plans for, so I’m not going to post it on FP. It’s about 1/2 done (maybe 1/3rd) but I plan to have it finished by the end of the week.

Ok, so I’m going to have this post up for about an hour or two while I study, and the asks/mail that come in during that time will get a private response with a link to the gdoc of this fic. When I finish the fic, link goes down about a day later :)

You brave soul. I always get a little spooked with I find people creeping in my gdoc while I’m typing. But then I can hardly spell my own name and it takes a lot to get my stories legible.

“Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people’s hats off - then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can.”

“We ought not to confine ourselves either to writing or to reading; the one, continuous writing, will cast a gloom over our strength, and exhaust it; the other will make our strength flabby and watery. It is better to have recourse to them alternately, and to blend one with the other, so that the fruits of one’s reading may be reduced to concrete form by the pen.”
