TSP is...

ANNOUNCING THE SLASH PILE TUMBLRTSP is dedicated to original slash fic, movies, comics and art with LGBT themes. Posts will include:
Recs: Followers can submit recommendations for slash works.
Requests: Follows can request recommendations for fic.
Fic-Searches: Followers can post calls for help naming fic they can’t find.Other types of posts may include discussions (held on disqus), author guest posts, and we’re certainly open to suggestions for new ideas!
This tumblr is for all things original slash, i.e. non-fandom related works. There is a full archive (2009-current) of recommendations at TSP’s livejournal. Here, our objective is to expand the audience of original slash, and hopefully to inspire new authors to join the genre!

Maybe my favorite scene in a movie ever.
Oh, that is really one of the most delicious feelings! One of the first things I did as an ‘adult’ was buy a 20lb bag of rice and play this out over and over! I love this movie, beautiful actress, great scenes, and wonderfully deep thoughts!
Oh my, that’s wonderful.

I’ve seen this in others since I was probably six years old, but for some reason it took me almost 30 years to apply this concept to myself. Thrashing around trying not to hurt is a hell of a way to live. I call it monstering.

oh it’s historical fiction, not just fanfiction Madeline Miller really knows these characters and the Illiad she got some flack from ~serious historians~ for including a sex scene, when this was Ancient Greece and it isn’t that OOC
Haha ~serious historians~ Wasn’t Ancient Greece kinda a raunchy place?
I was teasing a little bit by calling The Song of Achilles a fanfic, but I also think fan fiction is a significant cultural contribution and isn’t necessarily in opposition to being educated or well researched. Miller’s great understanding and love of the Iliad comes out in the writing and meets up with so many of the things I also love in the work. I get a lot of pleasure out of how she weaves the plots of Homer’s epic into her narrative and then draws out things like queerness and the female experience. My favorite kind of fan fiction is the kind that does something to you so that you can never look at the original work in the same way again.
