Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween, y’all! Happy Birthday, Dad!
Just as soon as the next link goes live on my blog tour, I’ll share it with you. In the meantime…
It’s been kind of a crazy few days. We’ve had a whirlwind of medical visits for my mom, and it’s culminated with the need for open heart surgery. We’ll be getting her set up for that in the next week, or so. Then, we’ll get her recovered and back on her way to playing baseball and running a paper route.
I want to give my husband a big shout out because af...

Pageant Style Closet Porn
Today, I have a guest post over at Melissa’s Mochas, Mysteries, and More. I’ve worked really hard to make sure every guest post is fresh, so run over and read it, please! I think you’ll enjoy it.
I am also visiting with Musings and Ramblings, where I answered a Q&A, you can read an excerpt, and a review. I am holding my breath to see the review!
Meanwhile, when I was sending the TIARA TROUBLE manuscript off to my (wonderful, glorious, brilliant, helpful, fantastic) Beta readers, several of them...

Interview With the Author: The Fast Lane
It’s here! It’s that day! The official launch date of TIARA TROUBLE! Yay! Wahoo! Woo! *confetti*
Kate Eileen Shannon has a review on her blog, Rantin’, Ravin’ and Reading–she calls TIARA TROUBLE “criminally funny”, and there is an excerpt up on Lavender & Camomile Press. Check out both blogs for even more reading goodness.
Right now, though, for Author Monday…How exciting is this?! I get to interview myself.
Lane Buckman and her little prince.
So a little bit about me. I’m Lane Buckman, and I’ve...

Next Tuesday, I’ll be joining the Little Read Hensover on Facebook, to talk about Tiara Trouble. Someone New to Watch and Watching Me
Among the interesting people I met in Boston, was Jackie Hennessey. Jackie is a Rhode Islander by way of Texas A&M, so we got on like a house on fire. Jackie writes the blog Venting Sessions, and has authored a book called HOW TO SPREAD SANITY ON A CRACKER. Definitely check her out! She’s witty and kind, and she’s winning lots of awards.

You Guys!!!
I’ve been answering a lot of interview questions for the upcoming blog tours, but no one has asked the one I want to answer yet. That question is this: What has been the best part of TIARA TROUBLE’s release. I want someone to ask me that so I can give this answer:
The best part of the release has been the people. The absolute best part of this whole thing has been the response of my friends, my family, and the new people I am meeting through the book. If I had any doubts (and what writer doesn...
Boston Me Party
The Boston Book Festival was fantastic. It was a whirlwind of a trip, and I wish I’d had more time to spend in the city, but what time I had was well spent with good old friends (Lori-Anne and Laura, thank you so much!), good new friends, and a lot of happy, mystery fans.
I’m copping out on you for today’s post. I have a signing at the University of Texas at Arlington this afternoon, and I’ll check in once that’s done. Meanwhile, I fell in love with Boston!
More to come.

Friday, Fly Day
Assuming all is going according to plan, by the time this posts, I will be somewhere above…West Virginia? I don’t know. I know I am supposed to land in New Jersey around 11am, and then I have a couple of hours to get to my connecting flight to Boston. I thought I had booked a direct flight, but clearly did not. Thus and so, I should arrive in Boston around 1:30 or 2.
Aside from the excitement of the book festival itself, I am getting to meet up with my friends Lori-Anne and Laura. I am out of...
