I see

I sense the velvet likefragility of a mothwhen I close my eyes
I feel the tremorsof the earthwhen I close my fist
I hear the eagles flying highwhen I close my ears
I recognize the rapidflutter of dying lovewhen I close my heart
I dream of the senselessmarch to destructionwhen I close my world
I see the velvet likefragility of a mothwhen I close my eyes
Goodbye.
(what do you see?)

Moon hope
There is a moon Hanging over the window tonightAnd I feel it is soonSomeone will come to make it right
Trapped inside wallsOf my own doing, I hideIt has been a long fallMy tears of loneliness, long dried
The doors are unlockedI could walk out I supposeBut what lies around the blockNo one knows, no one knows
I hear the footstepsI cringe even as they pass my doorI have been here foreverNever knowing what will come forth
There is a moon Hanging over the window tonightAnd I hope it is soonSomeone will convince me to fight

if you have never been to this enchanted land, you would not be able to visualise the grace of hands brought together, to signify respect and welcome. the flick of fingers in rhythmic response to the gamelan brass orchestra - anger. love. goodbye. in a drama that unfolds through dance. and dance alone.
hands, beckonanger. love. goodbyethe music begins
if you have never been to this legacy of romance, you would not be able to listen to the million fables brought together, to represent centuries of storytelling. or the flick of fingers in rhythmic response to the voice of the penglipurlara - makyung. wayang. mulung. in a drama that unfolds on stage. alone.

if you have never been to this world of grace, you would not be able to smell the million scents brought together, to represent centuries of tradition. or the flick of fingers in rhythmic response to the brass pots and wooden stove - cloves. curry. cinnamon. in a drama that unfolds above the fire. and fire alone.

Earth - couplets, haiku and a pleiade

I wonder why the clouds are greyWith not a sight of raindrop all day
Rivers no longer rush with thrill to seaAmidst sluggish crawl to break free
From all the hazards from the townsFrom way up high, down to the ground
Is it time for mother earth to retreatAbandon all of us to our own beat
Shall we be like moths to the flame
When no one is left to take the blame
As she rises in all her fury and mightAnd we will be defeated in this fight.
