Doctor Who Series 9 Available to Order in US Now!

Joe Siegler is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

Doctor Who in the United States used to take forever to get here from England, both on television and on home video.  That of course has changed in recent vintage with the show being on BBC America the same day as it airs on the BBC. This extends to home video too.  Digital services such as Amazon’s video store and iTunes too have the new episodes the day after they are shown on TV.

If you’re a true cord cutter here in the US, then you have to rely on services such as iTunes, because BBC America is only available on cable & satellite TV. Happily, the various video stores here in the US are all taking pre-orders on Doctor Who Series 9. All of them have the current trailer as part of the series too – which is free (some refer to it as Episode 0).   Here are some details and prices for the various services.

Vudu: $30.90 HD / $22.99 SD

iTunes: $30.99 HD / $22.99 SD
Amazon Video: $33.99 HD / $22.99 SD
Microsoft Video: $33.99 HD / $22.99 SD
Playstation Video: $29.99 HD / $22.99 SD

In addition, Amazon.com has a listing for a DVD release for November 3rd, titled “Doctor Who: Series 9 Part 1“. I presume this will be a bare bones DVD release with just the first batch of episodes. This presumes there will be a Part II with the back half, but that is not listed on their store at the moment.

Upcoming Doctor Who Target Novelisation Releases from BBC Audio

Billy Garratt-John is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

There are few staples in Doctor Who‘s history that have had the same longevity as Target. From their original publications, to subsequent re-issues, worldwide success and many children’s first introduction to the programme, Target has ruled supreme for almost as long as the show has.

Part and parcel with Target’s continued legacy is the welcome return of BBC Audio’s unabridged readings of these classic novels. Over ninety of these literary greats have been voiced by the likes of Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Paul McGann, William Russell, Caroline John, Elizabeth Sladen, Sir Derek Jacobi and many, many others. With the folding of the BBC’s most recent distribution arm AudioGo, the line was halted indefinitely which was a sad sight to behold. It felt like part of Doctor Who‘s legacy had been curtailed.

But they’ve still been coming out! Don’t ask me how. All I know is that BBC Audio has taken back the reins and a steady flow of new titles have just been added to Amazon, taking the range up to April 2016. Wrapping up 2015 are The Two Doctors (read by Colin Baker), The Curse of Fenric (read by Terry Molloy) and K-9 and Company (read by John Leeson).

The range then continues into 2016 with Doctor Who and the State of Decay (read by Geoffrey Beevers, although you may prefer the Tom Baker version) as well as The Space MuseumDeath to the Daleks and Cybermen – The Invasion, each of which are yet to have their narrators confirmed.

Meanwhile, William Russell’s performance of Nigel Robinson’s An Unearthly Child, originally scheduled to be released during the 50th Anniversary celebrations, but due to the AudioGo’s bankruptcy and rights issues, continues to be unavailable

(With thanks to Leigh)

Doctor Who Miniatures Game Announced by Warlord Games

Katie Gribble is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

In an announcement on their website, WarLord Games revealed that they had been granted the licence to produce a miniatures game based on BBC’s Doctor Who.

WarLord Games began in 2007 and since then have designed, manufactured and distributed finely detailed historical miniatures covering everything from the Ancients right through World War Two and beyond. Their range has been constantly expanding and evolving since their humble beginnings when they started to make the range of 28mm miniatures and accompanying rule systems. Whilst they are mainly known for their historical minifigures and game types, they also work in other fictional universes, recently moving into sci-fi with Beyond the Gates of Antares.

John Stallard, Managing Director of WarLord Games, has described the feel of WarLord as different to other miniatures companies: ‘the way that I envisioned it was to be the meeting point where Airfix excitement met Games Workshop excitement – a blend of the historical and the fantasy.’

This statement accompanied by the back catalogue of WarLord Games works fits perfectly with Doctor Who. Indeed, in their official announcement, they state their excitement as lifelong Doctor Who fans to be working on such a project with official BBC backing.

‘The licence covers not just the latest series of Doctor Who but encompasses all of the Doctors, their companions and their foes. So, expect to see Sea Devils as much as Weeping Angels, Leela as much as Martha Jones, and a long, brightly coloured scarf as much as a fez (fezzes are cool, by the way…).’

dw700a

The company will produce a starter game as well as a hardback book detailing instructions for how to defeat Doctor Who‘s foes. There will be a new game system devised to fit into the Doctor Who universe and to allow the existing characters to work to the best effect. John Stallard, managing director or Warlord Games, said that he expects Cybermen and Daleks to be the most popular figurines. “You can’t beat a Dalek,” he added.

Work started recently on the figurines and Mr Stallard said that he hopes the first games should be ready in a few months. They have reportedly started sculpting the first models, commencing with ‘the bad guys’ and once these have been  approved by the BBC they can start on the figures of all 12 Doctors confirmed for the set.

There has already been much speculation about the storyline which will surround the tabletop version of Doctor Who. Will there be a Time War element? With the license spanning both the entire Classic series and the new series since 2005, will UNIT make an appearance? Will some of the other war based races like the Sontarans feature heavily?

There are certainly a lot of opportunities to be explored in this new version. It’s only a matter of how well table top gaming and Doctor Who can merge. What could this bring to the Doctor Who universe? Will you be looking forward to the figurines? What would you like to see from a tabletop version of Doctor Who?

The five-part weekly event from Titan Comics, Doctor Who: Four Doctors, continues with issue 3 this week. But we can’t tell you anything about that until tomorrow, so until then, here’s a reminder of the motion comic trailer.

Running through August and September 2015 while the ongoing series take a short break, the run features all three of Titan’s regular Doctors, plus the War Doctor.

Hotsy Totsy News Blast Featuring Class Warfare and Apples

Philip Bates is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

Gather around, ladies and gentlemen, multi-forms and undecided. For I have news.

What news do I have? Well, maybe you should learn to be patient and I’ll tell you all about it, you little tike. The nerve of these kids nowadays. Fine. A teaser of what’s to come: Maisie Williams. The Radio Times Festival. Amy Pond. And burlesque. Oh, see, now you’re interested. You disgust me.

But first, we start with something downbeat…

Alan Wakeman (1936- 2015)

We’re sad to report that Alan Wakeman, who was commissioned to write an early First Doctor script, has passed away at the age of 79.

Wakeman wrote the synopsis and first script (Airfish) of The Living Planet – literally a serial in which the TARDIS lands on a planet that’s actually a living creature. It’s an idea frequently used in non-canon stories, but this story never made it to screen; Alan was paid a half-fee of £75 for development of the idea, but the Who crew felt it was too adult for the show.

The synopsis and script was reprinted in 2012’s Nothing at the End of the Lane #3, still on sale for £5.99 (plus p&p).

He was also an important figure in the Gay Liberation Front, and took their ideals to student unions in a bid to fight the prejudices he experienced from a young age. Alan’s friend, Andrew Lumsden wrote in his tribute:

“Alan was a vegan from the ’70s, and to encourage others he wrote The Vegan Cookbook with Gordon Baskerville, published by Faber and Faber in 1986 as one of the first such books in its field. It remains a staple volume on the bookshelves of many vegans and vegetarians. He also wrote an English translation of The Little Prince children’s story in 1995, a version admired by the family of the book’s French author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.”

Wakeman’s autobiography, Fragments of Joy and Sorrow, was released in June.

The Radio Times Festival

PeterCapaldi12

The Radio Times Festival is being held next month, and three big names have been added to Sunday’s The Women of Sherlock talk: Una Stubbs, aka Mrs Hudson; Louise Brealey (Molly Hooper); and Amanda Abbington (Mary Watson)!

They join co-creator, Steven Moffat and producer, Sue Vertue in the hour-long session during which they’re expected to chat about the impact of these important characters on the Great Detective’s life. And is the Radio Times hinting that another announcement is due? They state:

“The Women of Sherlock will be in session from 5–6pm, and doubtless have plenty to talk about: the man from 221b Baker Street has been off our screens for 18 months now, and an air date for his much-anticipated Victorian Christmas Special has yet to be confirmed.”

Might the special be confirmed for a specific festive date? Maybe Christmas Eve? Or even over New Year?

In related news, the publication wants your questions for Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi, who will be joining Moffat and producer, Brian Minchin at a Friday panel focusing on everyone’s favourite show! There’ll be an audience Q&A, sure, but the Radio Times wants you to tweet your questions (using the hashtag, #RTFestival) or email them to hello@radiotimes.com.

The best ones will be read out on 25th September!

The four-day event also includes sessions about Strictly Come DancingPoldark, and more, and is held at at The Green at Hampton Court Palace, from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th September. Former showrunner, Russell T Davies will also be the focus of one panel. Yep, tickets are still available!

Christopher’s Class Crusade Continues!

Former Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston

I’ve been rewatching Series 1! Okay, so that’s not news you care about, but it does lead nicely into a great interview with the Ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, who continues his crusade against class divisions in television and theatre. He said:

“Acting was a huge escape for me. But nowadays, if you’re from my background, the door is almost shut. All the classical roles in London’s West End go to white, middle-class males, and we get a culture that resultantly bland. To be honest, I find it very disturbing.”

Eccleston will be playing DCI Leonard “Nipper” Read in Legend, a biopic about the Kray twins. Nipper famously arrested them in 1969, and the pair were sentenced to life imprisonment. And while Christopher doesn’t agree with romanticising the Krays, he said:

“On a psychological level, the Krays were interesting. I myself have identical twin brothers, eight years older than me, so I know how extraordinary that relationship can be.”

Legend, which also stars Midnight‘s Colin Morgan, We’ll Take Manhattan‘s Aneurin Barnard, and A Series of Unfortunate Events‘ Emily Browning, is released in the UK on 9th September and 2nd October in the US.

An Apple A Day Keeps the… Ah, Never Mind

Ah, Amy Pond. How I miss the days she and Rory were dotting around the universe with a mad man in a box. Actress, Karen Gillan revealed that she keeps Pond very close to her heart – or more accurately, in her living room!

I keep this in my living room. Anyone recognize it? pic.twitter.com/JxM6EJIvAg

— Karen Gillan (@karengillan) August 20, 2015

That’s the locket she wore in her final regular appearance in Doctor Who: The Angels Take Manhattan.

The Radio Times points out that Amy wore numerous necklaces throughout time and space, notably the ‘A’ in The Impossible Astronaut (2011), and the apple on her wedding day in 2010′ The Big Bang (identified by RT as a “red… thing”; but yes, it’s an apple, ie. a hint that the events of The Eleventh Hour weren’t completely forgotten!).

Kissing it to Death

It’s burlesque time again. Not something I expected to write today, but there you go.

The Hotsy Totsy Burlesque brings their tribute to Doctor Who to New York’s Slipper Room, 167 Orchard St, (at the corner of Stanton, on the second floor) on 11th September. Featuring performances by Cherry Pitz, Delirium Tremens, Lucky Charming, Mary Cyn, Matt Knife and Miranda Raven, this Who show follows similar tributes to Harry Potter, Mad Men, and Star Wars – as well as a similar Doctor Who show. In addition to corsets and leggings, this is what to expect:

“The Doctor is back! It’s Cherry’s birthday and the Doctor always visits on her birthday, he hasn’t missed one of them in over 90 years! What adventure is it this time? Is it a [Cyberman]? The Vashta Narada – perhaps a Nude [Ood]? Maybe this time nothing will go wrong…maybe this time he will be able to say with confidence “No one dies today.” Or maybe the Doctor is ready to hit the big time; after all in the trailer for the upcoming series he does say, “Every time I think it couldn’t get any more extraordinary, it surprises me, It’s impossible, I hate it, it’s evil, it’s astonishing. I want to kiss it to death.”

Hotsy Totsy Burlesque is New York’s only episodic burlesque show featuring new scripts and rotating cast each month. Tickets for this Doctor Who show are just $10!

Spoilers, Sweetie?

maise_40

The Girl Who Died/ The Woman Who Lived star, Maisie Williams says she teased the Doctor Who crew with Game of Thrones spoilers if they annoyed her! She told Vulture:

“I would threaten people with giving them spoilers if anyone would wind me up. I would threaten to spoil the next episode. Or I’d go, “I’ll spoil the next season!” And everyone would be like, ‘No! No! No! Don’t! You can’t give any spoilers!’ So that was really, really good. It was a power I had over the whole cast and crew.”

With Jenna Coleman’s former boyfriend once starring in the hit HBO drama, it’s no shock that she watches Games of Thrones!

Of course, if Capaldi and co. casually surf online, they’re bound to unwittingly stumble on spoilers: if you haven’t seen the Season 5 finale, beware – it seemed every news outlet was shoving Jon Snow’s possible fate in your face!

Money Matters: With Peter Purves

Peter Purves aka Steven Taylor, companion to the First Doctor, has been interviewed by the Daily Mail, and in a surprisingly turn of events, gave them more fuel in their anti-BBC machine. Mind you, I suspect that, in typical Daily Mail fashion, it’s been blown out of proportion.

He simply said:

“I’ve never been paid what I should have been paid. The BBC were miserly in the 1960s and 1970s. One or two people seemed to feather their nests but I could never work out how that happened. Doing Blue Peter, we were not allowed to do any ancillary work, which was weird… In my first year, 1967, I was paid 35 guineas [£611 in today’s money] a programme and we did two a week. When I left the show in 1978, I was earning £95 a programme [the equivalent of £528 today]. I wasn’t terribly well paid but it amounted to a reasonable income at a time when many people were not earning much money. It enabled me to buy my first house.”

This turned into a headline underlining the BBC as miserly, and unfairly giving Purves a ‘poor little rich kid’ vibe. It’s not Peter at all, let’s face it. I’ve always had a lot of respect for the actor and pantomime director, but I’m nonetheless surprised he went to the Daily Mail for anything like this.

Cue commenters on the site moaning that he’s now got a £1 million house, and a Bentley (with a hearty dose of ‘tut, the BBC, eh?’).

Tut, the Daily Mail, eh?

That’s all for now! Now, get off my lawn before I turn the sprinklers on.

Now, Voyager?

Nick May is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

Ask any fan about the key ingredients of modern Who and they’ll mention the story arc, the enigmatic villain, some self-aware humour and a world-shaking finale. From time to time, this mixture seeks inspiration from past adventures- and not always from the TV series. The David Tennant two-parter Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel was based on Marc Platt’s novel Spare Parts.

Series 5’s The Beast Below owed a lot to Dave Gibbons’ comic strip The Space Whale (which was originally destined for the screen). However, for a tale that used all those ingredients long before the TV series, look no further than Voyager by Steve Parkhouse and John Ridgway.

The DWM comic strip in the early-mid Eighties was a hotbed of comic talent. Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, John Wagner and Alan Grant all cut their teeth on DWM and its weekly predecessor. By the end of the eighties, Moore and Gibbons had created Watchmen and ushered in the British invasion of the US comics industry; Wagner and Grant would begin an acclaimed run on Detective Comics. Soon Grant Morrison would join them, fresh from his run on the DWM strip, with Animal Man and Arkham Asylum. So what was so special about Parkhouse and Ridgway’s contribution?

For a start, they created a run of strips linked by an umbrella theme. It begins with the Doctor having a nightmare, before undertaking a quest to find the astral charts stolen from the Voyager by the Time Lords. Along the way, he encounters the renegade Time Lord Astrolabus. The ensuing chase takes in the Pharos Lighthouse, a galactic funfair, rescuing the rare and exotic Glot, a journey through the pages of Rupert the Bear ending in a showdown with the Voyager at the end of time itself. Compare that with the theft of the planets by the Daleks in Series 4 or the opening of the Pandorica and Rory’s millennia-long wait for Amy a season later and you can see the parallels.

dwm-voyager-bw

Budgetarily and tonally, Voyager was out of step with what was happening in TV Who at the time, but would work now. Audiences expect a story arc and the simplicity of Voyager’s central premise is its strength. Find the charts, catch Astrolabus, avoid the traps. Hands up who felt a bit short-changed when the Bad Wolf turned out to be a sign behind a Dalek? Voyager shows that you can have any number of diverse elements on the path to the overall denouement, as long as that denouement delivers. The final chase through Astrolabus’ cabinet of dreams harks back to The Deadly Assassin or The Mind Robber, and the scene where the Doctor and Astrolabus self-referentially run out of comic strip before the final showdown with the Voyager feels like the end of The War Games episode nine. The climax, where the Voyager rides into view like Lawrence of Arabia to flay the charts from Astrolabus’ skin in a howling sandstorm has a dark, epic feel to it. Like much great Who, it’s hardly original, but it works.

In creating Voyager Parkhouse and Ridgway produced a piece of work that can be seen as a template for modern Who.

Given the short space in which they had to tell their story, Parkhouse and Ridgway manage to create some memorable, well-drawn (no pun intended) characters. A recent piece on this very site complained about the dearth of strong villains in the series lately, especially for the central arc. Astrolabus is a charismatic villain, by turns OTT, broadly comic and sinister- a gift of a role for an older actor. If Bill Nighy ever wanted a larger role in the series than the one he had in Vincent and the Doctor, he’d be ideal. Peter Capaldi would have been good, too, but he has other commitments. Then there’s Isaac Asimoff, the mild-mannered alien zoologist, is an ideal comic foil.

There is, of course, the elephant in the room- or at least the penguin: Frobisher, the comic strip’s ‘Marmite’ shape-shifting companion. Any adaptation could, as a suggestion, remove a wisecracking, sardine-loving alien without too much difficulty. And should. Being a shape-shifter lends nothing to the piece (due to his suffering from monomorphia) and just helps reinforce the issues presented by Kamelion in the TV series – if the robot had worked, what would it actually have added to the show?

dwm-voyager-colour

Frobisher is the only negative in the overall picture. In a way, Voyager is the Spearhead From Space of Doctor Who’s comic strip incarnation: as well as its original run in DWM, it’s been released twice in graphic novel form, once as a ‘Collected Comics’ special and also formed part of a series of free mini-comics that came with packs of Golden Wonder crisps in the mid-eighties, which is where your humble author first discovered the story and it became as much a part of Who as the videos and DVDs we watch ad nauseam. So it is with Voyager. Even now, the only bit of Lord of the Rings I can quote comes from this.

After Voyager, Parkhouse went to 2000AD, working with Grant Morrison and Mark Millar on the Big Dave series, before picking up work Stateside for Dark Horse Comics. Ridgway continued on DWM for a while, and stayed around to see the Seventh Doctor in (and Frobisher out!) in A Cold Day in Hell, as well as the return of Sarah-Jane Smith in 1990’s Train Flight. He, too, then went to 2000AD, working on the Judge Dredd spin-off The Dead Man, before decamping to DC Comics. In 2010, he drew to the Torchwood magazine strip Overture.

Parkhouse and Ridgway may not have found international stardom for their work. Interviews reveal two self-effacing guys who enjoy their work, but in creating Voyager they’ve not only produced a piece of work that can be seen as a template for modern Who but they provided a gateway into the world of Who beyond the series for a generation who were guzzling Golden Wonder crisps with their packed lunches…

Capaldi: Maisie Williams’ Character Is “cosmic”

Christian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

In this new video from BBC America, Peter Capaldi, and Steven Moffat, discuss working with Maisie Williams, better known as Game of Thrones‘ Arya Stark on Doctor Who Series 9.

We still don’t know who the 18-year old actress is playing, with Steven Moffat remaining very tight-lipped.

Speaking in Doctor Who Magazine #490, the showrunner says

“She’s a remarkable young actress, and I think she’s amazing in this. She’s such a contrast with Peter. He’s like a grand old Victorian barnstormer, and she’s like a YouTuber! So it’s a great contrast.”

The sentiment in the video is similar – great actress, but we’re not telling you what’s going on. However Peter Capaldi will at least share one word that describes her: “cosmic”

Maisie Williams appears in the episodes The Girl Who Died and The Woman Who Lived, which will air as episodes five and six of Doctor Who Series 9 on the 17th and 24th of October.

New 30’ Cutdown Trailer for Doctor Who Series 9

Christian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

Here’s the third Doctor Who Series 9 trailer to be doing the rounds on TV, which is basically a 30 second re-edit of the second trailer.

This time around, we’ll not bother you with a trailer breakdown, as you can just pick and choose from the last one. Same goes for the trailer gallery.

If by some chance you’re unaware that Doctor Who Series 9 returns to BBC One and BBC America on September 19th, there’s a good chance that you may not know that it stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman as the Doctor and Clara, or that Michelle Gomez will be appearing in the opening episode, The Magician’s Apprentice, returning as Missy.

But of course, this is one of the world’s biggest TV shows, so naturally you knew all that. And like us, you probably cannot wait…

Big Finish New Releases Roundup News Blast

Nick Kitchen is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

The days between now and the premiere of Series 9 are slowly dwindling, but the wait is excruciating. Fortunately, in addition to the weekly festivities that BBC America have for American Whovians (Doctor’s Finest anyone?), Big Finish is constantly giving us an onslaught of audio awesomeness to keep us entertained with new adventures with the Doctor and the expanded Whoniverse.

Today, we bring you a news blast with all of the latest and greatest from Big Finish: an interview with Colin Baker, new Doctor Who releases out soon, Iris Wildthyme, and more. Let us begin, shall we?

This is Colin Baker Out Now!

For fans of the Sixth Doctor, this is a release you won’t want to miss! This is Colin Baker is a fantastic discussion between Baker and Nicholas Briggs, recounting Baker’s career. Here’s a taste of what to expect:

“Colin Baker’s career as an actor spans six decades of television and theatre. To many he is Paul Merroney from the BBC’s much-loved 1970s drama The Brothers. To others he is the unhinged Bayban the Butcher in Blake’s 7, or Inspector Morse on stage. Or perhaps some know him best simply as Colin Baker himself, the man who entered the jungle and won over the nation in I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. Yet, millions know him best as the colourfully-dressed Sixth Doctor in Doctor Who, a character that has endured – and will continue to endure – through generations. This is Colin’s own story, in conversation with interviewer Nicholas Briggs.”

The audio is out now and available for your enjoyment!

Cover and Cast Revealed for All Consuming Fire

If you’ll direct your attention to the image above, Big Finish has finally revealed the cover for the audio adaptation of the Virgin New Adventures novel, Doctor Who: All-Consuming Fire. In addition, the cast for this audio has also been revealed. In addition to Sylvester McCoy and Nicholas Briggs as the Doctor and Sherlock Holmes, the audio will also see the pair joined by companions Ace (Sophie Aldred), Bernice Summerfield (Lisa Bowerman) and Doctor John Watson (Richard Earl). The audio is set to release in Decmeber but is available for preorder now.

Iris Wildthyme: Wildthyme Reloaded Out Now!

Iris is back and is coming loaded with eight (!) brand new adventures! The trailer above gives you an idea of what the Trans-Temporal Time Lady is up to this time around, and she is not alone as she is joined by her companion Captain Turner. In addition to Katy Manning, the audio also features the talents of Geoffrey Breton, Nicola Bryant, Lisa Bowerman, Tracey Childs, Ian Hallard, Chris Rankin, Charlie Hayes, Toby Longworth, Stephen Fewell, Lizzie Hopley, David Blackwell and David Warner. The audio is available for purchase now!

Big Finish Actress Joyce Gibbs Passes Away

Its with sadness that we report that actress and popular member of the Big Finish family, Joyce Gibbs, has passed away at the age of 87. Audio fans will recognize her as the narrator of the first series of Dalek Empire. Producer Nicholas Briggs had this to say about her:

“Joyce was a real joy to work with, bringing a very special quality to her work. She was such fun and so bright and friendly.”

Those of us here at Kasterborous wish her family and friends our most sincere condolences.

That brings us to wrap of this news blast, dear readers! Any of these releases have you excited? Or if you’ve already listened to those that are out now, what did you think? Let us know!
