Don’t Be a Hero is coming November 2nd
On November 2nd, war is coming. My superhero novel Don’t Be a Hero will be flying onto digital shelves in one month’s time. I anticipate it will be up fastest in ebook formats on Amazon Kindle, Kobo, and Smashwords. Over the following couple of weeks it will also show up on Apple’s iBookstore, Barnes & Noble’s Nook store, and in print paperback. A few advanced reader copies are already winging their way to some book bloggers, so hopefully I’ll have some reviews to share with you. (Incidentall...

DON’T BE A HERO: Sneak Peek
It’s a bad time to be a superhero.
When the world turned its back on metahumans, the golden age of superheroes came crashing down. But now a mysterious supercriminal is making one final bid for power, and with no one else left to protect the world, ex-hero Spook must risk everything to take him down. There will be no reprieve, no negotiation. War is coming.
Put on the mask. There’s work to be done.
Chris Strange, author of THE MAN WHO CROSSED WORLDS, presents a stunning, no-holds-barred superher...

September Update: Or, What The Hell Have I Been Up To?
Sometimes time flies. And sometimes time has a warp drive with added jetpacks strapped to its back, and you’re so busy trying to hang onto the damn thing you don’t even realize several months have passed until you find out you’ve grown a beard and you really, really need to use the bathroom.
Which is a roundabout way of saying everything’s been pretty hectic the last few months, and my internet presence has inevitably suffered. But fear not, because despite real life’s futile attempts to make...

Where Did All The B Movies Go?
These blog posts are getting so far apart you could sail the Titanic between them. One of these days I’ll get a decent posting schedule going. At the moment I’m chest-deep in edits for Don’t Be a Hero, so between that, uni work, seeing The Avengers, and being lazy, blogging has once again fallen by the wayside.
But that’s not why I’ve gathered you all here today. Lately I’ve been watching a lot of B movies from the ‘50s and ‘60s, and I’ve been thinking about the decline and resurrection of low...

What I’m Up To At The Moment
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve also been neglecting Twitter and Facebook, for those of you who follow me there. Bad Chris!
Truth is, I’ve been trying to cut down on my internet time in order to get more writing done. I love the internet. I really do. There are so many interesting, hilarious, and occasionally educational things out there that it’s a constant battle to actually turn it off and walk away. So in order to actually use at least some of my non-university-related tim...

The Death and Return of Superman
A brilliant educational rant about the absurdity of death in comics. Don't miss the cameos by Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore and others.

The Man Who Crossed Worlds is FREE on Amazon!
Yeah, so the title of the post says it all.
My no-holds-barred pulp/noir/crime urban fantasy novel (say that 10 times fast) The Man Who Crossed Worlds is totally free for Kindle on Amazon for the next two days (until 11:59pm on 24th January Pacific Standard Time).
If you don't have an actual Kindle but still want to read, get yourself one of these fine Kindle apps for your iThing or other gizmo.
Go. Run. Download.

Star Wars Uncut: Director’s Cut is freakin’ fantastic
Some of you guys out there might have heard of Star Wars Uncut, a crowdsourced, shot-for-shot remake of Star Wars: A New Hope made entirely of user-submitted 15 second clips.
Well, if you hadn’t heard of it before, you have now. And now the final, polished director’s cut is up on Youtube. I’m part way through it, and it’s insane, surreal, and utterly fantastic. Check it out.
