La Lune Noire is a world I have loved getting lost in. It’s dark and gritty, but full of music and dancing and an eclectic Prohibition vibe that begs you to stick around. The Noire brothers and the setting offer lighthearted fun and humor that were so enjoyable to pen.
It was the perfect balance for this story because Ryker and Mercy have been through it. Their past is heavy. Their traumas are cutting. Their journey is rough, fraught with hardships and history. But twenty years of friendship transcends those aches and delivers a dynamic love and fiery chemistry that felt so huge to write. And the way Ryker—and the rest of the Noire brothers—embrace Mercy and her son and fold them into their family will forever have a grip on me.
